The Colonel considered Cassandra's simple yet impassioned argument. He had felt something was off from the attack on the beach. Until then, Valhalla had remained mostly inactive with only the odd appearance from Trinity Smith or Agatha Morris. Then, seemingly unprovoked, they assault a group of CH-47s in the process of a rescue mission directly over a packed civilian beach. As a soldier that normally saw things in black and white, Strom followed the orders of his superiors. But as the morning dragged on he began to see the gray.

But it didn't matter what he saw, he wouldn't be able to issue a cease fire until-

"Colonel Strom, sir!" shouted the PFC that was manning the comms. "We've been issued an order to cease all operations!"

Elise entered the code into her briefcase and pulled out an auto-injector.

The Colonel turned his head and shouted back, "On what grounds Childers?"

"Sir, footage from within the Daedalus headquarters shows a small group of Valhalla troops engaging metahumans that display the same powers as the ones that attacked the beach yesterday. It's happening now, and the footage is being broadcast over the emergency alert system. Wait...sir, we've also been given orders to detain any Daedalus personnel. These orders are coming directly from POTUS."

The representative jammed the injector into her neck.

Colonel Strom smirked and spun toward the woman from Daedalus. "You heard the order! Arre-"

Before the order could be finished, Elise's body erupted into an urchin of black and red biomass tendrils. They forked and chained their way through every soldier at the command post, including the Colonel. The tendrils absorbed the soldiers and withdrew back into her. All that was left were piles of clothes and weaponry.

She breathed heavily and forcefully removed the syringe from her neck. Her eyes were wild with adrenaline and whatever else she had coursing through her body after such a large meal.

She looked up at Cassandra and Damien and huffed, "That...was incredible. I can feel their strength and experience feeding every inch of me."

"But first...I'm going to break the unbreakable."

Damien tensed up and glared at the woman that had so easily killed several dozen soldiers. He could see into her mind easily at first, but as more and more minds became part of her whole it was starting to get more difficult. He could tell one thing, though. Whatever she had injected into herself, it was different from what had made Shane Morris. It was much much worse.

Small tendrils worked their way out of Elise's ankles and drank the life from grass and soil beneath her. What was once lush became barren and dry. With every step she too, she took the life from anything she touched and took it into herself.

"Mom...she's worse than he was. Let's run."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The subject laughed and exclaimed, "Holy crap, man! This is gonna be so totally ********' rad!'"
He split himself into six copies as well. The orb that had housed Alexavier a moment ago broke apart and orbited each of the copies independently like planetary rings of metal.
"Come at us bro!" he challenged confidently.
Alec nodded solemnly. "Now comes the hard part. Once you have a handle on who in Valhalla has a soul, I need you to try and protect them from my death shroud. Remember how I gave you and the others a blessing to remain in the land of the dead, well you're going to give our neighbors a blessing to remain in the land of the living."
"The real hurdle is going to be whether or not you're currently able to handle that without resorting to going terminal. I say resort, because going beyond our limits doesn't come without a cost."
He shook his head quickly to break himself from that train of thought. "But we'll cross that bridge if we get there. For now, let's go back to the skyscraper. Light up the rooms, same as before, but this time you're going to close and lock the doors of the inhabited rooms. If it's too hard to get everyone, then I'll help you reach a terminal state."
Kerana felt nervous as Alec explained what next steps are. She took a deep breath and reassured herself that he would be there to help her do what was needed to be done. She started think about how he did his blessing it was gazing into people’s eyes. How am I going to do that with all those people?
The rubble off to the side shifted and fell apart as a broken and bloodied Chariot rolled out from within it. She had managed to unconsciously reconfigure a fleshy lower half for herself from her severed "legs" just before her powers finally gave out and left her in a beaten state.
She wasn't laughing anymore. She was powerless and scared. Scared of both her vulnerability and the dangerous creature that she called master.
Eclipse's tartarean eyes scanned the room until they settled on the similarly seething Ravan. His visage shifted from wrathful from sardonic as he came up with what he thought was a brilliant idea.
She wondered why Eclipse was so focused on the girl from the future. The ancient cautioned Trinity, "He's never this quiet. Be on your guard."
Trinity had been keeping an eye on the pile of rubble where she left Charriot. She got out of there and she seemed afraid. This told Trinity she wasn’t a threat. Though Eclipse’s silence was very noticeable, you might say his silence was loud, hard not to notice. She took Sill’s advice and noticed he was up to something but what?
Then Ravan attacked Crystalian which felt out of the blue to her. She had missed what was revealed while fighting Charriot. “RAVAN STOP!” It didn’t make sense, why would she attack the woman that raised her. What has gotten into her?
Rikki Tikki Travi
Eclipse smiled at the result of his memory tampering. He sighed with content and quipped, "That feels a little better."
He looked down at Chariot's broken figure and frowned. He rolled his eyes and spun his right index finger in the air. "Girls, would you be so kind as to run interference while I collect your sister?"
Strength, also terminal, rushed at Trinity with all four arms ready to pound the shadow wielder into pink paste.
When she saw his smile she knew he had something to do with it. She couldn’t say how he did it but considering his reaction of Ravan lashing out she couldn’t help but think that he somehow caused it.
She looked toward her opponent then to Chariot. It looked like she could use some protection I got a crazy idea… She dropped in her shadow as Strength attempted to bash her to the ground. With perfect timing to cause her to think she may have smooshed her to non-existence.
She emerged from Chariot’s shadow. “Don’t be afraid of him. Let’s confront him together.” She offered her hand. Hoping she would be at least a temporary ally.
Why does his mind always go to the more extreme options whenever facing a problem? He didn't know what that said about him.
Theresa wiggled her way out of his arms and destroyed one of the metallic eyes which caused the shield covering his father to drop. Instantly he made the air pressure around him skyrocket, forcing the air out of his father's lungs and preventing him from breathing. Uncomfortable? Definitely. But if this wouldn't work he'd....really have to seriously injure him. His inner conflict almost overlooked the incoming attack. Theo focused his crushing power on the missiles and turrets to do exactly that. Deflecting the missiles could result in killing prisoners if it would hit the cells.
Legio pulled Chariot towards him to consume her. But the mithril disrupted that. His biomass greatly increased in density before bursting out large twisted tendrils at his foes. Eclipse, Chariot, Strength and Luna and Prism but in her current state would be difficult to hit. The tendrils rapidly unfurled to reveal a mithril barbed web or net for better words to catch his meals. Legio himself did not stand stil whilst doing this. He ran towards Luna as he did this.
That smile...it was unsettling. Not the smile someone would make when cornered. The warning came too late when Ravan's lunged at her catching her offguard. Same with the increased gravity. She blinked out of Ravan's grasp and put up the cancellation field around her. In rage she looked at Eclipse and fired of a powerful beam of light at him.
She sensed several lights go out. The suddenness of it made her stomach sank and feel sick. “What was that? Did you feel it too?”
Alec also felt the sudden shift. It didn't so much make him sick to his stomach as it did fill him with a sort of impulse. Crosis had told him about feeling a sudden change in the mors et vita statera, the balance of life and death. It came with a desire to stop the source and then correct it. The desire was made even more pressing by the sight of his beloved in physical pain.
He had to make a choice, and he hoped Kerana would be willing to agree.
He sighed with a heavy heart and suggested, "Kay, I think we have a duty to stop whatever is causing this awful feeling in us. If it's as bad as I think it is, we may need to trust that our friends can take care of Valhalla without us. I can stop it, but I'll need your help to correct it."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Leonard gasped when what felt like an anaconda's crush pressed the air from his lungs. It only took a few seconds for him to lurch forward into unconsciousness as his eyes rolled back into his head.

The missiles collapsed in on themselves and detonated in midair. The turrets also succumbed to the intense pressure and folded like paper, but not before delivering a salvo of rounds at the descending Theresa. The metal monstrosity lurched forward as it's creator did and fell still.

With the warden out of commission, the gates to the maximum security door opened and deactivated their power canceling fields. The prisoners piled out of their cells and ran to either find freedom or revenge. Many of them moved to free the remainder of the prisoners that hadn't been liberated earlier.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chariot looked down at the shadows with tears in her eyes and a tremor in her voice. "I-I can't. He put something in uHAAACGH!"
The biomass spike broke through her left shoulder and yanked her from the rubble. She wailed in agony as she reached a hand out for someone, anyone, to save her.
Strength struck the ground and then lifted her arms to examine her handy work. There was nothing there. She was angered by this. She looked around in confusion. A confusion that just served to make her more angry. She looked in the direction of Legio just as the net of biomass made it's way to her.
Prism had stopped in mid attack just as she heard Chariot scream. She solidified and turned to see what had dared to harm her favorite sister. Her eyes narrowed as the net of biomass came at her. Before she could react scatter herself, she was met by a blast of pressure that slammed into her back.
The wolf had done nothing more than strike the air as her as she could. Between her power, and Cassandra's strength, she was able to produce a tunnel of air pressure to strike at the distracted Prism from a distance.
Luna swiftly hovered backwards to put distance between herself and Legio as he closed the gap despite her efforts. A momentary panic caused a seconds hesitation in commanding her orbs to do something to protect the source of their orbit.
Eclipse sighed as everything went to s**t around him. Just as Crystalion released her blast of light, the mad ancient snapped his right finger and called out, "Snapshot!"
The world around him came to a standstill. The only one that was safe from the effects of the motion stopping effects of the power was Ravan, who was within Liv's power cancellation bubble.
"Snapshot" was the power that belonged to the Daedalus mole known as Kodak. Once the boy had been found out, and removed, from Valhalla Eclipse had helped himself to the kid's life and power. It was just as he had done with the previous head of Daedalus. But when he fed on a metahuman, he could take their power for a one time use.
The power allowed him to create a field that halted all movement like a picture. It only lasted for thirty seconds, and he wouldn't be able to harm anything or anyone. But he could move about freely and shift the position of things.
Things had gone all wrong. They had done exactly as he'd feared and organized themselves with backups for potential setbacks. He hated to admit it, but he admired whoever had out thought him. He figured it had to be Agatha Morris. He had been so close, and the lot of them had stopped his ascension.
"Well." he mused aloud, "At least I can cut my losses and screw with them in the process."
He casually plucked Prism, Strength, and Luna as though they were nothing more than cardboard fixtures. With Chariot in Legio's grasp, he'd have to send someone to get her later.
He huffed and opened a wormhole out of the place of his failure. He took one last look at Ravan and smirked. "Tell your Mom I said hi."
He recalled the piece of himself that he had implanted in Ravan. It slithered back to him and clung to his leg. With one last grunt he walked through the wormhole and closed it behind him just as the thirty seconds ran out.
To everyone the power had affected, he and the three girls had disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Silhouette nearly leaped from Trinity's shadow. "DAMNIT! What happened?! Where did he go?!"
Theresa crossed her arms and legs in front of her body and hardened the lower portions of them in an attempt to guard herself from the incoming rounds. She manged to deflect most of them, but a few found their mark in her shoulders. Others had grazed her head and legs.
She fell to the ground hard and rolled forwards until she lay still on her back. She figured her brother would care enough to come and see if she was alright, but she knew she'd walk away from such injuries after a moment's rest.
"I'm fine. Go get him so we can leave before the angry girl swallows this place like she's supposed to."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ravan was furious when Crystalion had managed to escape her grasp. She was tempted then, more than ever before, to suck the woman into a black hole so that there would be no escape.

But when she found herself unable to summon her power, she knew that she was within one of Liv's power cancellation bubbles. She was about to run out of it's range of influence when she noticed that everyone had stopped moving. Everyone but Eclipse. Even in her anger, she knew that leaving the bubble meant being frozen in time as well. She watched as the b*****d collected most of his playthings and then opened a wormhole. Her eyes belied the full extent of her surprise. It was the same ability she had used in the worst of times when she was younger. But then, it made sense, considering their relationship.

RikkiTikkiTravi
"Tell your Mom I said hi."

She was about to tell him to go to Hell, but she was cut off by a sharp and stabbing pain in the front of her head. Her forehead split open long enough to allow a black slug to work it's way out. The wound closed and Ravan fell to her knees with her hands clasped at her forehead.

Eclipse was gone, but so was the overwhelming harsh angst that had caused her to attack Liv. All that was left was the anger and sadness that she had felt when she woke up. Her hands moved down over her eyes, and she cried silently.

((Sorry thought I already posted with the twins))

Cassandra grit her teeth at what happened. Besides the bad memories she had at her only defeat ever against Shane, she also died because of him. And this woman was worse? Cass noticed how the life itself seemed to drain from around her. Her defenses are purely physical. Anything physical or physical effects don't work on her. But meta-physical things or concepts like life itself? Daedelus never tested that but she knew shouldn't defend against that. Her strength might give the woman trouble but what was the point if she died in the process?

"Guns!" She told Damian before picking him up and ran hoping that he would use the guns as cover. The Colonel did say that those things would eventually stop her so they had to be able to do something.

"Alrighty then! Let's do this! "All six took a stance and all shook their fist up and down 3 times whilst saying "Rock Paper Scissors!" After which they each revealed their hand. Mostly paper and rock. Upon noticing that the others weren't going to the Alexaviers seemed to look confused..

"Dude. Don't leave me hanging here."

Kerana nodded then started to fall out of their vision of the skyscraper. She caught herself before she landed. She looked pale, her breath a little laboired and she was sweating. Kerana looked up to him, “I’m willing…” she made a fist “I’m willing, to do whatever it takes.”

A hand did grab hers, it was Trinity’s. She looks to Legio, “Let her go!” Uncertain on whether he’d listen to her she looked to Chariot’s eyes, “Brace yourself!” she used the darkness in her wound to push out the biomass spike it looked like her body rejected the spike. She held her close, “You’re going to be okay.”

She looked around, “It looks like the 3 other girls are missing too…” she looked to Chariot, “I know you don’t want to hear this but, it seems he’s left you behind.” she paused to let that sink for a moment. He abandoned her, it’s not likely he’s going to come back for her. This sadden her in a way and she felt sorry for her.

When the moment passed, “I need to know. You mentioned he put something in you. What is it?”

s**t, did he miss a few?! He saw Theresa get by the missiles and it felt as if his heart stopped for a moment. He felt cold sweat. Did he fail to protect someone again?! Did he let someone die again?! But then he heard her call out and he let out a sigh of relief. She was alright. Looking over towards his dad he saw that he was still fully fused with his metallic frame. Part of him hoped that knocking him out would have severed that connection as a kind of self defense reaction.

Flying over to Theresa, he kneeled down besides her. She really was completely different from him. It seems that this wouldn't keep her down for long.

"He's still fused with the metal. Think you can you take care of that. I don't think I can get him out like that." He asked her as he helped her to an upright sitting position.

With the exception of one all of his targets just...vanished. Within a fraction of a second. The last thing he heard was the snapping of fingers and the word...Snapshot. It was a strange sensation. Legio retracted his tendrils that hit nothing but air and absentmindedly went through what just happened in his head, absorbing the rest of the mithril Luna had donated into himself. Trinity;s words fell on deaf ears. Once that was complete he looked over to the one he did managed to get but his felt his tendril pushed out. Fully retracting it he felt irked. Why would Trinity help this clone? Her enemy.

"Something in your.....head? I do sense something else in there. But Trinity...why are you holding on to your enemy? One that has something of Eclipse inside of it. Killing it is a far safer option. She and her sisters killed plenty of innocent people. And was actively trying to kill you."

Legio didn’t quite get what being human meant. It is a lot more complicated than one might think. It’s not just black and white. She thought it best to keep it simple. “She needed help.” Although the practical side of her would agree with what Legio pointed out. “A good friend of mine once said, ‘A small act of kindness can make a big difference.’” She stood up with Chariot’s arm draped across her shoulder.

She looks to Chariot, “He does have a point though. Supporting Valhalla’s most important rule, ‘You have a choice’. Continue with Eclipse and I may have to kill you to protect others from the death and destruction you’d cause. Or join us, in stopping Eclipse once and for all, saving the world in the process. Needless to say you’d be one of the ones I’d protect.” she awaited her decision.

"Ah! Okay!"

Damien grunted as he was hoisted up. He reached out with his telekinesis and raised all the guns that had fallen. He tried to command them to fire, but the weapons were a great deal more complex than what he could muster. Alexavier had told him to focus on manipulating small things, but Damien regularly shirked doing so for reading or taking in as much media as he could. He was confident that, with his lineage, he could take care of anything thrown at him. Only then did he realize that confidence was of the "over" variety.

He audibly cursed and just threw the weapons at the woman that was attacking them. He hoped at least one of them would go off by accident.

Elise easily swat the weapons away like bothersome flies. She bounded toward the duo for a moment whiled she shouted, "Why are you running Cassandra?! Don't tell me you're actually scared! Nothing can hurt you, right?! RIGHT?!"

The woman leaped up and over Cassandra and Damien. She turned in midair and punched into the ground in a super hero landing. Once her fist made contact with the ground she shot out a mass of tendrils that dug through the soil and burst forth just in front of Cassandra. The ground that had come into contact with the biomass fell prey to her out of control life drain power.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The subjects looked confused at first, but they became all smiles once they understood what Alexavier was doing. The one closest to the Alex's laughed and said, "Oh man, I haven't played that in forever. Here we go..."
Two of the subjects balled their fists and formed their respective metal into giant boulders of scrap the size of the New Years ball in Time Square. Two others opened their palms and created jagged nets of steel, and the last two created massive scissors after making a scissor shape with their index and middle fingers outstretched.
"Rock!"
"Paper!"
"Scissors!"
Boulders flew, nets sailed, and two subjects grabbed the scissors and charged toward two of the Alexaviers.
Her blast hit....nothing? Besides the wall behind where Eclipse stood. Everyone was gone. All of those transformed puppets of his and himself. Except...for one it seemed. That monsterous spawn managed to detain one of them. She did not trust him one bit. And seeing that tendril so close to her was unnerving.
But she turned her attention to Ravan who was silently crying. She did that more often than making noise while crying. Crystalion sighed as she moved in front of her and dropped to one knee, placing a hand on Ravan's shoulder.
"Ravan, please tell me what happened back there."
"None of that changes that she has a part of Eclipse inside of her head and is a potential threat to you. To Valhalla should you decide to take her there."Legio said in his neutral tone. Raising his finger, it elongated and tapped Chariot on her forehead."It's right there in the middle."
"Speaking of which."He turned his head towards Freya." I was hoping to see you in action a bit more than that Freya. But I suppose you got your mother back."
Flying over to Theresa, he kneeled down besides her. She really was completely different from him. It seems that this wouldn't keep her down for long.
"He's still fused with the metal. Think you can you take care of that. I don't think I can get him out like that." He asked her as he helped her to an upright sitting position.
She didn't want to. Not at all. She had no love for the doctor. He did little to stop what Daedalus did to her. Any love toward him was given by her more childish half. It was a half she envied greatly. Envied, and hated.
But Theonis was different. This brother that the doctor has spoken of often was a good person. He was kind to her without a reason. It confused her at first, but she was starting to become accustomed to it. Then he dove down for her when she fell. He didn't have to do that. She didn't ask him to do that. He just...did it. She didn't realize or know what she was feeling, things like trust and gratitude, but it made her want to do what Theonis asked. And so she would...for him.
"I think so." she replied with a nod. "Take me up to him."
