More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Meh they wouldn't be able to keep up with changing the color of my hair." Alexavier replied. Suddenly he was done with this picture. Despite wanting to destroy it, why he didn't know, he didn't. He put up a new canvas. When he started to pain most of it was just black. With the exception of a slightly visible stairway that led towards a closed door. Light shone from it's sides dimly.

"Well if we are done talking I will go. Since all you seem to be interested in is my power and not me. Bye now." Liv told Ako and left. At first he seemed alright but that look alone and those questions! She didn't want to be around guys like that. She left the training room.

She shrugged and said, "Feel free to stay if you want, but I'm heading to the cafeteria. I need food. I did use quite a bit of energy earlier today."

"It was unnatural to stay the least," Christian answered, setting down his fork. "He was a living virus. He could consume anything and everything. Those he consumed he retained the memories, appearance, and power of. Perhaps it is better to say that was the nature of his power and not the nature of the individual. In the end the power consumed him completely and he died. I don't know the details, but my opinion is good riddance."

"My mother redirected that destructive force towards the HQ of Daedalus, in theory to rescue me, but honestly I think it was more for her thirst of revenge than anything else," Christian completed.

A living virus? Damien began to tremble in his chair. Thoughts of the ramifications ran through his head like a marathon of worst case scenarios. He looked to Christian, and then his mother. He could sense his mother's apprehension at the mere mention of Shane.

Without putting much thought into it, he simultaneously probed their memories for appearances of Shane. It didn't take long, no more than a few seconds, for the boy's to become white with terror. Christian sighed as he noticed Damien's response. Maybe he probed further into it than just asking? Damien's unease and fear made Christian feel on edge as well. He quickly slid off his chair and said, "I- uh- if you... look the guy's gone, right? Don't worry about it." Christian rubbed his arms and said, "Seriously, stop worrying about it. You're worrying is making me feel ill."

Damien could hear Christian's words echo like a voice from the other side of a deep chasm. Almost as if to oblige by the request, the boy's internal chemicals went into overdrive to settle his nerves and place him in a state of near bliss.

The endorphin rush made Damien's eyes lull for a moment before he smiled goofy and look to Christian. "I am sorry. I lost myself for just a moment. I must also apologize for probing without asking. I'm afraid my curiosity got the better of me. I am fine now, though quite concerned with something that has just come to mind."

His head pitched up and toward Cassandra next. "Can we go somewhere quiet, Mommy?"

Cassandra's first instinct was to hug the boy to calm him down. But when she saw Christian already taking action she calmed down a little. He was a good boy despite his intelligence. She could understand why Shane would trouble him. He was his spitting imagine and perhaps more.

"Okay sweetie." She said. Cassandra was finished eating anyway. Though she didn't know a quite place around here, anywhere away from this crowd would be better for him.

"Guess the kid didn't fix that huh? I'll tag along. First real meal and all." Alexavier replied.

Christian narrowed his gaze at Damian and said, "Your curiosity cost you more than me. And don't say 'something' concerned you. Something doesn't exist."

He glanced at Cassandra and said, "Well, I've lost my appetite, regardless."

"Guess the kid didn't fix that huh? I'll tag along. First real meal and all." Alexavier replied.

"I've always had a big appetite," Annie replied. "The curse of a fast metabolism. Back in college I think I spent more scholarship money on food than rent. And that was before I got my power."

"Well maybe you can take something with you in case you get hungry again. You're growing after all." Cassandra replied to Christian.


"Well that sucks for you. Glad I don't have a drawback like that. Wait that means I am totally fine. Not right either" Alexavier mumbled the last part.

Christian rolled his eyes at Cassandra's words and said, "I'll manage."



"At least I don't have to worry about getting pudgy, right?" Annie joked. "Still have my figure from when I was seventeen. Not a lot of mothers can say that. And it was a way to stick it to Daedalus. They had to pay my food bills, remember. Come to think of it Christian inherited my appetite... man, I was like the worst pregnant woman ever. Of course, I don't feel bad about that since it was their idea to pull that stunt anyways."

She shook her head as she led the way down the hall, "Anyways, there you go. You are normal compared to me at least in that aspect."

Theo let himself sink into the shadows with her. Nothing new there. But he wondered. Was there really a need to be away for a long time? With her shadow traveling she could easily return at the end of each day. Same went for supplies.

They emerged at the edge of town she still was feeling a sense of uncertainty about her recent big decisions. She paused a moment on that thought. She sighed a little and looked at the coordinates on the phone then compared to where they are currently. "It straight ahead this way. Do you think you could fly us there? It may be easier on the surface for this one."

"Sure, how high you wanna go?" Theonis asked as they both rose up into the air and moved towards their goal.

Alexavier laughed." I think Cassandra can give you a run for your money. So far she's the biggest glutton I know. True Superhuman Strength with a indestructible and unmovable body. Guess that takes some energy to maintain."

Annie laughed, "Well, I have an indestructible body too." She shifted into a liquid form, and spiraled into her liquid form and placed a watery hand on his shoulder and added, "Though, unmovable is not how I would define this form-slippery is more accurate."

She chuckled and her liquid body shifted back into her clothes and she returned to a solid form wearing her clothes again. "Of course, my liquid form is not an original aspect of my power." She shrugged. "Just as I originally did not have immunity to my own powers. That may be why I am more sympathetic to those I have killed."

"Sure, how high you wanna go?" Theonis asked as they both rose up into the air and moved towards their goal.

"I don't know. I guess high enough off the ground to still see it. I can track us on the smart phone."

"You need to turn it on and off though. When people hit you in that form they go through or in you. When they hit her they break their fists." Alexavier replied." Don't see why you need to be sympathetic to those you've killed. They won't know. Sympathy is for the living, not the dead"

"K" Theonis simply replied as they rose higher but not too high." Heh kinda reminds me when I first took you up here."
