The electrical creature felt something but did not respond. It was simply incapable of doing so. It did not have a mind of it's own. It simply lived on instinct however bizarre it seemed.

It followed the grid until he stumbled upon something else. It felt a different source of power. Not like his origin from before. It felt something encased within it. Dropping out of the lights it reassembled itself before Gidget. His new meal. It stared at her for the moment as occasionally a humanoid form flickered along with a fragment. It released an almost deafening buzz.

Liv moved through the world of shadows. It really was a strange sensation. It was nothing like her own light traveling. When she did that she could just ride the waves of light and steer it towards where she wanted to go or switch between those waves even if there was no light between it. But....did it always feel so wrong? Shadow traveling? It wasn't because she had stolen this power. No, she felt as if something was watching her. She was sure something was watching her! When she looked up towards the white spots she saw something move! Something white was slithering over the black spaces! Liv was getting scared. This world was something she knew nothing about. Nobody told her something like that was in here! Instead of going to her original destination she picked something a lot closer. Liv and Trinity emerged from the shadow of a boulder in the wasteland. It was small due to the golden hour but she managed to squeeze them through. Almost in panic she crawled out of the shadow and into the light.

"What the hell was that thing...."

She grumbled, "Grrr, when I get my hands on Chuck I'm going to-" She stopped in mid sentence when her built in messaging system pinged. With only her power, she commanded the suits holographic display to fold out from a small plated on the middle of her collarbone. A name and location was displayed with the word "incoming" blinking.

Definitely an important call. She turned toward Catherine and asked, "I need to take this. Could you open the door, please?"

The "incoming" message was replaced with a signal strength indicator and oscilloscope display. "Ako, thank God you're alright. You're not gonna believe where I am."

Ako didn't feel that they had time for guessing games. The curtness he'd adopted during his years alone was returning now that he had a purpose. He could already feel that thing running through Valhalla's systems again. It was gaining strength quickly. "Gidge, that electrical meta? I'm not so sure it's a meta, but it is definitely dangerous. I gave it hell, but it just absorbed it and gave it right back. Sprinklers seemed to have an effect though. Where can I find a water meta or two?"

He paused to let her answer, and three things happened all at once. He came across that creepy kid that knew way too much for his age, he felt the Being leave Valhalla's electrical system, and he thought he heard some interference over the phone line to Gidget. "Gidge?"

Theonis's thoughts raced. They came here to get both of her teachers back and now they were forced to leave worse off than they had come. Trinity wouldn't forgive herself if anything happened to them in this state.

"Goddamnit Trinity." He cursed. But gave her to Liv.

"Keep her safe!" Theo told Liv as the light prison vanished. The machine that supported it crushed due to giant spike of pressure.

Liv merely nodded and sank through her shadow with Trinity. It was a good thing meta powers seemed to have a memory. She always knew how to use it after draining them.

With the force of an sledgehammer his slammed his power against Freya to knock her off Teshoumaru. Another blast focused on her head. Mainly on her jaw and temple. Not of the same force. He didn't want to kill her. But the blow should provide enough force to knock her out. If that wouldn't work he had to be more aggressive and slam her against the wall with a lot more force.

"Trin would never forgive herself if she loses you both. We either leave her or drag her with us. I can restrain her.

Freya's head whipped violently with the impacts of Theonis' power. A thankful smirk graced her features just before she lost consciousness and tumbled beside her brother.

Teshoumaru growled through bared teeth and reached out to Freya and Theonis. With what little strength he could muster he expanded his shadow to the three of them and drew them into the shadow realm just as an armed squad of Daedalus troops stormed the prison.

Lacking enough strength to get them very far, Teshoumaru ejected them through the shadow of a building on the outskirts of the city. He felt this would be far enough to keep Freya out of the beast master's influence.

He reached out to Theonis and tugged at the young man's pant leg. "I cannot take us any further. We should be far enough away that Freya can help you once she regains consciousness. I must isolate myself to the shadow realm for a while. The dark energies will heal my wounds, so you can tell Trinity that I am alright."

He coughed and grimaced. The sudden motion jostled the knife in his shoulder and shot bolts of pain through his body.

"Theonis...they were waiting. They could have stormed us at any time, but they waited until Trinity was powerless."

His eyes became heavy. The loss of blood and immense fatigue was catching up to him. The corners of his mouth pulled into a small smile. "Be there for her. Her most difficult trial has yet to come."

With that he let go of Theonis and sank into his own shadow.

Gidget froze in place. She could feel the being's immense power without the use of her own. There was something that brought back incredibly unpleasant memories.

Her chest and right arm began to ache fiercely. She could feel the individual augmentations that had been put into place to bring her back to life. Her mind screamed at her to move, but her body wasn't playing ball. All she could think of was laying on her back, looking up at the thing that was about to snuff out her life.

Tears rolled down her cheeks. Her voice was small and pathetic, echoing the last words she said before she died thirteen years ago.

"Someone...help me."

Damien frowned. The presence either blocked him out, or lacked a mind that could be probed. How very troublesome.

Then he felt a shift in the mood of the presence. It was voracious. The boy turned his attention to the adult standing at the end of the corridor. "It has found it's prey."

Theo didn't expect him to use shadow traveling for the three of them. He though he'd have been too tired for that. That's also why he stayed. Theo could have taken down those guards and find a way out. But it didn't matter anymore. Right now they were outside. Safe and sound.

"Always" He simply responded at her teachers request. But what he said before that bothered him. Did that mean that they wanted Trinity and that they were lured there? An uncomfortable thought.

He looked over to his furry new companion." Looks like it's just us now. Time to take you to Valhalla. Trinity should be there as well." Freya would be out cold so he was mostly taking to himself. He wasn't sure on how docile she would be after waking up but that was a risk he had to take for now. Scooping her up in his arms he flew up to get a better view of their location and then shot off towards Valhalla.

The electrical being almost hoovered over her. The pitches of buzz changed to something higher. It's tendrils attached itself to the suit and slowly began to drain the power from it. However this connection went both ways. Strange fluxes of data were scrambled over the suits display. Right now, despite draining the suit, the being was also an external power source for it.

After a while Liv was calmed down but a small sense of fear for shadows has crept in. What she saw in there had really spooked her. After taking a few breathes she grabbed hold of Trinity's wrist. Now she would travel the way SHE was used to. Something much....much safer. Both of them became enveloped by light and just vanished. She rode the waves of light back home. Home being her apartment in Valhalla. She dropped Trinity off on her bed. One of the many beds that were there before materializing herself. Liv just stood there underneath the dome of her apartment. Bathing in the light almost desperately. Light was safe....light was good.

Freya stirred as the wind blew through her hair. It didn't take long for the accompanying cold to rouse her. She blinked a few times uneasily, trying to get herself oriented.

When she realized that she was off the ground and going incredibly fast, she went into her panic mode. Thankfully that only entailed her wiggling into a way for her to fold herself around her ride.

She shook her head rapidly and rattled, "Nope nope nope nope!"

"Gidget? GIDGET!" His heart felt as though it were tearing itself apart from her words and the rapid beat of his fear. Standing in that basement hallway, holding a piece of plastic to his ear to listen as his love took what may be her last breath, the man who could make and control one of the greatest natural forces felt suddenly powerless. He couldn't help her from where he was. It was thirteen years ago, all over. He couldn't go through that again. He couldn't lose her again. He wouldn't have the strength to run from the pain, it would consume him.

What brought his attention away from the phone, he would never know, but somehow, the words of the child standing down the hall cut through his fear to snare his attention. "It has found it's prey." Yeah, this kid was Stephen King creepy, but he seemed to know what was going on.

"Can you help me find her?" Ako found himself asking the boy, every rapid beat of his heart reminding him that Gidget's didn't have many left.

"Calm down, no wait-don't" Theonis gave up with a sigh after she had firmly attached herself to him. Whatever made her feel safer. He slowed down to an almost stop in mid-air

"I know I'm handsome and all but let's take it slow. Also I'm dating Trinity" Theonis said in his usual joking manner. With a quick looked around he found himself in the abandoned area where he was supposed to live after Tansy found him. They made their decent towards the roof of a building.

"I figured you'd prefer the solid ground and shadows. Try not to move too much. I'm not sure if I gave you a concussion or not." He said as he landed on the roof." Teshou is currently healing himself in the shadow realm. Just FYI."

She pulled herself toward the fading Trinity and embraced the ancestral ghost. It used the last of it's strength to encase them in a thin shell made from her own shadow. If the daughter of shadows could not save the presence of the first Trinity, then she would have to do all she could to preserve the will of the first Trinity.

She closed her eyes, allowing the sleep to wash over her. She would stay this way, cradling the last of Trinity's will like a sick child.

The shell blocked Trinity from sensing her ancestor and the demon. Not being connected felt like she lost a huge part of her. She woke up gasping for air and feeling she was missing a huge part of herself. Rubbing the back of her neck and steadying her breathing, she wondered. I can't feel her... Or the demon... does this mean I'm free?... Or something far worse... I knew my connection to her strengthened when I discovered I can manipulate shadows and not just look different...I didn't think it was directly connected somehow... Oh god what have I done... She got out of her trench cloak revealing her toned arms after years of training. She placed her crossed fore arms on her knees a and her forehead on her arms."I failed her, I failed Valhalla... I'm useless."

She already was missing her power, out of sheer habit she tried to will her black coat to be sucked down its shadow but no luck. It confirmed that she no longer had the power she learned to love and trained with for 15 years. No longer could she visit the Shadow Realm or teleport through it. No longer could she use the dark to her advantage. The fears start to resurface from the time she was taken by Leviathan the helplessness.

"Ahhh, you're awake sweetie. How're ya feeling?" Liv said as she turned around to face Trinity while still standing in the light. Reluctantly she walked towards and sat in next to her on the bed with an arm around her.

"I'm sorry Trin but that was the only way we thought off that could have saved you. You're braver than I thought going through that place with that monster in there."

Trinity looked toward Liv obviously not knowing what she was talking about. "Place? Were you talking about the Shadow Realm? I never ran into any monster....You can use my power after it has been absorbed? How do you know how to use it so quickly?"

Catherine was going to respond how? Especially Gidget's power didn't work, she didn't think she saw her get the key. She shrugged and head to the door to "attempt" but instead she had to cover her ears because of the sudden loud buzz. Chuck made two things very clear she needed to earn her trust and not get killed. What better way to kill two birds with one stone by trying to save her life. She try to draw the electric being away by using her pheromones to surround it but it was odd it didn't have a effect what? Is this not human? No living?.

A guard was walking by with a cup of water. "Hang on Gidget!" She used her key to open and she merely used her power to take his water and used her power to ask for the rest of the bottle from the water cooler. "Get away from her!" She threw the cup of water emptying it's contents toward the electric beast.

"Well when I went there I saw something. Something white slithering over the black spaces. And when it went over the white spaces it turned black instantly. That's why I didn't continue traveling that way and instead used Light Travel." Liv explained. " Oh yeah that. Powers seem to have a certain memory. I take it along with the actual power. So I can pretty much do what you could do. Maybe more since I have a different angle of approach. But I don't think I'll be using it any time soon. I'll ever shadow travel that's for sure."

The water went through the creature causing it to buzz in a very high almost screeching frequency. It didn't have as much effect as the sprinkler did. This was just a small splash of water. It instantly shot out various bolts of lightning towards it's attacker.

Trinity's eyes narrowed in thought as she was trying to figure out what it could possibly be. At first she thought it could be the light one could see coming from the shadows. But to have something go from white to black based on contrast? On the surface it would be something dark that shifted into light when surrounded by darkness. A meta perhaps? Or something else in the Shadow Realm instead of something on the surface? Perhaps Teshomaru might have some insight on this. As Liv continued explaining how she was able to use her power so quickly. That explains that, which may rule out her previous thought of the creature described considering she now her knowledge of shadow sliding and so forth. She frowned as she said she never wants to use her power. Does she not know about the vast inventory she now have access to her? Does she not know how easy it is to spy on people? Or manipulate shadows to your will?

"I really wouldn't cross that out conpletly you really don't know what you're missing out on. I have a hard time trying to find instances where m-my power wasn't useful." She stumbled on the word my. Could she really call it her power any more considering?

Catherine manage to dodge the bolts but barely. Her last move landed her on the floor outside the cell. Finally the giant bottle from the water cooler came and was placed next to her head. Catherine smiled and instructed the guard under her influence to find the closest water meta an bring them here. He knew that none of the guards on duty were water metas. He kept repeating "I need a water meta"

Catherine was going to pick up the full giant bottle and douse out that electric creature and save Gidget's life and secured her trust in one fell swoop... unfortunately that wasn't what happened. Instead of picking up the bottle it wouldn't budge. Instead it got knocked over and the water spills losing momentom when the water was about to reach the creature. "This would be a good day to be a water meta.... sweatdrop ". She sighed and with a sheepish grin thinking she probably pissed off the creature even more she waved "I'll be back Gidget I'll get help!" She called out "HELP WE NEED A WATER META QUICK!" She ran off taking her heals off in the process.

"I said I wouldn't use it for traveling anymore. First and last time I did that girl. I know how to use it like you did. But if I combine it with my Light Goddess, it's what I call it, I can create shadows. Just use the right angle and brightness of light and tadaaa." Liv replied." I just rather not use it. I mean maybe that thing decides to pop out through those shadows. Don't want to take that chance."
