"Yeah but I think you wanna be some times. You're broken. You're not truly alive. But I suppose that's more philosophical. I've only been alive again for not so long. Nor do I know much about raising a kid." Alexavier replied and grabbed a burger and some pie.

Annie chuckled as she sat down and replied to him, "Impressive, you have to use your powers to come up with that one? I want to be dead all the time. The only reason I haven't offed myself yet is because one, it is a cowardly way to do things, and two, I have some concern about the Eco-system. My blood is pure poison... I'd rather keep that from polluting the Earth. Oh, and lastly, I am a bit difficult to off-even for myself."

"Soooo.....anything?" Theo asked." I'm all for spying and all but it is kinda silent isn't it?"

"Yeah… let's try another area…". She went to a different area of the facility where there were a few more Daedalus troops and a couple of scientists. They seemed to be running tests on a meteor fragment.

"Nah used my detective skills. I can space you ya know. Almost got rid of Shane that way. Also, a volcano would do nicely" Alexavier replied and sat down.

"Wait is that...." Theonis started." They just won't stop won't they?"

Annie's eyes narrowed dangerously at him and she said, "Again, it still is a cowardly thing to do-to purposely off yourself." She frowned, dissatisfied as she quickly cut her meat into slightly smaller pieces-not small enough to be called "bite sized" but small enough to be eaten in one bite if one had to or was in a rush. "I suppose I should make you responsible for my funeral arrangements, then..." She said, dryly, "since you have several solutions to properly dispose of me."

"Regardless, I suppose you could call me masochistic-or maybe it is just pigheadedness-I don't want to bail on things just because things are hard or I'm unhappy with my lot," Annie answered before she took one of the large pieces of meat and ate it in a single swallow.

"Wait is that...." Theonis started." They just won't stop won't they?"

"No they won't and I think I see why… look at the black board behind them. The writing is on the wall." The blackboard had various notes about the meteor, about trying to figure out how the powers are chosen and building an army of metas with propaganda leading to a whole army of metas at their disposal to take down Vallhalla. "Hmmm and it seems their troops would be wearing the meteor like a necklace or dog tags of some sort…it seems that Amanda was one of their guinea pigs…"

"Good way of thinking! But just lemme know when you do. I'd feel inclined to help."Alexavier replied and continued eating. Suddenly turning serious." And if I asked you to kill me?"

"So...they'd be making an army with selected powers only. That'd be a problem." Theonis commented." s**t...what if that's what they are using your teachers for? To find out how to select the right method for more shadow users? That'd be devastating. Shall I take em out?" He said with his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"Good way of thinking! But just lemme know when you do. I'd feel inclined to help."Alexavier replied and continued eating. Suddenly turning serious." And if I asked you to kill me?"

Annie raised a brow before glancing away and said with a sigh, "I can kill people I'm not overly attached to if the good of killing an individual outweighs the bad. And, I've already killed people. It isn't like I'm not a killer. My first kill was at 17... I started early."

"I wouldn't have been able to kill the biomass as long as any piece of Shane remained," She said, turning back to glance at him with narrowed brown eyes. "I don't think out my kills. Feel free to interpret that answer as you please. I avoid thinking about killing anyone: I'm a pacifist, that sort of thing doesn't pass my mind."

"No wait. If they are planning to build an army that means they have test subjects. Which may be where Tesho would be if they have not brain washed him yet. On a side note they may have Kerana's parents. When I rescued her Daedalus captured her parents. At least I can tie off that loose end." She brought up a picture of Kerana and her parents on her smart phone. They were looking through the shadows from the air duct above them all.

"Fine" Theonis replied and removed his hand from the hilt."So what if we really do find them? Snatch them and go back, continue searching for Tesho or both? I'm not sure if we can do both."

"Can't say I remember mine. Done so many in my head not sure how many in real life. No wait, I meant with my head." Alexavier replied. His head jerked swiftly towards the real entrance of Valhalla." Hmmm thought I sensed something but now it's gone."

"Yes, well, I'm a pacifist that sort of thing would stick out-" She paused as she noted his comment about sensing something. " 'Something'? That is sort of vague. I don't have the ability to sense anything of importance... and I was distracted."

She held up a piece of her steak and said with a smile, "Eating is a sacred art that should be taken quite seriously. This steak isn't bad..." She joked, "I think I've fallen in love." Though she was joking, her brows were knitted together showing she was bothered by Alexavier's casual comment.

"Fine" Theonis replied and removed his hand from the hilt."So what if we really do find them? Snatch them and go back, continue searching for Tesho or both? I'm not sure if we can do both."

"I'd say all or nothing." Her eyes narrowed in thought. "It wouldn't be right to just save Kerana's parents when there are so many other human test subjects. To top that off we're not sure if Tesho has been captured or if they've brainwashed him already. When we find that out we'll decide the next step."

She watched a guard come in to talk to the other, "Hey Jake guess what? The eagle has left the nest!"
"You serious?! Man I thought she'd never leave Chuck must be pleased. He can finally initiate the plan to take over Valhalla."

Trinity swore, "How could this have happened?! We do thorough background checks. Now this may change everything." She rubbed her head. " If I can't even do this, I wouldn't be able to retire no matter how much I wanted to..."

Theonis put a hand on her shoulder. " We need to go back. We know where this place is now. If Valhalla is being invaded by them then we need to stop them. This takes priority."

"Theonis I can't … I can't go back…" She just made this big decision and made all of the arrangements. What was she supposed to do? Say 'just kidding, now I'm back'? She shook her head she couldn't protect Valhalla because of how much Gidget has forgotten further more she really couldn't face Gidget after what she had done.

" What? Because of Gidget?" Theonis said astonished. " You seriously risk losing Valhalla because of someone who chose to live in a lie? Really? People can die! People who you swore to protect! You don't get to abandon them! Not now when they really need you!" Theo spoke up. He actually was getting angry over her choice. Walking on eggshells because of one person?

"Perhaps with that in mind we should be behind the mirror. C'mon guys!" She lead Deora, and Larry behind the mirror and closed the door. She pressed the button to speak into the microphone. "Okay Heather it's safe to look now." she wasn't sure how she would react to her new appearance considering it wasn't completely human.

Heather turned and looked at her image once more. She drew her hands up to her face and gasped. While still not completely human, she recognized the parts of her that were. It wasn't the most she could ask for, but it was a start. No more dew lap, snout, or rows or many tiny teeth. With the exception of her limbs, wings, horns, and eyes she was at ease with herself for the first time.

Larry watched his sister carefully, but was pleased to see that she had taken the change very well. With a joking chuckle he suggested, "Maybe now Liv would like you."

Heather felt something stir inside of her at the mention of her crush. It was hot, primal, and exciting. It didn't occur to her at the time that her bestial nature was enhancing her desires. She had never read the fables telling of dragon's and their greed, their compulsion to horde riches. She also didn't know about a dragon's determination. They didn't take kindly to being told no.

She closed her eyes softly and felt her breath shudder as her cheeks took a rosy hue.

Larry, being that he was only ten, was confused by this sudden change in his sister's demeanor. He looked toward Deora and Kerana for some sort of explanation.
