More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Alec tensed his jaw, and hoped that they wouldn't ask how many souls it would take.

Something snapped in Trinity, her eyes glowed, "Just how many!?" She emerged from the shadows.

"What?! The millions of souls from a hidden civilization lying dead on the beach, not enough?!

What?! The many who were beheaded today, still not enough!? … And that's just here!

What!? Does the whole world have to die in order for you to have enough to save it!?….

WHAT THE HELL IS THE POINT!"
she tossed her hands up in the air.

She was tired of all the deaths, tired of failing people she sworn to protect. Just even the hint that more will have to die put her on edge.

All she fought for, every time she saved Valhalla or saved the world was it all for nothing? Was it all meant to be sacrificed to save itself. Were all her efforts only delaying the inevitable?

[Nova Blancke]

"Yes, it is. Please lets not waste any time."Crystalion responded and offered her arm.

Legio listened to what his new resident had to say.

"I was also a unknown factor to her plan. There was no way of accounting for me to be there. To protect the younger generation. She left both of them in the care of another. This...Theonis. Head of Valhalla. I find it to be strange she did that. Freya did not know him that well."

Theo himself felt a shiver across his back when he learned that Crosis needed a lot more souls to be stronger. But what he said seemed off....he would spare Kerana. What if he didn't need more souls...but stronger ones. Like Meta's.

Trinity's outburst did come as a bit of a surprise. She is usually level headed but just like him it seemed it had just reached a critical point.

He just put a hand on her shoulder. Nothing more nothing less.

"Is it....us? Our souls? Are the souls of us Meta's stronger than normal ones? You said only Kerana would be spared. It doesn't make sense otherwise."

Trinity let out a sigh of relief. Theo's comforting touch was what she needed to know she wasn't the only one dealing with this frustration. The man seemed to always knew what she needed. She looked to him as he posed his question.

Silhouette tensed and said, "Trinity, you really shouldn't-"

Crosis stopped slouching and stood at full height. His decprepit fingers curled menacingly as he towered over Trinity and screeched, "KRIIIIIIAAAAAH!!! You insignificant cur! You know nothing! You haven't experienced terror until the sky is blocked by thousands of eyes and mouths! I would sacrifice the lives of all beings in existence if that's what is needed!"

"But as it is, I only need this. One. PLANET!"

Sil was horrified. She asked, "Crosis, you can't mean..."

"All life on Earth will be sacrificed. I will consume every soul." he rumbled. The hood slowly turned to Kerana and he said, "Every soul...but one"

Alec felt like he was going to vomit and covered his mouth. He didn't realize the gravity of what he agreed to until he was alive with Kerana right next to him.

Legio listened to what his new resident had to say.

"That's true. But Trinity trusted him, and Freya trusted Trinity's judgement. So by extension she trusted Theonis to look after her loved ones."

Trinity didn't flinch and showed no fear. She narrowed her eyes, "Knew it." From the moment Crosis mentioned the need for souls she figured why would he stop there? Further more what's to stop him from doing this in the first place, he's Death after all why not have already killed everyone at once?

"Your capable, what's holding you back? It's not like anyone can stop you."

Ravan was far too lost in her regret to hear the exchange that transpired.

Dawn walked up to Ravan and gently grabbed her shoulders. "C'mon Ravan, we need to get out of the way. They're going to fix him."

Ravan looked up with her red eyes and nodded. She then allowed herself to be moved aside so that Leo could be healed.

"Yes, it is. Please lets not waste any time."Crystalion responded and offered her arm.

The doctor led Liv over to a chair and told her to sit down. He then went over to the supply cart and took out a transfusion kit. He went through the motions of starting the transfusion. "Now stay still. For whatever reason losing blood without being able to heal wears out regenerators." he said facetiously.

After a minute passed the dark circles around his orbits began to disipate. Thirty seconds later he began to stir. Fifteen seconds later he began to choke on the ET tube.

"There we go, he's started to buck the tube. That means he's able to breath on his own now."

The doctor removed the plastic clasps on the tube and slowly pulled the foot long tube out of Leo's throat.

The young man's eyes fluttered open. His vision was blurry at first. His head rolled over to face Liv. He blinked a few times, trying to regain focus. He thought he saw a purple haired woman sitting in the chair.

"Mom? he croaked.

His vision started to clear and he saw a boxom blonde in a blue dress sitting in the chair instead.

"Mom?!" he asked with mixed excitement and confusion.

Alec looked at Kerana and said, "Kay,
it's not-"

Crosis' shoulders began to bounce up and down. He was quietly laughing at Kerana. "Foolish child. You would not be living at all. Your soul would have been given form, as Alec's was, and you would have been with him for an eternity. Free to wander the cosmos together until you saw fit to end your existence. It is a far better fate than those who fall prey to the Decaelum."

He whirled back to Trinity when she posed her question. "Though I have orchestrated the death's of entire civilizations, ending all life is beyond even my ability. So I am waiting for Eclipse's plan to be executed. The the influx of that many souls would grant me just enough power to begin the mass eradication of all he doesn't kill by weeks end."

"Alec was almost ready to play his part. To become death when I go beyond the Terminus and succeed in destroying that dammed eye."

Silhouette cried from the shadows,
"Cease this madness Crosis! Your role is to maintain balance, not tip the scales to fulfill your machinations! How can you claim to still love me when you seek to destroy the very planet we have spent eons developing and protecting so that they might not suffer the fate of our people?"

Crosis stared at Trinity's shadow then shook his head sadly, "Silhouette...you do not understand."

s**t it was everyone. He really meant to take everyone. Think..come on, think. That's your strong suit.

"What if we stop Eclipse before he succeeds? You cannot stop him. You said it yourself. He has aides around him. Help us take out his chain of command. Cripple his plans. It may be beneath you to give a boon to us filthy hiccen's but it could tip the scales. We even have Mithril! That can harm even you! Without Eclipse we will have a lot more time to figure out where to go from there on. We have the All Seeing Eyes. That alone gives us a great advantage." Theo explained as he went on he realized he was talking to Death itself. But he would not back down from this. Literally the entire world depended on it. No pressure or anything.

"If Souls are still within the Hellstar then use those. Worlds worth of souls are within that thing!. I've died twice already. I will not die a third time just to be used as fuel for your gamble!" He said a lot firmer looking straight at Crosis. His golden eyes actually glowed this time.

"Got it." Crystalion responded. She sat down and let the doctor stick the needle in. When the blood started to flow through the tube, time seemed to be a whole lot slower than it should be. She glanced at the clock and only a few seconds had passed. Come on! It had to be at least 1 minute by now.

His dark lines under his eyes started to disappear. An eternity later he seemed to choke on his tube as he stirred a bit. His face began to look better. Swelling going down as well. The moment he called her out she began to smile. He's alright. He was going to be fine.

"I'm here tiger. Take it easy." Crystalion gently told him. After waiting a few more seconds she called out Dawn and Ravan.

"He's going to be fine now."

She held his hand tightly and looked directly into his eyes. "Ako," she started. "please sit over here with me. I have to talk to you about something."

She led him over to the only two chairs in the lab that didn't have too many holes in them. She sat him down, still holding his hands and looking to him with love and adoration. She took a deep breath and let it out, psyching herself up for what she was about to ask him.

"Hun, I noticed awhile ago that you seem to space out sometimes when talking to people. I thought it was cute at first, but it's been worrying me with how often it happens. Can you tell me about it? When it started? What it feels like? What're you thinking about when it happens?"

Ako started to get worried when Gidget asked him to sit. Talks like this were always hard. The concern in her voice was obvious when she asked about his blackouts, but he wasn't sure he had an answer. He took a deep breath before answering. "I don't know what it is, where, or when it started. I just...go blank sometimes. It's like I'm missing time. I've come to and found myself miles away from where I was. I'll be missing hours, days, even a week once."

When she was confident that they wouldn't disturb Liv's sleep she looked back to Deora and said, "Okay, there we go. But enough about me, what happened to you today? Your covered in dust and drywall. Plus you seem different. Like I can feel a radiant energy coming off of you."

Deora realized for the first time that she hadn't cleaned up. She ran her fingers down a lock of hair. They came away with white dust, leaving a streak of violet hair exposed. She rubbed her fingers together, thinking she would have to shower later. At least she didn't have to do her own laundry. Considering the building this dust was from, she was thankful to have a shower and a laundry at all. When she was living there, it was a lot harder to get clean.

She wiped her hand on a cleaner spot on her pants and came back to the moment. "Kerana, that Damian kid, and I got into a little adventure. We were outside Valhalla when we were attacked. We took refuge in my old building, but those Daedalus guys sent something big after us; this dude that could destroy walls and stuff like wet paper. Damian did something and 'unlocked my inner potential.'" She said with air quotes. "I was able to break open a water main, engulf the guy, and freeze it. I've never been more powerful."

She went from grinning proudly at her new found power and accomplishment, to hugging herself and frowning as she once again caught up to what had happened. "I almost killed him. It would have been so easy. I think Kerana is the only thing that stopped me."
