Cassandra looked at herself and the growing mass of orbs. She was thinking but it didn't really show on her face. It seemed Damian knew how to get rid of it on his own. Good boy.

"Can you tell if it's organic? Maybe you can consume it. If that won't help....then maybe...freezing it or perhaps burning it? I don't know."

Damien looked the orbs over and bit his bottom lip with uncertainty. He didn't consume the ones stuck to his body because the found the idea of feeding on living tissue disgusting and horrifying. For the last month he'd been essentially starving himself. It seemed he would need to make an exception if he was going to save his mother.

He winced and split his arms into number necessary to touch the offending orbs. They began to shrink like water through a straw. Once he was done, he brought himself back to the proper number of arms. He looked at Cassandra and smiled. Then the smile turned into a look of confusion.

"HNNG!"he grunted as he gripped his chest and fell onto his back. His pallor took a turn for the pale and he began to breath rapidly and deeply.

Alexavier saw where his playmate was and then...wasn't. Did....did that ******** just teleport? There wasn't a lot of time to think about that with everything going on. And now this waterhead was preparing something else? His forehead rippled...no wait it was the air itself. He wasn't going to try and block it. In the air he had a lot of mobility. Alexavier dashed around his enemy to try and grab hold of one of rods sticking out of his foe. See what happens if he were to break one off.

The rod slipped out of the subject's back with some resistance. The man's body twitched and convulsed violently for a few seconds before becoming still again in midair. He spun to face Alexavier and looked to him. Except his eyes weren't quite as lost as they were a moment ago. They were just a bit more lucid. The rod Alexavier had removed was limiting the subject's power alongside the others.

The man huffed, smirked stupidly and raised his hand toward Alexavier. He released a bone shattering psychic force wave toward the metahuman he was designed to stand against.

Leonard's eyes rolled back into his head as he tilted backward and hit the ground hard.

But, he only laid still for a few seconds.

The ground of the maximum security wing shook with Theonis' father at it's center. The back of his clothing tore as his body became one with the metallic floor beneath him. He was raised from the ground and partially consumed by the metal that twisted beneath him and left only his upper body exposed. The walls and ceiling around them then began to break and contort. Every bit of metal that was connected him was coming together to create a massive, grotesque parody of Leonard's face and head, with his still human body positioned like the jewel of a horrible circlet.

The door and walls behind it created a pseudo neck and rib cage. That exposed the cells to the view of Theonis and Theresa. The prisoners inside shouted and banged against their clear cages as the display unfolded. The head tilted to the left and snapped it right arm out of the walls. It then shifted to the right in order to free it's left arm.

The head's eyes, which were the size of an average man, lit up with an unfeeling orange hue. They looked down at the intruders and scanned them. Once it was done, it reared it's right arm back and swung it across the floor where his children stood.

Theresa watched in terror as the doctor became the giant mass of twisted metal that towered over her and Theonis. She took a few steps backward as they were being scanned. Then, as the giant arm reared itself back, Theresa's conditioning took over.

Her right arm reconfigured into a short range pressure gun. She aimed at the ground and used the momentum of the pressure blast to launch herself up and onto the arm as it finished it's swing. She stumbled and then recovered quickly as she landed, once more re configuring her arm into her preferred rifle. She ran up the arm toward the head and fired at the eyes of the massive metal skull.

Alec replied, "We aren't much better. I've technically been dead for the last few years and Kerana has no combat experience that I know of. I have an ace up my sleeve, but it's something I'd rather not use if I can help it. "

"Why not?" Dawn asked.

"Because that ace doesn't care if it kills friend or foe. It just kills...unless."

Alec spun to Kerana and took both of her hand into his. He raised them up to chest level and looked deep into her eyes.

"Kerana, if you have the boon of life, you might be able to shield the good guys from my death shroud. I know it sounds like a lot, but you can do it if you become terminal."

After a second's pause he took a breath and corrected, "Wait, I just realized how that sounds. Not terminal like dying, I mean by using your boon to break your body's limits and unleash your source beyond what would be normal."

Kerana shook her head indicating that her experience in combat had not changed. When he mentioned being dead for years, it was technically not true and n the outside at least. What was years to him learning his boon was hours out here? It was no wonder Damien was trying to rush her to save him. It may have been less than a day definitely but it was pure luck that she was able to save him. She looked at him, when they reunited it didn’t occur to her so much time had passed for him. He still looked the same when she last left him in the hospital bed.

She focused on the conversation when he mentioned why it was a bad idea her brow furrowed at the thought of it. She raised a brow when he said unless. Then he held her hands she blushed Oh no… her ears lowered as he asked to do something. “Go beyond what I can normally can. I got this boon yesterday… I barely know what’s normal with it. I want to help. But I just not don’t know how.” she felt useless.

Chariot fought against the shaft with everything she could muster, but Trinity's leverage was quickly overpowering her. She coughed and shifted her eyes toward Trinity. She giggled, "Silly lady. This is the ultimate game. Lives on the Line. Winner takes all. Every game has to have a winner, and it'll be us! Winner winner-"

Her legs contracted before she sprung toward the ceiling while cackling, "-chicken dinner!"

She was going to try and crush Trinity between the base that made up her lower torso and the ceiling.

Silhouette cried out, "Trinity, your coat!!!"

Trinity was already half expecting what her next move was. The other half was expecting she would render her unconscious but that plan is scrapped. Time for plan B. Trinity has been through similar scenarios like this many times before, it almost seemed routine. Despite Sill calling out to her she waited a couple seconds just to ensure that her opponent thought she had her. Her glaive dropped to the floor with a clang.

She took a brief moment to see Sill winking at her as if she had an ace up her sleeve. When the satisfying crunch was not heard, not felt, there was only her coat. As the metallic body fell the coat slowly hovered long enough Trinity launches from within the coat like she was launched from a cannon from close range separating Charriot’s torso from from her giant daddy-long legs. She landed on the ground wearing her green coat picking up her glaive. “‘Bout time you got off your high horse.”

Theo was glad that was over. Until the ground shook. He witnessed as his father became what seemed to be a final boss from one of the games he used to play. Only this wasn't a game. This was his father as a Meta broken by Eclipse.

"No, no no no no no."Theo could only say in his realization knowing that they would not get past him without a fight. A fight possibly to the death. He had to end this quickly!

As the arm struck them he leaped up, assisted by his power and remained in the air as Theresa attacked. She didn't go for their father's actual body. Which had to be the only way to beat this. He really did not want to hurt his father but there really was no other way!

Come on, think! It's what you're so good at.

His hand touched the hilt of the sword at his side.

Mithril! It shuts down powers and bypasses defenses caused by that power. But it'll break against those hands. I have to....stab him with it. Vitals are a no-go. Arm? Shoulder. Those are my safest bets.

He flew towards his fathers exposed upper body. His sword not yet drawn but he fully intended to draw it and stab his fathers shoulder when he got closer.

She felt the orbs leaving her body which felt surprisingly pleasant compared to the cold gel-like substance. The woman was about to speak up when Damian's demeanor changed Cassandra caught him.

"Damian! What's wrong?!" She was frantically thinking about what could be wrong. Could it be a reaction to his first....'meal'?

"Huh....alright then." Alexavier said as he observed what happened. Feeling the telekinetic force build up he dropped the himself to get out of the way and used his own as a blade by concentrating it. Alexavier aimed at both the man's hand and rods on his back with two telekinetic blades.

Alec huffed and blurted out, "You're not useless! How could you even think that? Look at the proof in front of you."

His eyes softened, and he smiled in a way that he never used to over a month ago. It was love and faith. He truly believed in Kerana. Not her abilities. Just her.

"Not only did you bring me back, you wrest me from death himself. You overpowered his grip on me. Yes it was your power, but that's all it is. YOUR power."

"And I can help you. For all his faults, Crosis taught me everything about how we manifest our connection to the source."

"So don't put yourself down anymore, and let's save Valhalla together."

"Awww. He loves her so much." dawn sang with a glint in her eye.

"Shush! Don't interrupt them." Leo chided.

A pink hue overtook Alec's cheeks, but he didn't avert his gaze from Kerana's.

"Your sister? What makes you even say I know your sister?" Crystalion responded." Something tells me you prefer talking about yourself instead of her though. Since you apparently know all about me or like to think that you do, shall I tell you about the future that you're trying to create? Because....you're not in it. In all those years we've never even found anything related to you. I guess you fell victim to the very thing you're trying to summon. Because you can't possibly think you'll escape from the clutches of what you want to release. You're not that naive."

Upon closer inspection of the coat Trinity saw the opportunity and prepared herself her voice came out the coat “Take your chicken dinner and CHOKE ON IT!” She launches from within the coat like she was launched from a cannon from close range separating Charriot’s torso from from her giant daddy-long legs. She landed on the ground wearing her green coat picking up her glaive. “‘Bout time you got off your high horse.”

"Don't be a sore loKRRRR-"

The girl's words were cut short by her body smashing against the ceiling she had attempted to crush Trinity against. Her eyes rolled back into her head, and then she was severed. Her lower body crashed into the ground, and her upper body landed with a squelching crack.

Silhouette covered both of her eyes in slight embarrassment as she commented with a chuckle, "Well done, but honestly...the one liners? Freya rubbed off on you a bit too much."

When Leonard spoke, so did the metal monstrosity. "Theonis!" it bellowed with a ear piercing grind. "Get away! I don't want to kill you!"

The metal around his torso rapidly reconfigured itself. The left side created a sliding barrier that moved up and down to protect the body from a targeted assault, and the right side created turret that looked like a crude version of Theresa's rifle.

The bore inside of the turret began to glow as it locked on Theonis' midsection.

Damien's body began to slowly rot from it's core. Black veins slithered their way up his extremities.

"It's, poison. It activated, once I absorbed, it." he grunted through the pain.

His right arm removed itself from his body below the elbow just before the poison worked it's way there. The veins crawled up his neck as he shifted his eyes toward his self severed limb.

" Use...that. Find...live body. Can *gasp* replicate...Hurry."

The limb's fingers dragged itself toward Cassandra. Damien's eyes started to become unfocused and dim as parts of his infected body began to break down into a lifeless ooze.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The subject used a small shield to block his hand, but the rod on his back wasn't so lucky. It took a direct hit and broke off, and in doing so released a bit more of his consciousness.
He could finally understand. The things in his back were making him slow and stupid. Well, that couldn't be allowed.
The man strained, grunted, and then cried out as he released a full force wave in every direction. He wanted Alexavier out of his face and the rods out of his back.
At the very least, he was free from the inhibitors.
He could feel the air around him begin to vibrate as his power and lucidity returned. His head even began to stabilize itself. Once it became solid, a grotesque scar could be made out just above his eyes.
"Because she's right behind you. Feeding off of that purple haired child like a power granting parasite."
He looked up and grimaced at the sad display Chariot put on. He audibly groaned when she smashed her head against the ceiling and hit the ground. Still alive, and still stupid.
"It's so hard to enslave good help these days." he sighed.
Then he heard the rest of Future Liv's little theory. He couldn't help but laugh at how clueless that bimbo was.
"Oh ho! You think that it? That I? PAHAHAHAHAHA! You stupid, ignorant little slut."
"In your time, the me there could do what he wanted because you human roaches were too busy trying not to be eaten by your failed attempt to kill Legion. He succeed, just as I will. But what you fail to realize is that he didn't fall victim to it."
"It...fell victim to him."
he revealed with an ominous tone.
The wolf was pleased that Liv was able to pick up on her queue. She shuffled around to the back and began to covertly screw with the machine just enough that it wouldn't set off any alarms.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rydia couldn't find a damn thing to prove Valhalla's innocence. That vexed her greatly. But then she saw that she could access all security cameras in the facility. That pleased the cat girl.

With a few keystrokes, she pulled up footage of where Trinity and Liv were fighting Eclipse. Half of the cameras were taken out. She surmised that it must have been from the fight. But the one's behind the machine worked just...

"Okami? Freya's alive?" she squeaked.

She shook her head and focused on the task at hand. Once she acquired audio she was able to hear a cackling b*****d taunt Liv. Rydia opened her earpiece coms to Trinity and Liv.

"I've got eyes on everyone in that room. I'm recording everything."

Satisfied with that, she continued to look into Daedalus' other activities.

Hello? The location of an orbital mirror array owned by Daedalus? She thought Gidget would love to hear about that. She quickly forwarded the coordinates to their tactician.

Cassandra visibly panicked as she saw what was happening. In front of her Damian was melting. All except for his arm that he has...severed? Use it? The arm? The only live bodies around were.....the children. She couldn't do that. Wouldn't do that. Grabbing the arm she ran off down the hallway, following the sound of gunfire. Due to her unnatural strength she ran quite fast through the hallways. You could even track her by looking at her foot imprints in the metallic ground.

****

Alexavier backed off and threw up his own barrier. as a preventative measure. As he blocked the force of his enemy, he could see the kid returning to a more normal shape. His forehead anyway. That scar was quite nasty though.

"Feels better doesn't it? Being able to think properly? Ya know, those people down there did that to you. You wanna ******** em up?"

Crystalion looked over to Trinity and the way she ended Chariot.

You go girl

She faced Eclipse again. Listening to his taunts and name calling. Which did absolutely nothing for her.

"Oh you are so edgy. You're saying that the thing that what I assume is basically Galactus fell victim to....you?" Crystalion said after which she looked at Chariots head. Her eyes shone as she fired an intense beam from her them at Chariot's head. It survived death before. Gotta make sure this time around. Aim for the brain...like a god damn zombie.

Turning back to look at Eclipse."Sorry about that. Well if anything you are confident in yourself that's for sure. How the ******** could you possibly control something like that?"
