Will we lose it someday? I want to protect you and that disappearing smile The ringing voice that calls me dries out Even if it gets erased by the wind along time I will find you...
Gregory Leo Wood
Gregory Leo Wood sat amongst his various friends, all different in more ways than just being in different houses. They had always seemed to get along with each other, so it was hard for Leo to comprehend why some people held such hostility against people from a different house. The Gryffindor and Slytherin relationship was a fine example of two houses that never seemed to get along. How could teachers sit there and deal with such antics during class? Shrugging to rid himself of these confusing thoughts, Gregory returned to listening to what his friends had to say. He had spent most of breakfast quietly sitting across from Lily and listening to the conversation being held. He had said a few words here and there to show that he was listening, but how much could he say in a conversation about the Yule Ball with a bunch of females? He was more interested in the actual tournament, not the bonuses that came with it. Well, that was to be expected, the women were thinking of the ball while the men were eager to see the dangers of the tournament.
He dozed off a little while anticipating the tournament until he finally snapped back into reality. They had stopped talking about the ball and now were on the topic of classes. Everyone seemed to have different classes, which wasn't a big surprise. Being one of the people that was drifting away from the conversation, Gregory noticed that Lily was also fading in and out of what their friends were saying. It looked like she had not gotten a full night of sleep in a few days. Madam Pomphrey could help her out with that if she really needed it. Waiting for another spark in the conversation to get it going again, Leo leaned over he table towards Lily and asked, "Hey, Seeker. You alright?" As soon as he said this, Lily stood up and walk out of the great hall in the direction that Rose, Albus and Dominique had gone.
Soon everyone was heading out of the Great Hall to their first class of the year. Gregory checked the schedule he was given last night and unfortunately discovered his first class just happened to be the most boring throughout all of the school, History of Magic. No matter what teacher happened to be the History Teacher here at Hogwarts, the class always seemed to put him to sleep. Goblin Rebellions were only exciting during his first year, now it was starting to annoy him. There was only so much a student could learn about Dribblejaw the Wanderer over a span of sixth years. Surprisingly, Leo found himself walking out of the hall and he ran into the Potter siblings and the Weasley cousins.
"Rose, Lily, Albus, Dominique..." Gregory addressed all four of them since it was the polite thing to do, and they were all great people. Albus took off to his class, thinking he was almost late. The girls weren't in as much of a hurry since their watches had been set to the right time. "Well, it seems like all houses have been given the same schedules this year. Anyone headed to History of Magic?" Then Dominique seemed to run off in the direction of his class. She must be going to the same lass since she was also a sixth year. Deciding it would not be good to be late for the first class of the year, Gregory waved goodbye to Rose and Lily before heading down the hall after the other Weasley.
Even though I keep on falling, You laugh and help me up every time As I board the vacant back of the bus You flash me a small smile I must place my trust in you...

[R]iley [E]lizabeth [R]enolds [[Yay, i am happy, This shall be rather lengthy. I wished for a bit more though. Pitty D= ]]
As the small creature moved about in her arms the girl smiled gleefully. She was surprised she’d not thought of using a spell before this part. Luckily the boy had kept on his feet, a typical Gryffindor. Pulling the small ferret in to a different position, he seemed to be trying to escape. The cute little eyes looked at her warily with sleep. It seemed as though he was getting tired of trying to squirm out of the Slytherin’s grasp. As the furry creature began to settle down Riley was ecstatic of this. Finally taking a moment she spoke. ”Thank you Albus.” She said finally with gratitude. As the boy began to speak he seemed to be trouble with things. She wondered if he was any like his father? It was said he had nightmares every night of sleep. When sleep came for him. The girl wondered only for a moment how horrible that would be before brushing the thought aside. She nodded her head slightly as she opened her mouth to speak. ”What is it a-“ her statement was soon cut off as a fellow Slytherin appeared aside her.
She’d not even noticed that class had ended. It must have only been a few moments since the end, but none the less she nor the boy who had accompanied her, noticed. She rather didn’t care actually. As her friend gave the boy a scowl Riley attempted to speak. Quickly being quieted by another few joining the girl they all had the same type of look in their eyes. A mix of hate and disproval. Most all of those in the house had heard she had eyed him earlier today. Even though nothing had been said aloud by the girl, there were of coarse rumors, as in every school. With one last person aside her, Riley now stood with four other Slytherins. All of them made her wish she was not here. A Seventh year with light blonde hair glared at the boy before him and lifted his hand with that of a shooing notion. ”Get along you half-Blood. Leave our Riley alone. You’d better keep away from her anyway, we don’t like the likes of you.” A female aside him then chimed in with a disgusted look. ” Aye, you and your father, think you’re all better than us, isn’t that right, Potter?” The girl then gave a snicker that made Riley cringe. This sort of thing between the houses drove her mad. She wished she could get them to stop, but it was like a non parslemouth trying to keep a snake from eating a rat.
The four Slytherin’s around her surprised her when they had arrived, and it surprised her even more when she realized who it had been. Only one of them the girl talked too. She figured they only wanted to speak to Harry potters son in a foulmouthed way. They would have all jumped on it. She tried to shift away from the group but one of them grabbed her by the arm and grinned wickedly. ”Aw, Riley. Come on now, you don’t wnana play with Potter here? He’s such a good sport and all.” With that said another chimed in. ”Wonder if he speaks as you? ‘Ey? Parslemouth? Maybe you guys were doin’ that and he didn’t know. Hm. Curious thing, ‘ey guys?” Riley knew that they were not really trying to joke upon her, just to make the Gryffindor feel inferior to her. Which made no since to her. Speaking Parsletounge or not made no difference of a person in her mind. It was just an odd perk she happed to be able to do. Letting out a sigh the girl spoke. ”Will you guys cut off it? He was only helpin’ Me get my Ferret back. It was more or less I drug him along, leave it okay? What My uncle and his father had issues with has nothing to do with our generation now.” With that the girl bit against her tongue in annoyance in her own words. She wished for him not to know of her relations to the Malfoy family. It was something she herself Loathed. With nothing more said the girl glanced to Albus then straight forward before walking off to the Slytherin commons with haste. She rather hoped what Ablus had wanted to say could wait, or at least wasn’t one of those life or death sort of things. Whatever it was she wondered if he would still speak of it once they met again, or ignore her for the behavior of her house?
----------------------------------------------------------------------- [[Next.Saturday.Haha.]]
Alas. Forgetting to take her duplicate Ferret back the girl also had to participate in the extra homework of the first day of class, but in all truth it wasn’t all as bad as she had though it would be. She wondered if Mcgonagall actually knew she’d done the spell correctly or not. Whatever it had been the girl still did the extra homework. Pulling the small sweatshirt over her shoulders the girl glanced in the mirror. Her Messy curly hair was down and she had two clips in the side, just for a decoration. At least that’s what her friend Carmon had told her when she wished her to wear them this morning. Glancing at the clock on the wall the girl knew she still had time for breakfast, so she was in no hurry what so ever. Taking her time she slid on a pair of dark brown sneakers with a sky blue strip of cloth through them. Wiggling her toe a bit to make her shoe more comfy she let out a last minute yawn. Today would be a drowsy day. It was raining, and with a slight hint of the falls cold air, that was not something she enjoyed. Now standing up the girl made her way from the dormitories, down the stairs and down one of the many halls upon the Hogwarts grounds.
Pushing open the large door to the great hall Riley made her way to her houses table and sat down aside a Third year who had seemed to take a liking to Riley. As she sat down the third year seemed ecstatic of her arrival and immediately began to speak with her. As she did so riley nodded at appropriate times and smiled. Taking glass she poured herself her own Pumpkin juice and took a sip. Waiting for something more interesting to start. As she dazed the third year spoke of many things. Most of them escaped her grasp this morning. Some she caught, and others she wish she hadn’t listened to. The third year was rather bubbly in her mind, but Riley didn’t mind speaking with her. As the girl aside her rambled on Riley pulled some fruit on her plate and began to nibble on them. She wasn’t really hungry, but she knew she should eat anyway.

~*Nixie Lilac Becker*~ Professor of Arithmancy
Something's growing under that wing I think a face is dawning Oh no the books are growing faces And you're lost quite classically With your nose in a book And it seems so fitting
It was a big relief when Saturday finally rolled around. Nixie was exhausted from spending late nights grading papers and coming up with lessons for the many classes she had to teach. Luckily, she didn't have as many students as some of the other teachers. Not everybody took Arithmancy, so it she had less papers to grade than them. Of course, the subject she taught was difficult enough that it made grading those papers just as challenging. But now she could relax. She'd finished grading papers last night and could relax for most of the weekend. But that wasn't the biggest relief she'd had all week. Today marked an entire week since she'd packed up and left Chris.
Walking into the Great Hall, she noted how empty it was. So many students slept in late on the weekends and ended up missing breakfast. Nixie wouldn't dream of skipping the most important meal of the day. Since leaving Chris, she'd made a promise to herself that she would take care of herself. She wouldn't get depressed like she did whenever she broke up with someone, and she wouldn't overload on food, nor would she guilt herself over leaving without giving Chris a heads up. She was her own person now and for the first time, she felt like she had some self-worth. It just seemed like a nightmare was finally over after replaying in her mind for five long years, showing her horror every night.
Happily, she began to eat her breakfast. Some of the other teachers were there already, as was the headmistress. Nixie was honored to be working with Professor McGonagall. She was a very talented woman, and Nixie hoped to be like her someday. She didn't expect to be a headmistress or anything. She was glad just for the chance of being a teacher! And she wasn't even sure if she was cut out for the job yet. The first week went smoothly enough, but what if she ran out of lesson plans? Or what if she was unbearably boring to the students? She didn't think she could bear it if she knew that the students found her class boring or unpleasant in any way. She tried her best to make it interesting. Of course, it didn't involve crystal balls and tea leaves like Divination. But Arithmancy was accurate and unclouded by human lack of perception.
Her thoughts were distracted when the post came in. One owl came up to her, leaving a single envelope on it. It read, "Nix" in his handwriting. Nixie's face paled as she gulped in fear. The contents of this letter would determine whether or not Chris knew where to find her. If he did...she would have to leave immediately. She couldn't let him get to her. She was sure that if he did, he would hurt her. Badly. Worse than before. He would be so angry with her and she would pay for her mistakes dearly. Slowly, she opened the envelope and pulled out the letter waiting for her inside. It read:
Dear Nix,
I know why you left and I'm sorry. I've stopped drinking and I promise it won't happen again. I miss you and I wish you would come home. I don't know what to do with myself when I'm alone here. Please, when you come home, I'll make it up to you. We'll go get you a new wardrobe or something. Please, I just want to see you. I love you.
Chris
Nixie shuddered at the last sentence and burned the piece of paper to shreds. She wasn't going to answer him. She couldn't. Her fingers ached for a quill so she could write back to him. Just to tell him that she was somewhere safe and that she was happy where she was right now. But she knew that she had to completely ignore him or he wouldn't go away. She knew that he didn't love her and she knew that what happened before would happen again. It always did. She couldn't continue to hope that he would change, nor could she excuse him for his actions any longer. She was just lucky that she hadn't married him.
Sighing, she continued to eat. She wasn't going to let this ruin her day. He didn't know where she was so she could remain calm for now. Yes, she would try to enjoy herself today. But breakfast had to come first so she forked her eggs.
And perhaps this is the end we've sought after for so long And perhaps now it's done Cause we've found all entire dreams Of men and machines and Turned them all around our Indentical hands Composing our commands

Edward. Anthony. Mason. Finally, after much trouble, Edward found the Great Hall. He gaped slightly, staring in the doorway. It wasn’t necessarily the size or beauty that made him stare, it was the ’How the hell did I miss this?’ kind of stare. It was most definitely huge and actually quite elegant. His school was just so different, maybe that’s why he wasn’t looking for something like this? Then again, maybe he’d just scanned over it, he did that. He shook the thought off, and then trotted into the room, scanning, looking for someone in particular. After some time of searching through the tables, there were four for Bloody Mary’s sake, he found the one girl he’d been looking for. Instantly a smile pulled at the end of his mouth. She was a couple years younger than he was, but he knew his limitations, he would wait for her. Wait for the day he could call her his own; not in an ownership sort of way though. He wanted to own her heart, not anyone else. Edward was a gentleman when it came down to it, he would never force himself on an unwilling girl, even if she was it had to be the right girl.
Edward moved swiftly, walking over to the Ravenclaw table, only to slip into the seat next to Katarina. He leaned his elbow against the table, turning to face her. He flashed her a smile, his eyes twinkling every so slightly. “Hmm, reading a book.” He observed, leaning closer to her, only to peer at the book. She also smelled nice, he observed. Cute as every, that was a given. He turned only slightly to pick up a piece of toast and butter it, and then he munched on it quietly. He wasn’t much of a morning eater to be honest, but if he didn’t eat now, he’d be starving later. ”How’ve you been, kitten?” he cooed finally. He had another question, or statement, but he would hold off until he had gotten some sort of response from her. Hopefully not a negative one due to his shirt.

Edward. Anthony. Mason.Edward examined Katarina’s face in more depth as he waited for a response. He never really could get over the spell her beautiful eyes cast on him, they were too…well beautiful. Similar to his own in a way, but they held a different spark in them. And he let a smile slide across his face, as he saw the sweet smile he loved appear on her face. Edward examined the front of the novel, with some difficulty, but chuckled slightly. Yep, definitely a romance, what romance doesn’t have a shirt-less man and then a woman on the cover? Not many, at least not the one’s he’d seen, then again he didn’t really read romance novels. He didn’t mind them though regardless. “Mmm…French huh, I happen to find French women…” he paused, waggling his eyebrows slightly, “very attractive.” he finished, a double meaning to his words, Katarina of course was French. He chuckled softly and wrapped one of his arms around her shoulders. “Don’t worry kitten, I’m here now, you can…er stop being lonely.” He purred, messing up a bit on the wording. Brilliant Edward, just brilliant; however he blew it off. Edward would still coo even if he messed up. He chuckled and retrieved his arm, unwrapping it from around her shoulders, and picked up more toast. He quite liked toast; you could put so many things on it! And it always seems to taste good no matter what. Well maybe not, there was that one time…and that other time. Okay, yeah, not always. “Fine I guess….I missed you terribly though.” He responded to her question fiddling with the piece of toast, then taking another bite.
Edward glanced at her as she mentioned his shirt. He almost expected a negative response. Come on though ‘You wish your wand was as big as mine.’ was classic. And hilarious; it was most definitely hilarious. Though in all honesty, his actual wand was only eleven inches; you can get one that’s at least thirteen. So it might’ve lied, maybe. He was surprised to hear her dismiss it, though it was obvious that she wanted to say something. He picked his other hand up and brushed some of her hair behind her ear, then leaned in closer to her. “What is it kitten?” he whispered in her ear. He pulled back then thought, a grin sliding across his face. “If you’d like, I’ll take it off right here if you don’t like it, I’m not sure the professors would like it much though.” He cooed, chuckling afterwards. Honestly, he would do it too; he really didn’t care about them as much as he did her.
//Lmfao, that's probably one of the only things I know in French off hand xD

Justin walked into the Great Hall, glancing around at all the chattering Hogwarts students. He made his way to the Durmstrang Table, picking up a few thinbgs to eat along his way. There werent many other boys up yet, so he sat by himself on one end of the table. He nimbled on a piece of bacon, and looked around again. He didnt have that many friends from Durmstrang, since he had only been going there for 2 years, before being transported to Hogwarts. What was the point of him even being here, if he couldnt even participate in the Triwizard Tournament. Though if he had the opportunity to join, he wouldnt. Justin thought, he could most likely keep an eye on his sister, seeing as she had developed veela qualities from they're mother. He glanced over at the Beaxubatons table. Apparently Alex hadnt gotten herself out of bed yet. He turned back to his food, and continued eating.

Dominique skipped into the Great Hall, very happy that it was Saturday. She continued skipping all the way to Gryffindor Table, smiling and waving at others. She looked over at the Beaxbatons table to see if Evangeline was eating yet, and she wasnt. Dominique turned back to her table a bit disappointed, but nothing was going to bring down her mood today. She grabbed a plate and filled it with food. Before she knew it, owl post had arrived. Her small owl dropped a small letter in her lap. She knew right away it was from her mum, by the beautiful cursive handwriting. She tore the letter open and read it.
Dear Dominique, "Hello dear. I hope all eez well at 'Ogwarts. I really hope your name gets drawn out of zee Goblet of Fire. If it doesnt, dont forget, that not matter what, jour father and I will be proud of you. Have fun! I will see you at Christmas!" Love Mom
P.S. "Jour father says hello. He ezz getting ready to go off to work. He send his love."
Dominique closed the letter and smiled. "Oh Mom...." She whispered. She picked her fork back up and took a small bite of her eggs. She looked up at Rose who seemed to be reading a letter from her parents too. "So Rose. What does Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione have to say today?" She said curiously. Her family was pretty big. She had many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Most of which, went to Hogwarts about 25 years ago.

David arrived in the Great Hall, a bit tired. He hadnt gotten much sleep last night, because he was too busy dreaming about Briget, and at the very moment, he spotted her eating at the Hufflepuff Table. He smiled, flashing a pair of peraly white teeth. He ruffled his hair a bit and walked over to her. he put his hands in front of her eyes and whispered in her hair. "Guess who?" He said. David moved his hands from her eyes and sat down next to her. he grabbed a peice of bacon and shoved it in his mouth. He yawned slightly, and stretched his arms to the ceiling. "Man am I exhasted!" He said, still yawning. "So how are you? Did you sleep well?" He said casually.

Alexandra managed to find her way to the Great Hall. Many guys were stopping her in the corridors. Some times having veela qualities, were a bit annoying. She walked into the Great Hall, some guys stopping and staring at her as she walked to the Beauxbatons Table. On her way, she passed the Durmstrang Table, she saw her brother sitting at the end of it eating alone, she waved at him casusally and continued on to the table. She wasnt too hungry, but she came anyway to see if anyone else was here that she could talk to. It was Saturday, there were no classes, and she had nothing to do.
