They stepped out of the shadows in Gidgets lab.
…

"Okay...so...today is one of those days. Where everything goes to s**t at the same time. Like some kind of manga. Might wanna take a seat for this one." Theo said before starting his story.

"Rydia and I went to check out a distress signal Gidget received, Turns out...it came from a tear in time and space! As in, a tear to another freaking universe. A different timeline. Both alternate and future. In their time...we failed to stop Legion and pretty much doomed humanity. I do not know how many years into the future it is. I am guessing 17 years from now or so." He took a small pause to let things sink in. Crossing his arms he leaned against the wall.

"Legion consumed all but 10 people. Kids mostly. Well...8 by now. We are not among those people. The Deacalum or Hell Star also arrived there. From that moment on Legion became more violent and active. They somehow scanned multiple universes and this one was the safest. They should be at the medbay right now. Full check up. I've seen what happens what happens if you get infected by Legion." Theo finished his crazy report.

Trinity sat down as Theo recommended near Gidget. He began to explain the background. They failed to take down Legion... she was part of that failure. Even though there was nothing she could have done to prevent this from happening she couldn't help but feel awful, these kids she let them down she failed them. She always felt the world was on their shoulders but now, there was evidence for that.

With so many feelings of doubt beginning to build she shook her head No! She shot back up and slammed her hands on a part of the desk. She silently stood and listen. This is their safest option? I guess I'm doing something right… but still…

After a deep breath she turned to Theo and asked, "Did you fill them in on what is currently going on here? Despite their findings this timeline has its own set of dangers." Something else occurred to her, "The Hell Star came to their world. Do they have some incite about possible weaknesses this may have? Or even where it showed up? Eclipse has to summon it… if their history can point out where he is, then it could be our chance to stop him." Finally something positive toward the next confrontation with Eclipse, even though it may be quite a stretch.

Theo watched Trinity's reaction. Guess she really knew how he felt now.

"First thing I did telling them that something is trying to summon the Hell Star. Ravan said she'd deal with the Hell Star herself but I think she was being overconfident. She was the first one to come to this side. The only way to truly kill the spawn of Legion and possibly the Hell Star...would be either fire...or a black hole. The latter Ravan can make. Which is also why there is a big hole where the signal came from. One of those things also came through. She took care of it." Theo explained.

"As for Eclipse....they said that suddenly it appeared. I do not think they even know about him. Even if they did, I am not sure it could help. The time lines are already vastly different."

Gidget was happy to see that Kerana was still capable of being happy in spite of Alec's death. "Sure. Tell them I said it was okay."

She then nodded to Cassandra before turning her attention to Deora.

"Good handling danger today, Kiddo. I knew Trinity was right when she said there was something special about you, but I guess I really had no idea."

"On that note, there is another someone special that could probably use a friend. Heather was successfully brought back. She's either in her room or Liv's. Why doncha go see how she's holding up?"

Deora smiled proudly at Gidget's praise, brushing a stray bit of hair back behind her ear. "Gracias, I had no idea either." She looked from Gidget to Ako and back before saying, "I'll go check on Heather now." She made her way out to the hallway to give them the room, and pulled out her phone to figure out where Heather's room was.

Trinity listened to Theonis' answer she folded her arms leaned toward the desk, facing him. Her brows furrowed at the sound of there being black hole laying about. She looked to Gidget briefly hoping she had a way to contain or disperse such a thing before people or other things get pulled in.

Then he responded to her idea that they might know based on their time line where Eclipse might be. She knew it was a bit of a stretch so she wasn't surprised that the kids weren't able to help in regards to that.

She took a moment to herself to look him over. She never grew tired of seeing him in a suit, even if it's a little scuffed up based on his encounter that happened not that long ago. She couldn't help but love the fact, that despite how big the responsibility of it all he was brave enough to take initiative to fill in that gap. With his ability of acellerated learning and information absorbtion he was able to fit the role naturally. At least it seemed to her that way. Even though he may have had moment like he had not long ago because of that responsibility, she was glad she could help him ease his concerns.

But back to the matter at hand. What to do about Eclipse and the Hell Star he wants to bring down onto this world? One thing is for certain, she was tired of him getting the drop on them. It was time to return him a favor. But how?

Legio felt her strength increase for someone who's body would be breaking down earlier she sure had a lot of reserves. What was her secret behind this power? Looking at their clutched hands he noticed he was getting pushed back. It made him....happy. This did show on his face.

"What's next? How are you going to overpower me? Focusing your power and channeling it inward?" Legio asked as he held his ground.

Freya was both perplexed and angered at his joy. But he did raise a good question. How was she going to do it without resorting to...

Her eyes showed a hint of fear as her thoughts went back to the last one on one conversation with her father.

"What's up Dad? You never talk to me alone unless it is stalker related."
Freya, then only 14, looked up at the only person who understood her affliction. Because it was his fault.

Kotetsumaru wasn't a large man, but his influence, strength, and respectability made him seem like a legend in her eyes.

He smiled at his little cub and responded, "You are correct, Freya. I feel that you are far enough along in our exercises to learn a hard truth regarding the nature of our curse."

"What else is there to know? Every knew moon Okami takes over. It's been that way since I was born."

Her father raised a brow, showing disapproval of her tone and interruption. Normally, during lessons, this resulted in her being struck across the knuckles. While she protested, he knew she secretly appreciated his methods of training her body. This time, however, he wasn't her teacher. He was her father.

"I am afraid it is not so simple. What I explained to you as a child was an oversimplification for your benefit." he sighed.

He waved for her to have a seat in front of him. She didn't hesitate to accept the gesture and sat on her legs. As soon as she was settled, he sat down in the same manner.

"The wolf spirits that inhabit us are indeed separate, and that protects us from their influence. Even you, with the ears and tail, maintain a semblance of self."

He paused for a brief moment as he thought about how he was going explain the grim reality of what was to come for them.

"But, over time, that separation begins to break down, causing the human and wolf spirits to be awake at the same time. The two that were once in balance, fight for control. Once the wall is gone, the internal struggle becomes external, and both the wolf and the human are lost to the madness and creates a monster more dangerous than either were separately."

Freya, whose hands had been laying her her lap. clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white. She felt sick, and her eyes began to shudder with confusion as she understood what he was saying. So many questions flew through her young mind, but only one came out.

"How long?" she choked out.

He lowered his gaze as he responded, "For you, since you are your mother's child, probably close to two human lifetimes. I, however-"

Her gaze focused on him and she stood up defiantly. "No!" she screamed. "You're lying! This is another one of your tests! We can't...I can't."

"I am sorry, Freya" he said calmly. Her tantrums were not rare, and it was best to let them run their course.

But he hadn't accomplished what she had in his short, mortal life. After the incident that caused the ruin of the city she and Legio battled in, she had finally accepted the beast within her. Through meditation and discipline she didn't believe she possessed, they spoke to one another.
They knew what was coming in the far future, and agreed to prepare themselves by learning to live and trust each other.

But the preparations only took them so far, and they knew what to come was truly inevitable. But it wasn't for naught...

The fear from her eyes was replaced by the steel gaze of determination. She growled, "Actually, we're going to let it out."

She grunted and moaned in pain as her legs and feet cracked and reshaped themselves from plantigrade to digitigrade, Her muscles burned and pulsated the changes went up her body, causing her ribs and shoulders to expand. Her hands swelled into more bestial dimensions, but she still maintained her opposable thumbs.

She looked deep into his eyes as her own welled up with tears of agony.
She barely managed to strain out the words, "Step 3. The fury unleashed. " before her face contorted and snapped into that of a wolf.

Her aura flashed, crackled, and then burst into a furious red. They were awake, they were angry, and they bellowed a terrifying roar into the face of Legio that made the three girl standing by Eclipse look to him in fright.

"Well." Eclipse chuckled, "He did ask."

Internally, Freya and Okami were vying for a balance that they knew they couldn't maintain for long.

They pushed down with their right hand, and twisted their left arm to the outside to create an opening.

"Ye-You said it yourself m-my feelings are eratic... Please... fix m-my source..." she hesitated but continued, "and then we'll know for sure what I can or can not do... "

"Please... not another word about Alec... I know you may not understand..."

The kitsune girl took a tole after all she went through in a brief span of time. All the crying, all the emotional roller-coaster she had been going through and the transformation has left her exhausted she did not know how else to explain it and she was not in the right frame of mind. She dropped down to her knees looking down and offering her wrists.

Was it selfish of her to ask only for what she knew for certain was possible and not what was to her impossible?

Damien winced at the girl's outburst. He felt guilty for pushed her so hard, for taking advantage of her fragile state. But there was something pushing him. Something he didn't understand yet he accepted it regardless.

He nodded his head softly before taking her hands into his.

"Take a deep breath and calm yourself as best as you can. Heather was in pain and dying, and I saved her. Trust that I will save you."

The flesh of his hands became one with her's, and the process began. Though not so dramatic as before, since she was almost there, the light glowed gently from their union

Standing over the boy's shoulder, a figure wavered into existence. It soon took the shape of a young woman of vibrant beauty and expression. Her bright red hair seemed to drift into nothing as she smiled softly at Kerana.

"I guess you can see me now, huh? Don't worry, you aren't crazy, just special in that they can't see me. I'm the spirit of Vivi, the aspect of Life's Vigor. Don't be too mad at the kid. I was kinda edging him on without his knowing it."

"I'm sorry to do this to you, but there's something terrible trying to make it's way to your world. It may seem insane, but you're going to help put an end to it. It's just like your mom said, you bring life and love."

She began to fade away as Damien's process completed itself. She winked at Kerana before she was gone and whispered, "Believe in yourself. Cliche, but true."

Damien retracted his connection and looked up at Kerana with a weak smile.

"There. How do you fe-" he faded.

The world around him spun. He had overexerted himself and began to fall forwards.

Ravan was annoyed with the approached of the cat-lady. She would much rather stay with the injured man. But the idea of a shower did sound good.

"Fine, but don't expect me to be too talkative. I'm tired, dirty, and pissed."

Rydia wasn't at all phased by the girl's attitude. It reminded her of Freya. She took the lead and directed Ravan to follow.

"I am sure that you know the layout of this place, what with it existing in your timeline. But you may find some people here that you do not know."

Gidget had indeed taken a seat, and after hearing what Theonis had to say she was glad of it. She couldn't believe how everything just seemed to happen all at once that day. It was just like Theonis said, it seemed like it was scripted.
Now there were kids from an alternate future to care for.

"Huh...well...I guess we can be thankful that the black hole was closed, or else the planet would still be getting sucked into it. she joked nervously.

The jokes were through when she hung her head in her hands and moaned. "When will this day stop crapping on us?"

Shs looked up and slid her hands down over her mouth. She spoke in muffles, "If they made it back here my future self probably had a hand in it. Did she send anything back with the kids?"

Deora_Alvarez

Deora smiled proudly at Gidget's praise, brushing a stray bit of hair back behind her ear. "Gracias, I had no idea either." She looked from Gidget to Ako and back before saying, "I'll go check on Heather now." She made her way out to the hallway to give them the room, and pulled out her phone to figure out where Heather's room was.

Heather was sitting at Liv's bedside. She gazed lovingly at the woman she considered her greatest treasure. It struck her as funny, especially since they had only met a little over a month ago. Yet she was perfectly content with watching the blonde beauty sleep.

She had gone to get her phone from her dorm while getting food. It buzzed quietly on the nightstand as it clued Deora into her location.

Liv softly mumbled something incoherent in her sleep.

Cassandra was watching over her son do his...thing. She still think it looked odd. It had never occurred to her that he never mentioned anything about 'fixing' his parents. Perhaps she and Alexavier were already fully connected. Her attention snapped back to Damian as his stopped mid sentence. Swiftly she caught him. Cass didn't waste any time and picked him up, carrying him in her arms.

"He needs to rest "

"Yeah, Future Gidget did have a hand in it. Or at least her creation. A little robot ball called Digit. Like Haro from those Gundam shows. I think one of them took it with them. " Theo responded. "We should let them get checked out, washed and fed first. They need it."

Legio watched with wide open eyes as Freya transformed. It was quite a sight up close. Right now she was stronger not just because of the now red aura. Oh how he wanted to see what was next. His green hair and eyes showed his happiness. Due to the force his arms begun to crack

In Thea's mind his voice echoed." Everything related to the mind."
But then she slowly began to levitate. " Oh and this."

Thea was perplexed at first by the echo in her mind. She didn't think voices could come from anything but outside.

Her confusion was quickly replaced by elation when she began to float. She began to giggle and then laugh uncontrollably.

"Ahehehaah, I'm flying! You're special is the best special! I've always wanted to fly." she cried out in joy.

She rubbed her temples, feeling a headache coming on. It was made vastly worse when she realized something.

She snapped her head up, her eyes wide, and then stood up shaking her hands nervously, "Whoa! You said they came from the future, right?! No, of course you did, why did I - anyway. If they are as young as you described, could some of them be our kids?" she asked frantically.

Legio watched with wide open eyes as Freya transformed. It was quite a sight up close. Right now she was stronger not just because of the now red aura. Oh how he wanted to see what was next. His green hair and eyes showed his happiness. Due to the force his arms begun to crack

Freya and Okami continued to work together through the fog of rage that was empowering themselves and the aura.

They forcibly twisted their right wrist until the had something of a grip with their claws, and then pushed forward suddenly and forceably. They used the leverage of their increased height to raise their right haunch and kick at his chest while pulling back with their arms. The kick was accompanied with a burst of red concussive force that fired from their paw like a projectile.

Theo rubbed the back of his head. He wanted to tell this to Trinity in private but now he kind of had to.

"One of them is Trinity's and mine." He looked over to Trinity."I'm not kidding. He should be in the med bay right now. I haven't had a talk with the rest. Hell I haven't even had a talk with him yet despite literally carrying him here. Let's...talk to him together when we can alright?" Theo asked a bit hesitantly."Man, this is weird...."
