Liv was quiet for a moment. She had to think about it.

"When you die...so do the eyes, unless I drain you completely. They still are stil lost afterwards if I drain you partially. I can't guaranty that I can give them to your daughter. But taking all of it would at least ensure all of that isn't lost...." Liv began to speak. Again mostly to herself.

"I just....don't know what the rest would think of it. Strangers come in unannounced, their Queen dies in the end and a took her eyes."

"My people will be none the wiser. I can assure that you will be safe so long as none of them look you directly in the eyes if you use the eleilya."

"My daughter will most likely be incredibly upset at first, but she will come to understand what had to be done."

The Queen became silent for a moment as the thought of her daughter's despair sank in. Her eyes began to water. She wiped away the tears as daintily as she could manage.

"May I ask one last favor? It's for Rydia, my daughter."

She moved over to Carak and started to secure some light armor to him as she spoke.

Recordsth portray her asth wicked and dectheifing. If Carak isthn't riled up, then sthomthing about her hasth changed. It could be your influencthe."

"She's right. You're the first one since my fall that has brought me out of the madness."

Things were lining up again. Freya had said something similar to what Rydia was telling her now. "There was something Dusk said... he referred to her as 'a being built for devouring all life'..." Now that she thought about it... the kiss with Liv, that was probably how she would do it. She would have probably taken her life as well if she kept going, yet she stopped. "Is that still the case even though she resides in me?"

Another thought occurred to her if that were the case. Would it be possible for Shade to devour her brother but leave Teshoumaru alive?

She pet Carak's head before standing up and facing Trinity.

"If you have sthomehow returned Shade to a sthate before she became a monsther parentsth would sthcare their children with, then she could theoretically gif you power you'fe only efer dreamed of."

Shade couldn't help but snicker internally. I'm sorry, but her lisp is killing me. She's right, but she's also difficult to listen to without laughing.

This time it was Liv's turn to comfort the other. She gave the queen a hug.

"Anything."

The Queen gently squeezed Liv and closed her eyes. A few tears dropped onto Liv's scalp.

"She's young, and knows only what history books, and I, tell of the world below. I also suspect that she may be like you in terms of her romantic interests. There are those that would take advantage of that and her naive nature."

"I guess what I'm asking is, could you please look after my little miracle?"

Did....she just ask her to take care of her kid as well?

"I....assume you mean...take her with me? How um...old is she? Cuz this is...em...Wouldn't...Trinity be a better choice? I assume she also fights and all that?"

"Oh...yes. She's thirty four in human years, but she has the mental maturity and appearance of an eighteen or nineteen year old."

"She's perfectly capable of defending herself. She just needs a guide to the world below. Trinity has't experienced the darker side of it as you have. That's why I'm asking you."

There was an actual sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god. Sorry but for a minute I thought you'd give me a little kid to raise. Yeah, I can do that. I'll look after her." Liv let go of the hug." I'd have to beat the suitors off of her I guess if she has your looks."

The Queen chuckled while covering her mouth. Partly due to Liv's reaction. The other part had to do with the big sister attitude she had already taken.

"She does. She has my looks and her father's dark skin. She has the tendency to turn the heads of men and women alike. Adam had guards accompanying her around the clock until she beat the guards themselves senseless."

She took a deep breath and wiped her eyes once more. "Thank you, Liv. I can rest easy knowing she'll be looked after."

She reached her hands out to Liv, palms up.

"It's time. Are you ready?"

"Feels like I'm the one getting a bodyguard now."

Liv placed her own palm on hers."Yeah, let's."

As opposed to the normal cold feeling of the drain this felt ...warm as it did with that child. It seems that if they willingly allow the drain it feels better for both. The drain didn't last long but it never does. She felt the same rush.....sensation of a new power. Briefly her pupils became the familiar infinity symbol before turning into her normal pupils again.

In that moment Liv's eyes took on the shape of the Eleilya her mind was flooded by a series of memories belonging to an ancient called Anima. They spoke a long dead language in the memory. As close as the memories were to telling a complete story, there were still pieces missing.

The Queen stumbled back, but managed to steady herself before sitting back in a chair. She breathed a bit heavier, and struggled to keep her eyes open.

"There, it's done. When I first obtained the eyes I only caught glimpses of a world that wasn't ours. No words or sounds, only still images. What did you see?" she asked eagerly.

Something about The Great Wolf Mother and her deal with the wolf-kin and fox-kin sounded familiar. Was it something mentioned by Freya and Teshoumaru? No she had no memory of them speaking about this, yet it seemed familiar…perhaps it had something to do with her ancestral connection.

Shade had a point but Trinity thought it best to keep that comment to herself. But back to the matter at hand. Give you power you've only dreamed of?. This could only mean one thing, she had to complete the synthesis. With a battle coming up with an ancient she had to have all the help she could get. She let out a sigh, there was no other way to go about it. If the succubus shows up she'd only make matters worse.

"Thank you Rydia, I think you've answer all of my questions. There's something I've got to do. Is there a good place for meditation?"
