Gidget's lips tightened and teeth ground at the mention of that woman's name. She had been so distracted as of late that she had forgotten the priority Gadget had placed on finding out if Liv had any ties to Daedalus.

More concerning to Gidget though was Ako's change in demeanor. "What's wrong? You seem drained, and not just in the way of powers. Did something happen?"

"Nah, It's just like you said; I'm drained. One added benefit of having extra electricity running through me; all those little bio-electric pulses that make muscles move and make the brain..." He searched for the right explanation, and failed.
"...work? They got a little boost. Became faster and stronger. I didn't always have the strength and stamina I do now, you know." He managed a flirtatious grin at that, but didn't hold it for long.

"I know I didn't lose all of my power, but I've lost enough that I feel numb, clumsy, and slow. Physically and mentally."

The mass of wisps and tendrils produced a pair of murderous eyes. They squinted at first, pained by the exposure to light from all directions. It didn't take long for it to identify a potential meal. Oh had it hadn't fed in so long.

Accompanied by the cries of those consumed by the shadow realm, the demon lashed out at Trinity with incomparable speed. But before they seized it's prey they stopped mere inches from her. The eyes considered the cattle for a moment before withdrawing it's appendages and addressing the small thing.

It's voice, to anyone else, sounded like the voice of Hell itself. To Trinity, or any other shadow walker, it was the voice of a woman. Not Freya's voice, but similar.

"Before me stands the descendant of the first shadow walker. You bring memories both fond and foul. I would like very much to feast on your essence. Yet I have been intrigued by your courage to kneel before me and place yourself in an inescapable situation."

"Stand, descendant of Trinity. Stand, and say your piece while I have the mercy to entertain your bravery."

As Trinity saw the look in its eyes she took a low defensive stance with her glaive, lighting it up. As the tendrils came at her she didn't flinch. Years spent with Freya and Teshou had taught her that. She thought it was a little weird that the demon changed its mind about attacking her.

As it spoke the voice reminded her of Freya though as it continued it was clearly not her. A quick glance also aloud her to note that the voice had a different effect on the people around her, screaming and covering their ears. She stood up and turned off her glaive.Okay... so it doesn't want to kill me now... hopefully I can continue to have its mercy. But what to say to such a being...

"Needless to say. A lot has changed since you last walked upon the surface. For one, mankind pretty much has taken over, for the most part and has done so with their inventions and such.

Tell me, did you observe how they've broken your seal or how they've taken over the one called Freya?"

Cassandra immediately looked at Damian." What? No! You're not!" She spoke firmly. She was not going to let Damian wonder off right now. Way too dangerous. But he had Alexavier's power so he could force her to let him go. Then she'd have to go after him to make sure nothing happened. Christian! She had to take him with her because he really was just a child. But Damian could be walking towards danger and that would mean Christian would also be in danger if she followed Damian. Cassandra was been torn apart from the inside.

Damien looked between his mother and "friend." He was perplexed by their fear, but then remembered that they do not possess the same understanding of his powers. With a calm, reassuring smile he said, "Oh, you think I'm going to fight? I sure hope not. If I do this right no one will have to get hurt."

Theonis raised a brow at Trinity's change of behavior. Shameful act? What the? No need to act like that. What's so shameful about it? Whatever.

"Not planning to. I just hope I don't have to fight you for her hand when the times comes." Theo joked casually. Marriage was the last thing on his mind right now but situations like this reminded him that life as a Meta isn't safe. But perhaps that's because he often chooses to jump into danger.

He looked around the room they reappeared in. A bathroom? Teshoumaru's question did intrigue him. "Hmmm I'm not sure. Lemme check." Theo pulled out his phone and checked his email. What he read really did surprise him. "It seems that the new head of Valhalla accused Trinity of treason and made sure she wouldn't be able to enter so easily. Only on controlled spots I suppose. I see that didn't work as well though." He explained while talking to himself at the end."Not sure if they are also on the lookout for me. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they are. I think the new guy is dirty."

Teshoumaru continued to shovel sustenance into his mouth as Theonis spoke. Between a swallow and a bite he asked, "Hmmm, it would appear much has changed in the last week. What can you tell me about this new head of Valhalla?"

Gidget tried to think back to that moment almost thirteen years ago, when she had goaded him into trying her new Tesla cannon. He was drained, but not like this, This was different. It was an unnatural physical drain.

"Is Liv still there, at the training hall?"

"I...uh... well... that's not what bugs me. I ... just wasn't sure if Liv was straight or ... and I wasn't sure... if things would work out... but it looks like uh... things are okay here then. Right?" It was obvious Kerana was very uncomfortable speaking about sexual orientation, this whole situation of interrupting things made matters worse.

Heather gave a sultry smile and chuckle. "Better than I could have hoped, Kay. Don't be so embarrassed. It's nothing to be ashamed of. You've just lived a fairly sheltered life is all. You probably haven't had much experience with..."

A thought then occurred to her. She grinned mischievously and giggled at Kerana. "Did I hurt your feelings by going to Liv first? You know you are so cute when you're flustered. You are welcome to join us if you'd like. Isn't she Liv?"

The beast's terrible laughter echoed throughout the prison. "It has not been so long since I have seen this plane's moon. I was quite pleased to see our cattle spreading so plentifully. It made my short stay all the more frustrating."

"As far as how the seal was broken, I could not care less about how it was done. They were foolish enough to believe that they could collar me like a pet and have me do their bidding."

"I sure hope you aren't planning to."Cassandra replied firm, arms crossed. She really was overprotective.

"Can't say I know much about the guy. Worked with Trinity for a while I suppose. Enough for her to trust him with this position. I haven't been paying a lot of attention to the pecking order in here." Theonis confessed

Christian raised an eyebrow at Cassandra and glanced over at Damien. "Well, I don't care one way or another... if you fight or not... or whatever you do is your business. I'm heading back to my room, I guess. I'm not getting involved one way or another unless I really have to."

Liv watched Heather tease Kerana. She couldn't help but laugh a bit. Poor foxy.

"I wouldn't mind. I'm fine with any gender. I enjoy both worlds." Liv replied with a wink before apologizing in her own way" But maybe you should stop teasing the cutie. Foxy's hasn't...blossomed like we did yet."

For once Ako's answer came quickly. He nodded, saying "She left before I did. I don't know where she went, though."

He could already feel his power slowly coming back to him, as though he are catching his breath. He still felt like he needed to eat, though. Something with a good amount of calories, followed by a nap.

"Foolish indeed. To think they could control a powerful creature as yourself by breaking the seal and expect to be bounded by their command. Do you remember the last time you didn't have to worry about the seal?"

Larry had difficulty keeping up with Deora at first. Not so much because he couldn't increase his pace to keep with her's, but because he still had some trouble controlling his speed. To compensate he stuck with taking long and careful strides.

Larry stayed behind her as they approached the main security office. He had never been here before and didn't quite know what to expect in the way of resistance.

Deora was still fuming when she came to the entrance to the Security front office. The walk had calmed her somewhat, but she was still mad enough to almost slam the door as she yanked it open. "I need to speak with Señor Richards." She said as she strode to reception desk.
