Alec tenderly lifted Kerana's head so that their eyes met. "Sh, it's alright. It can be overwhelming, but I'm here with you. There's no need to worry." he comforted in a low voice.

His irises glowed a cool blue as he granted safe passage to Kerana in the realm of death. "There, the dread should subside soon. Take your time, I'm going to help the others too." he stated.

He went to Silhouette first and tried to get her to look at him. He was confused for a moment as he saw that her hair was already starting to turn gray. It shouldn't be happening that fast.

"Sil." he said trying to get her waning attention to him. "It's Sil, right? I need you to look at me. Look into my eyes or you'll be dead in less than a minute."

Silhouette's curtain of long pitch black hair was indeed starting to turn gray. Her skin was also beginning to wrinkle and sag. She barely heard Alec, and she was so very tired. She dug deep and moaned as she raised her head to look at Crosis' apprentice.

Alec performed rite of passage with the ancient. He waited a few seconds for her to recover, but she wasn't. "I don't understand. That should have helped her."

She stood up straight and addressed the group, "Anyone who hasn't looked into my eyes come here so I can grant you passage."

Silhouette was panting and wheezing heavily. Her rapid aging had seemingly halted for the time being, but she knew it was a short lived reprieve. She still needed to return to Trinity if she had any hope of surviving.
Once the picture of subtle vigor and youth, she now looked emaciated and almost sixty.

After performing the rites for everyone. including Damien who had to have Cassandra force his eyelids open, he looked over to Trinity and asked, "Is she the one that was speaking to Crosis from your shadow? What's wrong with her?"

Legio nodded and went on his way towards the recovery crew. " Thank you sir. I'll take a look at em."

"Knowledge, experiences, something....new."

"So what are we looking at here fella's? I've been informed we're dealing with....elves?" He asked the people on site when he made it over there.

The agent with the dog ignored the curious newcomer, but the one closest to Legio was more than happy to voice his opinion.

"Yeah, it's the craziest damn thing. The bodies in the center of the wrecks have long ears. At first we thought it was a meta trait, like that security chick from Valhalla, but we kept finding them. There have also been soldiers thrown in the mix. The tech guys got the black boxes out of the birds, so we should know who these helos belonged to."

He grunted as he lifted a large piece of metal and flipped it over. Underneath it were three charred bodies: a large one, and two progressively smaller ones in it's arms.

"Damnit. I'll never get used to seeing s**t like this, especially when it's kids"

The wolf lost control of the memories that rushed her. Images of an old but advanced civilization flooded her mind. The buildings with the citadel acting as the central point, the art, the wild life, the forests that were allowed to grow into the agriculture district, and the people. So many that were peaceful and happy to be alive. The soldiers that proudly served and protected the citizens. The would be king and captain of the guard, Adam Crescent; always grinning and aloof, but incredibly deadly when his loved ones were endangered. The assassin queen Kaelonni Eleilya Soichi Crescent; who possessed a reserved attitude despite her regal stature. Rydia Fae'Rakka Crescent, princess and walking ball of curiosity and determination.
And then there was her mother...mother...Mom.

She didn't know if the sudden storm of memories would effect Legio, or stir up the hurricane of emotions he had just packed away. She didn't care.

He felt his mouth go dry for a quick moment. He had never thought if her in any capacity outside of being a sibling or friend. The more he thought about it the more he realized some of the signals she was throwing out, whether she knew them or not.

He swallowed hard and managed to croak out, "Ravan...what're you trying to say?"

Ravan's blush consumed her face, and her breath was starting to quiver. She didn't understand why it was so difficult to say what she felt. She was always better at action than words. So she decided that's what she was going to do.

Ravan reached out and roughly grabbed Leo's right hand in hers and squeezed it tightly. She took a deep, quivering breath and blurted out, "I want to be around you. All the time. I don't like being away from you for too long. It makes my chest hurt. I...I..........I like you. A lot. I don't even want to stop holding your hand. Please say something because I don't know what else I want to say without just holding you forever."

"So what do you think of him? Your younger dad. Must be weird for you. Hell , it's weird for me as well. The age gap between him and Leo isn't that big here." Crystalion asked.

"Heh. It's pretty weird. He seems very nervous. It's really different from the way I know Dad."

She rubbed her arms gently as she remembered her father. It was his death that prompted Gidget to create a machine that opened the rift. Everyone felt it when the news came home.

A few tears dropped onto her bare thigh. She sniffed and rubbed her eyes to remove the tears that hadn't fallen yet. "I miss him. Watching him here, fighting the titan beast with Ravan...it felt like it used to for a bit."

Ravan reached out and roughly grabbed Leo's right hand in hers and squeezed it tightly. She took a deep, quivering breath and blurted out, "I want to be around you. All the time. I don't like being away from you for too long. It makes my chest hurt. I...I..........I like you. A lot. I don't even want to stop holding your hand. Please say something because I don't know what else I want to say without just holding you forever."

Leo just sat there for a moment, taking in everything that had just been thrown at him. Ravan's candor was usually front line when it came to their interactions. He wondered how long she had been holding in those feelings. He figured she had to do it because of their situation; because a relationship like that could compromise their actions and thoughts. It was certainly what he felt needed to be done.

But the silence was starting to create an uncomfortable fog in the room. He had to say something to her. She deserved an answer after everything they had been through together.

"...Okay"

"I miss him too. He was...one of a kind." Crystalion replied before what she said really registered.

"Wait...one came through? Did Ravan finish it off? Please tell me she did." She quickly asked.Just having one of those things here would be enough for it to start all over.

"That is weird. For all of them to have that particular trait. Let's hope those black boxes give more answers. " Legio responded as he took looked around and removed debris. For him it was easy. It wouldn't even be considered easy as he didn't even think of it as a task.

"......yeah, no matter what....kids never deserve to get caught in the crossfire."

Legio felt the sudden burst of memories but he had dealt with a hundred fold of it before. He did wince at it but that could be written off as responding to the sight of charred children.

Theo watched Alec give the others a 'boon'. He too looked into his eyes. It seemed his sclera were black just like his own. Welcome to the club. But it almost seemed to be too late for Sil who was visibly aging. Was that going to happen to them too?

"She needs shadows to survive I believe. We need to get out of here quickly."

Dawn threw her hands up and exclaimed, "Like only she can. After she and Dad...I mean, Theonis crushed the titan and the beast that Davis turned into, she opened up a black hole and took them out. She was going to fight the Helicopters that were flying in too, but then Theonis pulled her away. She was not happy."

Dawn had always been impressed by Ravan's power to control gravity. Such an incredible, universal force seemed worlds above what she could ever hope of controlling; even with her various inherited powers.

"So yeah, no worries. Although there were whispers in the ER about some pretty crazy stuff that happened today. Black fog, a kid in a mask that cut people's heads off."

Crystalion chuckled." That does sound like him...damage control for Ravan."

She had not been up to date with the recent events. All she did was shower and meeting up with the kids. But that did sound pretty serious.

"That....sounds like Daedelus. No idea how that kid would have gotten in or that fog. It's already so much different from our past." It was surprising how little death of stranger meant to her. It meant nothing at all actually. Only her family matter. Anyone else was just....needless bagage in their world.

She shook those thoughts away.

"Well I'm pretty much done with that I can do here."

The other agent noticed Legio's squint and nodded, "Yeah, I feel ya. It helps if you breath through your mouth. Keeps the vomit back"

The wolf's loss of control recovered quickly, her resolve returned.

"Hey, Eclipse made it look like Valhalla caused this mess. He probably isn't done with them yet. Did he brag about anything in the time between when you ate me and when you woke me?"

Dawn turned around and rose her eyebrows in concern. She asked, "Tell me the truth, is it bad enough that I'll have to cut it short?"

Ravan's grip on Leo's hands slowly released. Her eyes turned red, glistened, and then poured tears. Her lip began to quiver. She didn't know whether she wanted to scream, cry, laugh hysterically, or crush him into a little ball of meat and bones.

"O...kay?" she finally choked out. "Wh-what's that sssupposed to mean?"

Leo was used to her overreactions by now. He shook his head as though he didn't understand what she'd just asked. "I mean okay. I appreciate how you feel about me. You're important to me, Ravan, but I don't think I can say that I can't stand to be away from you. I'm sorry if that upsets you, but I don't think I can give you what you're looking for."

"Yes, she was the one speaking to Crosis. She needs to be in the Shadow Realm, she needs my shadow. She hasn't had a body outside shadow realm for the longest time. We need to get back to earth we need to get her back in my shadow." She wasn't certain but she was afraid if she died her power would go along with her.

"Nah, yours wasn't as bad as mine. I don't think you have to but that's totally up to you. But like I said, we'd need a proper barber for that." Crystalion responded.

She changed the subject." Enough about that. Get yourself dressed and we can get some actual food. No more canned s**t or jumping around the world to find some fruit for you kids."
