[[And now... it gets confusing.]]
Caprice heard something and looked behind her for a second. Lazoras was following her, and she wished he hadn't. This wasn't his fight. It was hers, dag nabbit. And it had been for years and years. Stopping in a tree in the courtyard, she covered her ears at for the screams felt like they were going to burst her ear drums and she winced. Yep, that was Layla alright, no mistake about it. The twelve year-old she liked to call her younger sister. Uncovering her ears, she took out her bow and notched an arrow. "Let's see how well the bird flies with an arrow in his wing," she said in a dangerous voice. She released the arrow, watching as it zoomed towards Morvik. "PUT HER DOWN, MORVIK!" she shouted, growling as she came out further on the branch.
Layla, felt badly for the girl that was choking, but she was still scared that ginseku was going to try and kill them. And the fire Morvik let out scared her even more. "Sissy!" she screamed again, now wanting away from both of the fliers. She knew better than to trust something that could fly and was not a fairy, but she'd done it anyway, and now she was going to die for it. Tears began falling down her cheek. Seeing someone below shooting an arrow at them, she screamed only more. Why was everyone trying to kill them?
Morvik was beginning to get himself a serious headache. Sensing his bait nearby, he covered the child's mouth to muffle the sound of her ear-shattering screams, ignoring the water that began to cover his palm. Seeing an arrow, he flew to the side about a foot so that it missed them. "Ah, there's my little angel." he said with a smirk. She looked rather angry, and he rather liked it. "Come to say hello to me? I must say, it certainly took you long enough." He laughed a little as his grip on the child loosened a little, the rope sliding her down about half a foot before stopping. He sighed a little as he rolled his eyes. "You should have known that if you took too long, I'd have to resort to this sort of thing. Now, did I hear you say you wanted her down?"

Layla was crying real hard at this point. The man wouldn't really drop her... would he? She didn't know. That's why mama and papa told me to never trust an angel. They're bad people! Her thoughts politely cursed out the race of fliers. This wasn't how she wanted to find Sissy. And who was that girl down there anyway? She felt so completely confused. Feeling that the rope had severed, Layla began screaming again until she was caught, and then she held on tight to the man even though he was an angel, too. She was too terrified to cared who saved her now just so long as she was saved. She was very happy to be on the ground. She held onto his waist, which she wasn't a whole lot higher than. Hearing that he was Caprice's friend, she stopped crying. "Where's Caprice? Where's my Sissy?" she asked him. It had been so long since she'd seen her that she didn't recognize that the woman in the tree was Caprice.
Morvik scowled and flew backwards, letting more of the rope loose as Caprice shot another arrow at him. "Now really, is that any way to treat me? After all these years, I would think you'd start being a little nicer to me." He'd been so distracted by the arrow that he hadn't noticed the other fallen cutting the rope and taking the child back to the ground. At least the little brat couldn't scream in his ears anymore. He scowled as he'd lost his bait. No matter, the girl seemed worked up enough at this point anyway. Slowly he adjusted the way his wings moved and he landed on the ground, keeping where he was. "Bit feisty, aren't we? If it's a fight you want so bad, then come out here and get me. I dare you."
Caprice froze for a moment as he lowered Layla even more. Morvik obviously wasn't playing around with her. Feeling a change in the air, she watched as Lazoras flew past her and set Layla free. She reached out a hand, then sighed in relief as her eyes closed as he'd caught her. It made her very nervous to see her fall. "After what you've done to my family? Get real." she said to Morvik, then hopped down off the branch as Layla nad Lazoras were on the ground, hearing her questions of her. She'd explain to Layla later, for now was too dangerous a time to talk. She slipped her key into one of Layla's hands. "If you wanna hide somewhere, take this key and go to dorm 095, okay Mums?" She kissed the child's head, so very relieved that she was okay. She stood again and turned her heated gaze onto Morvik. She growled as she left teh bow and the last arrow on the ground. "Have it your way, then." she said as she unsheated a blade from her back with narrowed eyes. She twirled it and tossed it into her left hand--and it was well-known that she was a right-handed fighter. She ran over to him, then slowed once she got within five feet of him and did a horizontal slash, waiting for his knowing response. It wasn't the first time they'd fought, after all.

"That's my.... sissy?" she said with a shaky voice. That woman was Caprice? Really? She looked so different from before. But... only Caprice ever, ever called her by the name Mums. It was their secret. Her hand closed around the key tightly as she nodded, but held on to the boy who saved her. She didn't want to leave now. Not after she'd finally found Caprice again. And if this boy was a friend of Sissy's, then she could trust him, she knew. So if that was Caprice and the person she was fighting was Morivk, that meant that Caprice was fighting her father's boss. And... it also meant that... he was that fallen from all those thousands of years ago. And... according to legend... didn't that also make him a relative of hers? Like a really big number great-grandfather of hers? But... Caprice wasn't an angel, so maybe he wasn't. She began to feel very confused by this.
"Okay, so I made your family move a lot. Big deal. I wouldn't think that's so bad." His grin faded into a cold frown as Caprice came at him. Sighing, he unsheathed a sword and blocked her blade with it. "We fight again? You're going to lose again. It's pointless, babe." He sighed and twisted his sword down, then slashed down like he was going from her head towards her shoulder, but then changed direction and went back into her body from her shoulder and in on through. Then he grinned again. "Unless you're talking about my slaughter. That I enjoyed very much. You should have heard their screams."
"You killed her! You killed her and you killed all of them!" she spat angrily. She anticipated her sword being blocked. Seeing what he was doing, a memory flashed in her mind and she ducked down, twisting as she did so and bent back, her leg kicking up at him. She got back up and slashed her blade at him a few times, not really thinking while she fought. Usually, she would, but all reason left her around this specific person. He was a sick, twisted, malicious and untrustworthy peice of flesh that haunted this poor planet without fail. He didn't deserve it, not after nearly wiping out her entire people. He needed to be gone, so he would stop hurting people.

Morivk hadn't expected her to bend down and kick him, and he stumbled back, rubbing his chin. "Very nice. I see you've been training. Well then, this should be fun." He said with a laugh as he moved backwards away from her, barely avoiding it each time and the more he had to move backwards, the closer she got. "Fast too. You know, I'm not going to be able to win against you on the ground," he said with a laugh, and a malicious smirk. He could tell by watching her just how much her skills had improved, and this was when she wasn't able to do her best even. This was her just randomly acting. He wondered why she'd spent so much time honing her skills. He liked how much his killings irritated her. It was a very good thing. The closer she got to those raw emotions, the more she attatched herself to them, the more likely she was to rise. And that was his goal. "So let's see how well the little angel can fight in the air!" he grabbed her hand and flapped his wings, soaring into the air, making this duel very unfair for the opposing party.
Layla looked up at Lazoras when he gripped her hand, then blinked. He was smiling? She wondered why he'd be doing that if sissy was fighting and sissy was his friend. Maybe he knew she would win? Or perhaps he was trying to keep her from freaking out again? She looked at the ground and stood right next to him, her free hand holding onto his pant leg as her gaze then turned back to Caprice. "Eh!?" she said as she watched Morvik take her into the air. Caprice couldn't fly! Layla could, because she was a fairy, but since Caprice wasn't really her sister, they just called each other sisters, Caprice wasn't a fairy. She was human. "S..Sissy!" she called out.
Caprice grinned as she nailed a hit on him. And for the first time ever, too. "Perhaps you hadn't noticed just what kind of school this is. It's a fight school, Morvik,' she explained as she continued to go at him. Her skills had indeed improved much during her time here, and for very good reason. They'd also improved quite a bit two months before coming here, for she was able to actually fight before her arrival. Her eyebrows furrowed as he mentioned not being able to win on the ground. As he grabbed her hand and pulled her in the air, she almost screamed. She knew there was a reason why she'd avoided flying for any given resason before she met Lazoras. It was because of the s**t Morvik liked to pull. She grabbed the hand that had her wrist, dropping her blade on the ground as she tried to pry it from her wrist.

"No!" Layla said as she ran back to him, taking his arm and trying (and failing) to pull him back. "Sissy's fight! Sissy's fight! She never wins!" the fairy-girl grunted as she dug her heels into the ground. "And if you help her she never will!" She thought that maybe that would get the point across. "Sissy.. never won before.." she said again as her grip loosened and she stepped back from him. "I want her to win..." It wasn't fair. It looked to her that Caprice actually had a chance to win this time around. Maybe, just maybe she might. "Sissy's amazing! She don't need no wings to fly mister. She can fly on her own."
"Yes, you are a feisty little thing," he repeated as he watched her try to free herself from his grasp. They were at least thirty feet in the air by now and dropping would do her any good. "Have it your way then," he said with a smirk. He threw her up in the air higher than he was, releasing his grip on her as he held out his sword face the flat side up, waiting for her to fall back down. If she was going to be stubborn, then so was he. And he was going to keep pushing it and pushing it. "Just don't die on me, my little angel. I have plans for you."
Caprice growled. "So what if I am?" Still she tried to keep pulling, then when he threw her up and let go she just about freaked out as she saw how far away the ground was. She took a breath and did a backflip, unsheathing her other blade and swing it towards him as she fell again, landing on top of his sword as it was flat and not otherwise. "You underestimate me Morvik." She smirked at this and then jumped off the sword, and flipped again as she tried to slash at him. His words were really beginning to get on her nerves and she shouted, "And for the last time, I'm not your little angel!"

Morvik watched with narrowing eyes as she landed on his sword. He grinned a little. "So it seems I have. Or perhaps not." He moved his sword just as she jumped from it and struck it at her, only to find it clashed with hers. He laughed as she claimed falsehood to his words and he swet his wings up, pushing her even higher into the air. "Maybe not yet, but you will be. Just watch." He laughed again as he spiraled at her, doing a double horizontal cut in an 'x' as he kept a close eye on what she was doing.
The child sighed in relief as he sat down and did not fight. She didn't like fighting, in fact, she hated it. She really, really hated it. Unfortunately, fighting was one of the very few ways a person could actually get her to talk much as she was usually a very shy person. Layla was a very intelligenet girl and could configure most battle simulations accurately and put them into use for real-life situations such as this. Seeing the way Morvik and Caprice were going at each other, she knew that if Caprice's concentration broke she would fall. This man said he'd help her, that he was her friend so she did worry so much. And there were lots of trees. So long as she could jump off of something she would be fine.
"You have. And I'll prove it." She growled again as their swords clashed, and only narrowed her eyes as she was thrust even higher into the air. She had gotten over it already. It was just like working her job, except no tightropes or trapeze, and she had worked in the Kaliedo Klubbe long enough to know plenty of air-grabbing aerial stunts that she could tie in with fighting. She blocked his first cut with her sword, but his second knocked the weapon out of her hand, and a sharp pain hit her back from nowhere, causing her to wince and miss her opportunity to stay up. She grabbed a gun from that he had on him as she fell and aimed it at him, then shot twice into his wing, actually landing the target. Seeing a tree, she adjusted her trajectory, pulling the same stunt she'd done earlier that day. As she sped down, she grabbed the branch and circled around it with her hands on it a few times before she was flung towards the ground, gun still in hand. She rolled a few times before slowly standing up, laughing it seemed. She had landed rather harshly on her arm though, and was sure that she'd broken it.
Morvik screamed in pain as his wing worked frantically to keep him in the air, but he was descending quickly so he used it to help slow himself down. He hit the ground with a thud and slowly got onto his hands and knees, panting as he looked at the blood. "Wench shot me. She really, really shot me." he said his thoughts aloud. He didn't think she'd actually do there. Never, not once in all their years of knowing each other had she ever tried to get anywhere near his gun, and this time she took it and shot him down with it. He lost this time, but did so proudly. She'd do just fine. Slowly, he sat on his legs from the way he was positioned and began clapping. "Good job. I... underestimated you little angel."
