Tears fell from Kerana's eyes as it looked like Larry passed away and there was nothing further they could do. She sniffed and "He- he's gone Deora..." she rubbed her eyes. Then she watched as his sister shift forms and blow torched the head of security.

It was lucky for Cassie she got out of the way in the nick of time. Hans came to just in time to see the dragon to blow flames on the girl he brought here. I'm just a delivery guy... not a hero... the whole reason I deliver letters is to stay away from this. Without much hesitation he rushed and got Cassie out of the way.

Despite Trinity seeming to be okay, he did noticed the dried up blood and wondered how that got there. As far as he knew she didn't have a fast healing ability. It didn't compare to how bloody his own face and hands were with Larry's blood. He heard her mumbling. We? No, not him. That demon of hers?

"On it." He re-dialed her number again.

"Oh, hello sexy, listen I'm-" Liv started before Theo cut her off

"I know you don't wanna be here but that thing is coming after you next when it finds out Trinity doesn't have what it's looking for! Right now we have some chance to kill it! You got both Light and Shadow. And if you even want to sleep a bit safely at night without worrying bout this guy....you get your a** down here right now!"

Again with that commanding tone! Just how does he think he is?! She clicked her tongue. He had a point. If it did finish of Trinity, she could be next. After a short pause she replied with a frustrated answer." Fine! Goddamnit!" before hanging up.

"Won' be long now." He said before being interrupted by tendrils smashing about. Frustrated at him for interrupting his meal.

Just as he thought, Ako could feel the heat from the dragon's breath on his back even over the distance he'd put between them. It wasn't enough to cause discomfort, but the fact that he could feel it even through his jacket told him never to anger the dragon. Misuse of his power had gotten him into some hot situations before, but nothing of that magnitude. Part of his felt a little sorry for Chuck. Just a little.

The light from the fire kept the shadows away for a bit, but he still couldn't see far enough ahead to find Gidget. He had to turn when he heard Gidget call his name, but her request almost made his pause. How was he supposed to cauterize her leg? Didn't that require heat? He couldn't produce enough heat to burn her without possibly electrocuting her. He could heat something up, but he'd have to stop to find something suitable, and that wasn't an option.

As he continued his frantic search for her, his adrenaline-jacked mind was racing. As strange as adrenaline's effects are, it managed to dredge up a memory of some medical practice he'd seen. whether it was on TV or during one of his stays at a hospital was fuzzy, but it involved the use of two metal probes and high-frequency electricity to stop bleeding more cleanly than the movie fix of heating up a metal plate and pressing it to the wound. He would have to be careful, but it might work.

With a plan still formulating in his unfogging mind, he very nearly tripped up when flares suddenly lit the space. Whoever shot them aimed them at the same spot instead of spreading the light around, but he'd take what he could get at this point. Finally, he could see Gidget, her silhouette outlined brilliantly in the unidirectional light of the two flares. It would have been one of the happiest sights in Ako's life, if it weren't for the flashbangs some idiot threw next.

Ako had been on the receiving end of flashbangs before, but it wasn't something one could just get used to. In a literal flash he was stumbling to his needs, momentarily blind, deaf, and disoriented. He uttered a string of curses he couldn't hear, ending with, "What ******** idiot threw a flashbang?"

He was still seeing spots and suffering from one of the worst cases of tinnitus he'd ever had when he forced himself to stand and close the distance to Gidget.

His cauterization plan was forgotten when he dropped to one knee beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder to let her know he was there. "Gidge? What happened?" He asked, probably a bit louder than he needed to, thanks to excitement and hearing loss.

Deora could only stand and watch, shocked into inaction. One arm wrapped around Kerana and pulled her into a hug, and the other hand grasped for one of the fox girl's. While it was meant as a comforting gesture, it was as much for Deora's comfort as Kerana's. The violet-haired girl had just been starting to feel as though she were gaining control of her life, and now all she could do was stand in this sterile hospital room and watch as her friends fought and died. Even her control of water couldn't stop the tears now. She pulled Kerana close and asked in a hoarse whisper, "What do we do?"

Kerana's ears lowered, "I-I don't know... I don't know Deora" she burred her tears in Deora's shoulder. "I really wish I did know... I don't like just sitting here and watch all of these terrible things happen."

Trinity frowned a little as he quickly dialed Liv, but dismissed it knowing that he was only doing what was needed. "Right... good" she nodded. She noticed she was missing her light glaive when the tendrils started smashing about. She needed to get that to help keep the thing at bay. She bit her lip... "The glaive...I need it to keep this thing at bay... are you able to grab it out of there with your power?"

The glaive shot towards Theonis, actually turning, spinning and cutting tendrills it encountered. He had gotten so much better at the finer aspects of his power. Catching it in one hand, he looked at her. "Yeah, think I can do that." Theo handed her the glaive. He then activated a few glowsticks he had on him. Using his power he scattered them around the arena.

Trinity, wasn't expecting anything fancy but it seemed Theonis wanted to show off his refined control of his power. She smirked a little as he handed over the glaive, "Thanks. Show off." she said in a joking tone. She kept the tendrils at bay as she continue to slash them away.

Kerana's ears lowered, "I-I don't know... I don't know Deora" she burred her tears in Deora's shoulder. "I really wish I did know... I don't like just sitting here and watch all of these terrible things happen."

The dragon's maw snapped shut. She inspected the smoldering heap that used to be the head of security. A powerful puff of air from her nostrils blew his remains away. But something was still wrong.

She was still furious. She was still in pain. Killing Chuck was supposed to make it go away. Her bestial mind couldn't comprehend why she was still unsatisfied.

Her eyes gazed down at the body of her brother. The pain became greater, as did the fury. After a deep breath she let out a bellowing roar that shook the walls. A moment later she began to spray her dragon';s fire indiscriminately around her. Heather's despair was driving her mad. The dragon's desire for revenge drove her to burn everything around her until the pain went away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Alec was watching the action on TV. He had glimpsed the future again, and only saw one outcome if no one could stop Heather. Likewise, there was only one was to calm her down without killing her.
His voice was too weak to call out to Kerana, and it would take too long to relay a message with a nurse. He determined there was only one thing to do.
Alec removed the leads that were monitoring his vital signs. He took out the IV line that was delivering fluids to him. Alarms chimed in the hallway, alerting any staff nearby that something was wrong.
He threw his legs over the sides of the bed and attempted to stand. Attempt being the key word, because he immediately fell once weight was put on his legs.
His vision was beginning to blur. There wasn't much time. Putting one arm in front of the other, Alec dragged himself along the floor to the door of his room.
Once he was far enough into the hall he called out, "Kerana!"
Gidget could barely make out what Ako said thanks to his shouting. "I got stabbed in the leg. I think it got the artery. We don't have a lot of time to act. C'mere."
She reached out and grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him toward her. She firmly planted her lips on his and started to communicate with him via their powers. She had done something similar a week ago when she taught him how to make a Jacob's ladder with his arms.
Images of electrical arcs meeting from two different sources crashing into each other flooded his mind. The arcs were arcs violet and blue. When they met there was a brilliant flash, like fireworks.
She pulled her lips away from his and looked into, what she hoped, were his eyes. "Do you understand? I'll stop your electricity from killing me with my power. We have to be totally in sync in order to cauterize my leg. "
Against Cassie's wishes Hans brought her back to the medbay for he feared things got way too dangerous with Heather's rampage. He decided to stick around since these were out of the ordinary circumstances, he wasn't sure if he could safely deliver his other packages. With his phone he notified his boss about holding off making the rest of the deliveries until this clears. His boss understood and replied, "Stay safe."
Once he was far enough into the hall he called out, "Kerana!"
Kerana was crying in Deora's shoulder when she heard the alarms go off. She figured that the medics would go ahead and address the situation. Then she heard her name, her ears perked up and she looked to Deora. "It's Alec... we need to go see him." she had a sinking feeling that the alerts were somewhat related to Alec.
She saw Alec on the floor. "Oh my god! Alec!" she rushed to his side. "Quick Deora, help me get him to his bed." she put one of his arms on his her shoulder and stood up with Deora's help. "Quick get a nurse or someone to reattach his IVs..." as Deora left. She and Alec were alone. She held his hand tight, Please don't let me loose you too today... She barely finished whipping the tears she shed for Larry.
She bit her lip as she asked,"You had another vision didn't you?" She figured he wouldn't have gone through the trouble to call her if it wasn't important. "Please... tell me what do I need to do."
Alec reached out and clutched the sleeve of her shirt. His breathing was heavy and labored after having exerted himself.
"They're going to kill her. They'll have to. She wont stop. The pain is too much for her. The fire will spread. It wont go out as long as her rage exists."
He looked deep into her eyes, desperation shining through his sunken orbits. "You can stop her. She's still in there, somewhere. But not alone. Take the water girl, I don't know her name."
"She's hurting, and lost. Lost in the beast. You have to find her before they kill her to save Valhalla."
"I'll see what I can do... You need to rest up. I'll get Deora, the water girl. Take care of yourself." She placed a kiss on his head. He could tell she was nervous about this and wanted to stay by his side as the med team stabilized him.
Kerana stepped out of the room shortly joined by Deora who was followed by a med team who attended Alec's needs. "We need to get to Heather before they try to kill her." Her words were confident on what was needed to be done but her eyes and body language were nervous about facing a dragon. "He had a vision and said that we're the only ones that can stop her."
Meanwhile Liv took a few deep breaths.
"Okay girl, you can do this. Nothing out of the ordinary...just...going to fight a giant shadow monster that wants to kill you." She nodded a bit to herself." Yeah, nothing dangerous there." Liv said as she was looking into the mirror, leaning on the sink. Though she could more than hold her own in a fight, she was not a fighter nor courageous."Oh why am I even doing this?" She sighed. "I can just pack up and leave right?...Goddamnit....let's just get this over with"
She exhaled deeply as her skin began to literally shine. Her outline became transparent. A yellow light burst out from within her, overwriting her normal texture. The world around her itself seemed to burst out in light as she looked around. She has been in the Shadow Realm and the world of Light. But she preferred this one far better. Light traveled everywhere. If there was light, she could go there. If there wasn't, she still could. She became one with the waves of light and teleported to her destination.
The moment she arrived she flared up, illuminating the room.
There was a sort of distorted roar heard through-out the arena as the light penetrated the darkness. Yes, it did create shadows but the majority of the room was brightly lid. The creature began to concentrate itself into a single dense spot.
Deora had to pause a moment, looking into Kerana's eyes to see if she was joking. Even at a time like this, she couldn't have been serious about what she'd just said. She was all for protecting Heather, saving her from herself, but she didn't see how. "Did his 'vision' happen to tell us how to do this?" She asked, still not sure this guy's 'vision' was even to be believed.
She would normally be all for a fight, ready to take on even someone from the older generation of meta humans, even with her still-limited control of her own powers. If it was either of Heather's previous forms, Deora would be all too willing to tackle the problem, but this latest change was something else. This was a full grown, fire-breathing dragon. What did the vision guy expect the two girls to do against that?
