Courtyard (South)

Anath avoided using the main pathway, unsure really of where it was he was going. The boy generally kept his eyes low, despite the strange creatures and unique scenery to behold. As he passed Anya and Zwei, however, he paused briefly, thinking he was seeing another child like himself. Drawn by curiosity, he approached the duo with slow, padding steps.
"Um..." he muttered, trying to get their attention without interrupting. "Are you...?" he stopped, noticing that Zwei's height was deceiving of her actual age. Feeling a bit embarrassed, he looked away and fidgeted with his backpack.

Zwei smiled wide, suddenly very energetic, very thrilled that she had a new campus buddy.
"Good! I'd be totally lost without a campus buddy! People are so much taller around here! I feel so short again! I thought females were short like myself at my age! I know guys are always tall, but females? Jeeeez!" She paused for a moment and took a whiff of air.
"You smell like blood!" Zwei blurted out. Before she could say more she heard a small mutter, she turned her head to see a boy about her height.
"HEY LOOK! Someone my height! Sweet! Sup short stuff? You new too? Like I was saying, there's soooo many tall people here! We short peoplez gotta stick together and make some friends!" Her ears twitched and tail wagged with excitement.

"S-short stuff?" Intoned the boy, slightly caught off guard by Zwei's overly-enthusiastic greeting. "I ... eh... I, well..." not knowing what else to do, he just stared at her with a slightly taken aback look on his face. Adjusting the bottom of his white long-sleeved shirt, he muttered a quiet reply.
"I suppose there are many tall people here..." he agreed, eyes sliding down to look at his feet. Anath's fingers automatically rose up to push his dark, thick-rimmed glasses to a more comfortable position, for they kept sliding down his nose and clearly were too big for him.  

[Anya Rain]

Anya stood there for a second becoming even more confused, even tho she was normally quick thinking and good at coming up with reponses, today just wasnt her day. especially after the fire thing of which she was still trying to figure out how it happened.

'i have never quite met anyone like Zwei, she has so much energy, where dose she get it from.' Anya thought to herself feeling as if she was acting like an idiot.

"You smell like blood!" Anya stood there looking confused and a bit dazed "i...i do?" she said confused about why she would smell like blood. Anya stood there again staring down at Zwei with an 'im blond' look running across her face, when a guy that was about the same height as Zwei walks up behind her.

Zwei smiled at him and pointed to Anya.
"She's my campus buddy! You should be our campus buddy too since your new! The more the merrier!" She was so enthused she had made friends in so little time. So enthused that she, a freak to most, had not just one, but TWO people paying attention to her. This by far was one of the best events in her life to her currently.
"We should get food! I didn't pack any, I'm thinking like...rabbit? I know it's a bit on the dry meat side, but I can put some MEAN spices in it!" She paused, reconsidering the fact she no longer lived in a wild animal zone.
"Do they even have animals around here to eat? If they don't, what a lame school! How are we gonna eat if we don't have food lying around?"
Zwei looked around for a small bit, when she heard the chuckle of a squirrel from the tree above, she dove up the tree. Climbing the bark with her boots and claws.
"HI SQUIRRELY!!" she grabbed the helpless squirrel and began searching for more food.

Anath watched Zwei quietly. It was difficult to tell what thoughts trailed through his small head as he stared, although his face formed an expression of slight surprise and disgust at the mention of 'Rabbit' or 'Squirrel' as a meal.
A cold breeze crept upon the courtyard, and Anath found himself looking curiously to the sky, only to have his glasses nearly fall off in surprise at how large and obscure the buildings were that towered over them. Composing himself, he shoved his glasses back up his nose. The gesture was one he repeated often.
Realizing that he and Anya were left relatively alone by Zwei, he turned his attention to his feet again. "I'm Anath," he mumbled, introducing himself to the both of them. The fact that he practically spoke into his shirt made it difficult to hear him, and he did not meet either of their eyes as he muttered. "I find it... a pleasure to meet you." he added a small, respectful bow of the head.
Anath's father had always told him to be polite and try to make conversation. The boy tried his hardest, even though Anath never felt conversation was a particularly strong point of his. His all-too-advanced-for-his-age vocabulary had once been heavily ridiculed by other children, so he had stopped talking altogether for a long while. Now, he assumed, things would be different. After all, this was a high school, wasn't it?

Sukai was walking by when she noticed two girls and a boy talking amongst themselves. One of the girls seemed quite hyperactive, and she watched as the girl dove into a tree after a squirrel. She had a sneaking feeling in the back of her mind that squirrel wasn't going to necessarily survive the girl's chase after it. She stopped infront of them kind of shy before putting on a rather small smile.

"Hullo," came her quiet tone.

By now Sukai had to be at this school for at least a good couple of months. She still had failed to make new friends. Sukai continued to be quite a loner, moving from class to class nonchalantly until she ended up back in her quiet dorm room once again serenading herself with her guitar. But never mind that, she still was plenty ready to try to make herself some new friends, and at least have someone to talk to in this school or so her counselor advised.  

[Anya Rain]

Anya stood there looking blankly at Zwei. Zwei was starting to seem a bit mental but it didnt bother Anya any. actually she found this quite funny and could help but to laugh a bit.

"ummm i dont know if the school has animals to eat" Anya says as Zwei grabs a squirl. ignoring Zwei and holding out her hand Anya makes a map of the school appear out of thin air and in happiness that her power worked again, yells "YES IT WORKS." she jumps up and down in excitement smiling, as the map bursts into flames.

Anya fell to the ground as she bursts into laughter, for no aparant reason "oh my goddess it happened again" Anya says laying there looking up at the sky, still laughing. then a funny thought crossed her mind 'is craziness contagious?' Anya looks over at Zwei and bursts into laughter again.

"Really?" Zwei looked down at the squirrel and tossed it behind her, not really aiming the squirrel. She climbed onto a hovering branch and swung upside down by her knees. Watching as the sliver haired boy attempt at conversation, another girl approached and also tried at conversation and Anya set a map that appeared out of thin air, burst into flames. And then burst into a fit of laughter.
Zwei was amusingly puzzled at all the reactions. She couldn't help but laugh herself.
"What Anya means is that it's nice to meet you too! She's Anya and I'm Zwei! What yer guys's names?" She swung back and forth very breezily with a toothy smile planted on her face.

Anath kept his face quiet and composed. He didn't smile, although he didn't really seem to notice that he wasn't doing so. Anath jumped a bit with surprise as the map caught on fire unexpectedly in Anya's hand, and his eyes slid over Zwei, watching her with curiosity. He stared, then looked at Sukai.
"Hello," he replied to Sukai politely, bowing his head to her as well, his glasses sliding down his nose once again.  

[Anya Rain]

Anya finally stopped laughing to notice that there were two other people standing by them. Anya stands up slowly and looks from person to person realizing how bad she really was at making first impressions. that thought just made Anya laugh a bit more before calming down

"Im sorry, yes im Anya" She holds out her hand and looks down to make sure that it wasn't on fire. especially since that has been happening alot. slowly Anya put her hand down figuring that was a bad idea, and looks up with a smile smile on her face.

"Umm im sorry about the fire thing, its rather new and im not quite sure how to ummm control it" Anya says slowly, trying to figure out where she got this new power from, well that was if it was a power.

Anya looked down at her hand, and took a step back away from everyone. closing her eyes and holding her hand she imagined a ball of fire appearing there. 'maybe it works like my summoning power.' Anya thought to herself picturing the fire. She felt her fingers got warm, but when she opened her eyes nothing was there.

Giving up Anya put her hand back down, and took a step back towards the group. She watched the squirrel that Zwei had thrown, as it ran into a bush and directed her attention back too the group.

As the crazy squirrel hunter named Zwei had introduced herself, Sukai had watched as she slung herself upside down on a tree branch.

"She's Anya and I'm Zwei! What yer guys's names?"she heard her say excitedly and it caught her off guard a little.

"Hello,"came the other person's reply, the boy that was somewhere towards the front of her. She watched as Anya had backed up only to rejoin the group again. This left Sukai being the only one out of this group to not give a name.

"Um..My name's Sukai." she said with a smile grin and a bow to at least show that she was willing to not be the odd one out today.

"It's a pleasure to meet all of you," she threw in for good measure.

Today was all about making good solid impressions and not scaring people off in the way she tended to normally. It was also the day that she would finally try to make some friends.
'Just act normal, whatever that means...' she thought to herself.

"Your hand isn't hurt is it?"she asked Anya slightly concerned, noting the previous event of her suddenly setting something ablaze within her palm.

"Anath, Anya, Sukai, and ZWEIIII!!!" She shouted pointing at everyone and then herself. Zwei lifted herself back onto the tree and into a crouch position.
"If I can't eat the animals then lets go find like...um...a rest-r-rant? It's been far too long! I think I was like...10 when I last went to one. NO WAIT! There was that one time during KeiKei's birthday..." She thought for a moment before averting her attention back at the small group.
"So yeah! Food!" Zwei jumped down from the tree, very smoothly, but also very inelegantly. She was quick to compare her height to Sukai.
"Your tall too! Tall, tall, tall, tall! Aren't there any Vulpes's around here besides me?"
