The Park

Zoey grimaced, she was already on the other side of the park. She pulled out a piece of paper, wrote on it, then made it appear at Max's feet. It read:

Jinx's nose twitched as she walked into the park's entrance. It was rather quiet. Her ears itched violently from her beanie. She was rather annoyed with it too. HEr tail also ached from the back of her ankle length coat which kept hitting it. She grumbled under her breath as she walked, her steps soft and quiet. She then looked around and realized no one was around... well that she was aware of. "hmm..." Jinx quietly walked up to a tree and leaned against it. She started to take her beanie off to let her ears free.

Meggie dragged Lysander all the way to the park, then she let go of his arm "Sorry, I like to be spontaneous, and if we waited any longer it wouldn't have been a spontaneous move anymore." she sheepishly grinned at him. Josh had said he went to the Shadow School, but she couldn't figure out what he was. "I want to show you something, it's why I go to the... school. C'mon. Meggie let him walk on his own this time as they walked into the deeper more wooded area of the park.

As they walked and got slightly deeper in Meggie decided they were safe enough for her to tell him what she was. "I'm an elemental witch, I can control water, fire, earth, and air. Watch. She took a couple steps backward and closed her eyes. She thought windy thoughts, and all of a sudden a strong gust of wind blew around where they were standing. Then she thought of the rain, and it started to pour, and she then thought of a fiery heat, and the rain stopped instantaneously and it got atrociously hot. Finally she thought of earth, and flowers started popping up in the area they were standing in. She opened her eyes and jumped up into a sitting position and floated up in the air in front of him. "So what's your race/power thing?"

"EEEE!!" Jinx screamed loudly, which sounded more like a screech. SHe quickly put her hat back on, "Don't scare me like that! I could've had a heart attack!" she clutched her chest. TO be honest, Jinx was surprised someone would talk to her. It was quite warm out and here she was, roaming around wearing a LONG coat and a beanie. "Erm... Just getting some fresh air. OH would you look at the time! I umm.. have to go." Before the girl could say anything, Jinx ran off towards a different part of the park. Ugh! I need to be more careful! She then stopped when she felt a huge heat wave. Instantly she knew someone who could control fire was near by. "Hmm..."

Lysander had followed her quietly, being completely fine with her being spontaneous, it was somewhat nice. He was used to planning things ahead of the time, all of the time. Following her deep into the park, he watched in amazement when she used her powers. When she came floating in front of him, he couldn't help but smile. If only he could do that, it would be so.. Cool. Then suddenly her question clicked in his head. "Oh, well.. I'm uh.." He wasn't actually allowed to tell anyone about it, but she WAS from the school. "You see.. I'm um.." Why was it so hard to tell her, she was different too. "I'm a.. Sea Serpent."

"A sea serpent!" Meggie's eyes got all big and excited. "Wow! That's so cool! But wait, you don't look like a sea serpent. You smell like one though, but then again some guys do just smell, fishy." She hadn't realized it but she was slowly moving closer to him in the air.

"Um well.." He moved himself only slightly backward. "It's this necklace." The necklace was nothing but a black chain with a sea green stone, shaped as a water drop, hanging from it. "It brings out the human in me, but it must not cover the smell." He frowned. "Though I guess it's because I went out this morning into the lake nearby and became my sea serpent self. It was really early when no one even bothers to think about being awake." Pushing the necklace back under his shirt, he sighed. "You're not the first person today to smell me, thank god she didn't realize it was coming from me." He still couldn't believe his dorm room partner was a girl.

Meggie dropped down from the air and onto the ground. "Lets go swimming! Meggie checked her watch "It's almost 8, it'll be dark soon. And it's really hot out!" All she really wanted to see was his serpent form, for she hadn't seen one before.

Swimming? Smiling, he couldn't help it. Just the word swimming made him feel joy. "Alright, sounds good to me. Should we go to the lake, or is there someplace around this park where we can go swimming?" He found himself becoming excited.

"Follow me!" She grabbed his arm and dragged him deep into the woods. With her connection to the elements Meggie could locate an area to swim. After miles of walking they finally reached a body of water. From the way the trees rapped around the outside you could tell no one had been here in years. She used her earth magic and pulled the trees back. It was beautiful. There was a large arbor with roses intertwined within it, although most of them were dead. There were numerous trees for perfect privacy, and blocked out the sun to keep the entire place in the shade. A small gazebo that was covered in thick green moss, and deep purple tulips surrounded a large lake that look deep as well. Meggie slid of her shoes and went running in. She popped up to the surface at screamed out, "C'mon the water's great!" and dove back under.

Seeing the sight of this place, put him in awe. It was amazing, and the perfect place for him to go to transform back into his sea serpent every so often, and no one would see him! "This place is perfect!" Seeing her run off into the water and tell him he should go in, he felt light hearted and happy. Taking off his shirt, he threw it down, though making sure the spot was clean first. Jumping into the water after her, he went under water and began looking for her. He was close to taking his necklace off, but he still felt a little paranoid.. There was always this 'just in case' feeling he had ever since the day he almost got caught out in the sea.

Jinx stared at the two from under a bench. "Hmm a sea serpent? How interesting. And an elemental witch. Wow.. the odd mix the school has." she crawled out from under the bench then yowled loudly as her tail got caught. She hissed and tried to free herself, but she was stuck.

Hearing a yowl, Lysander popped back up from under the water. It was a good thing he didn't take his necklace off, remaining in his human form. Looking at the girl, he immediately knew she was from the same school as them. "Um.. You okay?" As he asked the unknown girl, he also subtlety looked around for Meggie, he knew she was an elemental witch, and there was nothing to worry about, but even so.

Jinx's eyes were all watery as she clawed the bench, "LET... GO!" Her tail suddenly burst into flames, causing the bench to catch on fire in the area where her tail was. In seconds her tail was free and she moved away from the bench, the fire gone. She cradled her tail, "OOOWWW!" a huge mark was on it and she looked around, "Umm.. sorry~" she looked at ther serpent guy who had his head peeking out of the water, "My... tail got stuck..." her face went red.
