The moment the boy waved Cassandra leaped into the water despite not being able to swim. She had seen the basics before but never tried it. But she didnt need to swim. She couldn't! As if weighing a ton she instantly sank to the bottom. Fear and panic were there as displayed in her eyes and hair but not for her own. But for the safety of her child. Oxygen was already being wasted when she sank. But there was no time to worry about that. If she weighed this much....she could use her strength. Quickly kneeling to put force on her legs, she launched herself from her underwater position to catch the boy as he was sinking. Cassandra got lucky when they landed near the ledge. Ramming in her arm to support herself and the boy, she did the same with her feet. Now she was secured enough to haul the boy on land before climbing after him.
Water dripped from her wet, loose hanging bathrobe she still wore. Her hair was a mess as well. Cradling the boy in her arms she hoped he'd be okay.

Nova Blancke Chuck ignored her comment. She would be sorry for everything she made him go through. The humiliation of being beaten by her. To pity she gave him afterwards. The mockery of making him second in command. A constant reminder of his defeat!
His stance changed. Toes gripped the ground and with that he kicked off with blinding speed at Trinity. Speed and strength were his powers. The attack seemed pretty straight forward but still hard to follow due to his sheer speed. His punch was aimed at her waist. But right before connecting it would miss, perhaps graze her. Chuck would then twist his body and throw the punch again at her side. Trinity had to rely on a pure guess. Since his first attack was head on, she figured he may try that again and adjusted her stance accordingly. What?... He miss- Her thought was interrupted by his hit to the side. Which rammed her to the wall. Upon impact she realized the walls were padded to help with absorption of the impact. She thought for sure it was solid walls upon first glance but this may make things a little easier. Although it did absorb the impact, it looked pretty bad. It made you wonder if she could get up from that. Slowly figuring out what happened, she grabbed some dirt, her whole side and thigh felt bruised. Blood started to trickle out of her mouth. Despite the odds being against her, she stood up, she wiped the blood off her face, "I will never give up! ... and neither will the people of Valhalla!" As soon as he blurred out again she tossed the dirt in a half circle in front of her to blind him she dove away hoping that she had blinded him on the way over causing him to ram himself into the wall. She got back up, and looked over, hoping that's what happened.

Rikki Tikki Travi Heather was just about to respond when she caught something happening on the television in the corner of the pool area. "Wha?" was the only thing she could manage at that time. She took a few steps closer to the big screen to get a better look. "Oh my God, it's Trinity! She's fighting...who is that guy?"
"I have no-" in her head Casandra's overwhelming concern for her child was so loud. She held her head, panic like that was like listening to a high pitch squeal. Heather, I'm sorry to address you like this... but next door... something happened to the kid... As the pain muted out, she spoke "I don't know what happened meet me in the next pool she said referring to the pool they were in. She started swimming toward the entrance to the next pool.

"Come on guys, step on it! I'm getting a bad feeling about this. And whenever I get that....she is usually in trouble." Theo said the the guards as he urged them to move faster.
"You won't get lucky this time Trinity! This would have been over if the walls weren't made for impacts" Chuck replied as she got up. He leaped forward towards her before dashing back again. Just to mess with her. She was wounded and in no way capable of defending herself as she did before. He had already won." Oh, I am counting on it. It'd be too boring if you just rolled over and died. And the people of Valhalla want justice. Justice against the traitor they loved and trusted for all these years! You! Attacking and nearly killing your own teacher as well? You should be thankful I am even letting you defend yourself like this. If it were up to me, I'd have executed you when I had the chance!"

Damn it! I'm running out of ideas here… She heard what he had to say. Her eyes widened as he spoke about her sensei, Freya! The shadow beast was too much for her… her eyes narrowed as she shook her head how dare he framed me for it! … And for what?! Just to make him likable? I didn't have to resort to such nonsense. I spent years of coming to Valhalla's aid and fighting for it to earn their trust.
"Thankful?! Justice!?! I don't think you know the meaning of the words!" she spat blood toward him.
"You call winning a rigged fight justice!? Where's the sense of honor? What's the point of winning such a fight?! I didn't have to do a show to earn their trust. I earned it for seven years and you tried to make me look like a traitor… is that what I should be thankful for is that what you claim is justice? Gidget chose right, for you are a coward!"
"You may be in some form of delirious denial of what happened all those years ago. But guess what! The truth is Gidget chose me because I won fair and square! … and you can't handle the truth."
She readied herself for the final blow and was now positioned in front of one of the exits. She did the 'bring it on' gesture.

Chuck didn't bite. He forced himself to keep his cool.
" A rigged fight? What part of this is rigged? Did I do something to the arena? To the environment? Do tell me what is rigged in this fight. Honor is for warriors, I am not a warrior. I am a soldier! And I will use any means necessary to protect these people!" Chuck exlaimed!
"If you have their trust and support...then how come nobody is here to help you?"

She wasn't falling for the last question. Though she would be pissed off, especially now, if Theonis were to show. In order for her plan to work she had to be on her own and make it appear that Chuck had done her in.
"You knew I currently don't have my powers! I don't know how you found out but you knew.
It was a tad too convenient that this suddenly popped up when I came back. The only reason why we're fighting now is because you felt it was 'necessary' to show Valhalla 'Who was the better fighter' and the only way to do that was to do it when I don't have any, while you have all the advantage."
"C'mon Chuck I saw that smug smile on your face and we both know you don't have a good poker face."
She wanted to prove him wrong so bad, to show that she could still do this without her powers. But she had learned when to identify a fight you can't win. "Are we going to yammer all day or what?"

As the tables turned in Chuck's favor Kerana rubbed her arms and bit her lip. "This looks really bad..." she hated feeling helpless, where all she could do is sit there and watch. Or is it? She started to wonder if there was a possibility for her to help Trinity, without getting in the way. Maybe Alec could see a way. "I'll be right back Deora." She head back to Alec's room, "Alec…" she noticed the tv was on in his room too. "I guess you can see what's going on huh? She approached him and held his hand. Forgive me for asking, but I can't stand to see her suffer like this and do nothing. Is there a way I can help Trinity? I don't want her to die, Valhalla needs her!"

Heather sort of wiggled in place for a moment. She knew what was happening next door was more important, but she also wanted to see what the story was behind the fight on TV. It was a short delay, and her conscience spoke louder than her curiosity. She ran back into the previous pool, the claws on her feet punctuating her approach. She came to a sliding stop on her knees beside Cassandra and Damian. Seeing Damien unconscious brought the incident from last week to mind. Her hands went up to one of the spikes protruding from her curtain of white hair. She tried to snap it off, but found it more difficult than before. After another try and she realized it was impossible. The spike she held wasn't like the rubbery, reptilian one from before. It felt more like bone. Thinking quickly she looked over to Cassandra. "Hey! You're, like, crazy strong, right? Snap one of these spike off of the center of my head. The inside smells really bad. It might be enough to wake him up."Damien wasn't breathing, and his pulse was weak. He laid limp and motionless in Cassandra's arms.

Their pace was much too slow for him. His young mind tossed and turned as the seconds passed like minutes. By the time they finally came in view of the doors to the faux Colosseum, Larry couldn't stand it any longer. He shoved his way past the guards, Theonis, and Miss Morris' boyfriend as gently as his giant self could manage. The next thing to be shoved was the doors. They weren't shoved so gently. Once the doors were on the ground, he squeezed through the opening. Said opening was smaller than he was, but he didn't care. The giant child pressed himself through like a cookie cutter through dough. He saw Trinity and Chuck standing across from each other talking. Larry, without so much as a word of warning, used his super speed to dash down the isle toward Chuck. A rush of wind followed in his wake. He barreled toward Chuck with his massive, man-sized right fist barreling down like a hammer. He was going to show this bad man why, without Heather, he was an S ranked threat.

But he would do anything for Kerana, even if it meant some discomfort. His pupils dilated and looked out into the vastness of time. After a few seconds some tears began to well up in his eyes. A few seconds more and he was weeping without blinking. "Sadness, confusion, disbelief. RAGE, so much rage. Fire...everywhere. It doesn't go out. Not as long as the rage persists."His head dropped forward as his vision ended. His breathing was heavy and rapid, causing sweat to bead up. His eyes were wild and exhausted all at once. He looked over to Kerana and shook his head. "There will be death. There's no avoiding that. Whether or not it is Trinity will depend on the heart of an innocent. Either way there will be a fire. I'm sorry. There were so many possibilities, but they were so infused with suffering that I couldn't see past the fog of time."
"I'm sorry I'm so weak. I've never been strong, like you." he sighed with deep disdain for himself.

Cassandra didn't hesitate when the dragongirl offered help. Or rather, offered her horn which needed to come off first. Her hand wrapped around the horn and snapped it off without much effort. It sounded painful but that was just a word she knew. She didn't know pain.
Cassandra held the bottom part of the horn near Damian's nose, hoping he'd wake up from the smell.

Heather's eyes teared up as soon as she felt the snap. It hurt worse than the spines in her lizard form. Thankfully, it didn't hurt as bad as a broken bone. She was able to work through the pain with a lot of silent swearing.
Even though the pungent odor of the marrow from the spike could be smelled by all in close proximity, Damien's absent breaths kept him from sniffing it in.
Heather was confused at first, but then she remembered what her parents told her about when Lawrence almost drowned.
"Lay him down," she directed, "He could have water in his lungs and needs mouth to mouth."
"I don't have human lips anymore, so you'll have to do it. Just tilt his head back, hold his nose, form a seal around a mouth with yours, and then blow until his lungs go as high as they can. If his heart is still beating, don't push his chest or anything like that."

"No, you're strong too... you're just recovering right now... thank you by the way. You know I wouldn't have asked if it wasn't an emergency... I just can't stand seeing her like this-" she rubbed her eyes a bit. She must have blinked or something, because when looked up again something hit Chuck. "Does ... she have... her powers back?"
