More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Mithril? Is that what it's called? Huh. Anyway, yeah that should be able to hurt him. It tore through Silhouette and injured her. So I think it should be able to do a good number on her brother as well."

Freya wasn't so sure. If Eclipse had full control over her brother's abilities, there could be a problem.

"Have you ever seen Teshoumaru fight? There are tricks up his sleeve that even Trinity probably doesn't know about." she cautioned. She studied the stone once more and played with it between her fingers until she looked back at Theonis and sighed, "But this is a strong start."

"Gah, finally!" Gidget huffed as the monitor successfully displayed four news stations at once. The buzz was not good.

"Daedalus on scene at the crash. Local metas being taken in for questioning. Casualties still being calculated, My assets being frozen!" she shouted.

Sure enough, Gidget's face was popping up in several segments.

"How is that possible?! I kept my name as far from Valhalla as-"

Charles Ray's face was the next to be displayed. Gidget gripped the console hard. The metal under her right hand was bending from the pressure.

"That son of a b***h!" she growled.

Freya pocketed the ore and said to Theonis, "Well, I'm no good just standing here. Do you think you can handle Rydia? I'm going to find some contacts and do some recon. Maybe I can find out what Eclipse is up to."

Theo watched it unfold. Most Gidget's frustration. He turned to Freya.

"Yeah, I think I can handle her. Just be careful. You're all she has right now. Try not to do anything rash. Trinity's got a knack for that."

It would be interesting to see how things unfold in chaos. Up till now Legio had been seeking out order because everything would follow a pattern you can recognize.

"I see." Legio simply responded." I shall indulge the girl. I am quite curious to see what she can do. I also find some amusement in the fact that your chosen carry the blood of those that oppose you."

Legio got up from his chair as it sunk back into the ground. Turning around to face the girl. He pressed his hands together and bowed like a monk would.

"You may proceed to break me.....if you can."

Theo watched it unfold. Most Gidget's frustration. He turned to Freya.

"Yeah, I think I can handle her. Just be careful. You're all she has right now. Try not to do anything rash. Trinity's got a knack for that."

Freya smirked and walked up to Theonis. She sized him up and then playfully punched him in the shoulder.

"Don't sell yourself short, slick. Even if I ******** up, I can die easy knowing you've got her back." she complimented.

She gracefully spun on her heels and walked out the door, waving her hand in farewell. "Later heroes. Don't get dead."

Gidget was laying her head on the console in frustration. She waved her hand weakly as Freya made her exit.

Rydia stirred and moaned, her eyes still heavily glazed over. "Myeaaa. Whazgoinon? Whamysleeponderfloor?"

The diminutive girl growled and raised her right hand toward her mask.

"Ah-ah-ah. He's a psychic. Keep that on, Strength. And try not to lose your temper. A bony paste is no use to me. And no terminus breaking." Eclipse cautioned.

Strength grunted and lowered her hand. Her flaming orange eyes pierced the slots as she approached Legio with her fists clenched.

"Save the ceremony for your funeral."

Eclipse had always liked Strength's aggressive manner. But he also liked his little domicile as it was.

"This wont do. We need a proper arena."

He snapped his fingers, creating a spark of purple light that grew into a dark orb which encompassed the office.

When the six of them were within the darkness, they were standing atop a grand cube made up of hundreds of individual cubes.

"This is a place I made within the shadow realm a few millennium ago. I hope you don't mind the change of scenery, Legio."

"It is not for me." Legio replied to Strength's funeral comment.

Eclipse's display of shadow control was quite a sight to see. It was something he would try out later.

"Not at all. It is well made and most suitable for this. Your previous room would have been demolished." Legio said with a nod of appreciation.

His hands were still pressed together.

"You may begin."

"Thanks."

As if it was on que, the moment she left Rydia woke up. It was always fun to see someone wake up from something like that.

"Couldn't make it to the bed I suppose." Theo initially responded. " You were about to attack us and left us no choice."

"It is not for me." Legio replied to Strength's funeral comment.

Eclipse's display of shadow control was quite a sight to see. It was something he would try out later.

The other three masked girls ran to the same cube that Eclipse was on. As soon as they settle, the cube dislodged and hovered to a save distance above the arena. The empty space caused another cube to shift, and then another rolled over along the edge, and yet another began to hover as the earlier one had. Soon the entire top portion of the grand cube had divided in such a way that their arena looked like an abstract landscape made up of cubes. There were several dozen that were floating around like clouds. All of the cube segments were similar in size to storage containers.

As several cubes passed between Legio and Strength, she seemed to vanish. What she had actually done was cling to one of the cubs that was passing in front of her and rode it as it began to rise.

When her cube was about 60 meters above Legio, she swung on top of it. Her hands hardened and reconfigured itself into a metal. She reared her right arm back and slammed the cube with an open palm, causing it to careen down toward the segment Legio was standing on. The resulting force pushed her far enough back that she was able to cling onto another passing cube and see how her first attack fared.

"Thanks."

As if it was on que, the moment she left Rydia woke up. It was always fun to see someone wake up from something like that.

"Couldn't make it to the bed I suppose." Theo initially responded. " You were about to attack us and left us no choice."

Rydia moaned and rolled her head up at Theonis. She mumbled, "Yejerk. Immakickyerbutt."

She shuffled and tried to bring her left hand to uncover her eye, but it just went past the sash and right to her temple. "Ow. DiddIfall...onmyface?"

"When this is all over alright?" Theo said and walked over to Rydia." We can duke it out after we deal with Eclipse, deal?" He reached out to her to take her hand and help her up.

Legio was in all truth amazed at this. It was quite beautiful in his eyes despite being created by someone who's said to have embraced Chaos. The dark color of his hair faded to white. His eyes had long lost Strength and started to follow a piece of cube. He started walking to follow it better, leaving the spot where he previously stood.

The crashing cube made him snap back to reality. Legio looked up to look for her assailant.

"When this is all over alright?" Theo said and walked over to Rydia." We can duke it out after we deal with Eclipse, deal?" He reached out to her to take her hand and help her up.

Gydia groaned again and took his hand. She took a moment to steady herself before leaning against an overturned worktable.

"Don't think...this...changes anything, Overseer." she huffed.

Gidget brought up the files on the four masked girls and separated them. "Will this do?" she asked Rydia.

The Princess looked over to the TV and squinted.

"Who is 'Daedalus?'" she asked.

"Simple terms...the enemy. They experiment on all Meta's they can get their hands on. Trying to control them, tweak them, torture...you name it. Freya was captured by them and they tried to extract Silhoutte if I recall correctly. They were the ones wearing out uniform to take down those choppers. Trying to start a war against us, Valhalla."Theo explained.

"Those affected by the meteor's live here in peace. It's the only place they can go to. Their safehaven. Valhalla."

Legio was in all truth amazed at this. It was quite beautiful in his eyes despite being created by someone who's said to have embraced Chaos. The dark color of his hair faded to white. His eyes had long lost Strength and started to follow a piece of cube. He started walking to follow it better, leaving the spot where he previously stood.

The crashing cube made him snap back to reality. Legio looked up to look for her assailant.

Strength looked down over the edge of the cube at Legio. She took a moment to search her surroundings, and then looked down once more at her target.

She saw three cubes that were coming close enough to hop onto. Rather than do that, however, she leaped and smashed the three cubes in succession toward Legion before taking a short fall to another cube. She then began a rapid descent, leaping from cube to cube, to get closer to the "ground."

The cubes stopped before hitting Legio. Multiple clean cuts ran through them before they broke to uneven smaller pieces. The chunks began to twirl around Legio as if caught in a storm. Then it all came to a stop when he located his foe. Like being shot from a machine gun the chunks were fired at their target.
