She started helplessly at the beast; its eyes were a trance. The pure aw of the magic claimed her mind and soul. Any new form of magic had always captured her imagination and interest. Le’Minz broke down from that summon, it was hard for him. She almost dove down after him as he collapsed but she resisted knowing he didn’t want to look weak.

As the voice boomed throughout the hall it made her heart skip and her chest feel hollow. It carried her away and lost herself to the voice. “Fane Eala!” It had been a while since she had spoken her own language.

The butterfly counts not months but moments,

The booming voice erupting from the magnificent form before the crowd rumbled the window panes slightly, and made D'Monde's lungs feel as if they were quivering. For a moment, his normal smile faded slowly from his features, and he opened his narrow eyes behind his glasses. His gaze traced the figure replacing Le'Minz, his eyebrows raising to signal his curiosity and respective awe. Comically as usual, he pursed his lips and blew out a whistle, which was easily audible due to the fact that every other sound had grown utterly silent, beside the personal ringing of everyone's ears from the thunderous voice emitted seconds before.

and has time enough.

Before Alu had started aiding the other students with their luggage a brilliant blue light enveloped the area. He brought his hands to his eyes, blinded by the viciously bright light. When it finally faded he faced the Le'Minz; the headmaster's voice boomed with his command for silence. So striking was this display, that Alu was not surprised that the commotion had come to a halt. He turned to Sylvir and huffed out a surprised sigh before returning his gaze to Headmaster Le'Minz.

Geoff:

A brief blue glow crept across the walls, followed by the boom of Le'Minz order for silence among the students and instructors. Ah crap...Wouldn't it figure that the very moment I leave he decides to begin. Geoff took a long drag from the cigar, the red-orange line already near the end. It burned down to his lips and extinguished; Geoff let out the smoke in careful rings. He took the butt in hand and flicked it away, turning back to the door.

Geoff grumbled with irritation. Commencement ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, ANY ceremony related to the academy was a pain, just an interruption from either teaching his class or working on his ship. "I suppose I had better rejoin the fun," he said. With a huff and a push, he slid the door open and slunk back into place to the right of Carlisle.

The intense blue glow caught his attention as he was grabbing up a large bag for another student. He paused and focused on it with cold tenacity as if ready to defend himself against the monster, not even realizing it was coming from Le'Minz's crumpled body. His concentration was split as he noticed Serenus' concerned look toward Le'Minz and it reminded him of the rumors of Le'Minz being able to manifest an avatar, but his thoughts were interrupted by the massive creature demanding silence.
He let a smirk slip on his mouth as he gave a look of respect toward Le'Minz, truly such a man demanded respect.

The tremendously large figure looked down at the podium and shook its head slightly. It stepped down off of the stage, standing just in front of the rows of students and faculty. Every eye was turned to the mighty Avatar, and the only sound was a faint whistle from a faculty member.

"Now that I have your...undecided attention," the Avatar's voice boomed, a tremendously rich bass.

"I have a few words to say. First of all, please do not think to be manifesting an Avatar in your first week of school. It is doubtful that any of you have the talent, and if they do, it shall take years for it to show itself. Secondly, please be sure to choose a room and settle in before classes start tomorrow - I assure you, it will make your stay more comfortable. Finally, I would ask that you stay on the grounds of the Academy, and not wander about Prometheus without a faculty member accompanying you. Recent political tensions make such an action unwise."

"I will be joining you at our first dinner together in roughly an hour, in the Great Hall. Attendance is not mandatory, but failure to attend will be problematic."
The Avatar looked behind him at Le'Minz's fallen form. "I beg your pardon - could one of you pick my body up? I look dashed uncomfortable there. And Geoff, not a single one, d'you hear?"

Meyer had nodded to the last thing Serenus had said, then remained quiet as he noticed the sudden burst of overwhelming aura. Gales' once relaxed eyes widen to the sight of the blue rays and lowered his head to the command that was demanded. He knew the aura very well, ever since it's owner used it to save his life; That was no other than Belfair Le'minz.

The truth was Meyer was slightly frighten by the Head master's Avatar, it made him feel inadequate and even weaker than he knew his illness has made him.
He wasn't gifted with the arcane forces or given an aura, just cursed with a illness that was slowly eating away at his lungs. In basic words, he was minimally envious of such gifts.

Some rumors say Meyer tried to duel the avatar when he first made it to Prometheus City, flustered from fending off the thugs that Le'minz took care of. That's why most believe he's strictly loyal to Belfair, out of fear. The few that know of his noble backround from Twilhaven think he's planning on taking it for himself, like his corrupt father, Lucius Gales. That's why he tries his best to avoid stories of his past life in that dreadful place.

Meyer covered his mouth trying to hold back another cough, feeling overwhelmed from the aura. The duelist felt pathetic at times like this, he gets worked up over the slightest doubtful thought that pops into his skull. So Gales stood calmly, hand over his lips and eyes closed waiting to receive more words from the booming voice. Once hearing the request of Le'minz material form on the ground, the ill man took a stride forward, the hand once used to cover his mouth in the air.
"I have you covered." He said, lowering to a knee to lift Belfair's resting body. He placed his arm over his shoulder and stood up, turning towards the hall.

Geoff chuckled and shook his head, a snicker across his lips as he eyed Belfiar's limp body being hoisted up by Meyer. He looked up at the giant, blue incarnation of Belfiar and shrugged. "It's like I keep saying, Bel, if you didn't buy the good stuff I wouldn't have the urge to indulge."

While Belfiar's avatar continued its speech, Geoff slipped his hands into his pockets and turned his eyes to Belfiar's own pockets. He saw one of the cigars poking out, shook his head and sighed. Guess I'm gonna have to wait 'till later. Speaking of dinner...I wonder who's cooking...I might just have to pass if it's just more of that generic pig-slop Bel claims is food.

Sylvir leans over to Alu and snickers, "Do you feel undecided, Alu?" as he huffed a slight laugh.
The mentioning of dinner brought to mind a thick, juicy isbjor steak cooked just enough to cook the outsides but leave the inside bloody and raw with garlic-sauteed ice cap mushrooms. He then realized he was far from home and the hopes of having such a meal is near to nothing. He the awaited a silence after Le'Minz's word to raise his hand high and speak in his loudest voice, the bass echoing in the great hall, "Sir Le'Minz, with respect I would like to offer my services as an escort and guard to any student that wishes to travel Prometheus City in stead of taking the time of a faculty member. I have traveled the streets and darkest alleys of the city and am more than capable of fulfilling this task and ensuring the safety of those I am assigned to protect."

Alu suppressed a chuckle, covering his mouth with one hand after setting his staff in the crook of his arm. "No, I feel very clear," he said as he choked back his laughter.

His laughter faded quickly when he heard the mention of the upcoming dinner. It was one thing he missed greatly about Owankanta. While food was sparse and the meals light, his people had become very adept as cooks. The foods they made were simple, provided much energy, and were delicious. Oasis mudskippers wrapped in lemongrass and cooked over an open flame, wild garlic and onions roasted in coconut milk, Gotra Leaf stuffed with minced Yathri Beast and soft-root palm. Gotra Leaf was his favorite, an Incultian delicacy he'd grown to love as a child, a meal he wished to indulge in once again, though there was little hope of finding it here.

He sighed and took hold of his staff once more, turning to face Sylvir when he offered his services as a guard to those who wished to explore Prometheus. How nice it would be to search the streets of the city, to find the scum of Omega. He wished he could traverse the city freely, wished he could fight Omega know, but knew all too well that he wasn't capable, at least not yet. Even with his skill with the staff, the gift of the machine spirit remained latent within him. He would stand little chance. No, this was his best chance. Luck providing, machine spirit blessing, he would awaken his power here in short time and then his war against Omega could truly begin.

Gale turned to the student he heard from the crowd, taking instant intrest with his noble offer. He smiled weakly, and stepped closer to the student, Le'minz still hoisted by him.
"Quite the honorable gesture." He noted and shook his head softly.
"Although we have no real need of your offer."
"We of the faculty would rather test our abilities to threats, rather than the lot of you that will be training to do so for yourself one day." Meyer politely added, gazing the man's features, and clothing. He quickly took note he was not from the country, but he sensed a fine, chevaliers aura about the lad, that of which he greatly respect.
"Forgive my rude offcoming, My name is Meyer Gales, Professor of Engineering." He took a moment to raise the rapier, still sheathed.
"And as the dueling instructor, I feel it as my responsibility to explain protection at Aura."

Sylvir nodded in acceptance of the instructor's words, "Not to worry, sir. You did not appear rude to me." He then stood at attention in front of Gale and pounded his armored fist to chest to announce "Sylvir Fenrir, sir! Honored knight of the hand of Angellus and guardian of the Isslekt people. I am honored to meet you." He then smirked to add, "I greatly look forward to attending your dueling class, sir."

Hers was green though, large and horned. She had named him Jimpin when she was younger but it has been years since she last called upon him.

Once the speech was done she followed some of the men to Belfair. Geoff was eyeing the cigar like a child at a candy store. Tael, thyr. It was a slow walk and almost everyone was thinking of dinner. Serenus however was thinking more along the lines of how Le’Minz was. Beckoning a avatar to form is draining, the first time she had called for hers she remembers clearly. Upon the arrival of her creature she only saw a glimps of it before she fainted and was asleep for three days. However, it was the proudest day of her life.

“Caedaraes Le’minz…” He was so far gone, but he will awaken soon. He will be fine. Loyally she stood by him and trailed the two men carrying him.

The Avatar descended from the stage, slowly fading away as it went, its thunderous steps becoming fainter. As it finally vanished, Le'Minz stirred, nearly slipping from Gale's support. As the other faculty stared at him, Belfiar grinned. "I thought it might be best to give the students a taste of some of the advanced curriculum, hmm?" he chuckled.

Sniffing the air, he smiled. "I asked my familiar to aid in the food preparation this evening - he spent most of the day today in the library, both reading books and setting the ones he didn't like on fire." Le'Minz eyed Serenus quickly, correcting himself. "I mean, expressing his distaste for them, of course."

Geoff sighed in relief when Belfiar finally woke from his concussive state. Though he never explicitly told anyone, he had a feeling they knew that despite his...forward nature he always respected and admired Belfiar and indeed all the faculty. To him, they were the closest of friends, though he wasn't sure they felt the same about him, excluding Meyer and Belfiar of course. It always concerned him when he conjured the avatar, the drain it took on Belfiar's soul was incredible and he was well trained in the arts. Amazes me every time.

After Bel finally addressed them, Geoff sighed and chuckled. "So basically what you're saying is that I'm gonna be forced through more of that slop you think is food eh? Well, at least you're not the one cooking."

Click to show.“Glad to see you are awake Belfiar” She smiled but kept a steady pace down the hallway. “Not my books I hope.” Her face turned grimace when he spoke of the book be lit on fire. Already the smell of dinner drifted through the Academy. “What is he exactly cooking?” It smelled spicy and sweet.

They had made their way to the banquet hall, some students had already filled in. The long tables were aligned side by side and had benches for seats. “Geoff, some days I hope that poison makes you choke on your tongue.” Smirking she awaited his reaction. Hoping for something good so she could batter with him. The silence was to much.
