I got mine when I hit fourteen, actually as a punishment. sweatdrop I didn't have a job or anything, but I didn't really live at home, either. It's a long story.

Mumsie dearest stole my nearly-dry jacket off the drying rack once, because she didn't like my perfume, and re-washed it. My cellphone was in the pocket. Naturally, it died. I ran around for two straight years with an ancient Nokia brick Chris bought for emergencies. xp I only just got a new one, and now I can't figure out how to work it... gonk

I'm sorry, Tak. gonk That seems unfair on a hundred different levels. I wish I could help.

@Kirby: Our chickens are alright - we got a pretty laid back breed this time - our last batch were MEAN.

And then there's the time I jumped into the pen when I was like...10 to get a ball, and they started stalking me. It was like Jurassic Park 'cept with feathers.

I want chickies! And a dog, maybe a few horses, and a Guinea pig! But all I have are some hermit crabs and a grumpy cat...

I do believe my cat would try and stalk the chickens and therefore become extremely stressed if they were to turn on her and chase her back.., and out of the love for my cat, I have declined the offers for living poultry in my house/yardish place.

No worries on being denied my trip, Voxxx. My mom has taken sympathy since I cannot do much besides get ready for college now that my boss said I can't work with my hand. She is now buying me many many books in which to occupy my time. Therefore, I am content. I can go to Italy some other time.

I believe she iss trying to subtle convince me to stay home. Once I leave, after all, she will be alone for the first time ever seeing as Alec will be in Maryland, Oldest sister in Kentucky, and second oldest in Naples.

So she is enticing me with books, seeing as I will be to poor to afford them for a while after I move.

Bijou tries to eat the crabs (Francois and Shelly) and most of my guests, come to think of it. I'd keep chickens, or guinea pigs, etc, if I could, but our house is very very small.

I like pets that bite, though. I guess I'm weird like that. Kay says I transferred my love of people to animals. Instead of babies, I love grumpy animals. Cats, birds, horses, even...

I love books, but they seem a poor consolation compared to a trip to Italy. Useful, though. Stockpile while you can. I'm hoarding Ramen already. X.x

All I get from mine is lectures. Even clothes would be welcome. My mother doesn't approve of my book habit much, either, especially when I could be doing something productive, say, cleaning. Believe me, I can imagine.

Sigh. It doesn't make it any better though, and I'm sorry she told you that. You can come and live with me for a while after I move out, if you want. For shiz.

blaugh Congrats! And well, its a good thing parallel parking is only the norm in downtowns and big cities. I do believe you are safe, without the prospect of having to find a non-parallel parking spot.
