Lights around them burst as the creature lounged at Gidget and Ako. It came from various places .It had split itself up and now attacked the two all at once. It wrapped around them like a coil and begun a all-out drain.

Gidget could only cry out in shock and terror. It happened so fast, and she didn't have the concentration necessary to work her suit. She tightened her hold on Ako as she felt the suit's reserves begin to fluctuate between empty and full again and again. It was sensory overload.

Ako felt the surge a split-second before the being emerged, but it wasn't enough. The feeling was the opposite of being electrified, instead of contracting and spasming, it felt as though his muscles had lost all their strength. The electrical impulses the body used to move were being drawn away, and it felt as though even his brain was being leeched. He struggled as best he could, but even his control over his internal electricity was failing in the surprise attack. Without conscious thought, his mouth opened and released a shout of pain and rage.

Theonis didn't ask question and took her hand the moment she offered it. He met her glowing golden eyes with his own." Let's go" If Trinity was in danger than he had to do whatever he could to keep her safe. Especially now that she doesn't have her powers anymore.

His mind was already thinking of strategies but as long as they didn't know what they were up against it could prove useless. But something stuck....Trinity didn't have her powers anymore and yet Freya said that the creature was hunting a shadow user?

That instant the creature lashed out with it's tendrils to wrap around her legs and pull itself forth.

Even though she could detect there was something wrong she couldn't figure out where it was coming from. She was easily wrapped up with shadow tendrils. She fell, landing on her shoulder. Her hand that was on the hilt of the retractable glaive of light, she pulled it out, turned it on to slash at the creature. "Freya! Come out and face me!" she figured it was Freya, considering Tesho is healing himself and as far as she knew shadow manipulation is a rare power.

Okami pulled him in with her. As the shadow realm came into view the difference between a human travel and an animal one became immediately apparent.

The spirits of the shadow realm made themselves known to Okami and Theonis. They weren't threatening in anyway, but they regarded their lupine kin with reverence and curiosity. Whispers seemed to emanate from all sides as they spoke among one another in their strange language.

"To them, I am a demigod. When a human does this they stay hidden. I don't have to time to explain right now. Hold on tight and don't let go."

They world around them seemed to stretch before them. Their destination was clear at the end of the distortion. With the warping came a sensation of extreme g-force pushing against them. The force was accompanied by a heavy miasma that made it difficult to breath for but a moment.

Almost as soon as it started, it was all over. The realm snapped back into place and placed them behind the creature just as it started to pull itself through the shadow by Trinity's ankles.

Okami growled, "Hold on."

Still holding onto Theonis she leaped forward and dug her free hand into the back of the creature. Her hind claws followed suit in order to give her three points of contact for the ride from shadowy hell.

"Here goes!" she howled as they were pulled from the shadow realm into the mortal plane.

Kerana

Kerana thought she heard him say something but shrugged it off. Then he said they needed to stop. "What's wrong Alec?" she was concerned considering their minds are on this perfect date unknowing what's going on around them in the real world.

Alec shifted in his seat in order to face Kerana. "This is everything I could've ever asked for, but that's a problem. None of this is real outside of our own desires."

"We need to stop before it becomes too good to leave. I don't want to, please believe that, but it isn't right to lie to each other like this."

Mitch frowned at the thought of Heather leaving. "I'm afraid, I can't get a meeting with him right now. He reaches out to you, not the other way around. I tried to book a meeting earlier today and that's what Julie told me. However, I guess she passed my name along to have the meeting arranged. Another thing is he's really fast, his meetings are pretty much to the point and last a matter of minutes. He's on a very strict schedule unless he's looking into an emergency.

Keep in mind he's doing two heavy duty jobs and all the tasks, meetings and responsibilities as well. Perhaps it was why Trinity left.. it was too much for her.

I can pass your name and concern on to Julie... that was how I was able to get a meeting. I know it's not the answer you want to hear but that's the best I can do."

Julie, that was the name on that lady's desk. Larry looked down at his sister and said to her, "Julie is the lady that threw me and Deora across the room."

Ah, so the secretary has a name. Heather closed her eyes and took a deep breath, through her nostrils, to try and calm herself. This new body definitely came with a shorter fuse. She didn't normally get this worked up so quickly.

She exhaled softly and opened her eyes. She looked back to Mitch and said, "Okay, so we don't talk to Chuck yet. Then I'd like to talk to Julie about what happened earlier."

The creature was pulling Trinity into the shadows. That was where it's body was. It was a void within her. Calling out to it. Before it could pull Trinity in, the being itself was kicked out of the shadow realm completely by Freya. It let Trinity go in the progress. It's form now fully revealed. It appeared humanoid but consisted completely of shadow. Tendrils hung from it's shadows as a sort of cloak No visible facial features. Nothing. Just pitch black shadow. It lashed out with it's slicing tendrils at it's new enemies.

She was right. It WAS different. Before he could try and compensate for the G-forces it was already over. But he was coughing thanks to that miasma. Still holding Freya's hand tight, they both left the shadow realm with her kicking out that...thing. When they were back in the normal realm he let go of her hand to orientate himself. He didn't have a lot of time because before he knew it, tendrils of shadow lashed out to him and Freya. Theo managed to dodge in mid-air but it still cut his chest. Luckily it was skin-deep. He spotted Trinity who seemed to be okay. Physically.

"What's with you and danger, woman!? I take my eyes off of you for one second and something is trying to kill you!" Theonis said only half joking this time.

Okami leaped off the creature as it began it's vicious retaliation. The real divide between humans and shadow wolves was how they interacted with the shadows. Okami was able to physically touch and do harm to the shadow spirits. She hoped this would be the case for this thing.

She spun and danced around the strikes that she could dodge easily, and slashed with the claws on her hands and feet for anything that came too close. After putting some distance between herself and the creature, she finally noticed something.

The dark presence within her was gone. Not just locked, but completely absent. This meant that she didn't have to worry about using up too much energy. She could finally do the one thing she could do with ki.

A wild look flared in her eyes. Not so much in the sense of a feral animal, but that she was enjoying herself immensely during this bout. She licked her chops and growled with something of a grin.

She focused ki toward her lower body. She could feel the muscles in her legs quiver with potential energy, like a coiled spring.

She called out to Trinity and Theonis, "Get somewhere safe. I'll show this demon what it means to mess with one of us."

Kerana

Kerana was saddened that it had to come to an end. But Alec did have a point. "I know what you mean. It was nice of your friend to grant us this opportunity... but it would be better if we were doing this for real. So... How do we get out of here? Can we reach out to your friend?"

Alec pondered the question for a moment. As he did his eyes scanned their surroundings. The manifestation of the movie theater looked like any other cinema he had been to. Including the door at the bottom of the aisles marked with bright red "exit" signs.

He chuckled at the notion, but found it to be the most likely considering how important doors were to he and Alexavier only a week before.

He smiled and brushed some of the hair from his eyes. "We just have to leave the theater. Just like usual, once the fantasy is over we eventually have to step back into the light of reality."

He nervously slid his hand over to hers and laid it on top gently. "I'd go through any door, no matter how difficult, as long as I'm by you."

Mitch nodded, "Now that can be arranged." He called Julie and basically said that he had a few residents that would like to meet with her. She pretty much agreed and Mitch looked to Heather, "Looks like we're good. Let's go."
He lead the way to Julie's office.

Heather strode into the office confidently. She kept her wings wrapped over her like a cloak so as to reduce her appearance of hostility. She figured it was the best she could do considering that her new body gave her a very intimidating look.

She stepped up to the desk and did her best to keep from inhaling through her throat when speaking. "I'm Heather, representative of the Matron house residents. My little brother," she asserted with a point over her shoulder to the big child behind her, "tells me that you're the person responsible for the state he's in."

The sounds of breaking glass and shouts of pain and panic tore Deora from her thoughts in the hallway. She tore around the corner into the room, and had already started to pull the previously spilled water towards her before she saw Ms. Gidget's and the unknown man's predicament. As far as she could tell, the electrical being had them both in it's clutches. She didn't know the extent of their powers, but she knew both of them seemed to have some control over electricity. At least, the man did. Would that be enough to keep them protected if she tried to douse the electrical being, though? She hesitated there, water swirling about her feet and legs. Did she douse the creature like the man had told her, and risk electrifying the two it ensnared, or not? She couldn't think of anything else.

"What do I do?" She asked them, panic raising her voice nearly to a shout.

((ooc: eh...could have sworn I already posted something....was waiting on Pixel to respond. Also I currently have some trouble coming up with stuff to write in general. Writers block I suppose razz ))

Tendrills shot towards the ceiling taking out several lights, creating more darkness for the beast. It began to grow in size as it 'fed' on the additional darkness. It's hands became claws, feet grew talons. It lashed out again at Freya with tendrils that were a lot thicker than previously.

As the electric creature was draining the couple it didn't get any fulfillment out it. It's hunger only seemed to grow. It let out a frustrated buzz.

"What's with you and danger, woman!? I take my eyes off of you for one second and something is trying to kill you!" Theonis said only half joking this time.

She felt so relieved to hear him tease her. Trinity smiled a little, things always seem to lighten up when ever he was with her. "What? You thought things would get easy all of the sudden? Sorry my dear, the villains did not get the memo about my power." quickly she ran to keep up with Theonis.

"Yeah, no need to tell me twice. Give em hell Freya!" Theonis responded as he waited for Trinity.

"That's not Freya, that's Okami razz Good Luck Okami!"

Tendrills shot towards the ceiling taking out several lights, creating more darkness for the beast. It began to grow in size as it 'fed' on the additional darkness. It's hands became claws, feet grew talons. It lashed out again at Freya with tendrils that were a lot thicker than previously.

"Okami!" she stopped as the monstrosity changed its shape. She looked to Theonis then turned on her glaive. She wasn't sure if she should try, she felt so vulnerable, yet she couldn't let Okami take the fall, "What should we do? We can't leave her there can we?" It was good that she was beginning to sound like her old self again but, was it the right time?

"What do I do?" She asked them, panic raising her voice nearly to a shout.

Chuck quickly found a pair of rubber gloves in the R&E department and quickly left saying that he needed to take care of an emergency. He rushed to where the electric creature was and circled him breaking through with the rubber gloves its grip it had over Ako and Gidget. He circled the electrical beast in a speeding cyclone. One word at a time he directed Deora, "Deora. Direct. Water. At. It."

"Yeah, no need to tell me twice. Give em hell Freya!" Theonis responded as he waited for Trinity.

Just as the tendrils were about to run the she-wolf through, there was a blur where she once stood. In almost that same instant she was in the monster's face. Her claws lashed across the creature with a black aura trailing behind it. The single strike was followed by another blur, then another slash from behind. Then another from the left side. A rapid series of black trails and blurs flashed around creature as Okami continued her wild assault.

To the naked eye it would seem as though Okami were teleporting around the beast. In reality, she was using the shadows the beast had created to her advantage. The hastened time in the shadow realm allowed her to time her strikes with minimal danger of being hit. She knew a single slash was all she could afford before a retaliatory attack. The ki she had focused in her legs propelled her from one shadow to another.

She would continue her wild assault until she had nothing left in terms of energy, the beast lay in tatters, or the creature somehow managed to stop her.

Kerana

Kerana held his hand tightly then looked to his eyes. "I feel the same way." before they took another step she kissed him. If this didn't work this would be her only chance, real world or not. "Sorry... I don't know what came over me... shall we go?" she said holding his hand and leading toward the exit.

Alec said nothing, and only took a moment to hold onto the warmth brought to his lips. It was a sensation he had trouble comprehending. Perhaps when he had the strength, a pen, and paper, he would find the words to describe the soft sensation.

He followed her and squinted as the light bore down on them. When his eyes came into focus he found himself looking over at Kerana, asleep and gripping his frail, IV'd hand. They were back in the medical ward.

He gently moved his other hand over to her and brushed some errant strands of hair off of her face. The "date" may have been a product of their minds, but the sensations felt in it lingered on. His feelings for her were stronger than ever now. He would have to thank Alexavier when he saw him next.

"Yes, this is true. That was after he threaten me with his fist in my face, saying something along the lines of 'I don't think I can keep my arm raised for a whole minute.' that was a threat and I had been instructed to us force in such instances.' and it wasn't like I was giving him a hard time or anything. They asked to see Chuck Richards and I told gave them options, which apparently they didn't like but that's what they were. I was simply stating things as they are and how they could meet with him and he threatened to practically flatten me."

Perhaps he should go to the med bay to have that looked at, "Do you want to take him to the med bay to have them look at that? I could call ahead and let them know you're coming. I'm sorry it was too rough, but I felt threatened."

Small flames shot from Heather's nostrils as she whirled around to her brother. "Lawrence?! You didn't..."

He giant brother was vainly doing what he could to make himself smaller. scrunching his shoulders together and bringing his head down. "She was protecting the man that said bad things about Ms. Smith."

The dragoness stomped her clawed foot on the ground and stopped him before he could say anything else. He flinched and clammed up.

"I've told you Lawrence! You are big, but that doesn't make it right to push people around. You know better than that. There is no excuse outside of someone actually threatening you."

The big child sniffled as he was being brow beat by his big sister. The words "You're not my mother" itched behind his lips. but he thought better of kicking the hornets nest at this point.

Heather consciously breathed inhaled through her nostrils before letting out a frustrated sigh. She turned back toward Julie and apologized.

"I'm so sorry about that. Despite his size, he's still a ten year old boy in there. He'll be fine. Thank you for the offer."
