Theresa saw Theonis charging the doctor's real body, but he wasn't trying to kill it? Why not? It was definitely trying to kill them.

Then she noticed the gun pointed at her brother. Her feet skid a she stopped herself and lowered her center of gravity. She was in the shield's blind spot. She raised her right arm and took aim at the doctor's head from a more steady stance, but then the arm beneath moved just as she fired.

She lost her balance and tumbled backward off of the arm. Only with a last minute clutch at the piece of scrap did she stop herself from falling, but she found herself in a bad situation. She was dangling from one arm and being swung around by it's movements.

Cassandra visibly panicked as she saw what was happening. In front of her Damian was melting. All except for his arm that he has...severed? Use it? The arm? The only live bodies around were.....the children. She couldn't do that. Wouldn't do that. Grabbing the arm she ran off down the hallway, following the sound of gunfire. Due to her unnatural strength she ran quite fast through the hallways. You could even track her by looking at her foot imprints in the metallic ground.

****

Alexavier backed off and threw up his own barrier. as a preventative measure. As he blocked the force of his enemy, he could see the kid returning to a more normal shape. His forehead anyway. That scar was quite nasty though.

"Feels better doesn't it? Being able to think properly? Ya know, those people down there did that to you. You wanna ******** em up?"

A soldier backed into the top of a T intersection in the halls. He fired a few shots into the meta lying on the ground and radioed in that he was about to rendezvous with another team near the pools.

He checked his 3 and saw an angry woman with a severed arm charging at him. With no time to think, he leveled his weapon and opened fire. When he saw that the rounds pinged off of her like tennis balls, he began to panic.

"Back-up! I need back-up! Subject Gemi-"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The subject could feel the power vibrating his whole body. It felt amazing. He looked over at Alexavier and smirked.
"Nah, man. Can't do that. You gotta die, or the thing in my head will blow it up Scanners style. Sorry 'bout this."
The man glared at Alexavier and winked. That wink sent out a pulse that would hit with the impact of a punch, should it connect, at Alexavier's face.
The soldier couldn't finish it's sentence. She wouldn't let him. Plus he couldn't since his mouth and throat would be clogged. Because she literally rammed it down his throat. Only the hand was sticking out. Cassandra had zero chill.
****
"Scanner Sty?-" He managed to responded before feeling the impact and his head recoiled because of the impact. Alexavier moved his jaw a bit.
"Okay that actually hurt. Not gonna lie. d**k move. Anyway, ya coming?" Alexavier said as he shot off towards the army. Time for some fun.
Eclipse took notice when Liv looked at Chariot. Just as the beam made contact with her skull, the thing Eclipse put in her head absorbed the light before it could bore into her brain. The beam seemingly left a gaping black hole in her head.
He looked back at Liv just as she returned her attention to him. "As much as I'd love the challenge of breaking it down for your tiny brain to comprehend, I think I'll let that stew as the last question you ask yourself just before you die."
Behind him, a buzzer went off on the machine. The screen indicated that the moon would be in eclipse in ten seconds.
The wolf clung to the side of the machine as it began to warm up. A bright light began to encompass Freya's mother in the crystal.
The three girls that were conscious stood between their master and the intruders.
Eclipse spun around and held his arms up to the machine. He laughed as exhaust fumed from it, causing particles to fly and clothing to billow.
"YES! Finally! No more Daedalus! No More Valhalla! No more of this useless planet! No more waiting! My ascension. Is. NOW!!!"
With one last pull, the wolf removed the panel she had been messing with and punched directly into a cylinders that were acting as a heat sinks.
The machine continued to hum and power up more and more, and more, and more. Eclipse's elation turned to confusion as he noticed the machine was beginning to glow in a very bad way while still about to fire. In the billowing mess he felt something tickle his nose. He wiped at his nostrils with his thumb and forefinger to pull whatever it was away. Just before it blew away, he thought he saw black fur.
"...No. She's-"
He looked up at the machine.
The wolf peeked around the machine and smiled at Eclipse. She gave flipped him the bird with her free hand and made kissy noises at him.
Eclipse didn't have time to act as furious as he was. He only muttered, "That...b***h."
The machine shot the beam of light, but it's intensity rocked the contraption a few degrees off and caused it to miss the first mirror and strike directly at the silo above them. It tore through the structure and began a chain reaction of collapses that started to bring parts of the ceiling down on the hangar.
The machine itself glowed brighter and brighter until if finally exploded and engulfed the room in the light of a thousand suns.
Luna quickly arranged as many orbs around her sister's and master as she could to shield them from the destruction all around.
The wolf leaped off of the machine and threw up her silver aura to protect her from the blast.
The soldier stumbled back a few steps and dropped his weapon. He stood in place and clasped at his throat while gagging on the arm in his throat. Not being able to breath was the least of his worries, though, as he felt something else going on inside of him. It was like he was being eaten alive by fire ants from the inside.
His body began to bulge and pulsate as the arm did it's dead. His eyes bulged and fell from his head. Then with one last full body pulse his skin and uniform fell away and around, with a sickening "schlopp" sound, a young man that stood where he once was like a dropped towel.
Damien stood naked and covered in what remained of the soldier's bodily fluids. He rapidly absorbed what was on him and shifted his biomass into the same clothes he was wearing a moment ago, only bigger.
Replicating himself inside the soldier had aged him again. He looked to be a little younger than eighteen. He looked to Cassandra, who he was nearly as tall as, and cried silently for a few seconds.
"I...I didn't want to kill him, buh-butt I had to. I was dying." he blubbered.
Gidget received Rydia's message. She smiled, because it was time to use the big gun.
Or at least she thought she was until the floating facility stopped in mid flight, causing alarms to go off all around her.
"What the Hell?" she audibly pondered. All systems were showing green. So why weren't they moving?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The subject rolled his eyes and stuck his open hand out in the direction of Valhalla. The facility came to a complete stop, and he mentally called out to Alexavier.

"Dude, I hate being ignored. If you go and screw with those Joes, Imma waste this floating school thing."

He flicked his right index finger and removed one of the hover apertures at the base of the facility, which caused it to rock a bit before Gidget redirected power to compensate.

Alec huffed and blurted out, "You're not useless! How could you even think that? Look at the proof in front of you."

His eyes softened, and he smiled in a way that he never used to over a month ago. It was love and faith. He truly believed in Kerana. Not her abilities. Just her.

"Not only did you bring me back, you wrest me from death himself. You overpowered his grip on me. Yes it was your power, but that's all it is. YOUR power."

"And I can help you. For all his faults, Crosis taught me everything about how we manifest our connection to the source."

"So don't put yourself down anymore, and let's save Valhalla together."

"Awww. He loves her so much." dawn sang with a glint in her eye.

"Shush! Don't interrupt them." Leo chided.

A pink hue overtook Alec's cheeks, but he didn't avert his gaze from Kerana's.

Kerana was looking down with her ears lowered but looked to him when he asked her to she gazed into his softened eyes,ears raised slowly like a blossoming flower as he spoke.

Kerana blushed little as he blushed. She had been so used to sitting on the sidelines while those with power who could do something about it use their power. Now it was she, she was now in a position to do something. Do something to save Valhalla together. “Y-you’re right! I did do all of that huh? Thanks Alec.” She always believed in him, and now he shared just how much he believed in her. Lost in the moment she kissed his lips for real not in a psychic dream date. When they parted she grinned and said, “Let’s go save Valhalla!” with a fist bump in the air. “Um… so… how do I start again? Connecting to the source?”

Something was off with her attack just now. That head survived somehow. Something physical would be better perhaps.

Again his insults fell on deaf ears. Words really don't even bother her. Insults are a waste of energy after all. Then came is cringe worthy exclamation. Before it all fell apart anyway. She had put her trust in that wolf. Despite it all.

The machine's humming increased as did the intensity of the light. As the machine fired it's beam she leeched off of it but she wasn't expecting it to all go wrong. The ceiling started to fall as the hangar partially collapsed. And then....then it exploded with the most intense light she had ever witnessed. And with it came her moment.

Crystalion stood in front of Ravan and blinked out of her suit. Stretching herself to her fullest she absorbed the intense light. Extending her reach, you could see the light curving and be sucked into her. She had never absorbed light such as this before. Her absorption strengthened and almost as soon as the flash of light began it was over. Her entire form was lit up with a pure white light. The light slowly shimmered down to reveal her standing there, looking like she normally would. She flickered her suit around her. But she didn't feel like she normally did. No, she felt....invincible

Alec's was pleased to see Kerana's infectious enthusiasm return. He was about to reply with a "your welcome" when she quite suddenly kissed him. Like before, he was shocked by the affection, but it didn't take him more than a second to welcome it. When she asked how to start, he was still in a bit of a haze.

"Conneck ta wha?" he muttered as if coming out of a dream.

He blinked a few times and cleared his throat, "Ahrm, right. Yes. The source."

"Okay, so, my theory is that since you posses the boon of life, your powers are the antithesis to mine. Two sides of the same coin, right? So anything I can do, you should be able to accomplish the same so long as all the conditions are met."

"For example: I know that resurrection is impossible if the body isn't conducive to life. The reason I know this is because as the embodiment of death, Crosis had the choice of taking a life or not. That is, unless they were missing something like a head or heart. In most cases that makes death inevitable."

He realized he was going on a tangent and waved his arms.

"Anyway, we can sense the living and the dead if we concentrate on it. The soldiers attacking us have a pulse, but they are soulless. So I think what you need to do is try and focus on just the people with souls; our friends and neighbors."

The facility shook due to the action of the psychic madman having removed a hover plate. But it quickly righted itself.

Alec stumbled a bit, but he managed to stay upright. He looked over to the siblings that were still watching them.

"Can you guys keep us and the kids safe? We'll try to hurry, but this might take a little bit."

"Of course!" chirped Dawn

Leo gave a thumbs up and confirmed, "Consider it done."

He looked back to Kerana and gave a worried chuckle, "No pressure. Right Kay?"

"Okay. So the trick in the beginning is to visualize things. If you want it, and can do it, it will happen. Close your eyes, and imagine a skyscraper at night. Each office, each light is a person in Valhalla with a beating heart. Then, try to remember how you reached out to Liv just a moment ago. You wanted to see her, to feel her life, her very soul and where it was. Use that feeling, that desire to know, to feel, and turn off the lights that are actually empty rooms."

Kerana smirked giggled a little as he saw Alec's response, gotta keep him on his toes. She paid attention toward his explanation, it was making a lot of sense how they share similar abilities despite what they do is completely the opposite, two sides of a coin.

She was feeling relieved about Alec being her guide through this whole ordeal. The task seemed overwhelming initially but after Alec's explanation it made it clear why Alec was a great teacher. She was certain that when it came to it she was going to be alright.

When he checked with Kerana, "Piece of cake with your help!" cat_wink

When he went into the in depth explanation about how they were going to complete this task it all made sense. "Wow that seems much easier than I thought." They found a spot where they could begin the process Dawn and Leo were focusing on their tasks at hand.

She held his hands in hers and they shared a vision of the skyscraper. But it wasn't from the same point of view. Kerana was in the building going from office to office to check if anyone was in the office Man this is going to take forever there are so many offices... As she was about to turn off the light to an empty office she saw movement outside. Curious, the little fox girl took a look out the window only to be met with a giant eye with an inked in tear drop?

"AIIIEEEE!"

She stumbled backward over a trash bin an fell and was hiding under the desk. Alec where are you? Wait… the thought occurred to her, this giant seemed out of place. The souls she did come across seemed to not acknowledge she was there and were all around her size.Why was there a giant out there and if Alec is not in here with me then… she goes to the window again. He was looking for something… or someone… worried he's looking for me She pounded on the window a bit to get his attention. Then she looked around this empty office grabbed the empty chair and shattered the window open with it. That got his attention and he took a look again. Confirming it was her he offered his giant hand. She took one step on his index finger then she gestured "one minute" she turned off the light and then got on to his hand. Her size shifting in the process.

She reached up to hold him. She suddenly found herself hugging him and she was the same size as him? They looked at the skyskraper this was way easier. She looked to him again and noticed he looked like he did when she and the others were in the realm of death she noticed that he did indeed look older than he looked before entering this vision. Not only her size changed but her form changed as well, longer hair and nine tails. She didn't have time to question it she needed to focus on the task at hand.

She looked to the offices and brightened the lights in each office. This was a lot easier than going from office to office she could see the silhouettes of people in them. She noticed that even the smaller metas were the same size as the normal sized metas, the same went for the ones bigger in sized and the aquatic metas, their offices were filled with water.

She made very sure that these were the offices with souls and turned off the ones that didn't have anyone but she had trouble finding one soul in particular. "I think I have all of them but I can't seem to figure out where Damien is for some reason. I know I saw him out there with his mom. Are you able to detect him?"

Silhouette covered both of her eyes in slight embarrassment as she commented with a chuckle, "Well done, but honestly...the one liners? Freya rubbed off on you a bit too much."

Oh come on Sill can’t a girl have a little fun while saving the world? Besides I bet Freya would b- It almost seemed like a dream she saw Okami/Freya “she’s … alive?” She couldn’t believe it. But there’s no denying it, no one pisses the enemy off like she does. She hasn’t changed a bit, at least on the inside. What were you saying about my one-liners. I’m not that- the thing looked like it was about to explode.

She summoned her armor “Silhouette!” she closed her eyes and braced herself causing a shield to form in front of her. She was thrown back.

Then it was over “Release” she wanted to make sure Sil could recover as much as she could after this and the attack before. Luckily, judging by how much Crystalian was glowing it seemed it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.

Alexavier stopped when he felt the man taking hold of Valhalla. It was.... impressive to the point of unsettling. That's a lot of power. Alexavier didn't quite know his own limit since he barely uses it to it's full extend. Closest he got was against Shane but that was essentially just flinging a giant chunk of rock around.

"Come on man, I ain't ignoring you. Just thought it was funnier if those Joes got caught in the crossfire. I mean they did kinda use you as a weapon. Don't care if you live or die and all that." Alexavier said" Come ooooon. We both wanna have some fun don't we? Or is that just me? "

"But if you really want to be boring like that then I guess fine. Let's just duke it out here." He sighed

Cassandra was a bit surprised. Not the process that happened in front of her eyes. But the fact that he had aged himself. That did not stop her from embracing him the way she usually does.

" It's fine sweetie. You did what you had to in order to survive. Nobody will blame you for that. But besides that....that man was killing the people living here. His death was the only way for him to stop. Don't think of it as you killing him. Think of it as saving others. It's one less person that can hurt others in here."

" You know I can't do that!" Theo responded. He saw the turret aim at him and dash off. At least he wanted to. But right then, Theressa's shot just missed his ...their father's head.

"No! Don't kill him Theressa!" Theo almost shouted in response. Her own situation was dire but this could get tricky. Stop her from killing their father while at the same time stop him and try not to get killed in the process themselves.

"Let go!" He said as he flew towards her. When he would catch then they could try and formulate a plan.

The subject grinned at Alexavier and released Valhalla. He drawled, "Dude, you're not listening. It doesn't matter what I want. The bossman put his finger in my brain and told me to kill you. If I don't at least try, then it's goodbye head. 'Sides, those Joes didn't do anything. I'm a Daedalus guinea pig. They made me, specifically, to kill you."

"So yeah, you seem cool and all, but I don't have a choice. So it's you or me. Sorry, man."

"But we at least take this where no one else can get hurt. Y'know, like a battle of the minds and stuff?"

The subject projected himself directly toward Alexavier's psyche and created a mindscape for them to do battle mentally. It was the pouring city from Matrix Revolutions. The subject stood opposite of Alexavier in the drenched street dressed like an Agent.

"I know this movie kinda sucked, but there was something so epic about this moment, y'know. Figured it be the best place for one of us to die."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gidget felt Valhalla move again and resumed her calculations. The campus observatory roof opened to reveal the massive telescope inside. With the press of a button, the telescope began to transform itself into something much less innocuous.
What it became was something that looked similar to the dish portion of the Death Star. Gidget quickly input the last set of coordinates and aligned the weapon.
"Just one shot. Please let this work."
The weapon hummed and fired a golden electro-laser. Once target impact was confirmed, Gidget initiated the self destruct sequence for the weapon which caused it's joint and circuits into a controlled explosion that wouldn't harm the rest of the facility.
Gidget looked down at the energy readout. That blast had caused the energy reserves to drop down to 38%. She cursed under her breath. At 30%, they wouldn't be able to move. At 20%, they would be forced to land. and at 10%, they'd be without the kinetic barrier.
"C'mon Princess. We need that dirt."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Alec blinked a few times and tried to remember where he'd heard that name.

"You mean the kid that made Crosis freak out yesterday? I think he said Damien was soulless. That'd mean neither of us would be able to sense him this way."

"But, I've got a way to warn him before I release the death shroud. Whether or not he heeds the warning is up to him."

Alec released Kerana's hand and stepped back from their shared vision. He opened his hand upward and in front of his mouth. His eyes glowed as he exhaled slowly and produced an ethereal blue mist from his mouth. The mist took the shape of a ghostly raven and looked attentively to it's creator.

Alec hissed a ghostly whisper in Latin, "Damien, the soulless child, must be warned. Death approaches, and he must flee."

Dawn flashed an uncontrolled blink of light that only managed to blind the soldier that had peaked his head around the corner. Leo quickly followed up with an incapacitating blast of pressure.

"Damien, puer sine anima sunt, oportet monuit. Mors appropinquet, et fugere debemus."

Dawn shuddered and looked over her shoulder to see Alec talking to his empty palm. She raised a brow and said, "Is that boy doing that speaking in tongues thing to his hand?"

Leo glanced at his sister and scoffed, "We just hopped through a portal from an alternate timeline where our world was being eaten by an infinite eyed sky monster, and you think that kid talking to his hand is weird?"

Dawn thought for a moment, shrugged, and went back to her protective duties.

The raven emitted a low gurgling croak and flew off to deliver it's omen. Alec took Kerana's hands again and explained, "You saw the raven, right? It's called a Close Call. It's basically that feeling you sometimes get when you know something bad is about to happen."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From a place unseen by those without a direct connection to life or death, the crow swiftly passed through walls and floors to deliver it's message of doom. Once it found Damien, it circled over his head and gave off a harsh, shrill warning call. Once it had said it's piece, the spectral raven returned to it's misty origins and dissipated to nothing.
Damien had been silently relishing in his mother's comfort when he felt something cause the hair on the back of his neck stand up. It wasn't a psychic reaction. It was something different. That, however, hardly mattered to him. What did matter was the sense of dread that came with the sensation.
He took hold of Cassandra's upper arms and broke the hug. He could feel the cold sweat begin to develop on his forehead as he suddenly uttered, "Mom, something's coming. Something really bad. I-we need to get out of here, now!"
The smoke began to settle, and Luna removed the protection from around her self and the other ne'er do wells. She and the other girls were taken aback by the wreckage that surrounded them.
Eclipse stood up and spun around quickly to assess the damage. His machine was split from the middle. Pieces of the crystal that had acted as the focal point were everywhere. He puts his hands up and pulled at the hair on his head as he cried out, "What. The. HELL?!"
The wolf was cradling her mother on her lap as the dust settled. The woman was unresponsive, but alive. The wolf was surprised, but pleased. She was sure Loke'lonni was be less so.
She looked up and grinned at Eclipse's easily visible spastic anger.
"Y'know what I think happened? You bought that thing from ACME. Bad move Wile E."
Eclipse paced around in circles in a vain attempt to calm himself. He whirled to the wolf and shouted, "How are you still alive?! You were consumed, by the spawn of a pulsating horror!"
He then spun to Liv and continued, "And don't think I don't see you over there, glow worm! You may look and feel ready to blow me up, but lemme tell you something. You're dying. Today! You, the shadow b***h, the old half dead b***h, and the actual b***h. DEAD!
"And once I'm done devouring the four of you, It's gonna be time for plan B, 'cuz I still got the Daedalus satellite up there."
he said triumphantly. He pointed up to the sky and looked up just in time to see Gidget's electro-laser pass through something that quickly became a ball of fire.
His eyes went wide, he clenched his fists, and he swore hard and loud enough to shake the building to it's foundation.
"Mother The wolf held her mother closer. She knew from past history to be ready for anything.
Even though Liv had taken in most of the light, Silhouette still felt like she had a sunburn. It was a pain she hadn't felt in thousands of years. She grunted, "Quick thinking. Though next time, should a similar situation arise, please use the light meta as a shield instead of me."
Theresa huffed and let go of the piece of metal. She configured her arm back to normal so as to not make the carry so awkward for Theonis
She looked to him and chided, "Are you serious? He's trying to kill us! Why shouldn't I kill him?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Eclipse's shout of anger caused Ravan to start her return to the land of the conscious. She blinked a few times before she was forced to put her hand in front of her eyes. It was so bright. Why was it so bright?

She peeked between the smallest space of her fingers and realized it was Liv that was creating the light.

Liv.

Ravan grit her teeth and felt her face flush with anger. Her mind was racing to the point where it felt like white noise in her head. So many questions. So many chances. But there were two that were louder than the others. Why, and how?

"You..." Ravan grunted as she pushed herself off of the ground. "How...how could you?"
