Finding Peace in The Darkness (Vampire / werewolf)

"Why doesn't he just let me go? He has no use of me." Crystal said, she then went on to answer Evangeline's question. "To be honest, I don't know why Fang stuck with me so long. Perhaps he just had nowhere else to go but I believe at first it was because I had saved his life, but he's repaid that debt thousands of times, so I think he has another reason now, but if he does , I do not what it is."
Crystal continued to be honest with Evangeline, after all she hadn't asked anything too personal. Crystal didn't have a reason to lie to her yet.

Evangeline didn't answer Crystal's question if only because she had no answer to it. Theories, but no real answer. She sat there awhile trying to figure why her childhood friend would stick with this vampire for so long. Then she got an idea, it was preposterous but it seemed more likely than any other she had been coming up with. The problem was she didn't want to believe it.

"Alright, here's the deal. Dr. Evil wants to come in after to interrogate you. My problem is i know he's going to check up on what i did. So, I need you unconscious. Pretending won't work either. So, it's either me knocking you unconscious for who knows how long or Dr. E comes in and takes us both down eventually. So, what's it going to be?" Evangeline sure hoped it would be the easy way.

Crystal looked at Evangeline warily. "I want to know something first, and answer me honestly. If you had the chance to run away from that boss of yours, would you?" crystal asked quietly. She wanted to know whether Evangeline could be trusted or not. She was going to let Evangeline knock her out To avoid any greater trouble. She didn't like it, but she was going to deal with it. She knew that she had no control over what happened to her while she was unconscious, but she also knew that Evangeline was right and there was no point in taking her down with her. "also..do you have any idea why your boss is keeping me? Any guesses or anything?" crystal was desperate for answers.

Evangeline decided to answer the first question last as she replied,"Why is Dr. E keeping you? Hell, your guess is as good as mine. Personally, if I had been him I would've either killed you or drugged you and dropped you over an ocean far away from here." Evangeline took her time answering the question she wanted to avoid the most.

Evangeline took a deep breath as she finally decided she would answer the first question Crystal had posed,"The only reason i haven't by now is because the second I cross the threshold of this house right now, a bomb in my head will explode thus killing me. Dr. E has a remote that will allow me to go do his bidding when he needs it done. He only takes the remote out when I'm in the front room getting ready to leave." Evangeline could easily guess what the vampire was thinking and guessed it as she continued,"Yeah, I know. It's too bad you can't have me as an ally. That's the way things go." She looked down at the watch she had pulled out of her pocket. "You have time for only one more question and then it's lights out time," she said with an edge of slight impatience.

"I wanted to know if there is any way I can help you.." Crystal said softly. She didn't particularly care for Evangeline, but she still felt like she needed to help her. "What if somebody took that remote from him? Do you think maybe I would be able to gain his trust, so that I can help you? " Crystal asked. She knew her plan was unlikely to work, but she tried to remain hopeful. "I don't think I could leave you here if I were to manage to find a way to escape."

Evangeline let a sad smile show on her face as she nodded her head. "I know little enough about the man and personally i'd rather not learn anything else," Eva had said with slightly remorseful tone in her voice. Eva then checked her watch once more as she stood up and walked over to Crystal,"Alright it's lights out time." Evangeline then put up the pocket watch she had gotten out into her back pocket. "That and even I haven't been able to find it in the twenty odd years I've been here I haven't found out where the remote is," Evangeline finished as she kneed Crystal in the gut and then smashed the back of her head hard enough to knock her unconscious. Then she set everything back up and made it look like they had fought. (try rping a dream Crystal has as she lies there unconscious)

Crystal allowed herself to drift into unconsciousness. In her dream she saw Fang alive and well. She ran into his arms, glad to see that he was okay. She was vaguely aware that she was only dreaming, and that she may be in danger, but she didn't want to wake up. She wouldn't mind staying in this dream forever, but knew that she would have to wake up eventually. As she was thinking about how much she wanted to stay, her dream turned into a nightmare. It was no longer Fang's arms that held her, instead it was an evil man full of menace. She could not see his face, but she knew that he wanted to kill her.

Dr. Evil had watched the visuals go blank and knew then that something had gone wrong, but when they came back on, it showed the vampire with a bruise on her temple just as Evangeline came out of the room. "Why did you knock her out?" Dr. E asked in a menacing tone. Evangeline stared into his eyes and replied after a few seconds,"She got to be a handful and you saw. She got violent enough to knock out the other cameras. I had to get rough."

Crystal knew that she had to wake up soon, but her body just wasn't listening to her. She stirred in her sleep, but she did not wake. She was vaguely aware that there was something that she needed to do. Her mind turned to Fang, and that was what woke her up. Fang was probably in trouble! Crystal was sort of in limbo now, half awake and half asleep. The pain in her head was slowly starting to come back. She groaned.

Dr. E hopped up and down in his anger. "Throwing a temper tantrum is not going to wake that girl up. You might as well go right ahead and wait 'til tomorrow. Besides, it's almost five in the morning anyway," Evangeline said without betraying anything in her tone of voice. The doctor began to yawn and nodded in agreement. Then he said,"Alright then, off to your chair slave." The evil doctor never tired of reminding the girl that was under his control that she was his for all time.

A few hours later (Might as well speed things up lol) Crystal opened her eyes. She sat up and leaned against the wall, feeling the goose egg on her head. She felt slightly dizzy when she first sat up, but the dizziness went away after a few seconds. She looked around, hoping for an escape route that she knew didn't exist. "Can't believe I'm stuck here like a caged animal.." She muttered.

Now that the maniacal, evil genius had gone to sleep Eva could visit the vampire and find out more about why her childhood friend would still be with anything connected to why they had become what they were. She stole food and a bag of donated blood from the doc's fridge so that she could feed the vampire and herself. She entered into the room and held out the bag of blood.

Crystal took the bag gratefully. "Thanks.." She said quietly. "You could get in a lot of trouble if you get caught sneaking around like this."

Eva shrugged her shoulders as she responded,"If I do, oh well. Of the things that have gone on here, I don't think there's much else he can do." She then began chowing down on her sub sandwich filled with tomatoes, onions, pepperoni, ham, and roast beef. Midway through her sandwich she swallowed and asked,"What are your feelings for Fang?"

Crystal opened her bag and took a drink of the blood before answering. "It's..complicated." Crystal said. "Why do you ask?"
