Trinity would admit she was never clear about what happened to their bodies when the demons were let loose. She thought for certain that Daedalus would keep Freya and the demon separated. Freya? You were here all along...?. She was beginning to feel doubt in her decision. Was this the best route to take? Before she could check on Freya she felt the demon.

Ancestral light? she thought any other connection to her ancestor aside from genetics and power type were just dreams. Dreams of what the original Trinity went through. Whether she was aware of it or not the light was brighter when she was a confident protector it dimmed a bit since she strayed from that path.

She saw Theonis and felt worse. How will they be together now if this thing dwells inside. She felt awful how could she not think about him with such a decision. Filled with doubt and dread she submitted to the demon. The light bounded her she looked to Teshoumaru and Theonis with tears of blood streaking down from her eyes. The demon was going to use her.

The demon's serenity was short lived. As it approached the light it began to dim. "No..."

The mixing of violet and black soon became just black as the demon began to overtake Trinity's body and mind.

"No, do not lose hope. You have to stay on your path. Do not...do...not resist."

The demon's aura grew dark. As dark as it was when it had taken Freya. Trinity's despair fed it's evil nature, and now it was returning to it's old ways. Oily, pitch black smoke began to slither out of Trinity's mouth.

Teshoumaru called out to Liv, "Bathe them in pure light. It will drive the demon back into Trinity without harming her."

The light flickered a little. Chuck Richards rubs his eyes as he continued on working on the next phase of his mission. He saved his work. Then noticed the power was behaving funny. He shut down his computer and used his radio to have a couple of soldiers to check out the power grid. At first he was worried that Trinity would make her way back as soon as the power was out. But then quickly comforted himself with the thought that Liv will take care of that and would no longer be a problem

Then he thought of the next phase of his plan... Gidget. He will have her watch as she realized she chose the wrong person for the job. Gidget's phone rang from an unknown number.

"Hello Gidget,
Chuck Richards here. You and I need to talk, please come to my office." Not a word further he hung up.

Gidget slammed her right fist down into the panel, putting a small dent into it. "I knew it." she growled.

She turned and quickly strode over to her hall of suits. As she looked over which one to use she said to Ako, "I am going to meet with him alone. If he thinks he'll walk all over me he has another thing coming. That thing we saw, on the other hand, has me crazy scared. I think it's an electricity meta, like us. Do you think you can look into it?"

Ako raised an eyebrow at Gidget's show of force, having forgotten that she also gained physical strength from the meteor. He was sure she could take on Richards if she had to, but he still worried. Still, he was likely the better choice to track this thing down. Gidget's clearances had been revoked, but he'd managed to stay below the radar so far. Maybe they wouldn't be looking for him.

"I'd rather back you up, but I'll see what I can do." He said as he stood and put his jacket back on. "Call me the second you need me."

"And hey, don't go doing anything crazy. You be careful."

More lights flickered as that thing drained more power. It wouldn't stop. It needed more.

Liv shined like a star. It was impossible to even look in her direction. If that thing didn't like light then it would hate liv right now.

Theonis managed to grab hold of her hand with one hand while the other tried to shield his eyes from the light.

"Trinity! Hang in there. Come on girl, fight it. You're stronger than this!"

Trinity woke up and found herself surrounded in a field of gold. She tried to get up but was brought down by fist to her face a kick to her stomach. Her body curled up around the points of impact.

"Is that it?
Have you learned nothing the past 15 years?!
You can't be selfish! Never put yourself above others' safety!"

That voice, it sounded like hers but different, unwavering confidence, experience, and wisdom. She got on her feet "Ah, you've come down to tell me what a disappointment I am? Oh hail the great and perfect one and never mind her descendent she's just a wannabe... " She looked toward the one who spoke to her, it was her ancestor.

They faced each other their coats flapping in the wind away from each other.

"You know that's bull!

Especially since you've lived through my memories yourself.
You've very well know there were so many times I didn't want
to go through what I was destined for. There have been many
times I wondered why I was granted this power.
Did you think I asked for all of this?

I thought it would all end with me but apparently, it hasn't.
"

"I wish it did." her ancestor tilted her head and quirked her eyebrow, asking for an explanation. "If it weren't for all of this I'd be living a peaceful life and not running into danger so often. If it weren't for all of this my parents would have been alive. I'm tired of fighting."

Gidget found the one she wanted then turned around to face Ako,. "You know I will." she said with a smile.

"And hey, don't go doing anything crazy. You be careful."

Ako gave her that trademark smirk, the cocky half smile that had been so scarce recently. "Now when have I ever done anything crazy?" He asked as he exited Gidget's lab. Overloading the Tesla cannon, running away when everything went to hell, getting too close to a woman with an unknown power and letting her drain you... an inner voice reminded him as he stepped into the hallway. And those are just the ones GIdget knows about.

Ako thoroughly ignored the voice, closing his eyes for a moment to survey his hidden surroundings. He had almost fully recovered his power while talking with Gidget, and though he still really wanted that cheeseburger, the prospect of something useful to do, something to fight, gave him renewed energy. This was going to be fun.

His power over electricity allowed him, when he focused, to sense the flow of electricity around him. That meant the wires, cables, even circuitry in the walls. This ability was usually not all that useful, as he could only sense the wires themselves, not what was around them, but it did help him get an idea of the layout and location of unseen walls, thanks to the subtle fields put off by said wires and cables. To sum all this up, if he focused, he could track this electrical disturbance throughout Valhalla, to a point. He could only see the pathways it took, not the ones he'd have to follow to get to it. for that, he'd have to break his focus and read a map.

It would be a tedious effort to stop at almost every intersection to check on the being and figure out which way to go, but a chase was a chase. With the speed of someone half his age, despite the boots Ako took off in pursuit of the electrical disturbance.

Larry stood still for a moment as he considered the words of Deora and the strange man with Liv and Theonis. He sighed and turned back around to Deora. "Okay. Could we find my sister first?"

"Of course." Deora nodded as she started down the hallway. "but we'll need to find Kerana next. She's been here the longest, so she'll probably be able to help us find the other two."

It took Deora a few steps before she realized something. She slowed her determined pace and turned to Larry. "You wouldn't happen to know where your sister is, would you?"

Kerana

Kerana started to picture them on a sunny field with trees. Over by one of the trees was a red and white plad blanket with a picnic basket on it. "C'mon Alec let's go!" The foxgirl held the boy's hand and walked toward the picnic. She could feel the warm sun on her skin, it's been so long since she was last out and about and not have to worry about being a meta.

Mitch's blue scaly eyebrow was raised when he found that he missed a call. It looked like it happened during his meeting with Chuck. He was about to call back when the phone rang again.
"Hello?..."
"Heather? Is that you? You sound different, is everything okay?"

Alec looked around at the serene environment surrounding him. Something told him that this was wrong, that the moment was too good to be true.

But he didn't care. Alec followed the girl he was no longer watching from far. She held his hand. They were together now, and that was enough for him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mitch, thank God. I've been busy and I just now saw that alert about Trinity, and now the lights are flickering with weird figures in the dark, and it's really starting to scare me. Do you know what's going on?" She asked rapidly.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 19, 2013 9:36 am
Gidget watched Ako until the door shut behind him. She knew he would be okay, but there was something that still made her worry a little. She shook her head of the doubt and returned to the task at hand. She selected what was less of an armored suit and more of an exoskeleton.
She had gotten the idea for it after watching Power Rangers and clips of Metal Gear Solid's cyborg ninja. A suit that could enhance her speed, agility, and strength as well as provide some close to medium range weapons without weighing herself down or drawing too much attention. Well, aside from the fact that it was pink with black trim.
It took her a little less than five minutes to slip into the suit and go through a functions check. Short blade, check. Stun darts, check. EMF generator that fed from her power, check.
It was still missing something. She went over to a locker that was made to keep Trinity's extra coats and "Ki" vials. She took one of the coats and held it for a moment. She looked at it and hoped that wherever Trinity was that she was alright. Mostly because she was concerned for her friend, but also because she was going to give her friend a piece of her mind later.
Gidget slid her arms through the coat and secured it with the buttons along the front. Her covered hands and boots were still visible, but that wasn't out of the ordinary for her. She then pulled her hair back into a high pony tail. In hindsight she was glad she had taken the time to cut her hair shorter. She loved how long it was, but it sure got in the way while she worked. It also made certain...carnal activities tricky.
She took a deep breath and went over to the express elevator at the end of her lab that went directly to the head of security's office. She had only ever had to use it once before. It was when they had found the facility that held Kerana and most of her classmates. The elevator was only meant to be used for emergencies, but she couldn't wait to tell Trinity.
Just like now, she couldn't wait to have words with Chuck.
The elevator stopped and the door slid open on a wall to the right of Chuck's desk. She took two steps out and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Chuck." She said flatly and with a hint of disdain.
The oozing smoke writhed and seized when it was exposed to the nigh impossibly bright light. The demon retreated into Trinity and hunkered down as deep into her being as it could go. The light had weakened it, and it would need time to recover before trying to take over it's host again.
Teshoumaru shielded his eyes and slowly made his way to Trinity as the black smoke vanished. "That should be enough." he called out to Liv.
Larry stopped as he came to the same realization that Deora had come to. He had no idea where to start looking for his sister. "Ummm. We lost her around the training rooms. She probably didn't get too far...I think."
He gave a frustrated huff. He sometimes wished he could provide more than height and muscle to a situation.
Liv stopped shining as bright as before but stayed in her spectral form. Maybe it was easier to kill that demon by illuminating Trinity's insides. It would hurt her. It was like putting your hand on a flash light and seeing the light through your hand. But she refrained from now. After all, she didn't know what would happen if the demon died while inside her.
The electrical beast found its way to Valhalla's power generator and feasted.
PostPosted: Thu Sep 19, 2013 8:14 pm
Following the general direction of the pull of the beast, Ako knew he would have to go down. That meant either hustling down many flights of stairs, or braving the elevators while chasing a being that seeming to feed on electricity. For most people, the intelligent choice would likely be to slog down the stairs. To a walking generator, the choice was to ride in relative luxury. Elevators it was.
He was using the free movement offered by the elevator to close the distance on the beast while he tracked his progress, once again 'seeing' through the electrical fields around him. So, as he descended, he got a very different view than most people when the beast found the generators and really started going to town. Ako's entire world of wires, cables, etc. seemed to flicker and dim. A sudden surge illuminated above him and the elevator's emergency systems kicked in and locked the brakes. His arm snapped out to clutch the hand rail as inertia took hold, and the metal box screeched to a halt. He opened his eyes to see the small space illuminated by red emergency lighting, and blew out a sigh. He'd gotten close enough to see where he needed to go, but it was still a few floors down. He pop open the roof escape hatch, or wait for help like a normal person, but again, a walking generator had other options.
He closed his eyes again, this time sending out a bit of his own energy in a sort of cloud of static, feeling for the right pathway. He'd never done this, but had worked on the theory while using the elevators during his stay here. He wouldn't be able to get the elevators back to full running condition from his current location, but he could at least get his own car serviceable.
Flipping out his knife, he quickly unscrewed the button panel and let it hang from it's wires, exposing the control box. He then reached a hand in, using his power to find the right right, and grabbed it, feeding juice into it. It wasn't much, but this method was going to fry the wire and possibly the system if he had to use it for too long. He figured it would at least get him a floor or two closer. With a lurch, the elevator car released it's emergency brakes, and slowly made it's way a little lower.
After stopping the elevator when the wire's coating started to melt, Ako opened the doors and made his way down the final two floors using the stairs. Easy peasy. Now he found himself looking down a service hallway, the walls lined with conduits, ducts, and pipes. Straight ahead was a room still bright with power, albeit dimmer than it should be. He also clearly sensed a being whose electrical outline was far, far sharper than any living thing's should be. It was as if he was seeing it in HD, while everyone else's aura made them seem fuzzy, like an old tube TV. While it was clearer, it was at the same time harder to make out it's definite shape. It seemed to constantly change, as though it were actually made out of electricity. He knew that had to be the case, how else could it travel through wires, but he still had a hard time figuring out how such a thing could exist.
Keeping his eyes closed and using only his power, Ako made his way down the hall to the generator room. He had no idea, now that the time had come, how he was going to communicate or otherwise deal with the thing, but he figured he would make it up as he went. He stopped as he entered the generator room, letting the door shut behind him. He cleared his throat and raised his voice just a touch to be heard clearly. "Whatever you are, I have to ask you to move away from the generator." He sounded like a cop, speaking like that, but it seemed necessary.
"You're done fighting..." A moment of silence went by.
"What about the people who supported you?
Looked up to you. Believed in you. They still do.
The majority of them are in the hands of that traitor.
Are you just going to leave them there to fend for themselves?
Are you going to do that Theonis?"
Trinity rushed toward her ancestor dangerously close, "You leave him out of this!" She throws her right hook.
Her ancestor dodged and caught her wrist.
"Then you shouldn't have brought him into this situation.
Even now he still believes in you holding your hand expecting you to fight."
She looked at the fist, and smirked in a pleased manner, she let go of her wrist. "You throw a pretty mean right hook for someone who doesn't want to fight.
You're doing the same thing as Gidget, y'know?"
Trinity turned away and folded her arms. "DON'T even compare my actions with hers."
"Why? Because it's true?
I'm just as disgusted in you giving up as you are
with Gidget 'forgetting' her troubles sorta speak."
She let out a sigh,"Look...
there's two ways one can go about life.
One is you hit it straight on or
Let it wither away and get away from you."
Trinity gave it some thought, she had a point. Perhaps she should go back to make sure the citizens of Valhalla are in better hands. She felt she owed them that much, right? The light became bright and her eyes started to flutter. "Wha-what happened? Did anyone get hurt?" she rubbed her head and looked to Theonis with a smile. As long as her man is alright things couldn't be so bad.
