More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Oh now what?" Theo exclaimed. He listened to Gidget's explanation.

"Yeah that totally doesn't sound like a trap after all that's happened today. Trinity's already in danger and now this." Theo sighed." But yeah, sure. It'd be nice to blow of some steam if it is a trap." He took out of his phone and transferred the location to it. He didn't get out that much these days. Theo was about to leave but remembered something. Reaching into his suit he pulled out a letter from Charles Ray addressed to Gidget.

"Almost forgot about this with all that's happened." The young head said as he gave the letter to Gidget.

Gidget's eyes widened. She quickly took the envelope from Theonis and tore it open.

"I'm going to be a while with this. You should probably bring some help just in case they have something tailor made for your powers."

Rydia looked over to Theonis and genuinely asked, "But, you do not know these people, or if it is even a trap. Why are you risking your life for these strangers?"

"I see.....then what good are you to me?" Legio spoke in his neutral voice but there was something off about the way he said it. Using his telekinesis he bound her in place before she could strike. Legio took his time getting up. Reaching out he placed his hands on Strength's head and grabbed hold. Staring her dead in the eye, he spoke to her." How much force can your head withstand? Let's find out, shall we?" Slow but steady he began his attempt to crush her head between his hands.

Strength grit her teeth as the pain began to sink in. She could feel a heat rising through her as the pain and anger built up. But Eclipse had said not to use it.

"Stop...don't....please...don't" she managed to whimper.

She rolled her eyes upward and caught site of the collective apathy that were the spectators of the battle. Were they going to stop this? Did they want her to die? No. She wasn't going to die. There was too much pain to cause still.

Her eyes returned to Legio's as the heat in her body was reaching a metaphorical boiling point. He couldn't see it, but her mouth was contorting into a maniacal grin.

"Please...don't stop. Hurt me...more."

Now there was a literal heat building up within her. It began to make the air around them quiver.

Eclipse uncrossed his arms and shouted, "Strength, I told you not to break your limiters."

She didn't hear him. She was too busy inviting more pain, more anger. She licked her lips as she felt her power grow with the rage.

Legio stopped crushing her skull when she said she wanted the pain. This was strange for him. Why would anyone wish for pain? It did not make sense. But it got him curious in her again. Especially after the air started to heat up again.

"Very well." Legio stated as a matter of fact.His arms fell at his side. Then in a fraction of a second they shot up again. However his arms were changed into a two massive blades similar to the ones Shane used. Legio intended to cut of the girls arms.

Theo nodded to Gidget but wasn't sure if he would. He turned to Rydia as she spoke to him.

"Wouldn't you want someone to come when you call for help? Could be one of us. And I am responsible for every single person here. And not to brag...but it does help being one of the strongest around. My power is very versatile."

Legio stopped crushing her skull when she said she wanted the pain. This was strange for him. Why would anyone wish for pain? It did not make sense. But it got him curious in her again. Especially after the air started to heat up again.

"Very well." Legio stated as a matter of fact.His arms fell at his side. Then in a fraction of a second they shot up again. However his arms were changed into a two massive blades similar to the ones Shane used. Legio intended to cut of the girls arms.

Strength looked up at the blades and glared at them as they gleemed in the light. She audlibly strained and moaned as loud grinding and clanking came from her back. Small flames began to lick up from the cracks between the cubes. There was a burst of pressure that emenated from her. She began to tremble as she fought the psychic hold on her body.

Eclipse was greatly vexed, but he was equally curious about how one of the girls could handle having an ancient bound to them.

She hollard defiantly once more and let out an enormous burst of pressure that rocked the cubes and bround flaming plumes from the cracks. She separated her hands and reach out to grab the bladed arms of Legio. From behind her back clanked two more giant first, poised similarly to the way he had with the blades.

Legio was impressed this girl could fight off his bindings with pure force despite him not being serious. She was giving it her all and it would be rude for him not to respond in kind.

"You did well." Legio stated before mercilessly cutting her down with an X shaped attack.

Trinity heard the troops loading their guns. She was able to sense enough to bring a dome around her. She did plan to call upon Silhouette burst through and continue the battle. Then she heard from her...

"Trinity, those are UV rounds. They will pierce the shadows!" she cautioned Trinity.

The troops opened fire and she could sense that her dome was not of much use. She dispersed it and tumbled toward the nearest form of cover she could find. I guess, you know you're doing something right when they make such preparations with you in mind...

Sil, their goal is to prevent us from getting to those 3 kids. I fear they are in danger... are you able to check on them and assist?

I know Ako is tough but I can't leave him here out numbered.


The ringing stopped and her vision started to return to her.

Theo nodded to Gidget but wasn't sure if he would. He turned to Rydia as she spoke to him.

"Wouldn't you want someone to come when you call for help? Could be one of us. And I am responsible for every single person here. And not to brag...but it does help being one of the strongest around. My power is very versatile."

Rydia chuckled and remarked, "That sounds like something my father would say."

She walked back to Theonis and stated, "I think I'll come with you. My left eye could be of use for spotting an ambush."

Gidget was pacing around and nearly tripped over Thea. She had totally forgotten that the girl was there. Her existence was something Gidget wasn't sure she could process right now.

"Um, before you go, what should we do with her?"

"Gonna be hard with an eyepatch but alright. Just stay close."Theo commented.

"Finder's keepers I suppose. But that aside....I am not sure how she would react in a strange bedroom with nobody around. She should at least see someone familiar. I'm sure Cassandra wouldn't mind looking after her. She does love kids."

The blades cut through her easily. However, it was not blood that poured from her veins, it was fire.

Her four parts reconnected themselves almost as quickly as she had been cut apart. Within seconds she was made whole again.

She grinned maniacally at Legio and hissed, "More, let me feel it!"

She took one more step toward him and raised all four of her arms, only to have them fall at her sides like dropped weights. The flames around them died down as she made a futile attempt to pick her arms back up.

"What?!" she screamed.

Eclipse had seen enough. He glided down behind Strength and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"And that's why I told you not to break it. Your bond with Pyre is still weak, and so your power lasted less than ten seconds. You're lucky it didn't destroy you. That being said, I'll keep you alive since you managed to survive that."

Strength ground her teeth and cried out in anger as she pulled against her useless arms. Her orange eyes glared daggers at Legio. She kept wailing even as her arms began to go back to normal. When she was finally back to how she started, she weakly crawled to Legio. With every drag she was reaching for him repeating, "You. Kill you. I'll kill you. I'll kill you."

Eclipse rolled his eyes and sighed. With one swift movement he struck a nerve bundle in her neck, knocking her out cold. He scoffed, "Yea yea."

The other three girls dropped down next to their fallen sister. The one with the moon on her mask, Luna, produced a small orb that flattened out into an oblong shape large enough for one of them. The other two picked the unconscious girl up and placed her on the "plate." It raised itself from the ground and hovered with the other two while Luna walked behind it to maintain control.

Eclipse watched them remove the failure and then returned his attention to Legio.

"Your only the second person to have worked her up that much, and likewise the only other person to have beaten her."

"That's not so impressive considering you're an accidental melting pot of copied and inherited powers." he spat.

"I'm not envious or bitter by any means, just disappointed she couldn't do more than stab you the one time."

It was not what Legio expected at all.The first part of him slicing through her was. But what followed was beyond his current understanding. His mind tried to construct a proper analysis. Did she possess two powers? No, he would have obtained it too. It was something else. Interesting.

But it seemed it was short lived as this new strange power failed her. Dusk came gliding down. Pyre? He spoke about it as if it was a being not an object. Legio surmised it was a being of fire. The word Pyre reminded him of a funeral pyre. He would have to look into that.

He merely smiled at Strength as she was crawling towards him. One of his blades raised slightly before lowering again as Dusk knocked her out. The other girls that came down also possessed interesting abilities from what he had seen.

"I assume the first person would be you." He commented. Dusk may say he was not envious or bitter but his previous action would say otherwise.

"Were you expecting her to win? You would have lost her had see not rejuvenated by fire.I have gained much from this interaction. I thank you for this." Legio said with a polite nod. "It did raise more questions. That metal felt familiar as well as this Pyre" He suddenly cocked his head a bit as his hair and eyes flared up into a light green color." Relative of yours?"

Silhouette went silent for a few seconds as she considered what Trinity just asked of her.

"...Yes. All you need do is give me permission to leave your side within the shadow realm, but there is a danger in this. The farther I am from you, and the longer I am separated from you, the more likely I am to lose my sanity. If we do this, it must be quick, and I must be allowed to make our separation as short as possible. That means killing if need be."

Kerana

Her friends needed time to come up with a plan, Kerana swallowed hard Be brave Kerana... be brave... "Hey! Wait a minute!" she called toward the assailant beyond the rubble. "You confused me for your mother a m-moment a-go... Could it be possible that you may have confused me for my mother? Who may somehow be your mother?" The fox girl's fist clenched to somewhat steady her resolve, she had to try. As she made this address her tail was wrapped around her stomach.

The boy was steadily eating through the rubble with his power until Kerana asked her question. He walked up to the makeshift barricade and placed a hand on it as though he were making an attempt to reach out to Kerana.

"Same mother? Are you Kerana?"

"Gonna be hard with an eyepatch but alright. Just stay close."Theo commented.

Rydia couldn't help but laugh at the comment about the covering on her eye.

"This 'patch' isn't there because my eye is damaged. It's keeping my eye from damaging everyone else. But I digress, lead the way Overseer."

Gidget made an awkward face and groaned, "Yea, okay. Be careful guys."

She watched them leave before looking down at Thea and sighing. "Okay, you don't look all that heavy. I should be able to carry you to Cass' room."

She squatted down and put her hands behind Thea's neck and knees. With one motion she lift at her knees only to go absolutely nowhere.

"Holy!" she exclaimed quietly. She tried twice more before giving up and giving a call to Cassandra and Alexavier's room.

"Hold on kid. Cassandra should be able to move you."
