Nova Blancke "No no no, you are not doing this to me right now. We are not taking turns in dying damnit!" He immediately began CPR but without pressing her chest. Getting her heart to pump was something he could do more efficiently with his power. Larry couldn't be saved with it. But he sure as hell wasn't going to lose Trinity!
"Come on...stick with me".
Trinity's body was still limp despite Theonis efforts. Her heart would refuse to pump and would remain that way until the poison runs it's course.
Upon her neck lies the choker, the one that her ancestor once wore. It some how survived the transformation she had undergone and back. It was around the neck of the demon's form but everyone seemed a bit more focused on her body to notice.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rikki Tikki Travi The world around them bent and shifted to a horrific scene. Fire, dead bodies placed on pikes, and a man in a mask laughing maniacally over the fallen body of the first Trinity.
"This is where it started for your lineage." said the demon. Her body changed to reflect her appearance at the time of the memory. She took on the appearance of a pale woman in a black dress with hair that reached the ground. She was not particularly attractive, but it was a sign of the times. A more traditional beauty.
The man in the mask sank into the ground and left the first Trinity broken and alone. "This was the day I committed a grave taboo. I interfered with a mortal I had no pact with."
She looked over to the ancestor standing beside present day Trinity. "She did not know it at the time, but she was tethered by the chains of lineage as well. A Goddess' light. But I feared it would not be enough."
A dark figure arouse from the dancing shadows created by the flames. Though feminine in figure, she lacked any defining features outside of the bright gray eyes that shone from the "face."
The figure knelt beside the nearly catatonic Trinity. The eyes took a shape of pensive concern.
"I knew this would only be the beginning of that man's terror, and that he would stay hidden among the shadows to stay safe from the light. For her to succeed against the man who committed this atrocity, I concluded that she would need the assistance of those very shadows."
The scenery changed and it was one all too familiar to her. Not because she was the one who lived through this first hand but she did live through it through her ancestor's memories. It was a different perspective, because she had seen this scene through her ancestor's eyes.
It was never made clear as to why her ancestor was able to manipulate the darkest shadows and yet cast the purest of light, often called 'holy'. The gift that has been passed down through generations, and awakened in times of need, was a result of this demon's taboo? Yet as much as she wanted to believe what was played out, something troubled her. Could her ancestor remember what happened while she was unconscious? How could she know for certain that this actually happened? She could very well have inserted anything here and she wouldn't be able to tell whether or not it was true.
There was something else she wondered though. "You said she was tethered to the Goddesses' light? How can that be? Based on our family tree she was born to a blacksmith and his wife." A moment after asking that she briefly wondered if that meant hat she and Liv were somehow related but dismissed it as she awaited her answer.

The demon looked back at her host and sighed, "That...is a question I asked myself that very night, but I was unable to ascertain an answer. I had no idea of their connection until I watched these events unfold. When she took hold of that b*****d's arm and burned him with something beyond what most light magic was incapable of at the time."
"And then there was this."
The figure placed a hand gently on the fallen Trinity's shoulder only to be met with a burning light that traveled up her arm, melting away the darkness to reveal a human arm.
The figure snatched her hand away. She examined it curiously before cloaking it in the darkness again. She then looked back down at the first Trinity and muttered "Your light is strong, but it may not be enough. The darker the shadow, the brighter the light.".
The scene froze in place and admitted to her host, "I would understand if this seems suspect. I have done nothing to earn your trust. But this is your mindscape, and the ancestor standing behind you can peel away lies with her light. It...,is possible that some of my memories have been altered by the madness."
The scene changed again. This time to a temple dedicated to the various Gods and Guardians of the time and region. In front of a statue of the shadow Goddess, Umbra, stood the demon with a glaive in her chest where her heart would be. Holding the glaive was the first Trinity, a look of malicious intent on her face. The blade of the polearm appeared to be fashioned of tempered and polished stone.
"This memory, for example, I feel may be one of the altered ones. This moment drove me to hate Trinity, and was the start of my descent into insanity."
"But earlier, when you losing your power, the hatred melted away. I came to realize that this may not have happened as I remember."

The demon thought for a moment before answering. "I would be one with you. Her will shall survive, but not her power."
"You will gain access to my memories and power. As for what you will lose...for the moment it will be privacy. But if your heart should slip back into the same darkness you felt only hours ago, than the madness will overcome us both."
"And..." the demon seethed. "it was not the necromancer. For this is what happened immediately after."
Their surroundings shifted again. This time, the scene changed to that of a wooded area not far from the temple. The demon was sitting against a tree, slowly bleeding out. She was in her human form, trembling, and crying.
"I do not understand. Why would she attack me without provocation." she mused alloud. Something she would do when under durress.
Another figure came into view. This one a man who's features didn't seem that far off from the demon's.
"It would seem that you have met your comeuppance, my sister." he said flatly.
The demon looked up at the approaching man and coughed up blood. "Have you come to gloat in my final moments, brother? To chastise me for getting involved with mortal affairs?"
The demon's brother knelt in front of his fallen twin."On the contrary, Sister." he said with a smirk, "I come bearing a gift that will save your life."
Without warning he revealed something that he had been hiding behind his back and shoved it into his sister's open wound. The object was a stone about the size of his fist. It was covered in small pocks and craters, and it was accompanied by a warm glow.
The demon clawed at her chest, writhed on the ground, and howled in pain, but the stone was only going deeper into her chest. It soon closed the wound around itself.
"Brother. this pain! What have you done to me?!" she demanded.
The man chuckled and spread his arms wide. "Why I have given you the power of the stars, dearest sister. It should be interesting to see how it manifests in you." he laughed.
The demon's flesh began to fall off her of bones in clumps. The surrounding shadows drew toward her to replace the melting skin and muscle.
The scene slowed down and stopped before fading away to where the demon and the two Trinity's had started. The demon appeared now as her shade self; the dark feminine figure with the glowing silver eyes.
"I...I am sorry, but I cannot relive that moment again."
