Courtyard (North)

[Felicity Sumner]

Little Feli watched on as the man suddenly snapped out of whatever rut he was in. She didn't really care, simply because she didn't even come close to understanding what was wrong. She just gave a couple blinks when he stood, then joined his laugh with a birhgt giggle of her own-- how could she resist?

As she was finaly spoken to her own laughing fell slowly silent and she just stared up at him for a moment, her mouth falling agape with a few blinks as she contemplated what he had asked her. Soon her head started to shake as she bit her lower lip.

"Nope! I don' need help!" She giggled, proud at the thought that she didn't, it meant she was a big girl... too bad she hadn't looked in the mirror lately.

Felicity then turned her painted face way from them and skipped away with more giggles. As she neared ten feet out she began to hum a childish tune. She would be back, she always comes back.

He raised an eyebrow at the girl who was skipping away, wondering what sort of odd place she might have come from.

He cracked his neck, and then looked at Lena who was still trying to come back to reality. He knelt down beside her, listening to her breathing. It was starting to become erratic and Taern didn't know if her mind or body could take much more.

He took his hand, and placing it one Lena shoulder, shook her a bit, trying to get her to snap out of it. She didn't seem to be escaping from the bind she was in. When Taern placed his hand on her shoulder again, part of his memories flashed through his head. He quickly shook them off and then tried speaking to Lena. He started out softly.

"Lena, it's Taern. Snap out of it."

Taern hope it would work but there was no real way of knowing. If it took any longer. He might have to find help.

Max_the_Man

((Sorry I haven't posted for a while))

Max sighed. He heard from some other students that there were many people at this school who were like that... no where to go, no one to accept them. But Ria graciously enrolled them and gave them a home.

The way Seth was talking about it, he didn't really want to discuss his past. Max jumped down from the statue and leaned against it.

Max looked at his watch and his eyes widened. "It's 5 o' clock already!" He gasped. He ran towards the door and waved goodbye to Seth. He didn't feel like it was nice leaving Seth alone, but he had no choice. He didn't have anything to do, but he liked being back at home by 5 o' clock. He almost tripped entering the building but caught himself and ran upstairs.

Lena gave a final shuddered, finally coming back to reality. She blinked at the brightness and realized that she had fallen back. She was lying on her back and staring up at Taern. His voice soothed through her mind, breaking the memories away from her. She took a deep breath and sat up slowly. She place dher hadnd to her head as dizziness swept her. "What happened?"

To Taern, Lena seemed a bit out of it but she new it was her nature to recover quickly so he let her be. In response to her question, he casually said, "You must've had a bad dream.", hoping it might hide the actual truth from her.

He adjusted his eyes to the sunlight, which had now shifted so that it was almost directly on his face. He turned back to Lena, looking at her for any signs of weakness or trauma, he saw none that might cause a problem, so he didn't bother saying anything. He leaned back on the tree, and just stared off into the distance.  

[Zejx Frostrider]

"North courtyard..." Zejx looked up from the map he was drawing of the school. "Trees, and a fountain..." He paused when he looked toward the fountain. "I wonder..." He walked up to the fountain and looked down at his reflection. He smiled and let out a sigh. Seeing his reflection was a great sight for him. It meant that the other part of him was still asleep. A part of him he hoped never will awaken again.

He turned away and looked around the rest of the area. After a moment of drawing on his map, he slid it into his pocket. It was time for a break. He had been walking around the place all day. Now he was going to rest. Zejx slowly sat down and leaned up against the fountain, the sound of the water helping him to relax.

Lena gave a weak smile and turned her gaze to look around the courtyard. There were a few people here. A little girl was off playing by herself. Her mind turned to what she had seen. It had to have been a bad dream but why dream about Taern. That was the only thing that confused her. She caught sight of some guy looking in the fountain. She grimaced slightly. Talk about vain. Her eyes lit up in humor as she thought of something. She slipped her hand into her boot and pulled her dagger. Keeping an eye on Taern, she threw the dagger, making it bury itself just off to the right of the guy.

The little bubbly and strange girl had found another target, sitting beside the water fountain. She giggled a bit from the distance then set her tiny feet in motion. The ill-fit boots giving a soft thud as she approached in the peppy jog. "Hi!" She greeted, a greeting that most found hard to ignore simply due to the high voice and dominating volume. She then placed her hands upon the lip of the fountain just off to the side of Zejx and looked over to him. She was too small to make it on her own so she simply sat and stared at him, blinking those adorably eyes a bit as she waited for him to get the picture. Her face paint a little smeared on the left side, but if taken over all one could still tell it was meant to be a tiger. The shirt she was wearing was a light beige colour.. most every where, though a glimps under the collar would show that it used to be white. Her plaitnum hair was also falling out of the pigtail braids she had always managed to get others to fix for her.  

[Zejx Frostrider]

Zejx quickly turned his attention to the dagger that had decided to join him as he sat at the fountain. He was so focused on the weapon that he didn't really acknowledge the greeting. So as he began to stand up, he noticed her and jumped to his feet. "What the? First a dagger, now a little girl? Does this place have random stuff just falling from the sky?" After a moment of calming himself, he looked to the little girl. "Sorry about that. You scared me there. Is there something I can do for you?"

She smiled and gripped at the edge of the fountain as best she could. Trying to pull herself upon the lip of the fountain, she thought it would be a fun place to play. "Up!" She said, almost a command as she had not yet learned the value of asking rather than demanding. She then et her small form relax back unto the ground as she waited for Zejx to lift her where she wanted. "What's a daggerer?" She then moved into her questions mode, completely oblivious to the exsistance of the blade that had been thrown at the man.
As soon as the first question was out she would begin humming once more her typical juvenal tune, a light and lively mealody that fit her bright demeanor well. And, of course, she wiggled.. having the inability to sit still. She continued squirming, and would until her question were answered, or she were lifted to the fountain-- she definately preffered both.  

[Zejx Frostrider]

Zejx let out a sigh and lifted the girl up onto the fountain. He made sure to stand where his leg hid the dagger from her. Putting his right behind his back and using back of his heel, he kicked the dagger upward into his hand. Catching by the hilt, he kept it hidden behind his back. He felt that it was something the girl shouldn't know about.

"A what? Did I say something weird?" He gave a fake laugh and scratched the back of his head. "I need to learn to stop that. I'm always just saying weird things like that." He couldn't believe he was doing this. Acting like a fool was not something he usually did. But he knew first hand what its its like learning about weapons at a young age.

Felicity's little brow furrowed slightly, causing a light distortion in the face paint she wore. Her eyes then narrowed slightly, something just wasn't adding up to the little girl. She pulled her chin towards her chest as she began to let her eyes wander a bit. Soon the tiny wandering grew, her head giving turns as she looked around the fountain and the one she was with. "But.. But you said. You said a little girl-- and I'm a little girl. And you said a daggerer and I don't know what that is." She then began to shuffle her feet a bit as she saw nothing new about the fountain as it was. That left Zejx, if there was this daggerer thing around, like he said, then he had it.. and she was determined to find it. She scooted towards the edge of the fountain, nearing the water, and decided to start moving around to one side, see if she could get a glimps of what he might be hiding.. this obviously wasn't the first time someone had tried to hide something from the girl.  

[Zejx Frostrider]

Zejx turned the dagger and slide it blade first into the sleeve of his jacket. "I don't know of any daggerer. You just startled me enough to make me say something stupid." He brought his arm back in front of him and quickly tighted the button on the cuff so the dagger was secure and wouldn't fall out or in farther. Then did the same to the other cuff so not to look too suspicious. He would have to worry about it later. "So... is there anything I can do for you miss...?"

She tilted her head slightly as her lips crinkled off to the side a bit, and sat there pondering for a quick moment. Soon the moment passed, she would believe him, no daggerer. "What's your name?" SHe would leave a slight pause, moving on whether or not he answered within the break she had given him. "What's you third favorite colour? Do you like carrots?" Her wiggling had once again started. Her feet shuffling her back to where she was set upon the water fountain. As soon as she reached the desintation she plopped right down with a thud, not the most gracious thing out there most obviously. Her feet kicked out foreward as she wiggled her bottom into her new seat. A gigantic smile plastered upon her face as she gazed over to her new friend.

Taern laughed a little at the dagger that was now buried quite deep in the stone of the fountain. It vibrated back and forth, making an entrancing noise which slowly came to a stop.

He saw the man at the fountain talking with the little girl and decided to take part in these little escapades. He rolled over on his side, and pulled his white gun, Umbra, from it's holster. He then slipped his second gun, Ombra from it's holster and held each in one hand. He clicked of the safety and let shot after shot fly, aiming each on carefully around Lena's dagger. After all the shots were fired, the piece of the fountain Lena's dagger was in had separated itself, falling hard onto the ground.

He then smiled a bit, and holstered his guns.
