More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Heather was commanded to bank to one side and take the brunt of the laser blasts. She roared in pain as she was burned across her body and her wings were pierced. But she was not allowed to slow down or descend. The beast master wouldn't let her react to the pain outside of her roars.

Dusk whistled and looked over the side to see the lasers soon accompanied by various elemental blasts. He figured the lasers could only come from one person.

He looked over his shoulder and shouted, "Grim, Theresa, we could use more troops on the ground."

A rasping laugh rattled from the throat of the one called Grim. He and Theresa leaped off Heather and plummeted downward. He reached into a pouch off of his hip and emptied it's contents into the air. The substance that appeared to be dust gathered and decelerated their fall as they landed in the midst of the demolished shop district. He began to chant.

It was slow at first, but the dead that were still mostly intact began to shamble themselves upright. The freshly deceased men, women, and children hissed and groaned as they were made into the undead.

Theresa wasted no time. Her right arm morphed into solid metal. A moment later there was a serious of clinks and clanks as her arm shifted at and turned like a Transformer. In less than five seconds her arm had become an abstract rifle from the elbow down.

She raised her arm and began to shoot at anyone that was alive and within range of her literal fire arm. The projectiles being ejected weren't bullets, but actual chunks of stone that caused maximum damage.

The guards that had been rushing into the district to assist the citizens scattered under the assault of high velocity rocks. They were further disturbed by their own people being brought back from the dead.

To make matters worse, anyone that had been mowed down by Theresa was quickly made into the undead, adding to the number of shambling corpses that were converging on the guards.

Liv heard Heather roar. Sorry girl...

Two of the people leaped off of the Dragon. One of them seemed to turn her arm into a weirdass rifle and the other......created ******** zombies? ******** zombies?! "Come on, I know this stopped making sense a while ago but zombies?! Gross!" Liv orbs circled around her taking down whatever zombie was near her. She's seen enough zombie-flicks to know how to take em down. Just like all zombies. Their heads.

But Heather was still flying around. That must mean that the beast master is still on there with Eclipse. Liv didn't care about the men getting slaughtered by the gun wielding woman. She assumed it was a girl because of the pigtails. In a flash she was gone and reappeared on Heathers back with Eclipse and the Beastmaster. She leaped at the person fully intending to drain him completely. That would release their control over the beast people.

Sill called out to Trinity. "We can leave them here. If you cut yourself a little bit, the blood can expand and keep a bubble around them so they wont die in the toxic environment."

Trinity bit her lip as Freya pointed out that they would still be affected by the beast master. She bit her lip more so as she reminded her that there was still a barrier in place with the shadows of the island. This may have slipt her mind since she was so focused on protecting them. It looked like the beast master was beginning to affect them.

As Sillouette maid her suggestion she followed it. Cutting her hand she let the blood expand and surround them in a bubble, "This will protect you while I'm away." She wasn't sure if they were able to understand her but as long as they were protected she needed to get back to the chaos above.

As she neared the surface, she saw people's shadows constantly on the move. She figured that Liv was focused on Heather she should focus on what's on the ground. She needed to get a better view of what was going on. She emerged at a high point from building that was partially standing and that happen to have a window. It was dark enough for the average person to not see her. She saw zombies? They had pointy ears, they were from here… zombies, they were basically undead. This for some reason was strangely familiar but the strange part is that she really had not faced anything like this before… but hopefully things would work like the movies and could be killed with chopping off their heads. In there were bullets coming from a girl with a gun for an arm and a mask. There was someone else with a mask, perhaps the one who summoned the zombies.

She wanted to check with Sill on something, Are zombies innocent? Considering all she went through to become whole again, she wanted to ensure that was taken away by killing something.

After getting her answer, she used her shadow to make all the zombies stick in their place as well as enable them from using their mouths by also making the shadow in their mouth solid. The zombies couldn't open or close their mouths further. Hopefully whoever they were holding were able to escape before turning, since they were able to pull away from them, for to them it was only shadow. She caused the bullets in the gun to go through a shadow holes and had a hole aimed for her am for the bullet to fall through. This was a first big move but she had to try to get the civilians to safety.

She called out to the troops she could see through shadows, it seemed like the voice was in their head. "This is Trinity Smith, I can't hold these things for long so you need to act fast. Secure the civilians and defend them."

As they took action Trinity appeared behind the two in the middle of all the action. She called out to the two,"Is this a private party or can anyone join?" She held her grip as long as she could, but let go when she made her appearance, hopefully the area was clear. She drew her glaive.

But Heather was still flying around. That must mean that the beast master is still on there with Eclipse. Liv didn't care about the men getting slaughtered by the gun wielding woman. The beastmaster's eyes went wide as he tried to scramble away from Liv. He was relieved when Dusk's contingency intercepted her attempt to attack him.

A blinding light flashed between Liv and the beastmaster. It took shape and grabbed at Liv's wrists. Soon it was apparent what it was. It was another zombie, but this time it was high functioning and easily recognizable to anyone that knew her when she was alive.

Dusk wagged his finger at Liv.

"Tsk tsk. You went and got purified. And I figure that was you firing lasers at us just a moment ago. Here I thought you were a team player."

"But I'm not one to be bitter. I've even arranged something special for you. It took some doing to accomplish, but Grim is quite talented when it comes to these things. He even aged her a little bit without wrecking her corpse."

The zombie looked up at Liv with dead, furious eyes through filthy blonde hair. Her skin was intact, and nearly in perfect condition if you ignored the pallor of death.

"Surely you remember your sister, don't you Liv? The one you murdered?"

Liv was too taken aback to respond to Dusk's commentary. She could only watch as the light took form and became someone Liv very well knew. One that Liv tried so hard to forget. Her heart was pounding, she was breathing fast. Her eyes locked with that of her dead sister. No matter what she tried she couldn't peel them away from her! Not from that gaze.

Despair.

That was the only accurate description you could give her face right now. For a moment she wasn't the confident sexy women that did whatever she pleased. That moment she became a scared little girl afraid of her big sister.

The zombie grit her teeth and backhanded her little sister with a glowing hand. She then blinked them to the arts district of the city, causing the already fleeing citizens to go into a further panic.

She tossed her sister aside and hissed, "Oliviiiia."

The zombie's hand's clenched hard enough to draw black, rotten blood before glowing brightly again.

Dusk sighed with deep satisfaction. He looked to the beastmaster and asked, "Would you be so kind as to hover over the residential district for a moment? It's right over there."

The beastmaster nodded and commanded Heather to fly toward the residential area. She beats her wings and hovered in place while taking everything that was still being thrown at her. Her tears kept falling with pain, frustration, and anguish.

Dusk walked off Heather and plummeted to the ground. He landed hard on his feet and created a small crater in the stone beneath him within Heather's shadow.

With that same smirk, he raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.


From Heather's shadow flowed a battalion of Daedalus soldiers. They immediately began to open fire with their standard issue pulse rifles.

The guards were the first to be targeted. The one's carrying halberds and swords were quickly killed. The special forces trained by Adam in the use of firearms took cover and began to return fire.

Surprisingly, the Elfin soldiers seemed able to hold their own against the superior numbers of the Daedalus troops. That is until Dusk decided to enter the fray and do what a ninja does best. Kill.

As they took action Trinity appeared behind the two in the middle of all the action. She called out to the two,"Is this a private party or can anyone join?" She held her grip as long as she could, but let go when she made her appearance, hopefully the area was clear. She drew her glaive.

"The undead are nothing more than husks. If there is anything remaining of the spirit, they are in pain. It would be a mercy to put them down."

The one called Grim stopped chanting, but the zombies kept moving. It simply stopped the creation of new zombies.

The eyes behind the mask arched along with his wide smile. "You." he growled.

"Dusk certainly makes good on his promises. Here you are...just like he said." he chuckled, then laughed heartily. The laugh soon melted into a mad cackle. The mask no longer muffled his laugh, but instead threw each and every spiking sound at Trinity.

The dust from earlier gathered and converged into a bone pike that Grim took into his hand. The rest of it became dozens of razor sharp teeth that flew at Trinity like little white bullets.

Theresa whipped her arm around and adjusted the configuration of her rifle arm into something with a bit more power behind it. She had been ordered to create corpses for Grim, and to engage anyone that may try to disrupt or kill him.

She was force to take a knee in order to compensate for the additional recoil from what was now the equivalent of an anti tank rifle. She opened fire at a steady pace as soon as Grim's "teeth" made their attack.

The not so sudden pain was enough to snap her out of it. When they reappeared in the arts district she tossed back a bit. How....how could they....Liv was still taking it all in. But this....this.

"Don't...don't call me that! You're not real!"

The zombie slowly approached Liv and fired focused light bolts at her while it spoke.

"I'm real. You made this happen. You bashed my head in with a rock, Olivia."

"My own sister. I loved you. I loved you and you KILLED ME!" she bellowed.

She cried out in rage as she raised her hands above her head and focused the light between her palms. She threw the ball of light she had gathered at Liv like an iridescent dodge ball.

Normally Liv was level headed enough to know she could cancel everything out. But she wasn't in the right set of mind. All she could do was try and dodge.

"And I loved you! I never meant for it to happen!" Liv yelled back as she sought cover. "You have to believe me! I never wanted it to happen!"

"LIAR!" she shrieked.

"I remember the look in your eyes. I remember the hate. You were waiting for any chance, any excuse, any way to do it."

"Then there was darkness. A cold, awful darkness. I DIED, Olivia. You have no idea what that's like."

She put both of her arms out in front of her and started to gather a sparking orb of light in front of her hands. She leveled the growing ball at her sister and spit, "But I'll show you. I'll show you what it's like to die, OLIV-AUGH!"

The orb disintegrated as a gaping hole was blown out of her chest, just missing her heart. Adam's special forces had arrived to deal with the residential threat. The soldiers charged in to face down the zombie.

The zombie hissed again and turned her back to Liv. Something was in her chest cavity, writhing around as thought trying to get a grip on something.

The zombie began to glow brightly and growl. She threw her arms up and out, shouting at the top of her lungs. A dome of light worked it's way out from her in all directions, evaporating everything it touched. It was her rage made manifest.

She was right. There was no denying it. At that moment she did snap and just lashed out. Even her name represented the light. She even got that power! Dawn and Olivia. It would have been better if Liv got Shadow or Darkness instead seeing as how she always lived in her sisters shadow. But she never truly wanted her dead. Kids say stuff like that without knowing what it means.
Her state of mind changed. She killed her sister. She had accepted that and lived with it all her life. She doesn't know the pain of the one that lived!

Her train of thought was interrupted just as her sister was. Liv knew her sister would never do anything like it. As bright as she used to shine when she lived, she knew she wouldn't snap like this. She'd kill everyone around her if this kept up. Tears began to roll down her face. No, she wouldn't let her sister become the same killer she was.

"I'm sorry sis. Forgive me." She ran at the dome fully enveloping herself in her cancellation field. The younger sister leaped at her older sister and threw her arms around her, fully enveloping her sister as well with that same field. If it truly was a field that canceled out all meta powers it would stop her. And perhaps...even lay her to rest once more.
