"Maybe that bond is between all of us who came out of Legion. Who knows? I ain't telling Cass so that's up to you kid." He wasn't going to risk her wrath.

Damien studied his surrogate father for a moment longer before scooting out of his chair and walking to a quiet corner to be by himself. It didn't take him long to find the other.

"Salutations." He mentally projected for lack of a better introduction.

"We haven't been properly introduced. What should I call you? Surely after a month you have settled on a name."

"A name has no meaning to me.What is the purpose of having a name? Self identification? Is it simply used to refer to an object or person? I fail to see the meaning of naming myself. I simply....am. Call me whatever you want." A loud voice responded like an echo in Damian's mind.

"Purpose. Why do you seek me out? Is there something you can gain by introducing yourself?"

Kerana bit her lip as the vision ensued, she was glad that he was alright after receiving his vision. "Looks like you were able to handle it better this time" she said with a smile. "I guess it is a good thing I'm not going and I guess it's something Trinity and Liv won't seem to have any trouble with huh? Though I take it that is how they're controlling Heather. But if they're coming home okay, there shouldn't be anything to worry about,right?"

She decided to take a bite of one of the cookies she brought for him.

Alec bit his lip as he thought about that.

"A lot of people are going to die on that island. Not to mention the people who are going to be affected by the tidal wave that comes from that enormous chunk of rock hitting the ocean. I think we need to warn people. As likely as it is for our friends to come back, it is just as likely that the island in the sky will plummet into the ocean below."

Trinity blushed at his reaction about her appearance, she should have expected that since stories of her ancestor had such an impact on Freya and Teshoumaru. She wondered briefly if everyone on this island would react the same way. She calmed herself and cleared her throat, "I'm Trinity Smith, descendant of the original, at your service." then bowed a little.

"There isn't much time. We've come here because the Queen and all of the Soichi clan are in danger. We need to speak to her of what we know."

Cale shook his disbelief quickly as soon as he heard what Trinity had to say.

"That can be arranged, but I am afraid there are rules regarding outsiders. Even those of a legendary pedigree, or family of royalty," he said with a sideways look to Freya. "Must be subject to our laws."

He then brought his gaze upon Liv and motioned to her. "Especially since that one is a power leach with a similar ability to mine. She's still able to use whatever power she got from the people she siphoned from."

Freya clapped her hands together excitedly. "Holy s**t, I almost forgot that's how your power works!"

She spun around and explained, "He cancels out powers by 'reading' a person's ability and projecting a field that acts sort of like two like poles on a magnet being brought to each other. So he essentially pushes the power back into you until it can't come out anymore."

She turned back around and asked excitedly, "What's my power?! I only just came into contact with a meteor and don't know what it is yet."

He proudly stated, "You have three auras. One is melee based, another defense, and the last medium to long range offensive."

"Damn, I guess she's become even more dangerous then." said a man that had just entered with an entourage of finely adorned guards. The man looked to be a dark skinned, feline-esque humanoid in his mid fifties and slim with long, raven and silver hair that was tied into a pony tail. His regalia suggested he was in charge. A pair of hand guns was attached to both his torso and hips. Swishing behind him was a tail that was as dark as his hair was in his youth.

Freya's ears dropped slightly in disgust. She always hated cats. "Girls, this is Adam Crescent. My brother in law, captain of the guard, and would be king if he wasn't a habitual lazy a**."

Adam smirked and looked at the two outsiders. He gave them a half salute/ tip of the hat and said, "Ladies."

Damien was not phased by the echo in his mind. It paled in comparison to the roar of minds the first week of his life.

"Satiation. The man I once was hungered for knowledge to an almost obsessive degree. It would seem that is one trait I have inherited."

"I want to know who, and what you are. I want to know what it is you plan to do. I want to know because I believe that I understand what we are. And what I believe you are concerns me."

"Intrigued. What are we? I am aware of my origin. I am aware of the intent of my origin. Hunger. It is what drove Legion. Confirmation. I do not share that trait." The voice responded.

"Uncertain. Is what my path is. I have yet to find it. Decision. The world is at stake. Do I allow for mankind to live and support those that wish to prosper? Extermination. Do I end all of man and it's creations in order to start anew? The being responded. Giving a short pause between sentences."

"I create a absolute barrier that nulls all powers. And I ain't lowering it. If Dusk arrives I need to respond right away without waiting for you to get permission." Liv responded and crossed her legs. That man's power was interesting. She had always wondered what happened if she absorbed a similar power. Would she be able to 'upgrade' the other or would it simply add the effects to the original?

Liv gave a nod to the newcomer. A more graceful one than she intended. He wasn't too bad looking. In an older man kind of way.

Ako couldn't hear the ringing of his phone, but he couldn't ignore the buzzing vibration coming from the front pocket of his jeans. Even with the rumbling thunder of the bike beneath him, it was distracting. He would have answered her, but that would require either taking a hand off the handlebars at speed to fish the phone out, or just pulling over. He was too busy maneuvering around the turns and traffic of the city's outskirts, in pursuit of a problem he should have taken care of much sooner.

The thunder of the Harley was competing with the roar of the Mustang as their drivers battled through the streets. The driver of the muscle car still sported his punk spikes, though a few were shorter or missing, the bare scalp covered in road rash scars. He'd gotten a newer Mustang, but it seemed as though he still remembered Ako and their highway battle months before. Ako had assumed the man died. His first clue that he was wrong came when the muscle car tried to run him off the road. Again.

Ako had tried to avoid confrontation, as before, but every time he tried to stop, the punk would try to run him over. He had no choice but to lead the car on a chase through the cities outskirts and suburbs. He though he would have to go on the attack the way he did last time, but his frequent rides around the area gave him a new advantage.

It didn't take him long to lose the punk after a series of random turns and a little new-found patience. After an hour of sitting in a parking garage with no sign of the punk or his Mustang, he finally remembered to return Gidget's call. He felt bad to keep her waiting, but it couldn't be helped. He decided to enjoy the air of the open garage, and after removing his helmet and taking a few deep breaths to calm his nerves, he started walking around the top level as he placed the call.

Trinity took a brief moment to look at her smartphone and saw nothing new came in. She shrugged it off and thought to herself No news is good news I guess… She put it away and heard what possible power Freya may have. Though it was great to hear that she had power but it was still unclear what exactly that power entails. Then Adam Crescent made his entrance he was handsome for a man his age.

"And there they go" Theo simply said at the much emptier room." Guess I gotta prepare for Charles's s**t storm."

Not even a breath after Theonis said those words, he received a message on his phone.

"Sir, Charles Ray is waiting in your office for you. He said he has an appointment. He's alone and waiting for you in front of your office. We have him under surveillance."

Damien had thought as much. It was quite a dilemma. In his studies he had found a great deal that supported the notion of wiping out humanity and letting nature sorting out. But at the same time there was much to be appreciated about mankind's accomplishments.

"We are something that shouldn't exist in this world. Shane Morris was immune to outside exposure of meteor radiation for a reason. That reason was because his source was too dangerous to be unlocked. The organization called Daedalus brought something into this world that was sealed away. I have yet to discern who or what did the sealing, but the power that would manifest itself as Legion wasn't meant to exist."

"We are an anomaly. We the remnants of the man I was, the people I call my parents, and Legion. The only difference between us is our primary influence. Despite this, we are our own beings. We're free to adhere or stray from what we know of our past selves."

"There we go... warning sent. Hopefully she can figure out something." Kerana grew worried about the situation... by the sound of it all it seemed like the end of the world was coming to that island.

Alec sighed with some exhaustion. He rolled his head over toward Deora and asked, "I'm sorry, all this excitement and we've barely spoken. How have things been for you over the last month?"

The Count of Monte Carlo

It didn't take him long to lose the punk after a series of random turns and a little new-found patience. After an hour of sitting in a parking garage with no sign of the punk or his Mustang, he finally remembered to return Gidget's call. He felt bad to keep her waiting, but it couldn't be helped. Rather than make the call through his helmet, he decided to enjoy the air of the open garage. After removing his helmet and taking a few deep breaths to calm his nerves, he placed the call.

The phone button on Gidget's main console was lighting up and buzzing. She hopped with surprise at the sudden noise intrusion so shortly after such a dangerous mission was put underway.

"Finally! Excuse me, Theonis. That's probably Ako returning my calls."

She bowed her head slightly to Trinity's beau and strode over to the console. A press of the flashing button and she was speaking to her own beau.

"Hey you. I was starting to think you'd...is that wind? Are you outside? When did you leave? Why did you leave without letting me know you were leaving?!"

Veran cleared his throat to catch Adam's attention.

"Sir, Freya claims to have brought the outsiders under dire circumstances. They request audience with the queen."

Adam's lynx like ears (which were situated more to the side of his head like a human than on top like so many other animal metas) twitched as he arched his brow at Freya.

"Izzat so? Well then, I suppose we don't have time to waste then. Follow me, and I'll take you to see Kaelonni myself."

He waved a dismissive hand to his escort. They snapped to attention and excused themselves.

"Veran, you g'head and stay here. Freya vouches for these girls, and that's good 'nuff for me."

The elf sputtered at first before he blurted out, "Sir, that is unacceptable! You know the laws. You cannot just throw them out because they are inconvenient."

Freya instinctively took a few step away from Veran. She knew from experience that there was only one person that told Adam Crescent what to do.

The pleasant smile on Adam's face shifted to something a bit more threatening. He was still smiling, but it was the sort of smile that made the fur on Freya's ears and tails stand on end.

"You know how much I hate to repeat myself, Cale. Do I really have to remind you of my feelings about being told how to do my job?"

Veran swallowed hard, shook his head, and rubbed his left hand protectively. There was a prominent scar in the center of his hand that looked like it had been opened and healed on multiple occasions.

Freya gave an impressed whistle as she noticed something about else about the scar.

"Your dead eye hasn't rusted a bit. That scar is nearly a perfect circle."

Adam shrugged nonchalantly. "Meh, it would be if I hadn't had a few to many ale's one night. Now c'mon. I'm sure she's heard about your arrival by now. We shouldn't keep your sister waiting."

Adam lead them through a few corridors before arriving at what appeared to be an ornate subway car made from various precious metals and stones.

He turned toward the newcomers and asked, "Do either of you get motion sick? This railway goes pretty fast, and the sensation can be sorta jarring."

"Agreed.My experience comes from those before me. From the men and women who have lived long and are reaching their end. They provide me with life experience and information. Question. If something was not supposed to exist but does, does it have purpose or does it live outside of purpose?"

Liv nodded a bit more cheerful. She always did like it when stiff people were put in their place." Well I am starting to warm up to you now."

"I don't get motion sick so that's fine."

"Speak of the fear devil....."Theonis sighed before steeling up. At times like this he wished he didn't take the job. But now he had to work with what he had. No complaining now. He wrote a quick reply about being on his way.

It didn't take him long to reach his office. Before reaching it he straightened his tie a bit. He knew this was important and that he still does not have enough experience with it. He took a deep breath and entered.

"I hope you I haven't kept you waiting for too long" Theonis started out as a greeting." This place can be quite the maze." He shook his hand and introduced himself." There are a few things that we need to discuss beforehand." He motioned to his office.
