The blood she drank was one thing, but a vampires blood just made her sick. Nimia sat Skylar down as she becamse nauseated. She felt as if she might faint from all the blood.

She opened the door to her old house, yet it looked so from the two months she had been gone. She heard a shout, and followed it. She almost didn't recognize it, she had never heard her dad shout. The room she found him in had beer bottles littered all over, and various drugs spilled into the carpet. Her mom kneeled on the floor, crying. "Mom!" she shouted, but didn't move, couldn't. Her dad had looked at her with a fierce stare, stopping her in her tracks. He was obviously drunk.
