Several of the soldiers swore internally as the ones behind the duo began to sneak up on them. Two soldiers in particular lined up behind them, the butt of their rifles slowly raising. When they thought they had the right moment, they drove their rifles down on their targets.

Many years of training and experience told Trinity that there's only one reason why she would sense the feet of someone in camo behind her. "CHECK YOUR 6!" she went down causing the soldier to miss. Then followed that with a low round house kick toward his ankles. Once that connected she had a better sense of where her opponent was she thrust a shadow fist toward where the guy's chest would be.

The flare of the electronics in the camouflage keeping up with the movements of the soldier behind him alerted Ako to the impending strike just as Trinity's warning registered in his brain. He moved with an agility that would have surprised his younger self, spinning on the balls of his feet and taking a knee while striking out with an electrified palm. Unless he misjudged the soldier's location, the taser strike would hit about mid-thigh. Whether it did or not, Ako was ready to roll to the side to hopefully avoid fire from the soldiers he'd just turned his back to.

The boy in the mask took a few steps closer and craned his neck in an attempt to get a closer look at Kerana.

"Are you Mother? You look like Mother." he asked.

Kerana

cat_eek "What!? What did you say???" Kerana's ears twitched up. "How?... How can that be? I've never even slept with a boy... how can I be your..." she gulped a moment. "...mother?"

"¿qué demonios?" Deora muttered, looking from the masked figure, to Kerana, and back again. The ice shank was freezing her sweat to her palm, and the sensation was the only thing keeping her from forgetting it and dropping her guard.
This guy's accusation was so out of left field. Deora had known a few girls in high school who'd had kids early, but Kerana was too young, too innocent. Besides that, this guy looked way to old to be her... What would a girl with Kerana's features have? Kids or kits?

As another stab of icy pain shot through her hand, Deora shook her head and looked from the guy to Kerana again, this time adding Damian to the loop. Maybe he knew something about this? He seemed to know more than he should.

"Wasn't planning to. The two of you are almost sisters. Ain't getting between that. Hell hath no fury and all."Theo replied.

Then Freya happened and the short skit that occurred.

"I know...just doesn't feel like it. I basically made them easy flying targets. But going out there right now will only add fuel to the fire as I am sure Daedelus is already on site." Theo responded." But thanks"

At that prompting Gidget went back to the working monitor and starting fiddling with it, and a bunch of wires, again to produce a working television signal.

Freya smelled something familiar and looked at the girl that was laying on the ground.

"Well well, if it ain't the little b***h I punched clean out of the shadow realm. I still haven't gotten a chance to properly interrogate her, or would you like that pleasure? It doesn't matter to me, I just know she's hiding something about what Eclipse is up to."

" I find it ironic that I, the spawn of a beast of unlimited hunger, don't feel that same need." Legio spoke. Dusk's action of looking down on him was not unnoticed. Looking down on someone makes you feel more powerful and intimidating. Legio knew but did not speak of it.

"The collective consumed unconscious of your people. If I understand it correctly, you wish to free them. Unleash them into this world. Why?"

Eclipse glowered at the being and asked, "Now where would you get a funny idea like that? You wouldn't be poking around in my head now, would you?"

"Already did that sort of speaking. She's just a pawn. But neither of her personalities should hurt us anymore. The others are her clones. And she eh....is kinda my half sister. So yeah that took a weird turn." Theo said. He sighed." We got confirmation from the database a former Daedelus employee left behind."

He rubbed his chin a little bit." We may need to gather all of the chunks of metal she shot out. Reforge it into a weapon. At least we know it could hurt Eclipse."

"I fail to see how that idea is funny.I have not been...poking around inside your mind but it is tempting. However I find conversing much more valuable." Legio responded. " Your responses and expressions are equally valuable. They say the things you are not saying with words."

"You are I are not of the same race. My kind is trapped behind a barrier in the shadows. I would not be surprised if there was another barrier. My kind consumed yours. Yet you are doing nothing to prevent me from doing the same to you or this world. There could be a few reasons for this. You do not care about this world, you do not think you could stop me if I wanted it to be consumed, you wish for me to do so. If you do wish for it to happen then releasing my kind would greatly speed up the process. Or all of the reasons."

Legio's hair grew darker as did the color of his eyes.

cat_eek "What!? What did you say???" Kerana's ears twitched up. "How?... How can that be? I've never even slept with a boy... how can I be your..." she gulped a moment. "...mother?"

The boy straightened up and sighed, "No. Not Mother."

He began to approach them slowly. As he did, the ground and walls within a five foot radius of him began to age and fall apart.

Damien had caught Deora's look. He had been trying to probe the boy's mind for a few seconds already. But there was nothing, or rather, something was keeping him from probing.

He saw the danger the boy presented and immediately ran to the opposite wall. He reared his fist back and hardened it with biomass. One swift blow and an exit was made for them.

"C'mon, we can't get close to him!" he shouted.

The boy hissed, "Collect boy, kill everything else."

Freya finally got around to looking at the condition of the lab around her after Theonis mentioned the chunks of metal.

"Holy s**t! She did this?" she asked.

Freya got up and went to the first hole that she saw. She took out a kunai and picked at the hole until the ore fell out. The metal shined in a fashion that the wolf-ninja recognized immediately.

"This is mithril! You're saying this could hurt Eclipse?"

Eclipse quirked an eyebrow at the changing color of Legio's hair. He didn't fully understand what the purpose of it was, but he didn't like the color.

"Kid, don't begin to think that you are in any way beyond my capability. You may be the culmination of thousands, but I have had eons to grow in power." he cautioned.

He sat back down and leaned back in his chair comfortably. "I have been keeping tabs on you since your 'birth.' Your activities haven't interfered with my plans in the slightest, so I have let you be. Had you been going around consuming everyone, I would've had to intervene. Unless you were actively attacking the leadership of Valhalla, then I would've sat back and laughed. Oof, you wouldn't believe how scared they are of you."

"As for why I am doing what I'm doing...that's my little secret. Not even those four know my motivations. And don't think about probing my mind for answers. I'm in a good mood right now, but that would put me in an incredibly homicidal mood."

Many years of training and experience told Trinity that there's only one reason why she would sense the feet of someone in camo behind her. "CHECK YOUR 6!" she went down causing the soldier to miss. Then followed that with a low round house kick toward his ankles. Once that connected she had a better sense of where her opponent was she thrust a shadow fist toward where the guy's chest would be.

The soldier buckled at the ankle and took the shadow fist full bore into his chest. It knocked him into the brick wall, causing it to bend from the impact. His camouflage fizzled out as he went unconscious.

Knowing the jig was up, the remaining soldiers turned off their camo. They numbered ten. The tint on their visors increased as one of them tossed a flash grenade toward Ako and Trinity. The intent was to blind Ako and keep Trinity's shadow manipulation to a minimum.

The soldier was struck in the thigh and cried out in pain as the electricity from Ako caused his adaptive camo to fizzle out and his body to seize.

The ten remaining soldiers revealed themselves and lobbed a flash grenade toward Ako and Trinity. A second after it landed, the grenade detonated with a flare that was comparably bright to a welding spark.

"Does Genocide not count as a homicidal mood? I do believe you've just ordered that." Legio responded with the same neutral tone as before.

"At the moment I am quite...curious to see if you are stronger than me. There is something about you that irks me." There was a subtle shift in his tone which was only accentuated by the fact that his hair continued to grow darker.

"Mithril? Is that what it's called? Huh. Anyway, yeah that should be able to hurt him. It tore through Silhouette and injured her. So I think it should be able to do a good number on her brother as well."

"Does Genocide not count as a homicidal mood? I do believe you've just ordered that." Legio responded with the same neutral tone as before.

"At the moment I am quite...curious to see if you are stronger than me. There is something about you that irks me." There was a subtle shift in his tone which was only accentuated by the fact that his hair continued to grow darker.

Eclipse cackled a mad and terrible laugh before responding, "Kid, there is a difference between getting others to do your dirty work and getting your own hands stained."

He stood up again and phased through the table like a ghost, approaching Legio with hunger in his eyes.

"I irk you because you can't figure me out. No amount of meditation or counseling from the elderly can understand me. To do so would be to embrace chaos itself. You seek order..."

The air around Eclipse grew stale and dark as he snarled, "I seek to rape it."

From the side came a small but manically forceful voice, "Sator, Let me be the one to break him!"

From one of the dark corners emerged the girl with a mask adorned with a fist. Her stark white hair was cropped into a feather bob, that bounced as she cried, "He is beneath you! Please, I want to feel his bones break!"

Eclipse seemed momentarily annoyed as his approach was interrupted by one of his chosen four. But then he grinned and shook his head as he chuckled, "Pheh, how can I deny a request like that?"

He looked to Legio and asked, "Care to indulge the girl for a moment? She hasn't broken anything with her hands in days, and she did say please. Or we could indulge your curiosity and have a little scuff back home."
