ENDLESS JOURNEYS (O/A)

[Nova Blancke]

Nova who, is able to fall asleep very fast, woke up with a snort.

" Huh? Whazda?" His brain did not like the fact that it was denied sleep." It's what she does for a living" Nova groaned as he got up. He still needed conformation that it really was the case this time.

"Go ask Alec. He's right there."

Before he had the chance to say something about the way she spoke to Alec, a handful of a white substance was flung into his face, rendering most of his body into a numbed state. "What is this? I can barely feel most of my body, and my head is a fuzz... Just what was that?" He thought just before being pulled into the woman's room. "Dammit, I cant seem to regain control of my body... I have to contact Trin or someone. Come on!" He tried to focus a message in his mind to send out via flow of magic, but to no avail. Instead, his mind blurred even more. "Dammit, my head is to blurry, I can barely even think properly... What can I do?" He thought to himself, when he caught notice that even with the numbing substance, he could still move partially and talk, which led to an even better idea. He had to play along for it to work though... As the door shut, he moved himself to the window (Holding onto his cloak to insure it did not come off) and began to whistle a tune infused with magic that only other mages could understand.

Alec had stumbled back over the chair. The white powder had not gone into his nose or mouth, but a considerable amount had gotten into his eyes. His soft tissue soaked up the powder and burned his eyes.

He grasped at his face and growled as he fell to his knees. He could feel a familiar rage building up within him. He heard Kerana and looked up. He knew it was her, but the powder skewed his vision. He didn't see her, he saw a threat. He knew she wasn't a threat, but two words reverberated in his head.

Bad Dog.

His bloodshot eyes pleaded to her as dark claws pushed their way out of his fingernails. The cracking of his now sharpened teeth echoed in his mouth as he strained to say. "Get away...run...I...I can't..."

Nova grunted since he almost slept again. Now what? Can't these kids solve something on their own? Nova was rather cranky at the moment. He slowly rose up and put his feet on the ground. Mumbling as he got up.

" Kids these days....can't do anything by themselves anymore."

He slowly made his way to the door.

" Calling yourselves mages. Pah, 500 years ago they'd ditch students in the deep forest to fend for themselves. You got magic...use it girl" Nova continued to mumble in a cranky way. His attitude changed a bit as he opened the door but the crankiness remained.

" Oh "

Alec fought the change as hard as he could. He was glad Kerana had left, but not so much that she went right inside to get Nova. It soon didn't matter to him, as the blood lust took over the words became louder.

Bad Dog.

The wolf within tried to reach Alec, but the rage was too much. Even it would have to muster up some strength to overcome what the witch had done.

Alec had finished his transformation just as Nova stepped out. He looked up at the mage with unbridled fury. Without so much as a growl, he leaped at Nova with his fangs and claws bared.

Was he surrounded by people who couldn't take care of himself? But perhaps he was setting his standards way too high. He tended to do that. Because he could do something with ease does not mean others can. Now he had to deal with his rabid wolf. Since he was in the door opening he couldn't exactly jump to the side. Instead he hopped back diagonally and made sure Alec would be right next to him.He reached down to grab Alec by the neck. Nova would then pull him down and electrocute him. He wouldn't kill him but he would make sure Alec was out cold.

Ale tried to resist, he couldn't let her know his secret, but his body moved against his will. He moved closer to her, each step felt like he was dragging thousands of weights each time it moved. He still managed to keep his cloak on, and barely moved it a little more over his face. If she discovered his secret, and she probably would...

It was a battle between his spirit and the rest of him, and he was loosing. His hands reached up and removed the hood of his cloak, revealing his slightly long, pointy silver hair and shiny teal eyes. He was breaking very severe codes that his tribe had put by doing this, and was going to have to pay for them when they reached the village. His mind, now clouded with a thick fog, prevented him from doing really anything but think. "Shōfu." He simply thought.

Alec's wild attack left him open to Nova's counter. The electricity coursed through his body, causing him to yelp in pain before passing out.

Within his mind, he could see the wolf approach him with disgust. "You're lucky pup. The old one didn't kill you, and he saved Kerana's life. It seems you are unable to handle the witch. I suppose direct intervention is necessary."

Alec's eyes shot open. They were his, but they looked different. They were confident and wise. He slowly stood himself up and rubbed his neck. He stood tall and addressed Nova.

"Thank you, old one. Where is the witch that has, twice now, taken the pup's free will?"
