More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

How could Eclipse be getting bored? All of this was fascinating to Legio. It was new. His face did not show it but he was entertained. His urge for absorb knowledge and experience was being sated. When the tail around him became loose, he absorbed it. During that process he saw and felt what Strength was doing. It made him realize something about Cassandra's power that he had not known before. It seems that gravity itself had no grip on him if he was anchored to something. her move posed no threat to him so he did not move. He simply stood there looking at the impending floor.

Strength slammed the cube down as hard as she could with one arm. The impact caused the nearest surrounding cubes to dislodge and align awkwardly with the surrounding cubescape, and it kicked up enough dust to occlude the vision of the spectators.

She exhaled slowly and stood up to look down upon where she had just smashed the being.

"Get up. I saw you absorb my tail. I can do things like that too. If you're anything like me then stand up so I can hit you harder."

"You're welcome" Theo managed to reply before her next comment came.

Theo was at a loss for words for a moment. A moment interrupted by Gidget's laughter. It made him try and suppress a smile and laugh as well but failed.

"I've tried! I really have." Theo said to Gidget, faking desperation." I swear this is like a hidden power or something." He joked." Ahhhh..." Theo chuckled a bit before calming down.

"Sorry about that. And as much as I would like that. I would need to decline for a number of reasons. First of all, my heart belongs to Trinity and doing so would break her heart. Second, she would most likely assault you if you even attempted that despite my protest. Third....she would most definitely murder me if I said yes."

Legio put a hand on her should as he floated behind her. There wasn't even a speck of dust on him. Before impact he sunk through the shadows and exited right after impact. How he was keeping the dust away was a whole different story.

"But you have yet to hit me"

"You're welcome" Theo managed to reply before her next comment came.

Rydia looked sad for a moment. Then her ears perked up and she opened her mouth to speak.

"No, she wouldn't want to join in and have a threesome either." Gidget interrupted.

Her ears sank back down and she huffed, "Well, this has all been very disappointing."

She looked back to Theonis and sighed, "Personally, I can't understand why someone would remain mono-amorous, but Mother and Father seemed to be happy together. I suppose Trinity is fortunate to have someone as loyal as you."

Legio put a hand on her shoulder as he floated behind her. There wasn't even a speck of dust on him. Before impact he sunk through the shadows and exited right after impact. How he was keeping the dust away was a whole different story.

Strength's eyes went wide. Not with shock, however, but with rage.

"He's absorbed your power now, Strength. That means he has the same pros and cons as you. Let's see what you do with that." Eclipse shouted.

She grit her teeth and reconfigured another tail from her back. This one fired like a harpoon in an attempt to pierce the point blank Legio. The difference was that it was made from the metal she had acquired from the floating island. She couldn't remember what it was called, myth something.

He copied my power. she thought, So like my sisters and I, he can't absorb my metals.

If this worked, or even if it didn't, she would stop holding back.

Yeah she definitely does not that. Theo remembered her slapping him for joking about a threesome with Liv.

"You should tell her that so she might think twice about making about making huge choices on her own." Theo commented with a bit of a sigh.

"Anyway, I'm sure this has been an exhausting day for you. Go get some rest."

Legio failed to anticipate this sudden spike. It only half pierced him but did knock him back. Black blood freely from the wound but quickly stopped. As he laid on the floor something about that metal felt familiar. With his one hand he grabbed hold of it. There, he tried to do something but it failed. It appeared that his powers would not run through this. His biomass felt more...accepting of it. It slowly sunk deeper into him. Consuming the harpoon. This has gotten his attention.

"Tell me...where did you find this metal? It reminds me of....home."

Knowing the jig was up, the remaining soldiers turned off their camo. They numbered ten. The tint on their visors increased as one of them tossed a flash grenade toward Ako and Trinity. The intent was to blind Ako and keep Trinity's shadow manipulation to a minimum. A second after it landed, the grenade detonated with a flare that was comparably bright to a welding spark.

Trinity didn't have much time to react. She tried to leap away and covered her eyes to no avail. Like Ako, she too was blinded and had a ringing in her ears. Right now all she could rely on is her power. She was disconnected from it for a moment. She had to figure out quickly which were shadows she was surrounded by. In her mind she was reconstructing the world for a few seconds. But just like clearing a haze the shadows became clearer to her as the light from the grenade faded. Now with their camo turned off their shadows became more clear since the light could not go through them like before. These soldiers were able to take advantage of her disorientation.

Another message squawked over the soldier's earpieces. "Mikes are on the move. Separate Tangos and engage with weapons hot. Repeat, weapons hot."

The soldier's quickly holstered their melee weapons and brandished their rifles. They quickly swapped their magazines for one's labeled with a sun.

Silhouette felt something stir outside of Trinity. She watched the movements the soldiers made and remembered something from not that long ago. It was when they managed to capture Freya.

"Trinity, those are UV rounds. They will pierce the shadows!" she cautioned Trinity.

As the light from the flare dimmed, they opened fire on Trinity and Ako.

Rydia nodded and was about to leave when a distress signal on the of the few parts of Gidget's lab that wasn't destroyed. Her ear twitched as her curiosity got the better of her.

She looked to Gidget and asked, "That doesn't sound good. What does that sound mean?"

Gidget raised an eyebrow and made a quizzical sound. She opened her palm and transferred the signal to her holographic projector. It showed a map of Knoxville. There was a blinking light on the city limits. Gidget zoomed closer to the dot's location and saw that it was centered on a building that used to be a Bennigan's. Now it was just an empty husk that once housed Gidget's favorite place to eat when she was a kid.

"Well, this is highly unexpected. Someone is requesting extraction from this old place. The signal is specifically on our frequency. They want us."

She looked up to Theonis and asked, "Feel up to being a hero?"

Strength sneered and forcefully retracted the harpoon from his chest. There was an apparatus that she had reconfigured on her back. From her elbows down, her arms and hands began to reconfigure and distort into much larger hands that reached the ground when outstretched and were each twice the size of her torso. The fingers curled into fists and produced spikes from the knuckles.

She lifted the enormous fists and steadily approached Legio. The increased size of her arms seemed to have no effect on how she carried herself.

"Hell if I know where it came from. But if you're homesick, I think I can fix that!" she mocked as she brought her hands together over her head and brought them down on Legio in a hammer-fist motion.

Damien punched a few more walls out before turning around and bringing down large portions of debris in one large clump. He hoped it would be enough to slow the assailant down.

"That guy wont stop, but we need a plan. Deora, is there a place nearby we might be able to lose him?"

"Oh now what?" Theo exclaimed. He listened to Gidget's explanation.

"Yeah that totally doesn't sound like a trap after all that's happened today. Trinity's already in danger and now this." Theo sighed." But yeah, sure. It'd be nice to blow of some steam if it is a trap." He took out of his phone and transferred the location to it. He didn't get out that much these days. Theo was about to leave but remembered something. Reaching into his suit he pulled out a letter from Charles Ray addressed to Gidget.

"Almost forgot about this with all that's happened." The young head said as he gave the letter to Gidget.

The wound burst open as the harpoon was forcefully removed. He did manage to consume a part of it.

There was a shift in Legio's mentality when she said that she did not know. This was not a fight in his mind. As Dusk requested he was just indulging the girl. But she did not have information on what he really wanted to know. Legio now knew what she could do.

"I see.....then what good are you to me?" Legio spoke in his neutral voice but there was something off about the way he said it. Using his telekinesis he bound her in place before she could strike. Legio took his time getting up. Reaching out he placed his hands on Strength's head and grabbed hold. Staring her dead in the eye, he spoke to her." How much force can your head withstand? Let's find out, shall we?" Slow but steady he began his attempt to crush her head between his hands.
