More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Trinity rubbed her head as Shade, "No she isn't, she was pointing out it's different for me because of my inner light. Every other woman she possessed was tainted by an evil deed, I haven't. Also I'm the first to have a physical form."

She thought a moment and frowned a little then said, "So many coincidences… as if I was meant to absorb her."

"Yet about what she is asking me to do. Should I just go for it to maintain control, at the risk of her getting what she wants at the cost of a bigger price? I'm trying to figure out what she has gain out of all of this, demons… there's got to be something more in it for her. I fear if I just go for it without knowing what that is I fear I may put others in danger, and yet…if I keep on as I am now I may put people in danger when the tainted side of her comes out. Luckily no one has been killed but they're still repairing things the because of her. I don't know maybe I'm making too much of this… what would you do if you were me?"

Freya pursed her lips as she considered Trinity's question. "Trin, I don't know if I'm the best person to ask. I'm sort of biased in this situation. I don't trust that thing inside you."

"The thing is...man I can't believe I'm saying this...she may not be a demon. There are a lot of things that don't add up. Everything about the way she is dealing with you is completely uncharacteristic of any written account I've come across about her."

"But...if I really had to choose...if I were in your situation...I'd go for it. And if she tried anything, I'd kick her a**." she said with fierce, smirking determination.

Theonis gave a small smile." Yeah, I can make it work."

He pulled out his phone." I can call him right now if you want."

Helena tensed up as she blurted out, "NO! I mean, not just yet. I don't even know what I would say to him. I think I need some time alone to sort things out, y'know, in my head."  

[Nova Blancke]

Theo let out a soft chuckle and put away his phone.

"I wasn't going to let him talk to you over the phone this instant. I mean I could call him right now to make set up the meeting."

Her relaxed with a sigh. The scales on her faced turned a slightly darker hue of red. "Oh...sorry. Yes, that'd be okay. I'd still like some time alone, if that's okay?"  

[Nova Blancke]

"Sure, I take it you are going to want to wear something when meeting him? Unless you are fine going like that. I'm not judging." Theonis said joking and turned around to leave.

"I'll let you know, alright?"

Helena smiled and nodded, "Some clothes would be nice, thank you. And thanks...for understanding I mean."

Just as he turned around she thought of something. "Oh, and don't blame yourself. There was nothing anyone could have done to save him. He was just too big. You did your best, and I'm sure he knew that."

"I'm not so sure" Theo replied softly as the door closed. He took a deep breath and pulled out his phone. He promised Charles Ray that he'd at least try and set up a meeting. Now that he had succeed he needed to let the man know. Plus having a man like that owe you one could come in handy some day.

"Mister Ray, I have done as you asked. Your daughter agreed to meeting you here. I hope that is satisfactory to you. She asked for some time to think about things. We can agree to meet in 2 to 3 hours if that works for you?"

Charles had to admit that he felt a little better about the meeting now that Helena agreed to it. "That will be just fine."

"How...how is she? I assume she told you it has been the better half of a decade since we last spoke."

Helena sat back on her bunk and rest her elbows against her knees. Meeting her father actually made her more nervous than going on trial for murder.

That's when the creature that had been laying in wait among the shadows struck. Black tendrils whipped out from the shadows beneath the bunk and yanked her off.

Her eyes went wide at the sudden jarring. She didn't have time to call out or put her hands out to stop her descent. She fell hard on her front, her jaw bouncing off of the ground.

Her head was still spinning as the tendrils whipped out again, binding her wings against her body and her mouth shut.

She let out a muffled scream and struggled to pull herself up as more tendrils took hold of her. Her claws dug into the metal, creating a loud screech as she was pulled into the shadows. The claw marks and shreds of metal led to the area under the bunk, where soon there was nothing at all.

A few seconds later the shackles that had been hindering her transformation, as well as her escape, were thrown back into the cell from the shadows in pieces.

"The thing is...man I can't believe I'm saying this...she may not be a demon. There are a lot of things that don't add up. Everything about the way she is dealing with you is completely uncharacteristic of any written account I've come across about her."

Trinity smirked, "Now that's reassuring." She sighed to herself, "I really wanted to help Okami back there but without my power at the time, I was going to end up in the way. Okami told him to get me out of there... I'm sorry I couldn't be much help then."

What Freya said made sense all her behavior as far as she could personally observe, did not have 'personal gain' around it. That seemed to be the main thing about demons. Is Freya right? Are you not a demon? Was that what people called you for lack of any other name?

Freya shrugged, then winced, then smiled. "Meh, it wasn't your fault. I hope you don't mind if I give your boyfriend s**t, though. It wont be serious, I just want to bust his balls a little."

Shade's voice echoed softly as she spoke to Trinity

What I am doesn't have a name. My kind were the first to walk this world at it's creation. Ancient is the word most often used. Gods by others. It wasn't until my brother tainted me with a celestial stone that I started being called things like demon, monster, or succubus.

As it is, Shade is not my true name. It is the name I give to those that have not completed a pact with me. You have heard my true name spoken by that woman we helped earlier. I advise you not to address me by it until you are ready to trust me. Because that name will act as your "signature."

"What!?" Trinity exclaimed and stood in response to what the demon, no, the ancient had revealed to her. The out burst happened just as Freya mentioned busting Theonis' balls. She saw Freya's expression,Trinity rubbed her head "Sorry I meant, her not you… she's definitely not a demon… she's an ancient, which means her brother is probably one too. Is her brother connected to Teshou somehow? Like you were with her?"

"I'm not sure. I want to say yes, but that would be crazy coincidental wouldn't it? The two of us, twins, getting possessed by ancient siblings. Damn, I still can't believe that. My mother told us about a few of them when we were kids. But they weren't supposed to meddle in mortal affairs unless someone had asked for their help and made a pact. What made her go all evil and s**t?"

Shade whispered to Trinity, Freya became distracted, as is usual for her, but I can answer your question. My brother is indeed the one that inhabits the one you call Teshoumaru.

"She didn't give me an exact year but she did imply that it has been quite some time. She is...doing alright with all things considered." Theonis replied. He did not mention Larry. If he finds out his daughter is in jail, he might not be so patient or understanding. " From what I gathered her shedding became a problem. With some help that has been taken care off but as a result she underwent changes. Resembling a dragon more than a lizard but still in humanoid form. Currently she is in isolation because she cannot control her new-found transformation well." He calmly explained.

"I felt it necessary to tell you this. I normally don't give away details about our residents so easily but you have a right to know as her father. If you were up to date and calm about it, there would be less risk of her losing control. I hope you can understand why we put her in isolation."

Trinity thought about what Shade had said about her name earlier. That was what Liv meant by she needed Silhouette, on the one hand she was glad Liv got what she needed. Even though she decided to respect the ancient's wish, another question did come to mind. In regards to your true name, how did Liv come across it? If she learned it from your brother, did something happen to Teshoumaru? I'm pretty sure if he knew the importance of your name he wouldn't go around blurting it out. She rubbed her head as she was having her internal conversation.

"You're, right, they're not supposed to meddle with mortal affairs. However my ancestor, seemed to be an exception. She granted her the power of shadows and a message that resonated with her." She took off her choker and showed Freya the inscription on the back:
"The darker the shadow, the brighter the light."
It was her ancestor's handy work. "She prayed to the shadow goddess to ask why was she given this power, if the prophecy had fortold that she would be the one to bring the light. It was then Shade arrived to answer, but instead came across halucination caused by her brother. He then shoved a 'celestial rock' which now that I think about it, it looked like a meteor... It seems it was since then she was tainted."

A dragon? Charles couldn't help but smirk at the irony of the situation. She had called him something akin to that. A monster that hordes and is never satisfied with what it has.

"I appreciate your being candid, Mister Richards. It pains me to hear that she is experiencing something so taxing."

"While it is terrible that she is in isolation, I must admit that I am a bit relieved by that. As stereotypical as it may sound, I worry about her getting involved with some boy that might take advantage of her nature. Ever since she was small, she tends to become infatuated with people very quickly."
