yeah he's a pretty good dude. most of the speeches this year decided to go more for humor than anything inspiring/recycled and one comment was that the middle paragraph of one of the two speeches did not exhibit school pride (which would make some sense if he'd done it consistently, but none of the speeches showed any school pride at all). does he confuse opaque and transparent on purpose/every year?

it isn't interesting this time, not really. there's minimal interaction between the people (just because we don't feel like it i guess) and the legs themselves are really fast and fairly easy.

man the only cat i ever had was a kitten and he was a very cute marmalade tabby who was fully clawed and loved executing a series of jumps to the top bunk so he could attack my feet... it's kind of odd to have happy memories of a not-very-domestic cat biting your toes until you wake up but that's what i got. i broke my wrist running away from him once and he ran away a few times before leaving for good

i probably cried about it a couple weeks beforehand but i can't remember much of anything anymore. i think there's a little bit of sadness (for teachers) with pretty much every kid leaving, except maybe if there was a shoe incident equivalent.

I loved his speeches they were all the same. Disgraceful, even the freshmen quieted down faster than that ...it is difficult to capture his devotion. I made a short targ presentation out of a mix of his style and some of my college orientation assemblies but it's lost in my dead hard drive/within the depths of john's gw PMs

nolf = no one lives forever. it's an fps with a 60s spy theme. loads of acronyms, gadgets, fantastical locations, and the gameplay is fun, the plot is interesting (and far-fetched), and the levels are pretty complex.

some of the settings in the first one include a gameshow, a volcano, a space station, an island, and morocco.

yeah it was pretty fun.

ugh ugh I had german class with phil and he was HILARIOUS. idk if you've ever been near alan kulaganegro (coined by Mr. Keller) but he's basically like that except more anoying. he does that little tongue tick whenever he starts a sentence/pauses/breathes and it's really annoying. eh it's hard to describe, I guess mostly girls and gay guys do it but he does it because he's a cool hotshot tough guy. also he'd always say ES REGNET in response to like 1 question a day and apparently it was funny every time. idk who joey is, no one probably! twink's phil bear's Dan apparently (it is ok if you don't know these terms they're hipster gay bar stuff usually spoken by creepy old hollywood men apparently)

oh yeah ship is pretty good. the one game of the new version i played didn't have kills enabled so i couldn't tell if you could kill/have a weapon out in public or not but it seemed to require more skill than the old version. also there weren't any NPC guests? though there was a secret passage still.

the original came out in 2000 and the sequel came out in 2002 (and apparently there is a prequel that came out after that, which i haven't heard of before!), so it is not so terribly old and obscure that you would not be able to find it.

actually searched a torrent site and they have the isos so yeah

well the server can set the number of witnesses and the time they have to see you for, other than that you can't have a weapon out in front of a security guard or camera. A little beep plays to let you know you're being watched though so it's not tedious. Yeah, there are still a lot of fun secrets to find, and now there's some source mapping involved, so it works a bit better imo. yeah there are bots too, but only if you allow them. they can be players or harmless passengers.

ugh I feel like GW is constantly changing for the worse. hopefully Impeal becoming an admin is a sign he'll stop posting regularly, like everyone who has in the past. ugh just really really annoying; idc about the physical changes it's all the bs associated with them

i have started playing worms world party with people though and it is pretty fun! also, i'm playing through the entire monkey island series. 2 < 1 so far and i remember not liking 4 as much.

man this whole debacle is just stupid. just... i guess i don't understand it because i'm not 'in the brotherhood' or whatever but i do like targ and i thought ase's thread was... well, cute, i guess, in a fingerpainting kind of way (i can't even fingerpaint; beside the point) and it's just like a huge forum war with no point and it's impossible not to compare hitler and impeal (terrible though it sounds) from the huge huge arguments and the not very ranting rants steel and adeline post about in their livejournals--more steel than adeline. it's an interesting perspective, though.

it's kind of amusing but also really not because apparently impeal has a vision for the crap shack that mostly involves making it entirely... actually, i'll just quote a few things.

o uh. the classes I had that were good were either largely major-based (idk if someone outside a bio/chem degree can take second level science classes ?) or good because the professors were good. chem was fun because of the labs which were pretty cool (also partially because the instructor/people) and I already had all the tedious horrible problem solving stuff so that part wasn't too hard. I also had to write huge lab reports though so : . other than that german and languages are always fun, plus more fast-paced. uh I'd tell you not to take any philosophy if you can avoid it but that was just my experience (also see philosophy topic post). idk I'm taking bio calc east asian studies german next semester if that helps at all ?

wizard wars can't even be considered a cult game really because i think maybe a hundred people have played it and none of them felt the need to continue. it was kind of fun to explore and s**t but sniping with lightning bolts is just stupid. it's definitely worth taking a college language I think. well maybe this is also centered around the teacher, but it seems a lot easier to learn/retain without all the extra annoying stuff. ugh freud is annoying too why aren't there better people to learn about in the past? And I just realized I've barely had any classes not required for my major or general studies gross

oh. well wizard wars is a half-life mod that probably no one has really heard of because it is pretty bad. it's sort of like tfc but with majycke and not fun. the monkey island series is by lucasarts and it's a scumm adventure game. it's pretty funny and it's sort of like space quest if you've ever played any of those? except with pirates and i think more enjoyable. my family played worms a lot when we were kids though. most of the worms games are very similar to one another graphically and i think most of the differences are just additional weapons and some gameplay features. it is pretty fun though and none of the people i played worms with on gw were very good (including me) so it's not that bad for a beginner.

i didn't try any but the berry fanta was very good :/

yeah i will probably end up needing to take some anyway (especially if i want to study abroad and i really do but i don't know what :/) and the german department seems pretty cool. also; as long as the course is not 'freudian theory' or something like that i think i'll be ok. and i'm probably going to end up taking a bunch of histories because a lot of that stuff is fascinating/just plain weird
