More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

The head however was dangling from the tongue that was tied around her neck. But strangely enough....it's grip did not loosen. In fact it seemed to slowly pull itself up by retracting the tongue.

The wolf felt the grip around their body loosen. With one burst of concussive force, they blew the tentacles and barbs off of them. The blood flowed freely as soon as there was nothing left to hold it in. Their first thought was to sacrifice more of their humanity to heal, but then it dawned on them that Legio's tongue was still around their neck. They looked down at the approaching head and whined.

Just die already!

Tear him off us.

The aura is weakening. We're losing to much blood. We don't have the strength.

One last attack

It's going to have to be.

The wolf held her hands in front of her and toward the head. She lost the silver aura and focused the red one entirely into her hands. With a roar of defiance she let lose everything she had with a concussive force that shook the ground, cracked the pavement, and blew out what few windows were left around them. A plume of dust kicked up and occluded the view of Eclipse and the others.

The head tried to devour the attack but it was in vain. It held the orb at bay for a short second before it overwhelmed it.
The blast blew away whatever was left of the tendrils around her. The tongue still around her neck but it didn't move. Right now it just looked like a weird fleshy tie. What it used to be attached to was nowhere to be found. Crushed and scattered by the explosive force

"Liv Crystalion Acula. It's been a few months since I disappeared and left all of you. But you can't have forgotten me that quickly Ravan. I barely managed to get through that Time Machine." Cystalion explained.

"But I'm sure you've got a lot on your mind right now and you've every right to be angry at me but...take a shower and...we'll talk properly afterwards okay?"

Ravan's mind raced furiously. Nothing that came out of Liv's mouth made sense to her. Her world's Liv was dead. She was supposed to be dead. But then her mind reached a very dark place.

She yanked her hands away from "Liv" and doubled the gravity around her. She clenched her teeth and yelled, "So you thought you'd consume Liv, take her powers, and then teleport right here?! I've been killing you things my entire life! Do you think I'm stupid?! Do you think I care about her that much?! Answer me!!! I WANT TO HEAR YOUR LAST LIE BEFORE I CRUSH YOU WITH YOUR OWN WEIGHT!!!"

Her eyes were trembling and wild. Ravan was on the brink of losing herself to the perpetual battlemind she had been subjected to since she was barely out of diapers.

"Ravan, calm down please!" Crystalion said trying to calm her down while fighting the double gravity." I went missing at night! I left to keep the Titan class beasts away from you all, So that you all could live a little easier. Think back Rav, how many of those giant Titans did you encounter after I was gone?" The woman tried to explain. She could cancel Ravan's power but that would take away the only control she had. Who knew what that would do to her?

As the dust settled, the wolf lay panting and motionless as they allowed their lycanthropy to slowly heal their open wounds. Their aura, and their strength, was spent. The haze of the creeping beast was making it harder for them to think.

Haha! We did it.

Hurting less now.

Best we change back to me and get a ki injection.

Good. It'll be nice to rest after this.

Lucky you. I'll try not to die.

The wolf closed their eyes and let out a deep breath. A few seconds passed, then almost ten, but nothing about them changed. Their eyes snapped open in horror as a realization struck them. They had crossed the threshold by healing wounds that would have killed a normal human. They couldn't change back. They had lost their body to the beast. It was only a matter of time until they would lose their mind.

no. No. No! NO!

The wolf howled in agony at the inevitability of their identity death. They flipped over on their stomach and clawed at the ground in anguish, tears flowed freely.

Eclipse chuckled gleefully at what transpired in front of him. He had known was Freya was risking by going full wolf. He was delighted to see that she was going to be out of his hair soon.
All that was left was for Legio to come back like a movie monster.

...Any second now.

Ravan studied Liv for a few seconds. If a beast had taken Liv's powers, it would've canceled her gravity. Plus there had been a vastly fewer number of Titans attacking them the last few months.

She restored the room's gravity and knealed down to meet Liv's eyes. She hissed, "Explain."

The remains of the tongue started to make smaller tendrils. A lot smaller. They slow crept across her body looking for open wounds to enter. It wasn't very noticeable. But what was noticeable was Legio's lower body. It was standing where it once laid and started to walk towards her. With each step something grew out of it that seemed to resemble an upper body. But it was far to disgusting to even call it that. A lump of mutated flesh was a better description.

The wolf was still huffing and wailing when their ear spun in the direction of the lumbering horror coming their way. Their eyes snapped open and their head turned.

Goddamnit!

How?!

The wolf's fight or fight response kicked in, and their animal instincts made them shuffle away as fast as they could. It was a struggle, as their strength and were critically low.

Their fur on their body was standing on end. The physical response made them realize there was something on their body. They had smelled Legio on them, but they thought it was from his tongue and tendrils. But they could feel something, no, a lot of somethings in their fur.

The beast forced them to panic and scratch where it could feel the crawling. In their fright, they broke the skin where they were scratching.

Crystalion took a deep breath.

"Ever since that...thing appeared in the sky, you know it got worse. And it would have kept on getting worse and worse. I....I knew something had to be done. I can kill just as easily as you can. You know that. Ever since I left...I've been fighting them. Luring them away, killing them. Almost with pause. I had to. It would have been impossible to find this world if those Titans kept following us." She carefully explained. Crystalion swallowed her emotions down. There was this lump in her throat. All of this didnt feel right. It never did.

"It wasn't easy you know. Every day I wanted to just pop back and tell you all I'm doing alright. But I couldn't. How would you all have been able to focus if you kept on worrying if I would show up that day? But I had to do it. You all deserved a future. And I did my best to try and give it to you."

"Not even for your kids?! Dawn was a wreck for days, and I had to keep Leo from searching for you." she retorted.

She threw he hands up and groaned, "Urgh, I'll never understand people like you! What gives you the right to go on a suicide mission alone and without telling anyone and make us all think you were dead? You pop back up with a hug, a smile, and treating me like the mother that didn't abandon me. Oh wait! You did!!! As least I can be happy that, this time, I wasn't alone."

She turned away from Liv, hands on her hips, and huffed. In a more collected tone and volume she asked, "How did you make it through the rift? I was the first and last one out. I had to go back because your son held the line so the kids could make it through."

The parasite-like worms quickly took the opportunity to dig inside of the freshly opened skin. Once inside they did what any part of Legio was made to do. Devour and grow. With each passing second they nestled deeper. Spreading like a cancer.

Crystalion listened to her words. They cut deep. If she knew she would see them again then she would have handled it differently. The woman refrained from responding to that.

"Light. Turned myself into a stream of light and leaped in as it was closing. All their movements became focused. They were honing in on the place despite my best efforts to keep them off of you. That's how I found it. If I didn't make it, I would have....accepted that fate. Knowing that you all made it." Crystalion explained as she looked down.

She took a deep breath and become more like the woman she was before. She stood up firmly planting her feet on the ground and crossed her arms.

"I don't expect you to understand my reasons. Maybe one day when you have kids of your own you might understand."

Oh my God!

They're inside us!

The wolf whined and howled in pain as they felt their insides being devoured. They thrashed and convulsed. They began to cough up blood and bleed from their nose.

We're going to die!

We'll take them all with us.

I don't want to die!

You think I'm happy about this? I still had s**t to do.

I'm going to miss everyone.

Me too Ami...me too.

The wolf threw their hand into the pouch on their right thigh and pulled out two auto injectors. They bit the caps off and spit them out before jamming the needles into their outer thigh.

A few more seconds of internal pain went by. Then it was accompanied by an infernal burn that spread throughout their body from their thigh.

Their eyes became red with fury, making the gold of their irises glow. They bared their fangs and snarled, as the fire built up to a boiling point.

They arched their back let out an unearthly bellow and forced the heat from their body from the inside with an explosive burst that forced the parasites out, but didn't destroy them. The exiting parasites left holes in her body that bled profusely from not only the trauma the bugs caused, but the excess ki forcing it out.

With renewed energy, the wolf hopped from the ground and hunched down to all fours, ready for their last fight. Swung their head up to the sky and howled. The fire from within manifested itself and surrounded her- no their body in all three auras.
The excess ki made them unstable and caused them to swirl around her body in various sized segments. The aura caused the blood to stop, but the wounds remained open.

"Light. Turned myself into a stream of light and leaped in as it was closing. All their movements became focused. They were honing in on the place despite my best efforts to keep them off of you. That's how I found it. If I didn't make it, I would have....accepted that fate. Knowing that you all made it." Crystalion explained as she looked down.

She took a deep breath and become more like the woman she was before. She stood up firmly planting her feet on the ground and crossed her arms.

"I don't expect you to understand my reasons. Maybe one day when you have kids of your own you might understand."

Ravan spun back around and glared daggers at Liv. "You knew they were coming?" she spat. "You can travel at the speed of light! You saw their pattern! You could've helped us!!!"

The table lamp embedded itself into the nightstand.

"Davis is dead! He was infected!"

A chair flew up into the ceiling and stayed up.

"Leo fought them off alone!"

The bed on the far side imploded into a ball of wood, springs, and cushioning.

"Now he's in medical! Did you know?! Do you even care?!"

The chair fell to the floor with a crash. She stormed up to Liv with fire and tears in her eyes.

"He could be dying! The only person that I care about could die!!!"

She charged and started hammering at Liv's chest with her petite fists. As destructive as her power was, her malnurashed and exhausted muscles made her "attack" no more effective than that of an angry kitten batting at a yarn ball.

"All so you could save your own a**, you b***h!" she screamed. Her flailing began to wind down as the screaming turned to crying She left her fists on Liv's chest, and then she dropped her face into the woman's bossom. The crying turned to wailing and sobbing.

"He could die. I can't lose him. I don't know what I would do without him." she sobbed. The soldier fell away. All that was left was a young woman afraid of losing the man she loved.
