"Do what you must."He responded. "Priority is keeping yourself safe."

"If only it were that easy. This Eclipse guy is bad news. Ancient, extreme dangerous and powerful. But just as insane as he is powerful. He's also protected by 4 of her clones." Theo said as he referred to Theresa. Which suddenly jolted his memory. About her clones, the playground and his dad. His dad...who was also taken here!

"Theresa! Where is the playground? Is it here?"He quickly asked her.

Alexavier caught the falling helicopters. Like plucking off the wings of a butterfly he removed the blades of the rotors. Those begun to circle behind him like a halo on his back. What was left of those helicopters was quickly dismantled. Floating besides him as more ammunition in the broken shape of wings.

Liv pumped her fist into the air. At least in her mind. She was glad her gamble worked out somewhat. Now that she knew that she could do that....she had to refine it. Could be very useful later on.

Theresa stopped mid-step when she heard the word "playground." She looked over her shoulder and hissed, "It's past the big door. I don't know if...if he's there."

Ravan interjected, "What if me, Liv, and Trinity went after Eclipse, and then you three go for the prisoners?"

Rydia, while still keeping her senses open to posible threats, responds, "I'm actually not entirely opposed to that idea. Although I think it'd best that Carak and I make our way to the command center."

Leo and Dawn were taking shots with their powers throughout their designated area. Leo had sustained a grazing shot to the shoulder. Dawn pulled him behind a corner for cover and exposed the damaged skin.

"Hold still. This is going to hurt." she cautioned him.

Her hands began to glow as she concentrated on cauterizing his wound. But almost as soon as the glow began, it started to spark and fizzle out. Her eyes widened with panic as she shook her hands in an attempt to make her light work.

"Oh no. No no no no." she stammered.

Leo grabbed her biscep to bring her attention to him. "Dawn, why haven't you taken your meds?"

"I lost them yesterday, when the beasts attacked us. I didn't think I'd start to lose control so fast."

A piece of wall chipped off, causing them to duck reflexively. Dawn whipped around the corner and tried to use enough air pressure to incapacitate them. What happened was a series of wet squelching sounds as the pressure in the hall increased to the point where the Daedalus soldier's bones were crushed like fortune cookies.

The siblings both dropped their jaws. It had been a long while since Dawn's power fluxuations were out of control.

The soldiers outside of the facility began to move out in formation. They had switched their small arms to AP rounds, and heavy arms with anti-psychic rounds. A dozen burley soldiers raised 50mm miniguns in the direction of Alexavier. In an attempt to keep him busy while the troups armed with M4s, M249s, and M203s made their approach under sniper cover.

Heather snatched Deora up in her arms and rushed them into the school as other metas fell around them. Heather grit her fangs as she flexed her bullet riddled wingswhen they were finally safe.

Alec put himself between Kerana with the kids, and the soldiers that were about to breach the door. He closed his eyes and sighed with preemptive regret. He looked over his shoulder to Kerana and whispered, "Don't be afraid.. please."

His sclera turned black, like dye dropped in water, just before the door blew open. The lights in the area flickered and burst. When the emergency lights lit up, the soldiers lay dead and decayed on the ground.

Alec breathed heavily. He covered his eyes with his left hand while his right hand hung at his side. His right hand had an ethereal glow that was fading.

"Soulless. Those soldiers weren't human. Thank god." he huffed through greatful tears.

Legio's attempt to twist the knob was met with a built in safety measure that prevented the phase to halt while the user was going through a solid object. The troops landed in front of Gidget and Ako then opened fire.Gixget was quick enough to use her right arm's kinetic barrier, but it prevented anything from coming in or out. This meant that Ako was blocked from the front.

Two of the soldiers swapped their firearms for Ka-bars and phased through the floors in a flanking maneuver. They appeared behind the couple and charged at them.

Ravan interjected, "What if me, Liv, and Trinity went after Eclipse, and then you three go for the prisoners?"

As much as she wanted to jump on this plan Trinity knew that Legio wanted a piece of this. Could she leave it to Legio to help with the prison escape, one that consisted of other meta-humans? Of which he could absorb their power upon merely touching them? Could she trust him with her troops who are in the process of following her orders to make their way to their destination. "Actually, one slight adjustment. Legio, you go with Ravan and Crystalian. I'll help Theo and Theresa with the prisoners. I need to steer my troops in the right direction."

"This is...quitte vexing." Legio said to himself."Though I applaud the ingenuity, it's getting on my nerves."

He observed where they were going. One small group was wiped out by the two new arrivals. But it seemed that they were after Gidget as well. Her back was wide open so he stepped in.

Legio upped his speed and leaped out of the shadow with massive claw aiming to end the two attackers in one go before fading into shadow again. Fast kills and even faster absorption of the kill.

"Trinity, I am not a part of your strike team. With more time I will send someone else."

"I am fine with whatever as long as I stay with Ravan. I can just as easily take the prisoners away like you can Trinity. But it's harder for me to transport trucks." Crystalion stated

"Can you do that Trin? Load the prisoners into the trucks and sinking them into the shadow as well? It's the fastest way to get them out of here."

Trinity frowned at Legio’s response. Based on Ravan’s idea she was hoping he could go with them to go to Eclipse while she, Theonis and Theresa would rescue the prisoners.

“Looks like Legio is not on board with that plan at this time… In that case, instead of splitting up, we need to focus on setting the distraction. Then take the fight to Eclipse."

"And to answer the question, yes.” She would have hesitated with that answer before thinking it would wear her out moving vehicles through the Shadow Realm but ever since she received her boon she was able to endure a lot more when it came to shadow manipulation and teleportation. Things like that giant shadow golem that faced Legion which was roughly a month ago wouldn't cause her to break a sweat now. Though she felt she needed to be cautious despite this realization. She wouldn't want to be reckless.

At first, she was thinking surrounding the vans with walls to secure a way through the battles and would help them not get so disoriented. Yet getting them through the Shadow Realm would the least intrusive and the last thing her soldiers need was any form of distractions.

With that in mind, she dropped into the shadows the vans, nine of them, were we approaching the exit of the garage. She landed on top of the lead van. She covered her mouth allowing an order to reach the darkness of the vans "Go through the tunnel" at that point shadows merged together and formed in front of the vans. The vans drove in and they came out in the back side of the facility where the meta-humans were being held.

"Vans are here. They know where to go. Now, let's fill them with metas." she said with a wink.

Kerana spread her one and a half tails as an attempt to protect the children to some extent. Alec whispered to her, she wondered what would he be talking about. Then his eyes darkened, the door blew open and the lights flickered. She wasn’t sure what’s going on but knew that Alec was doing something, she was more concerned with her current environment and the sudden appearance of soldiers laying dead. This was alarming, she was fortunate until now she never witnessed people dying before. She bit her lip in thought for a moment. With her eyes closed she tried to re-assure herself that he’s still her Alec, right? She heard his sigh of relief, she too breathed easier knowing that they weren’t human. This was a different aspect she needed to adjust to. He has the boon of death and she has the boon of life. She looked to him when things were faded and nodded when he looked back at her though she seemed distant and morbidly wondered, what would have happened if they did have souls?

Heather watched as the split missiles began to spin out of control. One spun off, but the other was going toward a teenage girl with violet hair that was running toward Heather.

"Deora!" Heather cried out. She broke out into a sprint and pumped her wings a few times to give her a bit of a boost. With one more push, she wrapped her arms around the petite Latina and rolled her out of the missile fragment's path.

They stopped rolling with Heather being on top. She pushed her upper body up and looked down at the girl, their nose and muzzle nearly touching. She breathed heavily from the exertion of running and huffed, "Are you okay?"

~~~~~~~~~~
The soldiers outside of the facility began to move out in formation. They had switched their small arms to AP rounds, and heavy arms with anti-psychic rounds. A dozen burley soldiers raised 50mm miniguns in the direction of Alexavier. In an attempt to keep him busy while the troups armed with M4s, M249s, and M203s made their approach under sniper cover.
Heather snatched Deora up in her arms and rushed them into the school as other metas fell around them. Heather grit her fangs as she flexed her bullet riddled wingswhen they were finally safe.
Alerted by Heather calling her name, Deora only noticed the noise of the incoming missile after it was too late to get out of the way. As she started to raise an arm to bring up another ice wall, she was tackled out of the way. Between the sudden tumbling and the nearby explosions, it took her battle-addled brain a moment to catch up and understand what the dragon on top of her was saying. Her first thoughts were how she might enjoy this situation more if there weren't a war going on around them. She barely had a chance to respond; "Mierda," before bullets began to rain in around them, their impacts kicking up splashes of dirt as the dragon scooped her up.
She thought they had all just been close calls until they were safely inside and Heather set her down. The first thing she saw were the bloody holes in the dragon's wings. "Heather!" She raised her hands to one wing to gently hold it still while she inspected the wounds. It took her a second to remember that Heather's back had also been in the line of fire. She quickly circled around the dragon girl to check her over. "Are you hurt anywhere else?"
She was protective of her friends and teammates, but lacking any magical healing water, she wasn't sure what she could do for bullet wounds. She didn't have any first aid training apart from soccer injuries.
Gidget was leading Ako through the corridor to the mechanism to activate the Ragnarok protocol while she explained the situation.
"The machine that was holding my memories wasn't just resting on it's mechanical laurels. It spent the better part of those thirteen years making sure that this facility could work to as hard to protect it's inhabitants as our security force. The problem is that it was designed to be activated by one machine to charge it, and the machine holding my memories to command it."
"At some point, that electric thing that attacked us was attracted by the charge machine. It's useless now, and I've been so dedicated to us that I completely forgot about it until yesterday. So I need you to act in it's stead."
The soldiers that had sunk through the floor dropped in front of Gidget and Ako, their weapons raised.
Gidget cried out, "AH!" and immediately threw up a kinetic shield to keep her and Ako safe from the gunfire that had begin to pepper the barrier.
Two of the soldiers swapped their firearms for Ka-bars and phased through the floors in a flanking maneuver. They appeared behind the couple and charged at them.
Ako ducked down behind Gidget's shield, and tried to focus on a way to get at the soldiers. There were plenty of conduits in the walls around them, but nothing he could affect that might explode, except the overhead lights. His lightning arcs tended to meander like actual lightning, but not enough to curve around the shield. They were still direct line attacks, from his hands to the target. He'd have to expose at least an arm to the withering hail of bullets to get a shot off. He was about to follow through with that plan when two of the soldiers saved him the effort and tried to flank. With his newly-cleared head, he was able to sense them as they phased in behind them. He spun to put his back to Gidget, and released a strong bolt out of each hand towards the soldiers' chests.
Ravan pumped her fists and cried out, "Yeah! Let's save the world! Suck me up Trinity! I'll crush that door like paper!"
She hopped over to Crystalion and waited with trembling excitement to be able to actually accomplish something with her powers.
Theresa grabbed Theonis by the wrist and led him toward the holding area at a running pace. When they were within site of it, she looked to Theonis and asked, "Can you throw me at the door? I can't break it down alone."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 30, 2019 7:08 pm
The two soldiers that flank Ako and Gidget found themselves receiving a face full of lightning. As they were thrown back by the force of the electricity, Legio's claws sliced and absorbed them before they could land.
Gidget tilted her head and raised her brows in curious shock. It appeared that they had a guardian abomination. She returned her attention to the other four soldiers and shuffled closer to Ako. In the time they've spent together, the Gidget has gotten better at channeling Ako's power.
She reached back and touched a bare part of his neck with her left arm. She drew out his electricity and used it to overcharge her right arm, and thus the kinetic shield. Her arm made a high pitch whir, and the shiled burst forward and blew the assailants backward.
She swiftly tapped on the inside of her wrist and dialed a command for Ragnarok security. Three small metallic blocks, the size of shoeboxes, pulled from the walls around them and hovered in front of Gidget and Ako. They clicked and configured themselves to reveal small gattling guns within them. The barrels spun and opened fire on the assailants, peppering them as they were getting up, and kept them down permanantly.
The blocks reset themselves and hoved over Ako and Gidget's heads in a defensive circle.
"C'mon, we've gotta hurry!"
Gidget led them to a large, circular room that had two stations. One was a chair that looked like a high tech "jack-in" chair from the matrix that was positioned in front of a wide monitor. The other was a platform that had two large angled cylinders at waist level. They were hollow, save for the hand grips
Gidget went over to the chair and sat herself in. After adjusting her hair to allow access to her neural port, she called out to Ako, "Get up on that platform and put your arms in those holes. Take hold of the grips and unleash your power. To get this place off the ground, it's going to need a lot of juice."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Heather tried to open her wings to assess damage. The wings only managed to twitch a bit before they folded back in. She huffed, "I don't think I'll be gliding anytime soon, but I don't think anything else is wrong. What about you? Those missles could've torn through your ice. Are you okay?"

She shuffled on her knees to face Deora and put her right hand on Deora's cheek. She looked into the latina's eyes and asked, "I'm armor plated and fireproof. Why would you come for me?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rydia split off from the group and began to tear through any guard she came across while Karak watched her back. It didn't take long for some attention to be drawn toward her. She hoped it would be enough to give Theresa and Theonis a better shot at releasing the prisoners.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Alec turned back to Kerana and the children just as his eyes returned to normal. He replied, "I could either absorb their souls for power, or they would be caught in pergatory until I had a chance to-"

He halted himself i mid sentence as the gears in his head turned. He thought she had spoken to him, but after a bit more thought it was more of an echo in his head.

"Kay, did you ask aloud what would happen if they had souls, or did you think it?

As Alec answered, a shiver went down her spine down to the tip of her tail fluffing up her tails. Kerana’s eyes widen, her eyebrows raised. As he came to a realization that she did not speak the question he was answering, she shook her head. “Is this another part of your boon? You can read minds now?”

Trinity observed Ravan's enthusiasm. Knowing what the three of them are capable of she started to think that they may not need Legio. If Theonis has Thea, despite her age and size she can be a force to be reckoned with. She turned to Theo, "Hey Theo, a slight change of plan. You two take care of the distraction. While we take on Eclipse."

Trinity knew that she was going to be walking into a room of mirrors. This would limit what she would have to work with, which would be the shadow of her trench cloak. That may have worked okay in her fight against Shane but that would not cut it when it comes to Eclipse. She thought it would be best to head in there prepared. You ready for this Sil? Trinity stood up and held her choker and focused, "Silhouette". Her shadow shifted and she was placed in Sil's embrace. Both voices spoke in unison, "The darker the shadow…" then a blinding light enveloped her and Sil. She dropped down from the light, nailing the superhero landing in the process. Trinity stood up, once more her's and Sil's voices in unison, "the brighter the light." revealing she was in full-bodied armor, one that covered her neck to her fingertips. Light shone from the joints and on her right gauntlet was Sil's silver eye.

She approached the other two and said, “You guys ready?”
