This was purely infuriating. They dare have a defense against him? They dare make his attacks inert?! Then he heard what he wanted to hear. Tear the campus apart if you have to. Metal got ripped off like it was paper and floated next to him. If they can stop is power from reaching their target...then he'd just have to use something else. Metal folded into fist sized chunks. The sound of the chopper alerted him of his new target. He scanned the air and located his target and was ready to fire when it got closer.

Trinity was saying too much that did not make any sense to her. It hatched? But it could absorb others? Land of the dead? Ravan's outburst made perfect sense to her. Here they thought they would never have to deal with that thing again and now they basically find out something similar is here and is sentient? She definitely did not trust that ...thing. Even the name Legio was a painful reminder.

She got up and grabbed Ravan by the shoulders, looking her straight in the eyes.

"First rule! Never panic! Breathe, calm down and focus. We will get to the bottom of this when we are done. Right now...that thing is focusing on our enemies. Let's hope they take each other out. So get yourself together. We need you."

"Family stuff."
They did not need this s**t right now. He nodded to Trinity.

"Alright you heard the lady! Everyone get ready!"

This...this was a lesson for Legio. These soldiers were not strong but they had tools against which he might not have defense against. A singularity. A black hole. Something of infinite density that sucks in even light itself. It's pull was immense. Biomass shot out of his back, piercing any soldier that would be behind him. They would be absorbed and paralyzed by him. But that was not why he was doing this. His tendrils dug deep into the soil like roots. And he pulled himself back. His arm however was....not how he left it. Stretched like spaghetti. Cassandra's power refused to give way but the sheer strength of a black hole did not care. He had to detach his arm.

Ravan protested, "But, he just...I mean..." while she looked from Crystalion to the floor. Finally she chlenched her fists and cried out in frustration and anger.

"Aaaaaugh!!! I can't ********' believe this!"

She threw her hands up and whirled toward Trinity. "You'd bettah be right 'bout 'im! Else it's on you."

Theresa huffed, "Finally! Can we go killing now?"

She threw her hands up and whirled toward Trinity. "You'd bettah be right 'bout 'im! Else it's on you."

Trinity turned to her and solemnly said, “Yes it is. Along with everything else.”

Theresa huffed, "Finally! Can we go killing now?"

Trinity nodded slowly. In other circumstances, she would discourage outright killing and would advise instead to maim or immobilize. But this was different this was war and they were invading her home, they were attacking her family, to take down her kingdom of Valhalla and that was unacceptable and they need to know that. Know that there would be no mercy. As they stepped out, Theonis pushed Daedalus Soldiers back. She had them land on several shadow spikes. She was not holding back.

Rydia dashed forward, grateful that Trinity had opted for a stealth approach. She pressed her back against a wall and skirted along until she reachee a corner. Her heightened sense of smell sniffed out a duo of guards. They seemed to be busy talking about the invasion that they weren't made a part of.

The Bast Princess looked over her shoulder and made a muted hiss, which alerted Carak. Her companion strode up and immediately knew what to do. They had practiced it a number of times before.

Carak trotted around the corner and toward the soldiers. One of them glanced in the direction of clacking claws and leveled his weapon at the wolf-hound.

"The Hell?! Is that a dog?"

The other soldier didn't hesitate, and immediately opened fire on Carak. But before a single round could land Carak disapeared in a blink of light. He appeared at Rydia's glowing palm just as she began to make her move.

While the soldiers were frantically scanning for a dog that was no longer there. Rydia rounded the corner and reached out with her spirit hands and grasped their throats. After only a moment's struggle, their necks snapped amd she dropped them to the floor in a combined heap.

After a thorough sensory check of their immediate area Rydia looked back to Theresa and asked, "Do you know where we are?"

The three choppers swooped in for a pass and launched a salvo of mind blowers each. Their targets were shared: Alexavier on the roof, the splintered fire meta group, and the main building that the other forces were retreating toward.

Heather could feel the heat of the incoming missles. At that moment, her own internal temperature began to rise quickly. She struggled and stumbled to her feet; her stance wide and wild. Her hollowed steam spikes errupted from her back just before her body burst into flames. Her human flesh burnt to ash and gave way to her bipedal, draconic self. Her wings burst out and blew away the flames that had engulfed her. She was ready to meet fire with fire.

Meanwhile, underground, the black hole that had threatened to swallow Legio shrank and vanished in a defening crack. Unhindered, the other gophers placed their grenades against the walls of Valhalla. They set the timers and backed just out of effective range. They went off, almost in unison, and pulled the walls into their void. They cracked, and the soldiers threw metalic orbs the size of baseballs into the facility.

Once the found purchase, the orbs flatened to the ground and produced portals that soldiers began to poor through en masse.

The wolf was glad that Legio had managed to escape, but that didn't stop her from throwing in her two cents.

"You have a bad habit of underestimating your enemies. Just because you're immensly powerful, doesn't mean you're invincible. Don't attack them head on. Maybe use what you took from me and strike like an assassin?"

Theresa scanned her surroundings and examined the dead guard's uniforms. Their arms had red bands, meaning that they were assigned to holding.

"We're where they kept me. Where they kept us all. This place is for regular people. Me and my sisters stayed behind the big doors two turns that way."

Ravan barely listened to what the weird kid said. She was a bit more focused on the lack of space in their current surroundings. She wouldn't be able to maneuver using adjusted gravity the way she was used to. Claustrophobic was probably too harsh a way to desribe it, but the young woman was certainly not comfortable in a situation where she was at a heavy disadvantage.

She looked to those with more experience and quipped, "Can anyone break open the cells? I mean, one of the things we need to do is help the prisoners escape, right?"

Legio retreated into the shadows. Black holes were...troublesome. He felt...frustration....anger. Losing more Biomass had given him the urge to replenish. And nobody would have any problem with casualties or what happened to their corpses in a situation like this. Right now....they were livestock in his eyes.

Legio floated towards the portal from inside of the shadow realm. Many new soldiers seemed to leaped out. Like Trinity had done moments before he too created spikes that would pierce the soldiers from underneath. Moving to the corner of the room, Only his finger stuck outside of the shadow but that finger was enough. Using Ako's lightning he shot a powerful bolt at the group before pulling his finger back again.

The transportation was nothing new for Theo. Though he was getting mixed feelings. Perhaps it was best if he stayed behind and defended the place. But then again...crippling Daedelus was also a surefire way to stop it. Knocking the guards back and having Trinity actually kill them was something new for him. But now was not the time to hold back. The grip on his sword tightened.

It was clear that Rydia had gotten proper combat training. That was at least a great help.

"Yeah we do need to get these people out of here. But we don't have a way out for them right now. Valhalla isn't a safe place to transport them too either. And the longer we remain unnoticed the better. Right now....they are dead weight to us. I want to help them, I do. But right now...we can't. If we need a distraction and find the Meta holding cells...that's a different story. They can find for themselves." Theo said without raising his voice too much.

Alexavier fired his own barrage of ammunition at the helicopters. Ripping apart more plating from the building he sent these improvised shields to meet the missiles. He couldn't destroy the missiles with his mind but they would still destroy on impact.

Meanwhile Liv had a stroke of genius. She had never attempted it since her teleportation is different from Trinity's. But still! Everything the light touches should be hers to command. And that is what she tried. Teleporting the missiles into her Light Realm and have them appear next to the helicopters that shot them.

Trinity was glad Theonis was on the same train of thought as she was. Though part of her wanted to tell Theonis to help Rydia out of habit of ordering people. They need to focus on the mission.

Where is Eclipse? Where would be the best place to not only orchestrate this madness but to summon the Hell Star? She looked toward the top of the facility while fending off and killing Daedalus soldiers without a second thought plunging a shadow dagger formed in the base of her palm. She plunged her open hand fist into their chest drawing out blood with the shadow dagger.

Not only would they not be safe in Valhalla right now which that made her feel bad because she was usually good with keeping it safe all of these years. Which if you just arrived the past 24 hours, when the chaos began you’d be inclined to disagree.

Confusion gnawed at the edges of Deora's thoughts. She was used to one-on-one fights, not battles on a large scale. Orders and callbacks ran through her earpiece, and she struggled to keep up with those that applied to her. Meanwhile, artillery was falling, helicopters buzzed overhead, and missiles exploded nearby.

She thought she heard the order to retreat, and most of her group began running back towards the building, but the fire metas were still scattered. Was she supposed to leave them to fend for themselves, or should she go help them?

As she surveyed the battlefield she saw a massive ball of flame where Heather had stood last she saw. As she watched, it dissipated to reveal a dragon. In her rattled state, she had to wonder if she'd ever seen Heather like that. She remembered something Rydia had told her the night before, something about possibly needing to help her.

Forgetting the orders in her ear, Deora started running across the battlefield towards the dragon.

Liv's attempt at teleporting the missiles worked to an extent. The front halves containing the warheads blinked out of existence and left the flying back halves spinning out of control without anything to guide them.

The missile heading toward Alexavier was easily detonated midair and fell apart. Two of the helicopters were taken out by the psychic's barrage of debris. The third narrowly avoided it and retreated.

Heather watched as the split missiles began to spin out of control. One spun off, but the other was going toward a teenage girl with violet hair that was running toward Heather.

"Deora!" Heather cried out. She broke out into a sprint and pumped her wings a few times to give her a bit of a boost. With one more push, she wrapped her arms around the petite Latina and rolled her out of the missile fragment's path.

They stopped rolling with Heather being on top. She pushed her upper body up and looked down at the girl, their nose and muzzle nearly touching. She breathed heavily from the exertion of running and huffed, "Are you okay?"

Rydia took in all he information and turned away from the group. "No one look at me. I'm about to uncover my eye and see what the layout of people is."

She removed the cover from her eye and scanned their surroundings. Her eye had no difficulty differentiating between human, meta, threat, and-

"Trinity, I think I've found Eclipse. He's surrounding by four meta girls with similar auras. He's in what appears to be a very large hangar. It looks like the whole place is covered in mirrors. There isn't a single shadow in there."

"There is a large group of Metas in the direction Theresa mentioned. We might be able to free them and create the distraction Theonis mentioned."

She covered her eye and looked at Theonis. She offered, "I know we can't bring them to Valhalla, but what if we could transport them to a medical tower or fire response center?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The soldiers fell to Legio's attacks, but not before one of the ones that had managed to come through before warned the others of a shadow threat. The rest of the soldiers that had poured through the other portals tossed out light pods that adhered to surfaces and removed any shadows on the floors or walls.
"Damn!" the wolf cursed. "These bastards are very well prepared."
The soldiers began to wind through the halls and search for anyone that wasn't wearing a uniform. They quickly met resistance from Valhalla's interior security.
The sounds of battle from outside the medical ward concerned Alec. He looked to Kerana and said, "Kay. If they break through, don't be afraid...whatever you see, it's still me, okay? I wont let them hurt you or the others."
Seven of the soldiers received orders to take target Gamma. They rotated a dial on their belts and sank through the floor like ghosts.
Gidget was leading Ako through the corridor to the mechanism to activate the Ragnarok protocol while she explained the situation.
"The machine that was holding my memories wasn't just resting on it's mechanical laurels. It spent the better part of those thirteen years making sure that this facility could work to as hard to protect it's inhabitants as our security force. The problem is that it was designed to be activated by one machine to charge it, and the machine holding my memories to command it."
"At some point, that electric thing that attacked us was attracted by the charge machine. It's useless now, and I've been so dedicated to us that I completely forgot about it until yesterday. So I need you to act in it's stead."
The soldiers that had sunk through the floor dropped in front of Gidget and Ako, their weapons raised.
Gidget cried out, "AH!" and immediately threw up a kinetic shield to keep her and Ako safe from the gunfire that had begin to pepper the barrier.
"I can send vans over there if we clear a path." she looked to Theo. "Theo, shall we proceed?" Although, this sounded like a good plan she wanted to check with Theo to see if she may have overlooked something.
As Theo took this into consideration Trinity went deep in thought. If Eclipse is in a room surrounded in mirrors… then the only shadow I’d have to work with is the one I bring in my trench cloak. Hopefully I’ve prepared enough to face him without my power. Odds are we will need Legio when going up against Eclipse.
She closed her eyes and covered her mouth. Locating him seemed easier than before when she had to locate someone in the Shadow Realm from the surface. She spoke into the cupped darkness, “Legio, join us. We know where Eclipse is and have a plan.”
"So it would seem." He responded. He followed them in the shadows. Their belt dial looked to be annoying so he had to do something about that. As the last one in line sank through the floor Legio used his telekinesis to turn it back to the original position. See if that did anything.
Theo was just thinking about his or rather....their options.
"How far much further is he? If Ravan can create a black hole near him that would be best. As close as possible. Even a guy like that can't escape from it."
"But releasing the prisoners will alert everyone of our presence and they'll put this place on lockdown. " Theo said as his mind raced. He wanted to help them but could they afford it?
"Alright. Let's go with that. They really need to stir up some trouble if they are going to serve as a distraction.
"
Legio heard Trinity as a voice around him. Interesting.
"Valhalla is infiltrated. They are.....troublesome to deal with. I have an idea but not sure if it works the way I want it to. I shall try to be there when I can. "
Trinity sent a text to the team that would be driving the vans. Nine vans to be more precise. "The vans are on their way. They will be coming from out of there." she pointed to the garage. "We need to clear a path to ensure they can get in and get out." Her eyes went to Theo, "I can get on top of one of the vans and create walls surrounding them." she waited to see if Theo had a better idea before she simply dropped down.
Ravan clenched her left fist and stated, "It's not that easy. It takes a lot out of me to create a black hole. Plus my range for being able to control gravity isn't that far. Only about five meters."
"But...if you can get me up to the door he's hiding behind, I can bring it down no problem. Then we can get at that Eclipse guy and finish this, right?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Theresa was getting tired of all the talking. She heard Theonis like the idea of freeing the others. That was enough for her.

While the others were discussing, she shuffled toward the large metal door she had mentioned earlier. The men of the facility were overconfident. There would be no one guarding it from the outside.
