More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

The woman looked at the entrance." Guess it's time to kill me an ancient. If I see your wife. You getting shot by a grunt will be our little secret." She dissappeared with that red flash only to reappear deeper within the palace. She had no idea where Dusk could be.

Trinity quirked an eyebrow as she clarified her question. "You mean you don't recognize her?" As Freya shook her head once more. "She's Sillouette, the ancient that you and I have been hosting. I finally decided to complete the sythesis... and it looks as though by doing that returned her to her original state, sort of speak."

She looked up, "That Necromancer or whatever is still up there. We need to get back up there and finish him."

Freya put her hands up and waved them around. "Well excuse me for only experiencing her as a crazy tentacle smoke ball. I guess I'm the idiot here."

To which Sill responded, "I'm inclined to agree. About you being an idiot, I mean."

Freya pointed at Sill and growled, "Don't you sass me. You've got a body now. I can totally kick you a**."

Freya looked out to the fallen shooter and the increasing number of zombies.

"Rydia is taking care of the undead. right now. You two should be enough for the dead man now that his little sniper is down. Oh, and check this s**t out."

She put her feet shoulder width apart and pounded her knuckles together. Her body erupted in a golden aura that actually caused her hair to act as though a strong breeze blew by.

"I figured out how to get it to work. Well, this part at least. I haven't quite figured out the defense or long distance one. Anyway, see you topside."

She waved at Sill and Trinity before hopping through the shadow she knocked the shooter though. She came out swinging, literally. Every blow to a zombie, whether it be her hands or feet, was punctuated by a blast that blew them apart on ******** yea!" she exclaimed with great joy.

Sill shook her head and looked to Trinity.

"She's right, we can do this. I'll be right with you. Call me when you want to, as Freya would put it, bring the pain."

Adam nodded and went back to the pillar he was hiding behind. He lit up a fresh cigarette and took a long drag. He knew he'd be okay. His accelerated healing would kick in any moment, and then he'd help the newbies. He'd help his family.

As he took a deep breath a blade popped out of the shadow he created and went through his chest.

"GACH-!" he squelched with a mouth full of blood. The cigarette he was enjoying fell into the pool of blood beneath him. He looked down at the blade and saw the direction it was coming from. He was screwed.

A dark figure walked in front of him. He looked up and glared daggers at the man.

"That blade is just for you, Bast. Unfortunately, it is blocking your healing power, and with your current wounds I don't think you'll be shuffling out of it."

"Goodbye, Adam. I'll be sure to tell you wife and daughter that you died fighting, and then I'll rip their eyes out."

Adam grunted, his teeth grinding from rage. "s**t."

The world around him starting to fade, the darkness enveloping his eyesight. Dusk was gone.

"Kaelonni...Rydia...give him Hell." he whispered.

His hands remained wrapped out the blade as his head dropped. Adam Crescent, The King from another Star, lay dead.

The shadows around Liv echoed all around her.

"Is the reunion over already? I thought you two would still be catching up."

The shadows produced disembodied, yellow eyed Cheshire grins. They mocked Liv with mad glee.

"Did she forgive you, Liv? *snrk* How good of her to lie for your benefit."

Sill shook her head and looked to Trinity.

"She's right, we can do this. I'll be right with you. Call me when you want to, as Freya would put it, bring the pain."

Trinity smirked to herself as Freya and Sill had their conversation. Then Freya showed her power, the glowing really did have to do with her meta power. She was glad she was able to figure out part of it, but she'd feel better if she could figure out the defensive aspect of her power. She wondered briefly about what the distance one could be. But then Freya left in her style.

She grinned at Sill, "Yes, let's put an end to this!" Her wounds were healed enough with the daggers back in her boots and the retractable glaive in hand. She emerged from one of the sides of the remaining buildings across from Freya. Now where is he...

Liv released an abundance of light orbs around her. Similar to the ones she used against Heather. Not only did it light up the room but it would strike down any that dared come out of those shadows.

She grit her teeth as she was being taunted.

"Keep talking you b*****d. It'll be all the sweeter when I shut you up."

Grim frowned at the fallen form of the shooter. With the beastmaster dead and the dragon nowhere to be found he had to rely on himself to produce more soldiers. What's worse is that they were being decimated by the combined power of the wolf woman and the cat woman.

Then he saw Trinity from his high vantage point. He grinned from behind his mask and began to chant again. This time the remains of the vanquished undead began to lose their flesh. All that remained was bone. The bone turned to dust and collected around him. They split into two groups and took the shape of man sized skulls. With a few more words they burst into green flames.

"Now I will have my revenge." he hissed.

With a few more words the giant skulls took a twin serpentine pattern toward Trinity. Their teeth chattered hungrily.

Sill sensed danger incoming and warned Trinity.

"Above you! Two of them!"

Liv released an abundance of light orbs around her. Similar to the ones she used against Heather. Not only did it light up the room but it would strike down any that dared come out of those shadows.

She grit her teeth as she was being taunted.

"Keep talking you b*****d. It'll be all the sweeter when I shut you up."

His insane laughter echoed from what little shadows there were as his grinning visage faded from them.

"You brought this on yourself Liv. You started this when you killed Dawn. Then you had to try and play Daedalus for your own gain. Then I made the generous offer of removing your sickness in exchange for something as infinitesimal as a child. Why are you so selfish Liv?"

An explosion rattled the citadel from the inside out.

"I suppose a better question might be why are you so gullible. You aren't even talking to the real Dusk. I guess it's true what they say about blondes."

"If you still have anything left of the shadow power, and you're feeling brave, feel free to join us here. I'd like a witness to the death of this so called queen."

With one more echo of maddening laughter it became silent in the halls of the citadel.

In the place that used to be the main hall was a giant sphere of shadow. The people that were manning the helm were all dead, and neither the Queen nor Dusk were anywhere to be found.

Sill sensed danger incoming and warned Trinity.

"Above you! Two of them!"

Trinity tumbled out of the way. Thanks!

The chatter sent shivers down her spine. She turned around and saw the green flamed chattering source "The Hell?!" She drew her glaive and started slashing the green fireballs.

The skulls were split cleanly in two. But the necromancer continued his chanting. The split skulls shifted and morphed into their own individual skulls. Now there were four flaming skulls, just a little bit smaller.

They turned around in a wide arc and resumed their kamikaze course against Trinity.

"I'm trying to pin down the source of the skulls. Now would be a good time to try something you couldn't do before. Remember that shield you made before. Commit more of your 'ki' to it and you can make a door to the shadow realm. If you can catch the skulls in them, you wont have to worry about them multiplying like a hydra."

Trinity nodded she brought up her shield as she did before and added a little 'ki' to it which allowed it to be a door to the shadow realm. She added a vacuum to the door in attempt to suck in the green flamed skulls.

Liv took a deep beathe

Don't fall for his taunts. It's all he's good for.

The sudden shock almost caused her to stumble. That wasn't good. If this wasn't the real Dusk then...could he split himself? No use in thinking about that now. She continued forwards until she found the main hall.

She looked up at the shadow sphere before looking around. Every single person here was dead. Without doubt because of Dusk. Her hand glowed brightly as she fired a beam of light at the sphere. Somewhere in the back of her head she knew it wouldn't work. It'd need to be a lot stronger for that. Maybe she really had to go in there.

"Nope. I know I'm the strongest psychic around here but even I don't have that kind of range. Sorry kiddo."

Trinity nodded she brought up her shield as she did before and added a little 'ki' to it which allowed it to be a door to the shadow realm. She added a vacuum to the door in attempt to suck in the green flamed skulls.

The skulls broke apart and were transported into the shadow realm as Sill had predicted.

Sill honed in on the source of the flaming monstrosities.

"There's a cathedral. He's standing on top of it. Ten o'clock, sixty degrees up. He's still chanting so he must be cooking up something else."
