More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

This time it was Theonis who smirked. A boy? No need to worry about that. Guess he doesn't know yet.

"She made good friends here. Friends who visit her daily. None of them are guys so no need to worry about that. Triniy is also keeping an eye out for her so she is doing fine. Anyway, what time is most suited for you?"

"It will take me about forty-five minutes to get to Valhalla. Taking into account what security measures will no doubt be taken to escort me around the facility, perhaps an hour would suffice?"

One of the guards checked up on Heather when they heard the metal screech, only to find she was gone. The only thing he saw was a pair of shackles, or what was left of it, thrown out into the cell.

"The boss is not going to be happy about this...." The guard cursed to himself.

Theonis nodded to himself.

"Yes, Gidget was quite adamant about that. Which is understandable.An hour is fine. It should give Heath- sorry, Helena enough time to get ready. I will let her know. I will see you then." Theo ended the call. Without being away of it he was pacing during his call. He tended to do that when he was on the phone. Last time he was on a long call while not in his office he had walked quite a distance.

Quickly he returned to Helena to inform her of the exact time. But by now both of the guards were gone from their post.

Please tell me nothing happened

He ran inside to see both of the guards inside of the empty cell. Empty?s**t!

"Sir, I just got here when I heard a noise after you left. What's left of the cuffs were spit out from underneath the bench. She ain't here. Claw marks indicate she was dragged underneath the bench" One of the guards told Theo during his salute.

"Goddamnit! Can't have one month if peace around here!" Theonis cursed and speed dialed Trinity. Was that Shadow Elemental not dead? Did something else drag her into the shadow world?

"Trinity! Drop what you're doing and get into the shadow world right now! Heather has been taken by something. Find her!" He hung up. There was no time to congratulate her and celebrate her regained power.

He dialed Gidget next.

"Please tell me you have some kind of radar for Meta's. Anything. Heather has just been taken into the shadows by something."

Trinity thought about what Shade had said about her name earlier. That was what Liv meant by she needed Silhouette, on the one hand she was glad Liv got what she needed. Even though she decided to respect the ancient's wish, another question did come to mind. In regards to your true name, how did Liv come across it? If she learned it from your brother, did something happen to Teshoumaru? I'm pretty sure if he knew the importance of your name he wouldn't go around blurting it out. She rubbed her head as she was having her internal conversation.

"You're, right, they're not supposed to meddle with mortal affairs. However my ancestor, seemed to be an exception. She granted her the power of shadows and a message that resonated with her." She took off her choker and showed Freya the inscription on the back:
"The darker the shadow, the brighter the light."
It was her ancestor's handy work. "She prayed to the shadow goddess to ask why was she given this power, if the prophecy had fortold that she would be the one to bring the light. It was then Shade arrived to answer, but instead came across halucination caused by her brother. He then shoved a 'celestial rock' which now that I think about it, it looked like a meteor... It seems it was since then she was tainted."

Did I get that right?

He probably did not take into account that the woman called Liv would seek my aid. If he is anything like he was, he attempted to put her in a dire situation that only he could remedy.

As far as Teshoumaru goes...I am afraid that if my brother is free, then your teacher is either lost to him, or he has allied with my brother.

Shade then went silent for a moment at Trinity's last question. Wait...are you saying that you believe me?

Freya huffed in exhaustion. "Damn. That is nuts. This whole thing is crazy. Your ancestor was a story our mother told us. Old Trinity's triumph over the deceitful shadow beast was my favorite."

"The whole time, for the last few decades, that shadow beast was in me. And now she is in you...and not a beast at all."

He dialed Gidget next.

"Please tell me you have some kind of radar for Meta's. Anything. Heather has just been taken into the shadows by something."

One line rang continued to ring for Ako. Gidget huffed in frustration. She didn't mind if there wasn't a pick up on the first ring or so, but it had been several minutes now. He sure was taking his sweet time on the crapper.

Another line opened up. It was Theonis. Before she had a chance to greet him he blurted out his situation.

Gidget almost dropped her soldering iron in shock. "What?!"

She quickly swiveled around in her chair and faced the receiver.

"That's, I mean, there isn't, unless. Dangit! No, I don't have a radar for metas. Not one that can locate specific people at least. If it was another person with Trinity's power, Heather could be anywhere in the world by now."

"Was it an escape? If she leaves the cell with those shackles on, shackles that only Cassandra would be able to break with bare hands, then we have a way of tracking her. She would also be in a great deal of pain."

"Shackles were spat out as the guards describe it. I've already sent Trinity after her. Maybe she'd have better luck.I don't think it was an escape. More like an abduction. s**t, she just agreed to meeting Ray. Which also in an hour! "

Theo cupped his face in frustration." Goddamnit, knew a month of quiet peace was too good to be true..."he started mumbling to himself for a bit before blurting it out as his mind raced.' Alexavier! He should be able to track her! Okay..I'll keep you updated. Any other ideas?."

"Just one thing. Under no circumstances should you lie to Charles Ray. I know you are probably going to be honest with him, but just in case the idea popped into your head I thought it best to warn you against it. He's dangerous, but reasonable. Just tell him the truth, and he might even offer his own resources to assist in finding Heather."

I'm beginning to…things are beginning to line up and make more sense. At this rate, at the end of the day I may consider taking your offer. I just want to let Theonis know first, so he knows what's going on with me.

If you're right about Teshoumaru and your brother, I might have quite the challenge ahead of me. Should I tell her? We don't know what exactly is going on, it may be best to find out first then tell her what's going on… with my power back it should not be an issue.


She snapped out of it as Freya responded. "Yeah look at us, carriers of legends huh? Here I thought I would be hosting her temporarily but, now I'm not sure. One thing is for certain, you've got to get better soon. Could use a wild girl's night out like we used to. Teshou would get so mad at how early in the morning we'd get back, ha ha, remember???"

At that point her phone rang and it was Theonis' ring tone which sounded like the tune "High Voltage". "Excuse me" she answered the phone but before she even said 'hello' all she heard was Theonis ordering her to go to the Shadow Realm. Before she could reply he hung up. She narrowed her eyes in thought. On the one hand she was glad she wasn't getting special treatment, on the other hand that was rude no matter who answered. At that rate send a text. She turned toward Freya, "Looks like something has come up. It seams Heather may have been dragged down to the Shadow Realm." She smirked at her and said, "Make sure you bust his balls real good." With a wink of her eye she walked into the dark corner and entered the Shadow Realm.

Who could behind all of this? It could be your brother… but where's the motive, I guess it would be chaotic to unleash a dragon somewhere. Liv swore off using her shadow power. But would she use it to save Heather? They seemed close. Does she think she's saving Heather by doing this? It would make matters worse. Now Heather would have to stand trial for murder, and attempted escape. There's at least two suspects for now.

She arrived where Heather's cell was and could see what Theonis saw just. Negative version from the Shadow realm. She saw the claw marks shown brightly and the shackles. She took a close look at the direction where they lay, away from the bench. She started looking at the direction of where they were coming from to try to find a trail. She kept her ears opened to see if she could hear anything.

Shade studied the situation from Trinity's eyes. She thought aloud for the benefit of her host.

It looks like she struggled. Also, if you look at the bracers they aren't just broken, they are cut. Your teacher is skilled in the blade, is he not?

From the darkness of the shadow realm appeared a pair of eyes that actually seemed darker than the shadows themselves, and a Cheshire grin rowed with jagged teeth. The disembodied face was three times the size of Trinity, and it seemed close enough to swallow her in one go.

It's voice was similar to Shade's when she was a writhing mass of nothing.

"Hello little shadow. Did you lose something?"

"Guess I didn't lie completely so far. He doesn't know the entire reason of why Heather was jail. I figured he wouldn't have been able to wait if I told him she was in jail for murder." Theo replied.

Now where was that guy when you needed him? Usually he hangs around Annie but even she has been scarcely spotted over the last month.

Her eyes narrowed, she took a defensive stance, "Dusk, what have you done to Teshoumoru?! Where's Heather?!"

Damien was staring right into the eyes of the man Theonis was looking for. At that moment, he was attempting to probe Alexavier's mind while simultaneously keeping a mental barrier up to keep the man out. It was one of the few things he could do in the facility that felt like a challenge.

The last month had been a literal learning experience for the boy. He had spent countless hour pouring through books, computers, television documentaries, and various other forms of media to fill his mind with as much knowledge as possible. He wasn't sure why, but he felt drawn to do so.

He had also kept up his routine of helping Metas fully develop their powers. Some were easier than others, but they usually returned grateful.

His origin as a spawn of Legion had also caused him to age rapidly. He had gone from looking five-ish to about ten to eleven-ish.

Now he was having some fun. He felt a glimmer of something in the corner of his mind. In an attempt to jokingly distract Alexavier he said, "Someone is coming, and I think he wants to speak with you."

"D'aw. Must we get down to business so quickly? I was hoping you could get to know me a little better. After all, I've spent the last thirteen years learning everything I can about you."

"Do not allow him to get into your head, Trinity. My brother revels in discord and madness."

The smile widened slightly as he noticed Trinity's momentary distraction. "Was that my sister speaking to you just now? You must be even more naive than I thought to listen a being built for devouring all life."

Shade felt herself seethe with anger at Dusk's words. "b*****d!"

Dusk chuckled, "Heh, your dragon friend is unharmed. I am simply borrowing her for a very troublesome task. Thanks to your friend, the Grand Master of the Soichi clan wont live to see the sunset."

Kerana

Meanwhile Kerana, Deora, and Liv went to visit Alec. Things were set back a bit since the last time he got out of bed to help Heather. They made a quick stop at their dorm to pick up some left over cookies. "Hiya Alec, how are you feeling today? We brought some goodies for yah, see?" She blushed a little, for some reason she felt a little nervous about visiting her boyfriend in front of Liv. There was no doubt she would tease her about it.

Alec was looking much better since a month ago. He was only as pale as his complexion allowed him to be, and he had a healthy weight about him. His hair was even cut in a manner that didn't allow him to hide behind it anymore (though it was still long).

His physical therapy had just ended for the day, and he felt a little haggard as a result. His constitution had never been good, and having to re-learn how to walk was proving an especially difficult challenge for him.

In spite of all that, he always put on a brave face when Kerana came to visit him. She had that effect on him.

"I'm exhausted," he sighed. "but other than that I can't really complain."

He took a cookie from the tray before noticing that there was someone new in the room. Liv was a bit too sculpted to his liking, so there was no apparent attraction coming from him.

"Who's your new friend, Kay?"
