Mira was tired from Hunger and thirst as well, more so than Cody as she hadn't eaten or drank too much that day he was infected. She enjoyed cuddling with him on the cot though despite how small it was. She loved having him around her. When the intercom came on, and once Cody had a conversation with Agent Terry, she smiles as they were given food and water. She hugs Cody happily as they start on a serum to turn them back and help the infectious bite to cease. Unfortunately, they were unable to find a way to turn her back because her DNA had changed over time. She was shocked when Cody gently took her hand and says that he'd stay like he was. "Are you sure, Cody? You don't have to stay like this because of me." She says as she looks at him not wanting to force him to do anything he didn't want.

Cody looked at her as she seemed shocked he chose to stay like her. He nodded as he smiled some, "Of course, my mother was a... a difficult person with problems and I lost her some time ago. My father had his own problems but he hadnt been around while I was growing up. I dont have any family to go back to and kinda figured, now I have you." He said kindly, "Besides... I kinda like you Mira, and like this, we can be the first couple of our kind right?" He said kindly hoping she would reject him.

Mira hugs Cody and says "I like you too, Cody. Before you came, I never thought I'd be free again. If we hadn't met, things would remain the same or would have turned out worse." as she hugs him happily her tail wagging behind her. She adored Cody, but didn't want to force into loving her if he didn't feel that way.

Cody smiled abd hugged her back as his own tail wagged behind him, "I kinda know what may have happened... and I dont think you would have liked it... but now you have your freedom, your health and now we have each other." He said happily but someone would walk up, "Excuse me, Mira _____?" They said as they asked for her, which once she achknowledged that it was her and her last name, the man would lead her and Cody to another section, where two people were waiting. They were older, but Mira's parents were shocked seeing Mira, what they had done to her. Her mother began to cry, and it almost seemed like she was scared, but then her mother rushed to Mira, embracing her, "My little Mira!" She exclaimed, happy to be holding her daughter in her arms. Mira's parents had already been informed and had been offered a nice deal of being relocated to a special location they were setting up for the saved subjects and their recovered families if they were found.

Mira was nervous about seeing her parents again. Though any worries she'd had vanished when her mother hugged her. "Mom! Dad!" She says hugging her mother gently not wanting to hurt her. Tears start flowing down her face as well as she hugs her parents. "I thought I'd never see either of you again!" She says hugging them crying happy tears. Mira was relieved that her parents accepted her still, regardless of what she looked like. She was still their little Mira. "Mom, dad, I'd like you to meet Cody. He's the one who made this all possible." She says as she introduces Cody to her parents. When she sees the looks on their faces, she goes on to explain that he was her caretaker in the facility she was in. That when she bit him by accident a few days ago he turned into what she was and that the infectious bite was dealt with so she can't turn anyone else should circumstances that happened repeat themselves. She then went on to say that she and Cody were together, not as friends but as boyfriend and girlfriend. She then hugs his arm smiling as she goes to stand next to him.

Cody smiled seeing the family united, he was happy for them as they were together again and as she explained what was going on to her mother. However when she introduced him, he stepped forward, his tail wagging lightly behind him but he rubbed the back of his head, "Sounds a bit rushed but yes, I had been Mira's caretaker for a while... she is very kind and strong, but she was more then an experiment to me, and even before she bit me, I couldnt help but think she was beautiful. I make the promise to you that i will do everything I can to make sure Mira is happy and loved while being her boyfriend." He said as he felt odd about saying that, but the dad smacked his back, making him yelp without realizing as the dad smirked, "We'll hold you to that." he teased as Cody nervously laughed but soon they would be on their way. They had to stay in temporary housing for a few days, but then not long later, they were moved to a small town like culvasac where Mira's family moved in and a few houses down the road, Cody was given his own home. However the second bedroom he allowed Mira to make hers incase she stayed over and her parents wouldnt worry about them sharing a bed since they had just gotten their daughter back and were wanting to catch up.

Mira was so happy that she was home with her parents again. She enjoyed catching up with them and couldn't be happier whenever she was with Cody. She loved being with him and that he gave her a room at his place for when it was late at night when they got home. Currently, she was helping Cody unpack some of his things into his new home. They were taking a break to get some water and were having a great time. She couldn't help but thank him for helping her out of that awful situation she was in. She smiles at him as she sits next to him and says "I love you Cody. I'm very grateful that we're able to be together." as she nuzzles his arm looking up at him sweetly.

Cody had been getting use to his new life, and his body, he still bumped his new feet into things and the fact he couldnt wear shoes anymore still made him feel weird but the things he gained, like Mira, and even her parents treating him like a member of the family was nice. As he was mostly done unpacking, Mira and him were sitting to relax, watching tv when Mira nuzzled against him and said those words that made him blush under his fur but he put his arm around her and held her close, "I love you too Mira." He said softly but sincerely, he gently nuzzled the top of her head, still getting use to the new instincts he had as well. One thing he had been noticing was that his now enhanced scent was hard to get use to, but being around Mira, well her scent always smelled nice to him in his opinion. He could have something ruin his day but as soon as he cuddled up with Mira, everything was right in the world.

Mira smiles as he nuzzles the top of her head. She knew that it would take some time for him to get used to his new sense of smell, and walking with his new paw like feet. She remembered how much trouble she had at first and was still getting used to the smells of the world around them. As he held her close, Mira smiles as they relax and he held her close. She didn't think their lives could get much better. She didn't know how she'd fair without Cody in her life, but she knew it had to be fate.

Cody smkled as she nuzzled against him and laid her head against him, which he found that he didnt get as warm as he expected being covered in fur. What was something to get use to was still wearing clothes, over the fur as that felt odd. Either way, he kept cuddled with her as they enjoyed the rest of the stuff they watched on TV. For the next few months, things were mostly normal, Cody experienced his first shedding period which was annoying and one time a dog had passed fleas to him and that was irritating. One time he found himself actually scratching behind his ear with his pawed foot rather then his hand which showed he did have a bit more flexibility then usual, but he didnt tell anyone. Either way, he would sigh as he saw Mira, cause he had a bit of a question, "Hey Mira... so we have been dating for a while... and since its been a couple of months, I figured I would ask if you wanted to fully move in? I know its silly to ask because you already just live down the street from me but I figured maybe it would be nice for our relationship?" He said offering her the idea, hoping she didnt laugh at him for the odd request.

Mira smiles as she sees Cody as she was helping her mother in the garden out front and having fun with her mother like they used to do. She sees Cody and waves at him. When he asks her to move in with him, she was shocked but hugs Cody, smiling and says "Of course! I'd love to!" She says hugging him happily before she kisses him. Her mother smiles at the two of them. Mira loved Cody with all of her heart, and wanted to be closer to him as time went on. Her tail wags as she wraps her arms around Cody, loving that they would be together more than they already more.

Cody gasped as she suddenly hugged him, but his tail would also wag behind him as he hugged her back. He did find that he loved having Mira around, "You know, I remember the first time I walked into the room that they held you in. You were so scared, and I was scared of you as you growled at me... you refused to eat the slop they had me bring you so I had to go argue with the 'cooks' just to get you a decent meal." He said softly as he gently held her, "Now, youre so chippy, and im pretty sure your fur has turned a brighter shade of white and your red fur is more vibrant." He complimented as he looked to her, "I still dont regret whats happened, it was harsh to have seen what you had gone through but I have you in my life and id never change that for anything int he world." He said gently nuzzling her, rubbing his head to hers softly as he found he did truly love her. His ears perked up as he heard a click noise, looking up to see that Mira's mother had taken a picture of their tender moment, "Miss ______... come on." He said shyly, calling out Mira's mother.

Mira couldn't help but giggle a bit at Cody's reaction to her mother taking a picture of them. "Oh, let her take a picture. She doesn't want to miss out on anything more than what she's already missed. She's taken so many pictures of me so far, I don't think she's missed anything." Mira says gently, smiling up at Cody. She adored him, not because of what he was now but because from the moment they met he treated her like she was still human. She kisses Cody's cheek as she looks up at him. "Mom and I were planting some new flowers if you'd like to join us." She says smiling at him.

Well soon Mira's last name will be Carter... cause im not clever with last names >,<

Cody smiled some and nodded, "True, your parents are catching up on 9 years of time lost?" He asked as her mother nodded, which he still felt sorry that so much time was lost and she was experimented on for 9 years til he arrived. He looked to Mira though and then to the garden and nodded, "Sure, might be fun..." he said as he would join them to garden. For the next few days, Cody would help Mira move into her room at his house, however that night as they were getting ready for bed, a bad thunderstorm rolled in, the first bad one since he had changed, wincing each time thunder struck, it sounded like a gun shot.

The night of the thunderstorm, Mira was sitting with Cody in the living room. She was underneath a blanket. She sees Cody wince every time they thunder boomed. She goes over to him and places the blanket over his head with a smile. "This usually helps muffle the sound of the thunder." She says sitting next to him and snuggles up to him with a smile on her face as she nuzzles against him.
