More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Trinity smiled a little "I thought you'd never ask. Just... let me get dressed." she walked over to the closet that's connected to every bedroom in Valhalla. A network of clothing shared by all of Valhalla if they so choose.Trinity went with something simple. She submitted her request and sizes as the clothes shifted on top and bottom to land on her request, she kept rubbing her neck. I guess without my power, there's no getting to that new skirt to show off to Theonis... or She dismissed the petty thought and pulled out undergarments, a pair jeans, a purple tank top and a pair of sneakers and a blullet proof vest to top it off.

"Thank you." He replied.

Theo put the blanket on the chair and turned to Trinity. Walking up behind her, he put the choker back around her neck. " I guess you were missing this."

"My choker? How?... I thought it was lost forever." she smiled. "It's strange I've worn it all of the time. I didn't realize how much I'd miss it when I thought it was gone for good.

Kind of silly though isn't it?...

Though this is something that was passed down to me from my ancestor... my folks ... it was a graduation gift from my folks..." she bit her lip the mood was being dampened a bit again. "How's Gidget doing? Do you think they'll allow us to visit her before we head home?"

" I dunno how she is doing. I've been here since they brought you in. But I think they should be able to let you see her." Theo replied."Did you...solve matters with her?"

"Yeah, pretty much. As it turned outs she didn't remove 13 years of memories… it pretty much was, she has all of those memories but, the way she remembers them now are with emotions. It was being unable to express her emotions through all those years made it hard to cope when she returned to her body." She smirked a little "…and yeah you were right."

Theo managed a small chuckle." I thought i'd be strange for someone who's like a sister to you would remove all of that. I don't know her like you do but that just doesn't sound like her." He replied with a little of his old self returning.

"Come on."

A month flew by and it was time for Trinity's status report. She came in with her usual uniform as head of security, saluted and went to an at ease position with her hands behind her.

"Status Report, of the past month."

"There have been no further attacks from, what we've been referring to as the 'meta-cores', such as the shadow and the electrical creatures. We've detected a water based one among the aquatic residence. It has yet displayed any sign of a threat and has been getting along well with the residents. Research and Development have been trying to figure out where they came from. What triggered the creation of the meta-cores is still unknown."

"Heather had been under close surveillance until her trial."

She took a deep breath and exhaled her fingers digging into her wrist.
"Repairs are nearly completed from the last succubus incident. No further threats have been detected." It was obvious that this part of the report made her uncomfortable and ashamed. She even felt ashamed for conveying this emotion, a sign of weakness.

Even though she was pretty much back to work the next day she still felt conflicted on things. Every night she kept having these haunting dreams about her last encounter with the demon. She wasn't getting as much sleep as she would normally get and that was little to begin with. She used to rely on her power to schedule a power nap whenever she needed it but without it, things were different. As the dreams kept her awake, she would start her excercise routine in the middle of the night, and jogged around Valhalla.

Despite her lack of sleep, she still managed to stay in shape. Even more so without her power. Yet sometimes she felt that still wasn't enough and due to her lack of sleep the succubus had made its appearance at least 3 times this past month. She kept doubting herself on how well could she really protect Valhalla without her power and when she too was a bit of a contributor to the chaos. Luckily with some cautious editing no one was able to connect her to the creature. She was conflicted about doing that but understood that hope needed to return to Valhalla and she is a big part of that happening.

Still she wanted to talk to her sensei is about the deal that the demon offered. She tried to get a hold of Teshomaru, but has yet gotten in touch with him. She couldn't help but feel that he was avoiding her for some reason. Freya was in the process of recovering from her last battle. She talked to Theonis about it but there was limited resources about the subject of demons, so he couldn't help as much as he would like. She hopped to find answers soon. Yet another thing that kept bugging her, why would a powerful ancient demon be on her knees begging her to make the decision?

Aside from the complicated side of things, since things have quieted down for Valhalla she got to spend some quality time with her man.

The demon whispered within Trinity's head. The voice was tauntingly sweet. Due to Trinity's decision, the demon that called herself Shade, was struggling to keep herself in check. But every time that Trinity slipped the madness would warp Shade's mind and cause her to return to her tainted self.

"You seem tired. It does take a lot of strength to keep me at bay. Especially when you refuse to use my presence to manipulate the shadows. I told you I was yours to command, did I not? Of course, you could let me out more often. Do you not enjoy letting go? Of course you do. I know because you let it happen. So go ahead. Let it go."

She then began to sing a looping rendition of "Let it go." Looping in that the only words in her version were "let it go." As annoying as it was, part of her was forcing herself to keep her "Trinity head volume" low.

This month had been a very active and exhausted month for Theonis Acula Richards. The now new head of Valhalla. After the fiasco with Chuck, things needed to change and he was the only one who pushed for it. Gidget was out of commission for a while, Trinity wasn't at 100% either. So he stepped up. His main reason was to prevent anything like this from ever happening again, Larry was part of that reason as well.

He didn't just raise to power due to his influence. No, he had demonstrated he too possessed the right skills for the job. Plus Gidget was his adviser. Her many years of experience would not go to waste. She wouldn't be by side side all the time. He would call on her for advice, for when he had questions and for big decisions.

So far the screening was intensified, troops were under orders to think for themselves. He wouldn't let anything like Chuck happen again. No, if the troops find something suspicious they are allowed to refuse orders without repercussions. If it's based on a good reason of course. No more blindly following orders.

Clear instructions on what to do in various cases of emergencies was also one of them. The old protocols were still in effect since they were still good but ever since he got here all kinds of strange things happened. Those Meta Cores were one of those things. Funny thing was, his father had already predicted the potential occurrence of those things. Among other things. His files were nothing short of a treasure trove and Theo planned on using all he could of it.

Now that he was in this position he had to change his image a bit. Despite being 20 he had to look more mature. He cut his hair a bit. Not short but shorter than he had. A ponytail was no longer an option but now he kept it combed back along with hair mousse to keep it in place. And he had to admit...it did look better. It somehow brought out the duality of his hair and eye colors more. Well...that and the suit. Gotta at least look professional.

As Trinity spoke he was going through some files about their finances. Another thing he needed Gidget for. He had given her a new robotics lab to tinker with. Profit made from those patents would help greatly. Plus he had gotten better at manipulating the market with stocks. Nothing drastic but he knew the best times to make a good profit. He currently held stocks in a few major companies. If it kept going like that as he intended he could become a major shareholder and greatly expand his influence. Guess those Civ games did help.

The new Head nodded as she finished. He turned to her, elbows leaning on the table, hands folded into each other.

"Okay, Trinity, I would like a daily report from now on. Even if it's only something small or nothing at all. Might just be small stuff but it's best to be prepared. How're you holding up? As your boss I am worried about your state of mind and lack of sleep. As your boyfriend...I am just worried about you in general. Sleep is one thing but the demon? I'll expand the search for Teshoumaru. Hopefully Freya can tell is something more when she is up for it."

"I can do this hourly if you prefer. I used to do it with Gidget as soon as I found something going south." She appreciated seeing Theonis taking initiative and setting things right. She loved his new look, how did the song go 'Cause every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

"The search for Teshomaru. I'd call it off, I feel it's a waist of resources right now. Especially if the only one who can get to the Shadow Realm is now recovering in the med bay."

"As for my well being…" she folded her arms. "The sleep deprivation is making matters worse with keeping it together." She sighed to herself, she hated having anyone worry about her well being, especially Theonis. She bit her lip, "The temptation to simply submit and gain control grows greater… but I don't want to make this decision without knowing all the-"

The demon's voice resonated in her skull. Trinity rubbed her head and softly asked, "Stop... please stop..." She said the only thing I'd be giving up was privacy... I don't even have that now. She breathed in and settled for a lower volume. "Sorry about that... she wants to come out again..." She closed her eyes breathed in and exhaled. "I think, I'm okay for now... but, if this keeps persisting... I may need to be locked up somewhere." she had no control when the tainted Shade took over and therefor could not predict what her actions may be. Based on the damage the last time she was out she thought it would be safer to lock herself up until she was normal again.

"Hourly it is." he said with a nod."Good."

He let out a sigh." Yeah I guess you are right. You get the demon of shadows but not the ability to use shadows. You got the wrong end of the deal huh?"

As Trinity tried to stop the voice in her head he spoke up." You need sleep. Take a few sleeping pills if you have to. If it comes down to the worst we can put you to sleep for a while. As a drastic measure only." He stood up and walked over to her to put his hands on her shoulders as he stood close to her.

"I wanted to keep this from you but you might not have to go 'somewhere' if you need to be locked up. I had a similar light cell build after the initial outburst. I'm sorry and I hope I will never have to use it or force you in. It's just a precaution."

"And...one more thing....maybe you should...talk to Liv. She has been acting strange, paranoid and looks like hell at the moment. She keeps muttering about how the shadows won't shut up and tries her best to avoid any kind of shadow. So maybe it has something to do with your power. Could be worth checking out. Think about it alright?"

"Right... that's beginning to sound like a better idea at the moment... sleep until Freya is well." she muttered out loud to herself. Then she felt his hands on her shoulders and she glanced at them. "I know... but you may have to... or I may have to go there, just so everyone is safe. No one has died yet but I could not forgive myself if she killed an innocent, I'm not sure if I can bring myself back if that happened. Man... that boys club, 'The Babes of Valhalla' got way too close based on the security footage I reviewed." she shook her head, "the nose bleeds."

Her eyebrow raised as he brought up Liv's name and predicament. She narrowed her eyes in thought, "You don't think she absorbed more than just my power do you? Could she have somehow absorbed a bit of the demon as well?"  

[Nova Blancke]

Theo couldn't help but laugh at a bit." I think that's the closest they have ever come in contact with a woman."

"But yeah, it's a possibility.Maybe your demon is out of control because of the fact that she isn't fully with you. All conjectures at the moment but a hunch is better than nothing at the moment." He spoke before seeming to realize something.

He pressed the button for the intercom to Julie. "Julie, do I have any more appointments for today?"

"No sir, for once it's clear."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Thanks."

He turned back to face Trinity. " How does your schedule look for today?

Trinity smirked then said, "Looks like the next item on the agenda is paying Liv a visit. I guess I should at least thank her, she did save my life twice now... I hadn't had the chance to thank her the second time. Been caught up with my own mess I guess."

At the mention of Liv's condition, Shade became uncharacteristically silent. She became pensive, agitated. Her anxiety was almost palpable.
