More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget shakes her head. "The problem with the biomass is that it can change it's biological characteristics to avoid detection given some time. It took me almost five years to find Shane. I was only able to do it because I could detect his abduction pattern.

As far as how many targets it can absorb, the number is endless. However it can only hold two physical forms to change between. That means that right now we are looking at North, and possibly another person."

She puts her thumb and forefinger to the bridge of her nose to quell a headache that doesn't exist. "This is my fault. I'll stay with..."

A alert goes off in her head. Three new meta-human signatures at the site of a multi-vehicle collision. She mutters under her breath, wondering what it was that made her think creating a global surveillance system was a good idea. She looks to Trinity and pleads, "I am so sorry, but there is an emergency topside. I'm going to trust you to handle things here. If it comes down to it I may not be able to face Shane. I know you can. But please, if at all possible, don't kill him."

"Well so much for scanning and trying to detect it. At least we know one of its identities but it won't slim down the suspects of what the other one though... Perhaps I should start by where it was last detected. Ask if anyone had seen North." Trinity knew the signs when something was up when Gidget experienced the alarm, she would have a dazed look for a moment.

"Right. I'll do my best." with that she goes to Kodak. "I don't want to raise an alarm yet but have an image ready for when we do. In fact it may be best to send his picture and a message to the captain. I'm heading over there, over where it was last detected."

Music thundered from the speakers, percussion blasted from exhaust pipes. Two vehicles roared down the empty two-lane highway side-by-side. The look on the face of the convertible's driver was one of twisted pleasure. He turned the wheel again, another attempt to run the motorcycle off the road. Ako swerved, pouring on the gas to get ahead of the assaulting Mustang. Tires squealed as the car straightened out, now inches behind the motorcycle's rear wheel. Ako could still hear past the howling wind to catch the blasting music, the roar of the V8 engine beneath the hood behind him.

He'd done nothing to provoke this attack, this was just some teenage punk thinking it would be fun to mess with an old man on a bike. Ako wasn't looking for a fight, but was quickly getting tired of dodging attacks. He noticed the car start falling back. So they were going to try ramming again. The car twisted with the torque of the engine as it lunged forward, and sped by harmlessly as Ako's supernatural reflexes let him get out of the way in time. Now the car's driver slammed the brakes and cut the wheel, trying to block the road so Ako would hit him. Gravels and dust flew in the air as Ako took the bike onto the shoulder, and again the squealing of tires as the Mustang caught up. Again Ako swerves and now the car is next to him.

The driver screamed laughter as they drove beside each other at speeds well above the highway's limit. "Come on, old man! Fight back a little!" The spiky-haired boy in the Mustang yelled, not expecting that his target actually could. While Ako was originally going to simply try to avoid the car until the driver got bored, he'd finally taken the last straw. He wasn't usually quick to anger, but when he was finally set off, few things compared to his rage.

While any sane person with his power would simply aim to shut down the engine, Ako wasn't what would normally count as sane. He locked up the brakes on the bike, letting the Mustang shoot forward. The teenage punk probably thought he'd just given up. Imagine his surprise when the Harley's headlight lead the way through the cloud of tire smoke, followed by a screaming V-twin and a very angry lightning wielder. The mustang's taillights lit up as the driver hit the brakes, but Ako didn't give him the chance to slow down. He held out his right arm and released a bolt of electricity straight to the muscle car's gas tank.

The tank exploded, lifting the rear of the car in the air. The Mustang's front bumper scraped along the pavement until it found purchase. Ako could barely hear the driver scream as the car flipped upside down. With no roll-cage or roof to protect him, his fate was sealed. Ako sped past as the car slammed down, not bothering to look back as it skidded to a halt. The music had stopped, and the V8 roared no more. Ako dropped his hand to his side, letting the wind put out the embers on the end of his sleeve. When his had cooled he brought it back up to the handlebar and twisted, relishing the sounds around him as he sped off.

Deora could guess from the way Justine winced occasionally that it would be a good idea to hurry. Fortunately the food line was almost empty, and they were able to get to the counter quickly.

((I sincerely apologize for the cruddy post, but I really have no idea how the food line thing should be run, like whether it's cafeteria style or restaurant style.))

"Sounds fair" he replied as he turned to face the incoming people. He talked little as he distributed the food. He didn't care about them.Sure he wanted to kids to be fed but he didn't care about what happened to the rest. Apathy again huh?Seriously this comes up at the most random times ever. Ever since I got my powers I become like this sometimes. Don't really care about it though.Yep...Apathy. He was thinking to himself.

As he handed out a can of food to a small girl she thanked him.
"Thank you mister!" She said with a bright smile. Now that did warm up his heart. He smiled back at her.
"You're welcome kid"

Following along, the woman said nothing. Her mind still else where as But at the same time, it didn't matter what she was doing or how much pain she was in, there was always that small bit of excitement underneath. Every time her eyes burned, or itched, she remember that tomorrow was a new day, and one that she was looking forwards too.

It took nearly half and hour to pass out all the food that Theonis had brought. As always, the line went smoothly, and there was little complaint over what was handed to whom. As the groups began to get small and wander away, Angel turned back to the man who had helped her. "Thank you. For all this. You didn't have to, but you've helped so many people. This is a great deed you have done for the people here."

"Don't even know why I did it but you're welcome. Sorry but I seem to apathetic right now. Think it's a side-effect from getting my powers. Happens at random times so if there are times where I just don't care about anything...that's most likely the reason. There was this warm fuzzy feeling when I helped that little girl though" Theonis confessed.

Angel laughed softly. "You are strange." She cocked her head to the side as she looked around them for a moment. I think it's more a defense mechanism, then having to do with your powers, but I can't know for sure. Speaking of which..." She sighed softly., "You said you wanted to try using them in a battle situation. Do you still want to do that?"

Gidget nods to Trinity and thanks Kodak for his help. She turns and jogs to her portion of R&D. A hand gesture over part of the wall and it opens to reveal several different suits of mecha-armor. She approaches the first, and original, suit. This is the one that held her soul when her body died. It's also the best suit for all around purposes.

She places her hands on the suit's chest and closes her eyes. She feels a sensation like floating in free fall, and then a HUD appears in front of her. The display shows her that diagnostics of the suit are all green. She shifts around a little bit. After all these years she still feels weird not having eyelids while in the suit. Granted she couldn't feel having them regardless, but the occasional flash of darkness helps her feel a little bit human.

She steps off of the podium and places her other body where she was just standing. She regards it's face solemnly. How peaceful it looks when it's eyes are closed. It is completely indistinguishable from an actual human.

Her moment of reflection done, she turns to the launch pad she had installed on the far end of the hidden compartment. A moment later she is shot up through the tube at speeds exceeding seven G's. At it's apex she ignites her boots and takes off toward the scene of the accident. She prays that she will arrive before anyone else does. The last thing she wants to do is have to fight anyone from the Daedalus project.

She fly's to the scene of the massive MVC scene. Her sensors spot the three girls standing at the outset of the disaster. She makes a soft landing a few dozen feet in front of the sisters, kicking up a considerable amount of dust and debris in her wake. She stands and looks the three girls over before speaking, "Are you three alright? Did you see what happened here?"

"Yeah I am a bit strange. People told me that before. I talk old-fashioned sometimes and talk to myself at times! Ahh well."He shrugged

"I really don't want to fight you but I need to know what I can do. But I suppose I can do that on my own. We could however do some small tests unless there is anything else you'd want to do."

"It's your powers that you want to know more about. We can do whatever you are comfortable with." She nodded to him. "I'm not a teacher... Although I know of people who could help you if that is what you are looking for...."

"I think just you would be fine." He replied."Well then....um..if you would. Could you place your hands on my chest and try to push me away? I know I can cancel out the effects of gravity but I don't know if I can cancel the pressure that someone else produces. So I'd like to know if I can. If I can then perhaps I could develop some kind of field even. Yes that would be...-but then...hmm" Theonis said while mumbling the last parts to himself.

Angel nodded somewhat as she walked up to him slowly. Placing her hands squarely on his chest as she smiled at him. "I might look like an angel, but I'm not as fragile as you might think." She pushed him, not to hard, but in no means was it gentle either. All the while, a small smile graced her lips.

Jeze paused when she saw the strange figure approach them. Her held her hands out to either side to stop her sisters, ten dropped them once more to hang loosely beside her. The younger two stepped forwards, making a straight line across the sidewalk.

When the woman spoke to them, Liadan smiled brightly. "Of course we saw what happened!" She giggled, but hushed when Jeze shot her a glare.

With a frown firmly in place, Jezebel turned to the new comer. "We are unharmed. As for the others..." She paused for a moment as she glanced over her shoulder and the pile of burning automobiles. "I guess they just got... unlucky." Her voice was smooth as ice, her expression somewhat smug. Another soft giggle escaped from Lia's lips. Sharply, Jeze rose her hand and once again, the youngest went silent. Slowly dropped her hand, Jezebel cocked a single brow as she looked at he strange woman.

"As far as what happened, all the lights turned green!" Liadan spoke up once again. Her eyes bright as she looked over the suit that stood before them. "How do you move in that thing? Is it heavy? I heard that knights back in the olden day were REALLY strong, cause their armor was-"

"LIADAN!" Jezebel snapped. Her eyes narrowing on the girl once more. Liadan pouted and turned to her sister, but when the two locked eyes, Liadan's went blank. The young woman stood there for a moment, before Jezebel blinked, and then, so too, did Liadan.

Smiling brightly, she looked to the suit once more and wrinkled her nose. "When did she get here?" Liadan asked softly under her breath as she looked Gigdet up and down.

A crude smile made its way to Jeze's lips. "Just now dear sister. Just now." She looked to Gigdet once more. "Can we help you with something miss? My sisters and I have an engagement we simply can't be late to."

Theonis lost balance and was forced to take a step backwards to prevent himself from falling over.
"Yeah I noticed. That was stronger than I anticipated.Okay if you could do that again with the same strength."
