ENDLESS JOURNEYS (O/A)

[Nova Blancke]

" That is....too bad. I was hoping to enjoy your company for a much longer period" He took Shara's hand and kissed it. " But if my Lady wishes to say farewell to this day, then who am I to say otherwise?" Nova replied smoothly.

" Perhaps next time I can convince you to let me stay. " He walked towards the door. " I had a good time my Lady and hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did. Sleep well." Nova said and stepped out of the room and softly closed it.

Well that was harder than I thought. Didn't get anything out of her. Then again I screwed up. Luckily I managed to correct that error. If anything she things I'm under her control even more. Guess it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Entering his room he took off his robe and began to unlace his shirt. " Nothing so far. But I suppose she thinks she learned a few things. Which should keep her sated for now." Nova said. " Alec, she asked me to send you back to your post. You suggested it so now you have to keep up appearances and guard her room." He sat down on the bed and took off his shoes.

Gliding through under the cover of the night sky Alejandro hears a voice in the darkness of his ears as he nears the town where everyone else is. "Alejandro..." the voice was soft and familiar. It came from the one riding in his shadow, Trinity. "How are we doing? Are we almost there?"

The sun was going down, the white clouds slowly becoming grey, the sky darkening. Alejandro had been flying mostly half-awake, as he had done many times before. Usually, he was lost in thought or simply zoned out. It almost caused the message that was spoken to him go by unheard. "Hmm? Oh, yeah, were above a village now if you want to stop in." He replied just before yawning. Flying this long wasn't a problem, he was used to even longer flights, something was wearing him down. He didn't mind though, it was probably a good idea for his companion to rest. "I bet that there is an inn down there, I suggest we stop in, and you get some rest." He pointed out.

"Actually I'd thought you'd be the one who could use some rest. You've been doing all the flying. I on the other hand wouldn't mind a stop. I could use some food and an out house if you get my drift." The Lone Wolf Tavern and Inn, the place where everyone else was staying happened to be in his sights.

Ale nodded, even if nobody was around to receive it. "Then without further wait..." He quickly said, before looping upwards then dropping into a high speed dive. He easily reached 100km/h, but he was holding back. "Were off!" He yelled in a joking manner. He enjoyed dives from high altitudes at high speeds, though it often gave the people around him a heart attack. Just as he reached a certain distance above the ground, he quickly leaned upwards, bringing him into a glide just above the tree line. With the help of the cover of darkness, even to best trained eye would have difficulties tracking him. He came to a soft landing on the roof of the inn. "And... We have arrived. I hope you enjoyed your flight, and be sure to pick Air-Valk for any future flights." He joked. On the outside he seemed fine, but on the inside something was draining his strength. But it could be solved later, nothing serious.

Alec glanced at Kerana falling asleep and smiled softly at her. Then the thought of someone tricking him into killing her returned. His fists clenched as he returned his attention to Nova.

"Alright, but first I need that sample of the powder Kerana gave you. I'm going to attempt to create something to counteract it."

Nova yawned and took off his shirt. It had been a long day without the proper sleep of the previous night.

His hand vanished in his robes and reappeared holding the bottle. He tossed it over to Alec but made sure he would be able to catch it. After that he realized perhaps he should set up a small form of protection around the inn. A barrier would take too much out of him at the moment. Plus it's usually enough to display magic as a deterrent. He tweaked his Tracking Spell so that it would endlessly circle around the inn warning him when it detected magic. He hoped it wouldn't be the case because he would really love to get some proper sleep. He send out 4 groups of 2 spheres, each circling around one other almost playing. The sphere's when through the wall and drifted down. They began to circle around the Inn.

He came to a soft landing on the roof of the inn. "And... We have arrived. I hope you enjoyed your flight, and be sure to pick Air-Valk for any future flights." He joked. On the outside he seemed fine, but on the inside something was draining his strength. But it could be solved later, nothing serious.

Trinity emerged from his shadow on the roof top revealed by the moonlight.Air-Valk? His people have a strange sense of humor... Trinity smirked at his joke. She was no stranger to roof tops, she seemed as comfortable as she would be if she were on the ground. Her voice was soft but could be heard by Alejandro, "Well, I must say that was the smoothest trip I've had in a while. Alright, let's see if we can get a room. Don't mind sharing a room with two beds do you?" before he answered. She dropped through her shadow and emerged from the side of the building to not attract attention and looked up to Alejandro.

Ale quickly pulled his cloak over his head and proceeded to jump down beside Trinity. He landed soundlessly. "Not at all." He replied to her earlier question. He took a small look around the alleyway, feeling as if somebody was watching them from a distance, but felt his energy slowly started to return as he walked away down the alley. What could have been causing this? Anti magic barrier? Nah, Trinity would have been affected as well. He pondered the many possibilities, but non of them seemed logical, so he just gave up on it and followed Trinity out from the alley. Maybe it really was the fact that somebody was in his shadow that drained him during flight? He would have to look into it later on, as when they would reach the mountain, there was only one way up...

Alec nearly dropped the vile after juggling in the air a bit, but he managed to keep it safe. He huffed a sigh of relief and took his leave. He dropped down on the chair in the hallway with his satchel. He slipped the mask over his face and unpopped the cork. It would take him most of the night, but he was determined to find a counter measure. To the witch's powder.

Trinity hid her face with her hood as she lead the way to the Lone Wolf Inn. She went to the inn keeper's desk and made her request for a room with 2 beds. Then paid the man. She then asked about the out house and the man pointed the direction to where it was. But before she went she handed one of the room keys to Alejandro. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable. I'l grab some dinner and head up in a bit."

She head to the out house.

Ale nodded as Trinity rushed away. He began to walk towards the stairs when suddenly a beauty slowly came towards him and locked eyes with him. He gazed at her for a moment, then returned to his senses. "Forgive me, but I am afraid that I cannot accept any company for the moment. I am terribly sorry. I have just had a hard day if travel and wish to get some rest." He replied. He was not speaking a lie, he just changed the facts a little. And besides, he couldn't get attached to her because of his secret and his destination. He suddenly started to feel his eyes get kinda drowsy, and his muscles untensing. Quickly, he rushed up the stairs, only to notice Alec. "Alec! So you guys made it after all! Funny how you got here faster then us though." He called out as he walked towards him.

Alec's ears twitched in response to Alejandro's greeting. He held up a finger to ask for a moment of peace. Carefully, he lifted the mask just enough for his mouth to be exposed. He dipped his tongue in the pink powder just enough to get a taste. His lips smacked as he got a sense for what he just tasted. A few more seconds of smacking and he began to scribble in his parchment.

Without raising his head, he replied to Alejandro. "That woman you just spoke to downstairs. Yes my ears are that good. She has ill intent for us. Be cautious."
