More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Annie turned and paused and said with a frown, "Don't imagine unnecessary things from a casual metaphor use. And, I was actually referring to those at Valhalla as the crazy cat lady adopting me."

Shaking her head she turned and added as she headed to her room, "And painting isn't that particularly difficult. They teach finger painting in pre-school, even."

"Telling a chaotic mind not to do things kinda has the opposite effect. Most of the time." He replied as more images danced through his mind. Just like he said it would. It was in fact hard to control that sometimes.

"Yes I am sure autistic children pick up on finger painting with the greatest of ease. I think I just yelled at someone who wanted to show me how it was done. Can't say I remember those days though"

She paused at her room's door and turned and said, "Did you just call me autistic? I was a completely normal kid, I will have you know. Clever... a higher than average IQ... I think I heard 'borderline genius' a few times, but I was a normal enough kid. And, sure, I was pretty popular because I could paint pretty awesome dragons in kindergarten, but that doesn't make me unusual."

"Yeeaaah pretty sure, I mentioned a couple of times that I was autistic before the meteors. Not noticing the whole borderline genius thing right now. But who knows. Maybe I was kickass with finger painting"

"Maybe and you never got the chance to try out your artistic talents," She said turning and opening the door. It was a standard room but there was several canvases laid out throughout the room. Most were fairly elaborate paintings of woods full of bright colors and rich greens. But there were others that were full of red and what looked like broken dolls. Most of those were hidden under the forest paintings. She pointed to a drawer and said, "There are some empty canvases and paint there. Feel free to use the easel if you want."

She sat down on the bed and pulled off her shoes.

He took a good look at the room. But mostly the paintings. They seemed peaceful. The forests at least. Those hidden red ones...not so much."I think I shall." With his telekinesis the objects set themselves up before him."Broken..broken doll. Waiting for someone to fix you." He softly mumbled unaware of his actions. Alexavier began to paint the scenario he saw when he was inside of Legion. Inside of his own dream. Hills and pastures as far as the eye can see. A clear blue sky with in the middle, sitting in the grass, a blonde man. It all seemed like a childish painting at first until he began to add details. Details that even surprised him. Perhaps he had copied his skill from Annie when he dove into her mind once. Or maybe it was someone else. Either way, he was doing alright.

She froze at Alexavier's mumbled phrase about the broken doll and stood, heading to the bathroom when she paused to see the image slowly building on the canvas. She frowned and said with a note of humor in her voice, "You just may get into art school yet."

"Yeah right. Can you see me trying to sit still in class? That ain't gonna happen." Alexavier replied as his brush seemed to race over the canvas. He ran black through the blue sky to create the cracks he saw when he was inside of his own dream.

"Oh, I think you would enjoy figure drawing classes knowing you," she replied, frowning at the painting. "The art majors used to pose for each other all the time outside of class too."

A tear streaked down her cheek, all was lost. All was truly lost and she can't let her know why. She took a deep breath and tried to come up with an explanation. "I've been emotionally compromised, Teshomaru went to rescue Freya and its been over a week since I last heard from him. I fear the worst but will have to go on a mission. One of which I may not return." She looked to Theonis. "I left my badge because I felt you should pick a new Head of Security. Chuck Richards is currently the Head of Security and Acting Head of Valhalla. Which seeing that you're up, you could relieve him of the latter. Goodbye Gidget." The last words were said with heavy sadness as if it was a final goodbye. She waited for her response and hung up. It wasn't like it was going to be a long goodbye considering she now barely even knew her.

She wiped her eyes and looked to Theonis,"She did what I was afraid off, not the way I expected but the result is the same" she grabbed her tissue. "I lost her Theo… I lost my best friend and she can never truly know why because it would only bring her pain." She rubbed her arms and held them tight her breath stuttering.

Gidget was puzzled by Trinity's reaction. She had a feeling that it had something to do with feeling she had lost her best friend after Gadget had become obsolete. What truly confused her is that she remembered having a conversation about that very topic only days ago.

Well she wasn't about to let this stay a thing. Gidget quickly got out of bed and made her way to Kodak's video chamber to get Trinity's whereabouts. The way she said goodbye led Gidget to believe that Trinity was no longer in Valhalla. She would need the visual junky's help to find her.

Christian raised a brow and answered, "No more than I got my powers from my mother. Technically, I have a variation of her power. Regardless, though, that sort of power uses energy from the individual's body. Calories are the body's energy. It is easier to use my power if I have a stock of Calories at my disposal. Though, it is probable that she has always had a fast metabolism. Powers tend to amplify or counteract ordinary traits. How else would you explain her powers as a sensor of auras. Obviously that is no way related to what is seen by many as her primary powers-the control of the molecular structure of liquids."

Damien was intrigued by this talk of power ambiguity. He didn't quite know what to make of it since he was perfectly in tune with what he was capable of.

His train of thought was cut off, though, when he realized that after all he had eaten he still felt hungry. At the suggestion of his mother and Christian, he had assumed that what he was ingesting would suffice. It helped, but there was still something left wanting.

He looked up at Christian. "Christian, may I ask you about the man you spoke of earlier, Shane?"

Damien was intrigued by this talk of power ambiguity. He didn't quite know what to make of it since he was perfectly in tune with what he was capable of.

His train of thought was cut off, though, when he realized that after all he had eaten he still felt hungry. At the suggestion of his mother and Christian, he had assumed that what he was ingesting would suffice. It helped, but there was still something left wanting.

He looked up at Christian. "Christian, may I ask you about the man you spoke of earlier, Shane?"

Christian's blue eyes narrowed dangerously at Damien and he said bluntly, "What of him? He's dead. He used my mother just as much as she used him-if not more so. What about that man? And I use the term loosely at best."

"Perhaps with that in mind we should be behind the mirror. C'mon guys!" She lead Deora, and Larry behind the mirror and closed the door. She pressed the button to speak into the microphone. "Okay Heather it's safe to look now." she wasn't sure how she would react to her new appearance considering it wasn't completely human.

Heather turned and looked at her image once more. She drew her hands up to her face and gasped. While still not completely human, she recognized the parts of her that were. It wasn't the most she could ask for, but it was a start. No more dew lap, snout, or rows or many tiny teeth. With the exception of her limbs, wings, horns, and eyes she was at ease with herself for the first time.

Larry watched his sister carefully, but was pleased to see that she had taken the change very well. With a joking chuckle he suggested, "Maybe now Liv would like you."

Heather felt something stir inside of her at the mention of her crush. It was hot, primal, and exciting. It didn't occur to her at the time that her bestial nature was enhancing her desires. She had never read the fables telling of dragon's and their greed, their compulsion to horde riches. She also didn't know about a dragon's determination. They didn't take kindly to being told no.

She closed her eyes softly and felt her breath shudder as her cheeks took a rosy hue.

Larry, being that he was only ten, was confused by this sudden change in his sister's demeanor. He looked toward Deora and Kerana for some sort of explanation.

Damien shifted uncomfortably before answering. "What was his power? What made him so dangerous?"

"It was unnatural to stay the least," Christian answered, setting down his fork. "He was a living virus. He could consume anything and everything. Those he consumed he retained the memories, appearance, and power of. Perhaps it is better to say that was the nature of his power and not the nature of the individual. In the end the power consumed him completely and he died. I don't know the details, but my opinion is good riddance."

"My mother redirected that destructive force towards the HQ of Daedalus, in theory to rescue me, but honestly I think it was more for her thirst of revenge than anything else," Christian completed.
