Cody heard what she said and nodded, but he wondered about how things would go in the future. He sighed as he looked at her, "Id love to hear you try singing but their is another reason I brought you a cupcake. They are going to begin doing more tests on you, physicals and such, ive even heard them talk about getting a bone marrow sample and thats going to be painful." He said as he gently touched and held her hand, "Their isnt anything I can do to stop them, but I will do my dam best to help you when you arent being tested. I cant stop the pain but ill be here to comfort you and make sure you arent in pain outside of the tests." He warned as he brushed her arm softly, "Im sorry you have to go through all of this, but I make this promise, I will help you, no matter what." He said softly but sincerely to her. |

Cody nodded as he rubbed her arm, knowing it was rough, "I know, but they have already done what they have, all I can do is help make it bearable for you, im sorry. I wish I could do more." He said as he wished her could set her free but he couldnt. He would help her prepare but over the next few weeks, they had more physical tests to check her endurance and such, they got their bone marrow sample which after that surgery, Cody was able to request a longer stay time as he comforted her after. Things were getting bad, but as he was able to get access to her file, he found an image of her when she was taken, it was the last school photo she had as a human, but making two copies, and had been gathering other information and data. He had gotten a secure link set up with an investigator he trusted and later, went to her cell as he brought her food but he handed her the picture of herself, "Found this in your file." He said kindly, "You were cute, I mean, youre still cute now but... If we had met in school back then, im sure things would be different now." He had hoped to distract her with pleasant ideas rather then the pain since he had also read that soon, she may be implimented into a breeding program, which he felt he should save her before then. |

Cody saw that she looked at her photo but as she did, she leaned against him, he laid back and allowed ber to rest against him, blushing softly as he gently rubbed her back as she rested against him.he didnt think much of it til he realized she was technically just covered in fur, but he continued rubbing her back to keep her relaxed. Looking at her human photo, he hoped the encrypted email he sent had given the investigator what they needed. For the next couple of days, things seemed normal but as Cody was tending to Mira's recovering arm, a researcher would come in, "Cody, youre dismissed for a moment, we have to speak with subject 24." one of them stated as Cody stood in front of her, "Why?" He asked as he hadnt seen any researcher interaction scheduled for Mira. |

The researchers looked at her as she backed up, but then looked at Cody, "It appears someone has leaked information on the projects here, specifically dealing with Subject 24 here." they explained as Cody shrugged, "Well I didnt do it, If I had, I would have done it publically with how I have learned what youve done to Mira here. However I know better what you all can do, I wouldnt." He said but one researcher pushed him out of the way, he hit his head. With this, he noticed that Mira paniced and had gone into fight of flight mode, seeing her react worse then when she first saw him enter her cell. He quickly moved in front of her as she bite down on his arm, "Ah! Mira, no, if you attack them, they might do something wors..." he gasped though as he gripped his bitten arm, falling to his knees as he felt pain in his arm. |

Cody's arm had continued burning, the sensation moving through his arm as he felt his fingers feel like he should cut them off, his nails changing to claws. As the burning sensation hit his shoulder, then to his chest, it spread to the rest of his body. He felt numb to the world as his other hand began changing. He was sweating and tore his shirt scrub off, his spine seemed to shift under his skiin as a mound of flesh grew above the waist line of his pants. His ears began to grow pointed as he held his face to the cold floor, groaning in pain as his mouth and nose began to grow outward into a snout. The flesh mound at his back's base turned into a tail and his shoes fell off his feet as they began growing more paw like, his legs shifting under the scrub pants. As the major changes finished, his body began to grow black and red fur. This happened over the course of an hour, where her change had been quicker and smoother, his was rougher and longer having been an alternate and secondary method. When the final changes were done, he went limp as his new muzzle like mouth remained open as his breathed heavily. His body stopped feeling as if it were burning from the inside but now just felt tired and sore, his ears lay against his head. He was still taller and more fit then Mira but he looked like a male version of her with dark fur, rather then white. |

He was still numb, his body was sore as he felt something move around him, but as he would begin to wake up, he suddenly curled up weakly, covering his head, "Its... Its bright, and loud, stop yelling." He spoke, his mouth felt weird, like it was out of place. He didnt realize he had not only a muzzle but new canine like teeth, which he groaned as he felt light headed, "What happened..." he asked feeling like he had gotten hit by a truck but as he tried to open his eyes, he moved over into the darker part of the cell, but seeing through the dark, he saw his arms and hands, even seeing his new snout between his eyes if he crossed them and looked. He began to panic some, "What... how?! They didnt inject me, I... how did I change?" He asked confused, his head still hurt from the whole transformation. |

Cody looked at her a bit, but thought through the fog in his head, it had to be her bite, since he felt pain after she bit him. His ears were down as he brought his hand up, rubbing his new muzzle, his body seemed foreign as he looked down at his legs, his toes felt numb before he realized his feet were much different then before. He was glad to still have fingers, his palm was paw like a bit but his feet were much different. He looked at her, but sighed, "Do I at least look good?" He asked trying to show he wasnt mad, but he thought it over, "I dont know if ill get use to this, but at least you arent alone now." He said simply. |

He looked at her and blushed under his fur abit at the compliment she gave, but as she got closer, he could smell her scent, things seemed different with his sight and his hearing was much different, louder for sure. It would take him a little time to recover, even longer after to get use to walking with his new feet. However what he feared had happened, they didnt have anyone come into the room, knowing they could try biting and infecting others. Cody didnt inform Mira that they were likely to be starved to death but he kept her calm and found they cuddled to share the cot as best they could. Sleeping cuddled up with her, he felt an odd feeling about it in this new form, but as they would be in the cell, it had been 2, maybe 3 days later. The intercom for the door turned on, "Can you hear me in there?" came a voice Cody didnt recognize, "Yes." He answered cautiously and a bit tired from hunger and thirst, "My name is Agent Terry, from the Bureau of Science, the researchers were arrested and we need to confirm you are non-hostile." which Cody got up and went to the intercom, "Oh, you got my message, So the investigator got the evidence to you, my name is Cody. Um, we are under quarantine, as a percaution, Mira's bite can turn others into whatever they turned her into. Thats why Im like her... can you find a way to fix us?" He asked as their was a pause, but they confirmed they would try. They were brought food and eventually they were retrieved from the room and brought to a researchers lab where they injected Mira with a serum that would negate her infectious bite, "Im sorry to inform you Mira, but after 9 years of being like this, we cant find any way to change you back to normal. We believe we have a serum for Cody that can since its been only a few days, but we cant change you back without you developing severe health issues since you grew into the dna." They explained, but hearing this, Cody gently took Mira's hand, "Ill stay like this as well." He said happily, which they were surprised but gave him the same injection and would go to check on other subjects, giving them similiar injections just in cause. |
