(Sexy Water Tribe Warrior for ya love Azula!)

Name: Koapi
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Nation: Water Tribe (North Pole)
Bender or Non-Bender: Non-Bender
Rank: Gifted non-bender
Weapon: Double-ended spear, has two tough round balls in blade to double as a club
Personality: Deeply spiritual, aloof, self-sacrificial
Appearance:
User Image
History: Koapi is the next in line to become Cheif of the Northern Water Tribe, and a distant descendant of Princess Yue through other family members. At birth, he experienced the same illness which made him appear as though born asleep. His family recognized the symptoms from the passed down history of Princess Yue, and in turn asked the Ocean Spirit to save him, as the Moon Spirit had already passed on its blessing before. Koapi was saved as soon as he touched the water, and gained the moon-white hair of a saved soul. Despite his inability to bend, Koapi trained to lead the warriors of his tribe. However, he gained much insight to his future, often forseeing events meant to happen. His tribe, despite understanding his position as the Prince, often worries that he too will be lost to save their culture. Despite this though, Koapi chooses to pursue his destiny head-on, but has tendancies to seperate himself from others to make the pain of his eventual sacrifice less painful for both sides.

(See? HANDSUM. And Water Tribe. So that one's just for you, even though I said I was uncertain about posting more.)

(AND NOW FOR THE TRADITIONAL FICLET)

The softness of grass almost made Koapi trip. Strange for one who walked so casually on ice every day.

The warmth of the Oasis was welcome, if not somewhat stifling underneath the thick artic furs of his coat. But Koapi simply pulled them off and took his place at the small dip of land that let the water of the koi pond splash quietly onto the edge, meditating. When sitting in the quiet of the Oasis, breathing in the thick, warm, air that sang with life, Koapi could feel every ripple of the circling fish, every blade of grass blowing in the cold wind, and the light of the crescent moon glowing upon his face. He had long stopped wondering how something as untouchable as light could have such a feel.

"Koapi,"

He opened one eye to see his mother approach him where he sat, opening his other eye to smile at her. "Mother," he greeted, "Did our delegate from the Great Swamp arrive?"

"No, but she's close by, accompanied by her mother. They're being escorted up here now."

"Perhaps I picked an innopportune moment to meditate then," he sighed, standing up, "Still...do you really think this may be the one we've been looking for?"

His mother shrugged uneasily, "For now Boa is only representing the Swamp Tribe for political purposes. She was born the right time, but if she isn't, then she isn't."

"Its only..." Koapi sighed, rubbing his neck while he pushed back the white collar in anxiousness. "Lady Katara was very concerned when the Avatar eluded us the year he died. It took a long time to seek the birthdates of the Swamp children...you know how they are...they never think about dates. If we find the Avatar there...I'm just not sure how things may run. It concerns me the most."

"Your father will find out soon enough," she soothed. Even in her age, the lines on her face and the white streaks in her hair never made her less lovely to either Koapi or his father, "If she reacts well to the Avatar Relics than we will see."

Then her expression turned mischevious. "I'd think you'd be more concerned keeping all those young ladies at bay."

A dark flush, unrelated to the warmth of the Oasis, crawled up his neck and ears. "Oh honestly. They're not that obsessed I'm sure."

Koapi however had been more than eager to ignore the obvious giggles and sighs that followed him back home.

Name: Quan
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Nation: Air Nomad (Southern Air Temple
Bender or Non-Bender: Bender
Rank: Master
Element: Air
Personality: Peaceful, humorous, cautious, free-spirited
Appearance:
User Image
History: As a descendant of the Avatar, Quan was raised in the same way Aang was, believing in peace and serenity and rejected violence. He fully believes that the revival of the Air Nomads is necessary to put the world back together again, but her often serves as an ambassador for the Northern Air Temple to discuss peace options with the other nations along with delegates from the other temples. However, he suffers one very dangerous symptom, he is in love with Princess Tayu of Ba Sing Se. Despite the deep mutal love he bestows upon her, both of them become distracted by their duties, yet doubly pained by seperation. It is even more pained by the oaths they've both sworn to their nations. However, Quan keeps an upbeat attitude about their future, and seeks creative ways to bend the rules so they can be together. Tayu often likes to tease him for his slight femininity. He wears a gift from her; a long necklace of jade beads, meant to be worn by the royal heir to the Earth Kingdom.

(I've finally done it! Yaay I did all the nations! And now I'm editing Tayu's profile to add this romantic change. ZING!)

Name: Faelin
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Nation: (Northern) Water
Bender or Non-Bender: Bender
Rank: Apprentice
Element: Fire
Personality: She is shy, reclusive, and a total misfit in the Water Tribe. She has had little control over her power (like how Aang had trouble fire bending at first and burned Katara.)
Appearance: She has long dark, brown hair
that she usually wears in pigtails. A light brown color skin that is lighter than the water tribes, but darker than any firebenders. She has big mahogany colored eyes than become more red or brown depending on the weather.
History: She was born between a Northern Water Tribe woman and a Fire bender nomad. The baby was an absolute mistake they made and they left the baby for a stranger to care for. She grew up in a family of water benders. She, of course, was a misfit. She couldn't get ahold of her powers since she had never had a teacher, so she always melted, burned down, or just plain old destroyed buildings, houses, and boats. She stopped bending around others and tried running away from home to the Fire nation, but couldn't.

Was waiting for someone else to post! I'm hoping that I'm not the only continous poster. MAKE MORE AIR NOMADS YOU AVATARDS.

Oh, and here's Quan's ficlet!
_____

The soft fur of the sky bison felt like a silk cloud...and Quan thought momentarily of Tayu.

It was his daily ritual to take the Sky Bison flying for exercise...practiced bare-backed. Ever since the discovery of a small family of them below the Western Air Temple, the new race of Air Nomads made sure to keep their health in check. Hence Quan's duty to fly them regularly, not just for exercise but to reintroduce them to human riders. Only Appa, the grandfather of many of the sky bison and former steed to the Avatar, was excepted, taken care of and well trusted by the monks and nuns.

But Quan let the young bison, barely into adulthood, ride its own course, circling lazily around the towers of the temple. It was still slightly suspicious of human riders, males especially, so Quan laid back onto its shoulders as he draped his legs over the thick neck. It was an easy job, and gave Quan time to day-dream a little.

The green jade of his necklace, standing out against the orange and yellow of his robes, felt cool to the touch as he curled his fingers around it. Without looking he felt the royal symbol engraved on each bead. Tayu was meant to wear it...but she gave it to him. It was the kind of generousity that made Quan sigh in contentment...a greater kind of peace than any form of enlightenment.

Finally the young bison touched down in the small landing space where they'd taken off. Quan slid off to reward him with a trio of apples, each slurped up with a single swipe of his tongue. The same tongue gave Quan a thank-you lick on the face in slight timidity before stomping off to graze.

"Quan," waved on of the elders, "You've recieved a letter. It appears that Princess Tayu needs some advice again."

Quan had learned to control the red heat in his cheeks, taking the scroll handed to him. Indeed Tayu had, keeping her letter completely diplomatic. She was two-thirds through with completing her project on the uniting of Ba Sing Se, but required advice on how to keep peace between the upper and lower class citizens without resorting to the Dai Li. Only the slight scrawl of a nervous hand and the faint scent of hothouse lilies insinuated a deeper, difficult portrayl of affection.

"Thank you Elder," Quan smiled, "Poor Tayu though...she's taken on so much responsiblity even though she's only a year younger than me."

"It is indeed a princess to be proud of," the elder agreed, before turning concerned. "Although all this time reporting to Ba Sing Se may be unhealthy for your spiritual health my son."

"Avatar Aang recieved great wisdom from the Lion Turtle once that proved his own spritual strength," reminded Quan, "The true mind can weather all the lies and illusions without being lost. The true heart can touch the poison of hatred without being harmed. Since beginningless time, darkness thrives in the void, but always yields to purifying light." Quan gave a comforting pat, "I think I'd be capable enough of visiting Ba Sing Se to help for a greater cause."

He never added the fact that one of his causes was for the young princess's own needs, the small desire he dared to let his soul wander across.

(I thought I'd make an anti-hero for once...this one's not quite bad enough to be a villian. Hope the picture isn't too scanty)
Name: Koina
Age: 4517
Gender: Female
Nation: Fire Nation
Bender or Non-Bender: Bender
Rank: Godly Bender
Element: Fire (Lightning)
Personality: Cunning, posessive, confident, ego-tistical
Appearance:
User Image
History: Over 4500 years ago, lightning was an element of fire used by the spirits to punish wicked mortals, controlled by strings of fate. At that time there lived Koina, a very powerful fire-bender, who was also a member of the royal family. However, she was born with an unbearable emptiness, unable to be sated by her ability, status, wealth, beauty, or knowledge. So once the winter solstice arrived, blurring the two worlds together, Koina found a way to enter the Spirit World, and stole the secret of lightning, but not without its danger. Besides having to bear with the immense pain of holding lightning bare-handed, she had to flee from the angry spirits pursuing her, using only a limited amount of fire-bending. There was also the issue of what to do with the secret...she knew she couldn't hold on forever. So she thought quick, and then swallowed it. The effect was instantaneous, filling in the empty space where her heart should have been, and lightning became a free element in the Physical World. Because of its new found freedom and grounding in Koina's body, it became an element that could be learned by other fire-benders, some of which were taught by Koina personally. However, the Fire Sages and Sun Warriors found that lightning was too dangerous to be free, and attempted to steal it back...all met with failure.

The secret of lightning is what keeps Koina as young and powerful as she was the day she swallowed it, but at a cost. If Koina were to lose the secret, not only would she die almost instantaneously, but she would not have a place in the Spirit World to rest, forced to walk the earth as an empty shell. While unable to die as long as lightning is free, she has a slight weakness against some Air Nomads and Earth-benders as they are more capable of defending against lightning.

Koina has a large, visible scar on her right hand from where she carried the lightning, all across her palm and forefingers. The Sun Warriors made a mural depicting the scene of her crime...but she smashed her own face off the mural so that the future generations of Fire Sages and Sun Warriors would have a more difficult time finding her.

She never bore any children, but is a distant ancestor to the royal family and taught a few, including Azula, how to bend lightning.

(And now for the complimentary ficlet for Koina as usual!)

Over four thousand years of observation and concentration taught Koina that the average bolt of lightning was four inches thick and two miles long. She had more time to learn that than any mortal scientist would ever have.

It was so very encouraging to her ego as well when that powerful bolt was able to strike down her opponent in an eighth of that measure, elliciting a howl as he fell with a thump to the ground. Like the ones that had pursued her before, he was a Sun Warrior, too young, inexperienced and foolish to realize just the extent of Koina's power. It had literally been a ten-second fight...and he'd only put in one clumsy shot. She sauntered over to his form, curled up with pain and agony, and yanked him up by the hair.

"I'd say 'nice try' if it weren't so completely pathetic," she said with a wide, predatorial grin. He sneered angrily and spat at the ground.

"You can't win forever," he choked, "You'll lose one day."

But he let out a choked gasp as another thick shot of lightning coursed through his hair, burning it as it ran through his body. If he weren't so useless, Koina might have felt bad for snuffing him out so quickly.

She dropped his lifeless form back down, brushing off the acrid strands of burnt hair from her hands...her right hand still scarred with that familiar streak of pink and tan. She couldn't remember a time when she'd actually met worthwhile students or opponents...save for Azula. She hadn't gained the same power or noteriety as Koina, but she had been extremely amusing to teach, and being able to harm the Avatar didn't hurt either. It was nothing compared to Koina, who had killed an Avatar who attempted to turn over her secret to the Spirit World again, but it was an amusing start from a normally boring realm.

"I am a goddess," she reminded the corpse of the warrior, "It was what I was meant to be, and what I always will be. Mortal children shouldn't attempt to interfere with fate."

Her secret twinged with little pleasant shocks in delight as it rumbled in her chest. She heard the distant claps of thunder, and let herself sit as high as she could to enjoy the storm. She refused to be like the Avatar, immersed among mortals and fools. She would keep herself at the top of the world and be free.

From the village below, a few people watched the lightning stream from atop the mountain, wondering what kind of deity could be there.
