Alec looked down at his hands. Kerana may treat him like an equal, but in the end he was still a slave. But first thing's first.

"We can talk about that later. Right now there is a woman on the other side of the wall that more or less poisoned us. What does she want with us?"

Alec stood up and clenched his fists. His eyes flahed and burned a predatory gold. His teeth ground and transformed as he growled, "That b***h!"

Nova saw the symbol didn't know the true meaning of it. After all...he could only know so much. She sure sounds convincing if I didn't know any better

" That is....terrible. You have my condolences. I never knew this Trinity would do something like that."

Curse that woman for getting my name wrong over and over!

"Shadow magic you say? But so far there haven't been any case of Shadow Magic causing the same level of corruption as Darkness Magic does. But perhaps it is true....hmmm she might have.." Nova said and began to trail off. He found it funny that people made things up about magic when he knew pretty much all there is to know about it. But still..he had to stay in character.

Seemingly snapping out of it, he gazed upon Lady Shara." My apologies Lady Shara, I tend to drift off in thoughts when it comes to magic. You have my deepest and most sincere apology that I had forgotten your presence even if it was for a fraction of a second"

Alec couldn't believe that he had to try and pander to a woman that wants to kill the one he loves. He took a deep breath through his nose and exhaled slowly. His features softened, but something caught his attention. He sniffed the air a few times. There was a familiar scent in the room.

"Do you have some of that powder on you?"

Alec smiled with pride from behind his curtain of dark hair. "There isn't an ingredient that exists in nature that my nose can't pick apart. I will have to taste some of it too, in case there is are scentless ingredients."

Taking no chance huh? Shouldn't have gotten so irritated over my name. Dammit, rookie mistake. Good thing she doesn't realize there are so many ways for me to avoid that powder. Should I keep going or expose myself? No, after this she will think that she as won and drop her guard. I'll keep going

" By all means, my Lady." Nova replied with a smile. Applying a small barrier of Wind Magic to serve as a filter around his head,he looked at her. Shortly after he sneezed." My apologies" He got up and walked over to the window to open it. He simply leaned on the window frame breathing in the fresh air, His filter was still applied until he was sure it was safe.

" My mother, well..the woman who raised me, always said that a woman should have her privacy when applying her make-up and only when she is done should the man be able look again." Nova said as he stared out of the window, a soft breeze danced through his hair.

" Yes, it is a bit windy. But it is also a beautiful night." Nova said as he looked at the stars. He lowered his barrier." Such beauty tonight....and the stars too." Nova said as he glanced at Shara. It was obvious which beauty he meant.

Alec reached into his satchel and pulled out what looked like a surgeon's mask. He shook his head. "Right now I can only recognize the two flowers used in it's creation. I will need to sniff it through this, as well as taste it, to get the complete list."
