Heather gave Deora a quick nod and hopped onto the ice platform. The soft scales on the soles of her feet did little to keep the inevitable chill at bay. She shuddered and reached her hand to Deora.

"C'mon!" she offered hastily.

With a deep breath to will her nerves to be calm, Deora stepped onto the icy platform next to Heather. With a twitch of a finger, Ice grew over their feet to keep them planted. The freezing cold seeped through the canvas of her shoes, but it would only be for a second. She'd never used her power over water to move herself before, so she'd have to figure out how on their way up. It was time to see how much potential that weird kid had really unlocked.

She closed her eyes to find the water again, and like a conductor calling for a crescendo, she raised her arms to shoulder height. Water roared beneath them as the platform started to rise. They gained altitude quickly, but it wasn't an uncontrolled acceleration. She lowered one hand to freeze the outside of the rising water column as they went to maintain the pressure of the column, as the facility didn't have an unlimited supply. Faster and more smoothly than she'd first anticipated, they arrived at the roof. Deora 'parked' the platform against the edge and released the ice's hold on Heather's feet. She kept her eyes closed a couple seconds longer than necessary, afraid of what she might see when she opened them.

Eclipse smirked, shook Ravan, and taunted Trinity, "What you call cowardice, I call improving my odds."

Trinity narrowed her eyes and thought Typical… She wanted so badly to wipe that smirk off his face so badly.

Chariot kept the same manic smile throughout the ordeal. When her master took Ravan hostage, she took the opportunity to capture Trinity.

Her severed arms sprang to life and clapsed themselves around her enemy. The shoulders slithered back up her torso and reatached themselves with a series of clicks and clanks. She looked up at Trinity and giggled, "Isn't this fun?"

Sil's eye circled around the room for any chance to use the shadows. She cursed her own limitations and whispered, "I can't do a thing from here. I'm sorry, Trinity."

Nova Blancke

It was then that she saw Ravan was in danger. It was a bad match-up for her. She fired up her Alteration Field. It was an area of effect type of ability that would either debuff their enemies of enhance multiple aspects of friendlies such as reaction and healing.

Then Eclipse took Ravan hostage. Her mind raced. She had a few options but had to time them appropriately.

"I don't know who the ******** you are talking about." Crystalion responded but mid-sentence she blinked Ravan to her side.

Trinity felt the cold metal arms wrap around her tighten. She heard Sil’s apology that there was nothing she could do. Even though the odds were against her she wasn’t going to give up. The world couldn’t afford that I have a plan. Just need the right opportunity. As she saw Crystalion respond to Eclipse, saving Ravan in the process, she felt something, within that made her feel ready to put her plan into action, her eyes glow as the Alteration Field went into effect. “Fun stops here!” Blades all over her body bursted through Chariots arms like giant rose thorns. After weakening her arms she made like Hulk and busted out of her grasp.

“RAAAAH”
In one motion her spikes disappeared, she drew her blade and stabbed through her chest.

Heather hopped off of the ice pad as soon as her feet were released. She focused her eyes to look for Liv's very distinct light pattern. The lights were scattered, but they were spread out from a single point. She moved around a fixture on the roof and found the puddle of of blood and spray where Liv's headless body had landed. Heather's pupils turned to slits and her breathing began to hasten. She saw bits of blonde hair, flesh, and the occasional tooth in a wide radius from the impact point.

Her jaw shuddered as she struggled to come to grips with what could have happened. She took a hesitant step forward to get a closer look at the macabre scene. One of the talons of her right foot brushed against something small and soft. She shuffled her foot back and looked down at what it was.

It was an eye. A blue eye. Liv's eye.

Heather's entire body tensed. She breathed in and out of her mouth rapidly, creating a puff of fire and smoke with every exhale. The hollow spikes whistled as steam burst from them.She reared her head to the sky and let out something between a tortured scream and a roar.

Flames began to lick out from between her scales as she glared down at the troops that still attempted to bring down the flying facility.

"Kill them...I'll kill them all! Lawrence, and now Liv! They'll burn! They'll all burn!!!" she hissed while the flames cracked her scales as though something were trying to break free from Heather.

Warden? The last log he heard from his father was that he too would be taken for experimentation. But now he is freely walking around on this level saying he is in charge of it? Despite him working for Daedelus, his father was still in essence a good man. Showing remorse over what happened to Gidget and how he was roped into the Progeny project.

"I know" He softly responded to Theresa.

His muscles tensed up. Theo didn't want to hurt his father but...this might not be his father. Not the man he knew.

"Any chance you can just....let us continue what we were doing?"

Leonard paused for a moment as he took a long drag of the cigarette. He spoke as the smoke worked it way out of his lungs.

"I'm afraid not. Don't get me wrong, I want nothing more than to see this place burned to the ground along with Eeecccllhe Master."

His eyes twitched inhumanly as he struggled to say Eclipse's name.

"But...he...The Master...wont allow that. Wont allow me, to allow that. You see...he has a way of getting into your head..."

He raised the cigarette above his eyes and highlighted a grotesque scar in the center of his forehead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Eclipse looked at his hand, where Ravan just was. The tip of his middle finger was gone. He thought Liv might try one of Lumen's tricks, and so he made sure that he'd have a hold on the girl no matter where she was.
The tip of his finger had liquefied itself and seeped into Ravan's brain. It left a nasty scar where it penetrated. He had the option of either controlling her actions, or screwing with her memory. Given the situation, he thought the latter option would be more fun.
Since he had come into direct contact with the girl, he was able to alter the perception of the others if they looked at her. To Crystalion, Trinity, and Silhouette, Ravan would look as though she were healing normally from Liv's power. Likewise, his right hand would appear to be whole in their eyes.
"I don't know who the ******** you are talking about." Crystalion responded.
He grinned at her and taunted, "Of course you don't, because you're not the Liv Crystalion that obtained the infinity eye. You're the cougar from the future that, while obtaining an impressive number of powers, lack the one thing that could make your victory so...sooooo easy."
"But now, you're forced to do things the hard way...'cuz that Liv's eyes aren't going to be doing anyone any good removed from her scattered head, yards apart from each other."
“RAAAAH”
In one motion her spikes disappeared, she drew her blade and stabbed through her chest.
Chariot looked down at the blade protruding out of her chest, chuckled once, and then glared up at Trinity with a murderous smile.
"You're taking this waaay to seriously." she sang.
She swiftly raised her left arm up and reconfigured it into a drill. Her right hand clasped onto the blade as tight as possible, then she thrust the drill toward Trinity's head.
Silhouette acted quickly and took control of Trinity's right arm and raised it so her silver eye would intercept the drill.
"Hurraaaaauuuugh!!!" she shrieked as the drill bore into her eye and sprayed Chariot with black blood.
Sil's eye was the armor's tether to the shadow realm. Her sacrifice had caused the drill to be drawn there instead of through Trinity's hand, keeping her host safe.
Silhouette was still alive, but she was losing the strength to maintain the armor as she lost blood.
Charriot just cackled as she was showered in blood.
Strength twisted her body back into place and glared at Crystalion.
Prism hissed at the group and moved closer to Eclipse.
Luna averted her eyes as the events unfolded.
Legio remembered what she said before. About how the first thing she would do was to bash his face in. Fair is fair. He let her. However without any ground to stand on, Cassandra's anchoring didn't come into effect, sending him flying through the shadow realm with great speed. Legio allowed himself to be sent off in such an explosive fashion for it was also a good display of her new strength.
"I am looking forward to it." Legio responded in her mind. "Now...if you want to throw Eclipse off...just change into me. You know how to do it."
The wolf spat and projected the idea of her hand joining millions of copies of itself giving him the finger. Thought copies converged onto each other like sands in an hourglass and made the shape of a giant hand giving him the middle finger.
"I'll be seeing you later...a*****e." she growled
She rapidly assessed the situation in the Daedalus HQ. Trinity, Liv, and the other kid were in a bad way. Rydia was typing away at a computer while surrounded by bodies. Theonis and the metal girl from the day before were facing off against some old guy.
Trinity and the others were in the worst situation, but she knew what Eclipse was doing. He was stalling for time. The lunar eclipse would be happening a few time zones away. She deduced that the device he and the clone were guarding had something to do with that.
As much as she wanted to jump into the thick of things, the mirror hangar made thing very difficult to do that. But, Eclipse thought she was dead, and he was clearly fixed on the invading women.
She hoped her student and her companions would be able to keep his attention, and their lives, just long enough for her to be able to disable the machine with her newfound power.
Theresa glared at her father when he seemed to glitch out. She'd seen similar reactions in her sisters. Hell, she had that thing in her head as well until she was knocked out of the shadow realm by the dog woman. Something about that golden light must've knocked whatever it was out.
She knew there would be no more talking with her father. Things were about to get very very bad.
"Theonis...put me down." she demanded flatly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ravan was coughing up the diamond dust as Crystalion's power worked it's magic. But her head hurt, and she felt very weak. She didn't want to move.

Hey kid.

Her eyes snapped open at the voice that echoed in her head. She looked around frantically as her surroundings came into focus. She was no longer in the hangar with Crystalion or the others. She was in the wasteland of her timeline.

She looked up and gazed straight into the infernal eye that constantly looked down on the survivors. She panicked and averted her eyes so as to not be driven mad by the sight. But she felt nothing.

She cracked open her eye lids and peeked up at the thing that blocked the sky. When she still felt nothing, she opened them all the way and looked up at the thing.

"Wha?"

Confused? It happens to everyone at first. You're in one of your memories.

That voice? Was it Eclipse?

Bingo. While I had you in my grasp, I noticed that you had some...gaps in your memory. Well I thought I'd do you a solid and take care of that for you.

Ravan stood up and spun on her heels as she attempted to find where his voice was coming from. Then she realized that something was off. Everything looked so much bigger around her. She looked down to see if she was in a hole or a pit of some kind, but she was not prepared for what she saw.

She was in tattered clothing. Very small clothing. She looked down at her stumpy hands and legs and finally put together that she had become a small child.

"Wh-what's?! What'd you do?!" she squeaked out in a panic.

Just taking you a little farther back, to where the gap is. It seems you've got some mommy issues in those gaps. So many unanswered questions. So much angst. So much doubt. Well I'm here to help you understand.

She tried to fly away with her powers, but she had no control over them at that age. The landscape around her shifted again. This time there was no horror in the sky, but things around her were still as bad.

"Why? Why are you doing this?" she demanded.

Shush shush shush. I know you're scared. This place is especially scary. Since this is where you were abandoned.

"Wha-"

She was cut off when the ground beneath her crumbled away. She cried out as she felt gravity take control of her in the worst way. Far down below was a gorge of fire, stone, and metal that (in her 4 year old mind) looked as though it wanted to swallow her whole.

Her decent was suddenly halted when her arm was grabbed by someone above her. She could feel the warm tears in her eyes as she looked up to see the face of...

"Mommy?" she sobbed. She finally saw her face. Who she saw only made the tears flow harder.

The woman looked down at her with no emotion and simply said, "Sorry, Kid."

Then the woman let go of Ravan's small arm.

Ravan screamed as she fell into Hell and as her heart broke. She kept her eyes locked on the woman that threw her away.

I know it's scary, but don't worry...

The inferno beneath Ravan changed into Eclipse's Cheshire grin and devoured Ravan.

...Daddy's here.

Meanwhile, in the world outside of Ravan's nightmare, she was in a cold sweat and trembling with fright. Her brow creased as she muttered deliriously.

"How...how could you?"

Theo's eyes went wide after seeing what was done to his father.

"Dad....what did he do to you?" There was a certain tremor in his voice upon realizing that it might be impossible to not fight his own father.

Theresa's voice caught his attention. It was hard not to. But he did as she asked.
He took a deep breath and exhaled, steadying himself or at least tried to.

"Alright. Sorry about this." He said and sent out a burst of pressure to rattle his father's brains intending to knock him out. That way it wouldn't be much of a fight.

How did he know?

She took a quick glance at Ravan then back at him.

How much does he know?

She then heard the news of her younger self.

"Yeah that's never a nice feeling. You always remember the first time." She calmly said.

Eclipse was stalling. She had seen and dealt his type many times before. He needed those mirrors. So let's remove those from the equation.

Crys stompted her left foot and sent out a massive shockwave across the room. A shattering wave of pressure. It always felt wrong using his powers but in this situation, he would forgive her right?

What the-

SILL!!!

nononono… don’t leave me …

She placed her foot on Chariot’s shoulder pushing away from her, pulling the blade out and shrinking it in the process landing at the rear of her opponent. She wasn’t sure if this was the best idea but she didn’t want to lose Silhouette “Release” her hesitation did delay it so tried again and willed it so. I can’t afford to lose you. The armor faded and she was wearing Gidget’s toughest armor with her green trench coat on top providing her with some darkness to work with within the coat.

She manipulated some of the shadow to be on the soles of her boots allowing her to stick on the metallic body. From the darkness of her sleeve she’s drew her glaive. Tears streaming down her face along with her eyes glowing “THIS IS NOT A GAME!”

She rushed forward and with calculated moves Teshoumaru would be proud off. After one more dodge to the left then swiped upward followed by another hit toward her chin with the base of her weapon. She landed behind her and pressed shaft of her glaive place against Charriot’s jugular pulling it upward and toward herself applying pressure on her jugular, in a form of sleeper hold. “Tell me Chariot what will you do when there is no one left to play with? After your boss is done what do you think will be left?”

Cassandra looked at herself and the growing mass of orbs. She was thinking but it didn't really show on her face. It seemed Damian knew how to get rid of it on his own. Good boy.

"Can you tell if it's organic? Maybe you can consume it. If that won't help....then maybe...freezing it or perhaps burning it? I don't know."

Alexavier saw where his playmate was and then...wasn't. Did....did that ******** just teleport? There wasn't a lot of time to think about that with everything going on. And now this waterhead was preparing something else? His forehead rippled...no wait it was the air itself. He wasn't going to try and block it. In the air he had a lot of mobility. Alexavier dashed around his enemy to try and grab hold of one of rods sticking out of his foe. See what happens if he were to break one off.

Kerana

Kerana’s eyes widened as Alec informed her of the lack of corpses, including Liv’s. Tears rolled down her cheeks. I’m not sure… I did sense a spike of sorts earlier but could not get a clear sense who and I can’t sense it now.

“I-“ she was shooken up as she heard a question regarding her mental exchange. The kitsune calmed her self it must be one of her abilities. She saw the concern in her eyes. “I think it’s my friend Liv… I don’t think I know the other older too well. But I can’t be completely certain. I’m sorry.” she sniffed and rubbed her eyes. As much as she wanted to rule it out entirely she also did not want to mislead.

This boon is very new to her and although she has gotten familiar with it she hadn’t had much time to use it, to figure out the extent of her power’s capabilities.

Dawn let out a half sigh of relief. Leo held her shoulder in an attempt to comfort his panicked sister. He looked to Kerana and Alec then asked, "Things are pretty messed up out there. Dawn and I have no experience fighting soldiers. All we've had to deal with our whole lives are bio-beasts."

Alec replied, "We aren't much better. I've technically been dead for the last few years and Kerana has no combat experience that I know of. I have an ace up my sleeve, but it's something I'd rather not use if I can help it. "

"Why not?" Dawn asked.

"Because that ace doesn't care if it kills friend or foe. It just kills...unless."

Alec spun to Kerana and took both of her hand into his. He raised them up to chest level and looked deep into her eyes.

"Kerana, if you have the boon of life, you might be able to shield the good guys from my death shroud. I know it sounds like a lot, but you can do it if you become terminal."

After a second's pause he took a breath and corrected, "Wait, I just realized how that sounds. Not terminal like dying, I mean by using your boon to break your body's limits and unleash your source beyond what would be normal."

Chariot fought against the shaft with everything she could muster, but Trinity's leverage was quickly overpowering her. She coughed and shifted her eyes toward Trinity. She giggled, "Silly lady. This is the ultimate game. Lives on the Line. Winner takes all. Every game has to have a winner, and it'll be us! Winner winner-"

Her legs contracted before she sprung toward the ceiling while cackling, "-chicken dinner!"

She was going to try and crush Trinity between the base that made up her lower torso and the ceiling.

Silhouette cried out, "Trinity, your coat!!!"

Prism jumped forward to shield her master by dissipating into a thick cloud of diamond dust, only to be blown away and scattered by the sheer force of the pressure wave.

Eclipse brought his hand up to his mouth and yawned. The pressure wave smashed against an invisible wall in front of him and did no harm to the machine.

"Ah ha! DE-NIED! Guess my sister didn't tell you that I can copy powers so long as I have line of sight on the user. A little perk of being attuned to the void as well as shadows."

Behind him, Prism slowly came together in front of the machine. It was just for a moment, but she cast a shadow over the machine.

The wolf wasted no time. She used the momentary shadow Prism cast to cross over into the room while everyone had their attention on Trinity and Liv. Silently, she and scaled shimmied up and around the machine with her claws, being cautious not to set off any alarms.

When she was in a position to crane her head toward Liv, she used her left arm to make a circular motion. Hoping the woman would be able to somewhat read wolf lips, she mouthed "Keep him talking."

Leonard's eyes rolled back into his head as he tilted backward and hit the ground hard.

But, he only laid still for a few seconds.

The ground of the maximum security wing shook with Theonis' father at it's center. The back of his clothing tore as his body became one with the metallic floor beneath him. He was raised from the ground and partially consumed by the metal that twisted beneath him and left only his upper body exposed. The walls and ceiling around them then began to break and contort. Every bit of metal that was connected him was coming together to create a massive, grotesque parody of Leonard's face and head, with his still human body positioned like the jewel of a horrible circlet.

The door and walls behind it created a pseudo neck and rib cage. That exposed the cells to the view of Theonis and Theresa. The prisoners inside shouted and banged against their clear cages as the display unfolded. The head tilted to the left and snapped it right arm out of the walls. It then shifted to the right in order to free it's left arm.

The head's eyes, which were the size of an average man, lit up with an unfeeling orange hue. They looked down at the intruders and scanned them. Once it was done, it reared it's right arm back and swung it across the floor where his children stood.
