More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Ako continued to embrace Tansy, almost not hearing Annie and Theonis. He was glad to see another friend, and he might have hugged her as well if he and Tansy didn't have a grip on each other. He stayed silent as the others talked, still trying to wrap his mind around seeing them all so soon after his own arrival. What were the odds that they would all show up at the same time?

"Cool." Deora smiled as she stood up and grabbed her empty tray. She waited for Justine for a moment before heading for the door, leaving the tray on the designated spot above the trash can. Again she waited a bit for Justine before continuing. She never thought she would be in this situation; in an underground facility for people with powers, hanging out with a blind police officer. She had to admit, though; Justine wasn't like most of the officers she's met. Sure, there were one or two cops who had come to her school when she was little, to tell them that the police were their friends, but the ones she'd met in everyday life weren't that nice, and the ones she met on the run were downright mean.
She watched Justine as they walked through the open mall-like area of Valhalla. Could this nice woman have been a different person in the field? If Deora had stolen a wallet while she was watching, when she was capable of watching, would they be having this conversation?

Gidget returns Annie's sudden embrace, being especially careful not to squeeze any harder than a woman her size should. She catches what Annie says about her being dead and nearly goes into a panic. She wasn't ready to let everyone know about her current state of being yet, but is relieved when no one else seems to take notice.

She lets go of Annie and looks around the room at her friends. She wishes she could feel the joy she is entitled too. Sure she has happy thoughts and memories, but she can't produce that wonderful chemical reaction that only a body of flesh can. She still can't quite get the algorithm right to properly endow herself with emotions.

When Annie mentions Shane, her heart sinks. Why would Annie want to see Shane so badly?

"Buh...Shane? Why, uh, why do you need to see him? Got some biological concerns?"

Annie narrowed her brown eyes at Gidget, maybe Gidget hadn't realized that her brother and Annie would have become an item most likely if Annie hadn't thought Gidget died and joined the Daedelus Project. "I have unfinished business with him," Annie said casually. "It has been thirteen years but don't tell me he's forgotten about me already."

Half jokingly and half serious, Annie added, "Or did some other girl scoop him up while I was gone?" For some reason Annie doubted that would be the case, Shane as Annie remembered was awkward around girls and completely oblivious to one liking him. Anyhow, most girls didn't go for the nerdy science types who locked themselves up in facilities like Valhalla, or that is what Annie hoped.

"That's a long time. So....." She paused a bit and looked back and forth at the two." You together?" She just asked unable to hold her thoughts to her own as she hopped on what she thought was where she was supposed to sit during the examination.

"No, we're just co-workers." Sarah answered knowing full well that they have a professional relationship.

One of the scanners started to beep. Jacob pointed at the screen and said with a grin he couldn't keep in, "Well I guess we found out what's bugging you Ms. Crystallion."
Sarah rolled her eyes and shakes her head,"He means we've detected a bug on you. It's normal for those that escape the project.". As she explained as she looks on the screen and with a pair of tweezers plucks the tracer. It looked like she was holding air at first then it's invosability shield faded. "Got to hand it to them though invisible and it has something to null the skin to prevent you from feeling it there. Okay that's it you're free to go." Jacob opens the door.

Trinity sent the profile of the new meta-human she had rescued to Gidget. Her mind kept drifting toward Alec, unfortunately from what she observed so far she didn't have proof. She got to the waiting room of the medical facility and saw the new meta on the other side. Just like clockwork just the way Trinity likes it. "Hi Ms Crystallion welcome to Vallhala. My name is Trinity Smith, head of security. I'm here to escort you to the Residential Office. After we set you up with a room you will have a tour of the place, or if you're undecided still you may choose to have the tour before signing up for a room"

Gidget reads into what Annie is saying. She never thought that Annie would have a thing for Shane, or even if Shane returned the feelings. Her mechanical heart sinks with the thought of what the knowledge of the creature Shane has become will do to Annie.

"Ah, how could anyone possibly forget about you? Shane issssss..."

She holds the S in is until she lets out a sigh. There is no more use in lying.

"You may want to sit down Annie."

"Shane is what?" Annie demanded, her eyes narrowed, the air around her heating up briefly before cooling down. She didn't like the tone Gidget was using. Already, Annie's heart was pounding, and she gripped a nearby table for support. Could something have happened to Shane? It had been thirteen years, a lot could happen in thirteen years, Annie reminded herself taking a deep breath.

"Sorry, Gidget," Annie apologized for her previous tone, "go on. Go on and tell us what happened with Shane."

Told em they would find it.But did they listen? Noooo of course they didn't. Idiots...
Liv thanked the medics for their time and left the room. They were right though. It did take Daedelus a while to complete that tracking device.
Then she met Trinity Smith
.Trinity Smith, Shadow Manipulator/Traveler. Kind of my opposite but she can't create. I can take her Liv thought quickly as she spotted her. She didn't show it on her face at all. She had a master level of concealing her real thoughts. Instead her face showed a childish surprise. She cocked her head a bit to the side to express it but didn't get further into it.

"Hi I'm Li-..oh right...you already seem to know that. So did the others. Why's that?" She asked" Did the meteor cause that by the way? Liv pointed at Trinity's ears and hair."Ahh sorry..drifting off again. I should really start to act like my age for once...I say..sign me up!" She said with a radiant smile.

Gidget fiddles with her hands for a moment as her eyes dart to her old friends. She decides to hold off on telling them she is technically dead until she is backed into a corner.

She takes a deep breath and says, "There is no way to sugar coat this so I'm just going to tell it like it is. Shane is in a high security section of Valhalla...pacified and incarcerated."

One of Annie's hands slipped off the table and she lurched forward before catching herself. "He's what? Why? What happened to him? Valhalla isn't the type of place to keep people locked up. What did he do?" Annie began questioning, her mind racing. Something happened, something that Gidget didn't want to tell the whole story, or so it seemed...

"Gidget, answer me, please," Annie said.

A chair slides over to Gidget and parks itself behind her just as she moves to sit down. She can hardly look Annie in the eyes, or any of them really.

"It all started shortly before Leviathan's attack on Valhalla, and after Shane was dropped on his back at the hospital. Back then...Valhalla bad people in high places. They decided to see if Shane's back could be repaired with the pure meta-human substance that Leviathan had created. What they really wanted was to see if they could give a human meta-human abilities. It worked...but at a price."

"Shane's mind, the radiation did something to it. He went insane...and he hurt a lot of people. He had to be stopped, but I couldn't let him get taken by the authorities or Daudalus...so I captured him myself."

A million curses reach the tip of Annie's tongue to die there unspoken. Are Valhalla a bunch of idiots just to go experimenting on someone! Annie thought incredulous, never mind the fact that Annie had done her own experimentation on herself during the Leviathan battle. Experimenting on people to see if they can make meta humans! Valhalla is no better than the Daedalus Project, Annie's thoughts continued her anger growing, the air beginning to heat up around her as her emotions swirled inside her.

Then, Annie reminded herself that it wasn't Gidget's fault and Gidget was no doubt in pain about the change in her brother too. Taking deep breaths, Annie controlled her anger and finally after what seemed to her a long pause spoke up, "I have to see him."

Gidget rubs her left arm with her right, the idea of rousing Shane again in the same day making her extremely uncomfortable.

"I...I'm not sure if that's such a good idea Annie. He's not the way you remember him."

Tansy's grasp on Ako's loosened as she turned towards Gigdet and Annie. She didn't meet Shane for long, but he seemed like a sweet man. And it was easy to tell that Annie had liked him very deeply. Her felt her pain at loosing someone close to your heart. She frowned somewhat as she listened softly.

Justine walked with Deora with a slight smile on her face. Her nose would twitch from time to time, and her forhead would wrinkle. Her eyes were itching. Almost to the point that they burned. But she didn't say anything.
