Courtyard (North)

Lily felt herself fall to the ground, her other half hugging her, screaming her name like some crazed girl at a rock concert. "Alright alright Liz. I'm so happy to see you too..." She said softly to her hugging her right back, feeling the first loving embrace she had gotten since she'd left.

She then looked to Darius with a bitter sweet smile. "Hey Darius..." She said slowly, getting Liz to stop hugging her for a moment she could go to hug Darius...but as she walked to him, and tried to wrap her arms around him...she went straight through him.

She stopped for a moment, and turned around, looking at Darius, confused. "What just happened?"

"No, we'll be fine; as long as it doesn't pour." He said glancing around, "The girl isn't really a problem, her powers are too weak to do any real damage but it's the fact that she's gone missing from the manor that's troubling, I thought that she'd followed Lady Ayise here, but I guess not."

"Do you mean Tsubaki? I don't want to see her." Ayise said, trying to come back to reality.  

[Kumizu]

Kumizu just frowned. "Okay... well... you'll need to be covered." Kumizu held out his hand and a large square of water enclosed Ayise and Ezekiel. "Before you freak out, you can breathe just as easily as before. This shell will make sure you don't get wet unless you stick your hand outside of it."

Kumizu walked away from them a few feet. He suddenly dropped his cane and threw his hands into the air. Within seconds the sky darkened and rain began to fall. Saying that it poured would be an understatement. This burst only lasted about 10 seconds until, just as suddenly, the sky cleared.

Kumizu picked up his cane and walked back to the group. His cane was wet, but other than a few droplets in his hair, Kumizu looked completely dry. He snapped his fingers and the shell dropped to the ground in a puddle, which soon disappeared. "Now, who is Tsubaki?"

"Well...hm, how do I put this...?" Ezekiel seemed to be fumbling with the question, "She's...a part of the Mihara household!" He said brightly, failing to realize that statement didn't really answer the question. He paused thoughtfully, "But then again, she's not really...um..." He looked at Ayise for help.

Ayise frowned and pressed her lips together, crossing her arms across her chest.

Ezekiel sighed, "...Well..." He turned his head suddenly, hearing a loud clicking sound coming from the nearby bushes that immediately started to rumble and rustle.

Darius was rather shocked when Lily tried to hug him and failed. It was a very creepy feeling when she passed through him. He didn't know what it was but it sent a shiver down his spine.

He turned to face Lily his face showing a deep puzzlement and his eyes wide.

"I don't know...You just fazed through me..."

Lily looked at him a little worried, when Liz stepped in with a worried idea.

"Maybe it's like...a new power of yours." She said to her with a nervous smile.

Lily nodded. "Maybe she's right. I'll just try and concentrate on it..." She said before stepping up to Darius, standing face to face with him, and attempting to put her arms around him...but they went right through again, and she found herself hugging herself.

"I...I don't know what's going on..."

Darius became worried about what just happened. Lily just kept phasing through him and he couldn't quite understand why. He thought of one idea and tried seeing if it worked out.

"Let me try hugging you," Darius began, moving towards her. He wrapped his arms arround her, but he phased through her as well. He turned arroung to look at her, his eyes wide.

Lily shook her head. "I...I don't understand..." She said shaking her head.

Liz knew. Liz felt tears welling in her eyes as she looked at the two lost lovers seeing what they could not. It seemed Lily was dead...and Darius' was dying....at least on the inside.

He had been devestated when she had told him she wasn't sure if she loved him anymore...and even more devestated when she had left without a word. And now that they were back together...they couldn't even touch. It jsut didn't seem fair now did it?

"I think she's dead Darius..."

"I think she's dead Darius..."

The words rang through in his head and despite the brave face and its success it was now too much for Darius. At first there were a few tears, but they soon fell at a greater rate.

"It can't be..." he sniffled, "You can't be dead!"

The pain started to well up inside of him and his stomach started to cramp up as if he had been punched in the gut in a fight. His hands started to shake violently and he stepped backwards towards the fountain as if backing away from the truth. His wings sagged and his face had gone deathly pale.

"I'm not dead. Liz that is ridiculous." Lily said angrily.

Liz shook her head. "It's okay Lily...the sooner you accept it the sooner we can figure out why you haven't moved on yet..." Liz said softly, as she played the brave one now, walking over to Darius and giving him a tight embrace. One she knew Lily would have given him if she could.

"I am not dead!" Lily exclaimed as the wind picked up, blowing leaves to and fro from the strong breeze.

Darius wished that he could believe Lily but, what other reason could it be? The fact that it was not a new power and the fact that Liz was no longer feeling just was added insurance to his assumption.

He let liz embrace him as he just stared at on at Lily with sincere tears in his eyes.

"I'm sorry Lily..." he began, "But what else could it be?"

Lily shook her head. "No. I'm not dead. I'm not dead. Darius this can't be happening! Not now! Not after everything that has happened. It's too soon. No!" She yelled, collapsing on the ground and beggining to cry and Liz looked to Lily and to Darius, being unsure who to hug now.

"Lily...it's okay...we'll get this figured out."

Darius's tears stopped flowing down his face. He tried very hard to wiggle out of her grasp. He didn't wish to run all he wished to do was to sit down on the cement siding of the fountain and let the sadness brood over him.

Liz let him go and moved to her sister, who pulled away and shook her head again.

"I'm not dead. I'm going to prove it to you." She said to them, shaking her head and wiping her tears before she turned from then and ran away, not knowing where she would go, but she was going to go somewhere.

Darius didn't move as Lily ran away he just took his seat on the cement and stared down at the ground his blue crystal eyes shining sadly in the moonlight.

"So it's true..." he began sullenly, "She's really dead isn't she?"

Darius mearly began to cry again, knowing what the answer was going to be. The tears streamed down and started to fall to the floor as he despaired and pained for how he was going to cope.
